"You can go ahead and duck walk and look foolish if you want to that's fine" lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣
A couple months a few minutes each day and now I really feel like I can’t drop my bike if I try. 10% Jerry and 90% practice and you can’t go wrong 😎 thanks mate.
Beautiful comment THANK YOU!!!
This guy handles his 900lb motorcycle better than I walk. I fall over in Walmart.
me too
I don’t think that’s 900 lb that bike it’s probably 650 I can tell cause of the engine block .. the one I got is a 2000 Yamaha royal star venture now that is 875 .. I think it’s the heaviest bike
@dat ain't mine yea I have to see that video cause I wanna learn more … put the link here if you have it ..
@@biglyon123 877 is the listed weight.
@@docknightphilco4550 we love that noise.
Jerry Palladino, I absolutely love how you explain the details of learning how to ride a motorcycle and bringing your wife into it helps as well. I have told so many women to go watch your videos and buy your videos so they can feel comfortable on a motorcycle. You taught me how to do a u-turn and I'm almost better riding a motorcycle than my husband because of you. I'm really good with the friction Zone, but by you saying look where you want to go and turn your head there actually saved my life from not hitting the front of a semi. I'm actually giggling to myself when I see duck walkers. I'll be 64 in July 2021 and I'm more afraid of other drivers now than ever before, but there's nothing better than riding a motorcycle sometimes.
love that there is this kind of instruction out there! It makes riding so much more fun and it becomes almost a zen activity when you constantly challenge yourself.
I'm a pretty avid rider and I will say that I still go back to watch these kinds of videos. You can always re-learn something, or learn something new. Never get complacent when you ride a bike. You don't have the opportunities to make the same life saving moves as you do in a car. Its always smart to go back and re-watch even the most basic stuff like this. Who knows, it could save your life.
Ok, I have to admit, that turn at the end was really well done. Those monster bikes have always been way too much for me to even want to try that. Good tips. Safe riding people.
Now that's impressive. No kidding, to be able to swing a bike as big as that like a bicycle impresses the hell out of me.
Watching the Motorman duck walk is just plain weird. 😄
VERY impressive! Love watching you control that big big bike!
I've became alot better rider just from watching your video's and going out and practicing your techniques , thank you so much . I have learned so much but always room for improvement and I'll just keep practicing. Thank you again.
Great lesson, as always, thank you.... also for your service. I recently got back in the game. Bikes are different now... gotta love technology Having motorcycle cops share their training.... makes everyone safer. I lift my hat to you brother. YOU GUYS ARE AN ELITE CLUB !!
Love this guy and his channel , extremely educational and helpful for even the experienced riders ...
Trailing with the rearbrakes allows one to do so many maneuvers and turns along with proper shoulder, head placement and looking where one wants to go, and of course the confidence of being able to ride any size bike.
I purchased all his DVD's. 3 tips so far saved me from a crash! All is courses needs to be a mandatory class throughout the country. Best money I ever spent. Best techniques and evasive maneuvers ever.
Your videos are excellent and you deliver and demonstrate your tip(s) with efficacy. The value of content is 10/10 and by subscribing, it encourages one to practice and build one's skillset and ride with even greater confidence . Thanks from this viewer for all you do to make us better riders; I look forward to taking your course. 😎👍
You always make it look easy Jerry! Hopefully we can learn to ride have as good.
I've been watching a lot of these police videos, and I have to say that they know how to ride a LOT better than I ever realized. I started watching more now that I have a really big bike, and I want to be as good a rider as possible. I'm not a new rider, but the machine I just got is my biggest yet. Really, these officers are very skilled and confident, and I appreciate the videos.
Awesome video series. I am returning to riding on a road glide ultra, and it handles much different than my road king did. However, the techniques you teach work with any bike! I am definitely planning taking one of your road courses. Thanks Jerry!
Thank you sir for all you do!👍
Keep em coming. Learning to break bad habits
I can learn a lot from you. You're serious about riding correctly. Thank you so much.
I’ve been doing full lock u turns from stop for years thanks to Jerry! Practicing lots of ninety degree pull outs first helped me to get the u turns. I also made myself do push-ups in the parking lot every time my brain forced my hands to straighten the bars. I’m sure that looked interesting to passerbys. Thank you Jerry and RLAP Team!
