It is definitely a privilege to grow older, think of all those who do not. we must be grateful that we are getting older and everything we experienced- remember everything is a transition, nothing lasts forever, neither the good nor the bad things in life.

Nikol. Listening to your beautiful video today I just cried my eyes out! It’s as though I were speaking, only mine falls on deaf ears! Lol you are my hero! I’m a 74 year old makeup artist and I’m beautiful. I have about 25 lbs I could lose, but I keep myself much like you do. Recently I have been discriminated due to my age. I’ve been a makeup artist and esthetician for over 30 years I have a beautiful little one person studio at home. I used to do bridal party’s every weekend and now that’s stopped. My clients are mostly over 60 and you’d think we were ready for a nursing home according to society. I have more experience in my ( very steady I might add) hands than so many younger women looking plastic. Like you said, I truly make no judgment about anyone’s choices as far as enhancement.. it’s my business to make women look their best, but I’m so frustrated with “ being left behind” because of my age. I’m in good physical shape so far and have SO MUCH ENERGY. I do yoga everyday for YEARS. We are a group of overlooked wimen who have money and so much to offer, so I praise you, thank you for being the voice that so many of us lucky girls have!! By the way.. YOUR STUNNING! P

We ladies over forty are so lucky to have you as a "fierce" advocate for our demographic. I feel very fortunate to be 69 years old and healthy. My husband and I have been married 46 years and have two wonderful children and four grandchildren. I raised our children telling them that they are only given one life and live it the best way that they can. It's not really a quote but my mantra. Enjoy your beauty conference Nikol. Love the new cut!

I used to be the one who was sad about getting old, but now I'm proud of my age, how I look and what I'm doing. My quote is from Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, submit your ways to Him and He will make your paths straight. I tell everyone now, there are no rules. If someone tells me, oh I can't do that, or I'm too old, I tell them there are no rules, and if it makes you feel good, then it's ok. I'm 67, going to be 68 in November, and I've never felt better! Thanks Nikol for your videos!

YES! Aging is such a gift! I am 54 and critically ill. I need weekly infusions to live. In spite of that, my life has purpose and joy! Even though I cannot be as active as I used to be and my body has changed, I still have worth and beauty! I love what you overlayed on your video about God being the designer! Once I embraced that belief for myself, I began to see my body in a whole new light. I love this quote from beauty icon, Audrey Hepburn, "For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."

At 55 almost 56, I feel blessed and privileged to age. I don’t try to change my face or do invasive procedures I just take care of myself. I want to be me as I age and I don’t want to erase a single moment or expression or experience. As you said we all have a story🙌🏻
I would also love to tell all women, you are enough! You will look back and you will say,” wow I looked good and I took myself for granted or I worried to much!” Enjoy this moment and remember aging is a beautiful gift. Wabi Sabi embracing the imperfections of life and in ourselves and aging, a gift. Thank You Nikol 🙌🏻🍑🧡Lisa

Hi Nikol,i am not in control of "what happens in my life ". I live with chronic illness. Everyday is a living hell.Im 58.I have been ill for 24 years. Previously i had a career,a business. I raised three successful children. I looked after aging parents. Now i have four grandchildren. I cant enjoy them,i cant support my family as i want.I have excessive pain from head to toe 24/7.Im so limited its like being buried alive. I was a Colour Analyst, I taught all over Ireland. I was an Irish dancer, a singer.I have done TV. I was a radio presenter. Now,i am redundant against my will. So,maybe we could take a minute to realize, life isn't always within our control. ☘

Hi Jane. I understand exactly what you're going through. I have a chronic pain that I deal with as well. Mine came from a traumatic brain injury. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. The pain that you go through on a daily basis is something no one can explain. Worse yet, there's nothing anybody can do about it. I'm educated and I had my own business for 15 years . And after my husband of 27 years passed everything just spiraled out of control. And you are correct, life isn't always within our control. But I did learn one thing from it all. And that is that I needed an Escape Plan. It doesn't always cure but it sure helps get over some of the larger hurdles. Believe it or not it's something as simple as changing your mindset; I look at my pain as proof that I'm relevant. When it gets rough, I shower and then Spritz my favorite perfume on myself and my pillow. It's called English Rose. Sometimes I use English lavender. I tell myself constantly that no matter what's going on outside or how I feel inside, I'm still glad to be alive! And both fragrances seem to lift my mood and though it doesn't take away the pain, it just makes me realize that I can go somewhere else in my mind and live peacefully. May God bless you and keep you safe.

