When I began going grey, I made an appointment with a personal stylist at a major department store to help me transition my wardrobe, advising me on any needed color changes, etc. She told me never to wear grey. Then various UA-camrs advised that older women should avoid black. Noooooo . . . Those colors have always been the foundation of my wardrobe; I love them and they suit my style and personality! I have ignored both of those misguided pieces of advice. Thank you for showing how we can continue to rock grey, silver, and black with grey hair. You look stunning! 😍

Dear Nikol, I need to make a copy of this video and show it to my 2, adult, children! They are constantly telling me I can't do this or that because I'm old (77). When they tell me I'm crazy, my answer is "that's the only way to fly!" to which they just shake their heads. On a more serious note; I love your videos and have learned so much including the fact that I've been putting my eyeshadow and liner on wrong for best results. Recently saw a video where one of your ladies bought a new wig and that helped convince me to buy one. I've been sitting on the fence too long on this decision. On another video, I learned your favourite music is classical, me too. Love all the masters, but especially Vivaldi. My daughter and best friend both play flute and piccolo and I played e flat alto horn (brass), French horn and all other brass instruments except for the slide trombone (arms are too short) and dabble with piano. I so enjoy your videos. I’ve gotten a lot of tips by watching and trying different things. I’ve always been a makeup girl and also believe starting with a great pallet. I put makeup on every day and feel better when I do. But I can’t get accustomed to doing my eyes first. Lol. I see the logic to do it this way though. As far as eyeliner goes I wear contacts so applying liner to the underneath of my lashes aggravates my eyes so I’m stuck to the upper lash. But I have been paying more attention to how thick my line is and I like the thinner line much better. I’m also 72 but continue to play with my makeup. Thanks for all the great tips!
I so agree with your comment about how older viewers need to not always follow the advice of some millennial influencer trying to tell us how to do our makeup! I am 75 and I love all of your techniques and advice! As far as the under eye concealer goes, I use the product from Trish McEvoy, who's in her sixties, and has been using that triangle technique for many years. I do have a question about concealer. My under eye concealer is lighter than my foundation. I've tried putting on a little extra foundation on those spots, but even though I use a nice luminous foundation which is not heavy, I didn't want it to look too thick. Do you think I should have a second concealer for my face or is there another option? I don't have that much to cover except a little redness around the nose and my chin.

Since the virus hit and I missed many weeks of getting my hair highlights/lowlights done my grow out was enough I could really see how my hair would look if I quit doing this. It is all grown out and it is white with a few streaks of dark and I have a bob. I get many compliments on my hair and I am glad I am not spending time & money getting it colored. I must say I can tell a Hugh difference in what color bronzer or blush I use since that is the only color I have. I do use fake tan and I like it because it gives me color. I always use SPF so the only way I will be tan is if it comes out of a can or bottle. I apply my makeup everyday. You just never know what the day May bring and it makes me feel good. Thanks 😊

When using Retinol you need to be careful of over exfoliating. I would wait until you finish your retinol product before starting on another product that exfoliates the skin.

I have dry skin and use a retinol product. Wouldn’t the Ever Skin Care pads be too drying for my skin?
When using Retinol you need to be careful of over exfoliating. I would wait until you finish your retinol product before starting on another product that exfoliates the skin.

Why? You are putting on a powder eyeshadow why would you need a powder first?