When I grew up (technically) I want to Ride Like a Pro. 2 thumbs up
I like his videos. Very informative.
Yesterday I stopped at a stop sign and my foot planted in loose gravel....needless to say I almost bit it.
Anything larger than my shadow 600 would have certainly took me over....I had to give all I had to keep from tipping over.
Thanks for your instructions! Ive learned so much about riding watching your videos. Keep up the great work ! Dave
Its the little things we recall when on our bikes that make us better,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and safer. Thanks Motor Man.
Here in the desert riding season is all but over. We have already been to 107 in the shade so i think its time to get some videos, a cold drink, and study. Thank you for your videos to teach us to be safer more competant riders.
Like walking on roller skates. Very sound advice. It's dynamically correct. Very nice sir.
I have performed the U-turn in two methods you have taught before. Depending on where I am in that left turn lane, if I am first to go, I use the method you showed in this video, and if I am a car or two back, I use the dip before going into the turn. I find both to be very helpful while riding.
I'm eagerly waiting for my DVD training package so I can learn that trick! Thanks Jerry!
He makes it look so easy. Great job
Love you I never knew how much I didn't know till I watched you have rode for 25+ years and know nothing thank you be safe hope to see you and take your class soon
This is a great tip, I'm going to practice this on my Honda 90.
I’ve been riding big bikes for about 14 yrs, I started with a local school (Highly Recommend!) and then a 1000 of Jerry’s videos and books, I practiced alot and still feel I need to work on these damn U turns from a stop because my bike is just under 1000lbs and I definitely don’t wanna drop it, ya know? So I will continue working on it, thanks Jerry, you make it look so easy my friend!
Wow! I can’t wait to try that next time I go riding. Thanks for the great info.
Mad skills!
Good stuff,
Thanks Jerry.
Great information for me... I upgraded from a small Honda shadow 750, to a Gl1500 Goldwing... getting used to the larger bike is taking a minute. I will find a parking lot and practice... good thing the schools are closed.. lots of good locations near me.
Always good tips!
Great lesson.... Going to practice this weekend....
I really learn a lot from you videos, thanks
That was soooooo cool!!!!! I have to learn to do that. I've been riding 20 plus years and have never tried.
Stayed between both parking stalls on that full lock u turn 👍. I feel like I'm learning and don't even have a bike yet. Your channel is great!
Learned at young age that while on motorcycle or bicycle
You are now........
Invisible!
Also, i feel for that demo bikes clutch
Cheers
Damn Motor Man! You make it look so easy lol! I love your videos!
Hi sir I have been riding bikes for years and I thought I was a good rider until I started following you was I ever wrong. I am a better rider now thanks to you. Love your videos head and eyes work and when you do it it feels great lol.
Brilliant demonstration, thanks Motorman!
You're welcome.
Impressive turn.
That is an excellent technique that why you are the professional.
Great video!!!
I get to do that every day at work. Motor Trooper.
very useful tips man!!! thank you.
Love this channel
Love it man. Revisiting this video because I'm having a difficult time making the uturns in a parking lot when I'm practicing these last couple days. Last year I was able to do it in 18 feet or two parking spots, now its like I'm rusty since having been off the bike from winter
@@motoryzen wow you've come a long way then with recovery, hope you're doing even better now. Yeah practice makes perfect and just do a few minutes of practice before each ride and you'll stay fresh. I've gotta get back on my fitness because my body strength overall is really low since I'm not making time for general exercise, hope to be stronger every day. ✌🙏
I’m still working on full lock from a stop. Thanks for the great videos. I’m located in Martinsville VA and look forward to taking a class from your NC partner.
You inspire to get out and do my low speed turn practice
@2.55
Awesome!
Good rider. Good video.
Dude is awesome. Thanks for the videos.
Glad you like them!
Simply amazing!!!
Wow, the camera quality is really good and sharp.
Dragging the rear brake makes a huge difference as well!
Absolutely!
Good stuff!
Bad ass bike!