I am so moved by your story. I know what it is like to live in chronic pain and I know the disappointment of losing a vibrant career. My pain was fixed with surgery, but that does not seem the case with you unfortunately. It is easy to say to bloom where you are planted, that is not so easy with chronic pain. I found solace in music - I meditated to it, I am a church musician so that literally gave me structure when the rest of my life was out of control. Take solace wherever you can find it, enjoy your family, and although I am writing from Canada I just want you to know you are not alone.

This is a little long...and I can't take credit for it...it is something sent to me, but it is very applicable 💜:
"Love me or hate me. I don't care. I really don't. And it took me a long time to reach the point of being completely unaffected by someone else's opinion about me. It was hard work, but no one can take that away from me now. That soul work I did and all I'm still doing; its mine. I own it. It belongs to me. No one has the power to touch it, take it, or even look into the way I have rebuilt myself after freefalling for so long. I am free as I have ever been. Powerful, brave, graceful and strong; I did that and it's beautiful. No one has the power to turn it ugly. "
    God bless you Nikol❤

I live by Thumper's words from Bambi - " if you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all." I love this video - older women have come into themselves, they have dealt with life's challenges and pains and frustrations and have come out on the other side. What I love about Nikol's videos is that I found them at a period of transition in my life and they have inspired me to take care of my skin and beauty, such as is it - I am in the best shape I have been in 25 years, my diet is the healthiest since I was an athlete, and I can fit into my suits from 30 years ago. I may not like some of the wrinkles on my face, but I have earned them and they are part of my journey. So I say, rock on girls and live life to the fullest!!

When I was in my forty’s I didn’t want anyone to know my age, mainly because I worked with younger people. Today, I am 61 (and a half) and I have no problem telling people my age (obviously). I’ve come a long way - and I’m proud of my accomplishments and the knowledge I can impart when asked. As a matter of fact, I am graduating with my first bachelors degree next May! My motto is “it’s never too late”. After losing both of my parents, I knew two things for certain, I don’t want to leave this life regretting something I have the ability to accomplish/change (thus getting my degree), and if I can die knowing that I’ve made a difference in one person’s life, I will know that I have done what I was made to do. 🌺

I am happy to say my age has never bothered me! I'm now 65 and I've always worn clothes and makeup that have been ME. I was a severe introvert growing up, but I finally grew out of that. The only thing different now is the flabby arms (yikes), saggy neck, and dry skin. Don't know what to do about that, but it doesn't bother me all that much. I hope to live to be 100 and be lucid.

This is a video to be saved and watched again and again! This is a message girls should get from their mothers and at schools. We still live in a society where aging, wrinkles and silver hair (when it comes to women) considered something to be corrected. I am 43 and feel stronger and happier than ever. Thanks to information available online and otherwise, I am learning about so many things that help me, including mental health, psychology, fitness, beauty. Our mothers were brought up in a different environment and did not have access to information that could have helped them to feel more powerful and independent. But we do! Let’s share our knowledge and support ourselves and each other!!! One thing I am learning to do, and it is a process, is to enjoy every moment and do beautiful and fun things now, not tomorrow, not when “the time is right”. The time is NOW, ladies! Nikol, thank you so much for your videos! You are such an inspiration!

Sorry I am so late in watching this, I have been busy with hospital stays and doctors.
I just really wanted to tell you how much this inspired me. I have been going through a rough time growing old and this knocked my socks off, so to speak. I, for the first time in my life, have become crippled due to the hand of a brilliant surgeon that destroyed my back. I have been an athlete since I was four and I am having a hard time adjusting as I am reaching 70 next year. You have totally inspired me to see my life in a different way. I do not have to be a victim! Your words are amazing and I can't tell you how much you have changed me. I have had an amazing life, some very painful times and some of the most awesome times anyone would envy! It has all been part of God's master plan for the future and I feel revitalized that I have a future since watching you. You have inspired me greatly with your videos and I hope you will continue making me feel beautiful until you get old!
Your experience with IVF was poignant and it deeply moved me. And the comparisons between men and women??? My husband was a very successful race car driver and I (had) to be a trophy wife, a role I proudly endured as long as we were in the spotlight. I worked so hard to maintain my appearance, as he barely aged and I became a cripple. We all become cripples in our lives if we own the lie that we are not beautiful. Thanks to you I will put my energy into being a beautiful 70. I will maintain that it is okay to grow old but I don't ever have to do it without using my great skincare and putting my make up on. My wrinkles will be healthy and beautiful!
I just needed you to know that you have unleashed a monster!

It is indeed a privilege to grow older. I’m only 56, but one of the most important things I’ve gained just through getting older is perspective. The insight that whatever I’m going through at the moment, ”this too shall pass”. I’m a LOT less anxious than when I was younger, and much more comfortable in my own skin regardless of my cronic illnesses and other challenges that I may encounter.

I am very conformable aging and gaining wisdom, the freedom of being able to speak truth in a kind or sometimes firm way without fearing responses. I couldn't do that at 20. Maturity and wisdom is so nice to have. The women I see on your channel are really pretty and I love their acceptance of life. Aging is life......so I have never been able to understand why one would spend time worrying or being upset about aging. Just live and have fun! Inspire the younger women who you are around you. When I tell younger women that I am working on my "inner" beauty, they always love that idea.

There are always a million reasons why we can’t do something. We only need one good reason to go ahead and do it. And to not fall to fear, just keep going! Rattle the cage, laugh louder than you might, be generous and true with compliments. Keep stepping out of your comfort zone and you’ll find it grows!

I don’t think this country respects their older generation as other countries.
And yes, older men are distinguished and older women are frumpy… thank you for working against that stereotype!

I totally agree with you Sarah. Mental health for women is so hard, I know because I am one of the women that feels this way. I feel frumpy, invisible and very lonely. Plus all of that I am a widow on 21 years and was forced to retire and I have no friends. Some days are harder than others.

Thank you for using your forum to address aging in a way that many people are too afraid to do. Living a life of gratitude and acceptance is the best way to get that “ lit from within” glow that no high lighter can match.! When we affirm each other for who we are, lines, wrinkles, and all we are sending a powerful message. We are perfect in God’s eyes and our own. Thank you for all you do to help us age fearlessly!,

Living in the moment....drinking a cup of tea and watching your video of inspiration...I spent many years putting limits on myself and dealing with all my insecurities. I've worked through all my insecurities and finally enjoying what life has offered me along with my salt n pepper hair and will be celebrating my 48th birthday in just a couple of weeks. Thanks Nikol 💖

I felt young and strong, I'm 66, but got on my eight year old Goddaughters scooter, was going downhill fast, wind in my hair, but when I wanted to stop I put my foot on the ground instead of the brake. I ended up on my head and shoulder breaking my clavicle. Had surgery two days ago, but man that ride was awesome! Next time I'll bring a Helmut and pads; still living, still learning.

Thank you, I needed this girl talk post. I always watch you when I am getting ready and this morning especially was what I needed. I have been contemplating attending a 50 year class reunion and have decided not for predominantly two reasons: 1) several girls I grew up with teased me or didn’t like me for various reasons (it changed often), 2) God did not give my husband and I children and I usually feel others judge or pity me when I say “no children”. I know I need to let go of both of these but they are issues that bring up sadness and/or hurt. Thank you for you sharing, makes me feel that someone might understand. Love your blogs and makeup products. Wish I was brave enough to go grey, not there yet. BTW-I am 69 years old 😀

My wisdom to offer is, go with the flow as the decades change. Have a solid relationship with the One true God, a tribunal God who bestows beauty. Don't be critical of other women...I say this to myself. Each passing decade comes faster and faster with so much change. The difference from 50 to 60 was huge in my body. Energy issues. Self-esteem issues where I used to be confident. Trust God first, seek Him..you will radiate! Trust your gut, too.

Well I would love to be 25 again, in such great health, it was a wonderful time and this miracle would mean I could spend more years with my loved ones who are no longer here. This said, I totally agree with you, with your outlook on life, your views and your brilliant, enthusiastic, empowering message to all women. (I think a lot of it applies to women under 40 as well: "be who you want and do what makes you happy" :) ) It is so positive and inspiring, including the part about solidarity between women.Thank you!

You can definitely rewrite your story, at any age. I am now 50, left a seriously abusive relationship at 40.
In the intervening 10 years, my 4 children got diagnosed with mental health issues, I went back to college to train as a massage therapist, emigrated and married a really nice (much younger) guy. And emigrated.
Life can change and you are more capable than you know 😉