Hi Jerry, and there was a man on telling that if you have a real heavy bike you just lean forward on it and when you pop back up it goes back. Well he must've not really had a real heavy bike because a real heavy bike doesn't necessarily back up when you push down on the front.awm
I've only taken the BRC-1 course but I feel like I learned something just by watching this video. I'm pretty confident in my skills but I don't think I've ever U-turned my Fat Boy THAT sharp! lol. Something I'm sure I would learn in the BRC-2 course (which also gets you an extra discount on your insurance). I might have to purchase those items. Definitely liked and subscribed!
nice! i'm gonna try that.
Man he makes it look so easy
Love to hear why over 400 naysaying people thumbs down this advice. The demonstration is spot on. The technique absolutely works and the confidence gained from the practice is why it works time and again. Practice is paramount, otherwise it’s a perishable skill set.
Glad it was helpful!
plan to but a GW. when i do ill be practicing this till im a pro at it.
Very cool didn't know there was a electra glide Nice
This exercise will also help new riders learning to take a turn at a stop sign from a stopped position.
You are good❗️
Keep safe and well good luck
U make it look easy
For this kind of turn, looking ahead where you're going is key. This tight of a turn, beginners tend to look down on the front wheel which is the main cause of falling down.
The KEY is looking where you want to go and not at the bike. I used to play around with bmx riding and I could never do a 360° until I learned to turn my head just before hopping and eveything else just turns....
hahahahaha!!!! I've seen three of your videos, "If you want to look like a jerk" and "if you're a doofus," and "if you want to look foolish." LOL! Funny! However, thank you for your videos... they are really helping me a lot. Additionally, always look where you're going, NOT what you're doing. The body follows the eyes. ;-)
Love this one, got alot of info, thanks so much.
Glad it was helpful!
these are probably one of the hardest things to do so I feel like if you can do this you can do anything
Awsome video, thank you for sharing.
Here's one with better sound ua-cam.com/video/36q97-FJ830/v-deo.html
Good job !! 👍
Awesome
Thanks
Nice job 👍
This is the 2nd of your videos I’ve seen. Just subscribed!
Welcome aboard!
I seen a motorcop turn like that, it cost 💰 me a day in court..
You may HAVE seen a motorcop. It's likely you SAW a motorcop. But, trust me when I say - you did not SEEN anything.
@@bradhollis1005 Dude he have saw what he seen, it really do be like that sometimes.
You not only show THAT it can be done, you show HOW it is done properly.
At 3:04 "If you're saying to yourself, I should never have to do this." Actually yes you do! In order to pass an endorsement skills test (at least in Missouri) you have to be able to turn the motorcycle with the handlebars at full lock, and execute a sharp left and right turn. If your foot touches the ground OR the tire hits any of the boundary lines, "Thou shalt fail the skills test." Thank you for the video motorman.
Yeah, MOs rough on new riders. 😆
I love the video BIG HELP THANK YOU
Glad it helped
Thanks for the video and info, appreciated!
Bought two of his videos years ago. Great instruction and great value! Highly Recommend! Best Regards Jerry!!!
great tip
You are by far the best instructor I have ever seen. Where can I enroll in one of your courses...
A pro!
Very good tutorial👍
Thank you 👍
I just ordered his vid today. Can’t wait till in it arrives.
Now unfortunately, some riders who are offended by this Man’s bluntness, will become car ornaments or even organ donors because they will miss his message. Me and ol Jerry are on the opposite side of “things” in life, but learning and becoming a better rider is more important.
Ride Safe!!
I use the cheap orange disk cones I buy from Walmart in the sporting goods section. Others have complained about them but I’ve never had a problem with them. Enjoy the journey!
How many times have you crashed or laid down a bike so much confidence on what the bike is capable of
I'm going to buy the video. I honestly still have to duck walk a bit from a stop to u-turn. Time to go pro, bro
me too
Please let me know when you come through Jasper, FL I would love to spend a day riding with you and pick up a bunch of new things. I have a 97 Honda Shadow 1100 getting used to it. Was just last week working on my hard stop from 55mph. Getting to know how the bike is going to handle if I had to come to a emergency stop.
I wish I was as smooth of a rider as you are 😅
