Yeah I have the cartridge on the 64, how on Earth is that going to help me with a PC port of the game? I don't understand this comment at all-- can anyone clarify what that's supposed to mean?

I followed all the instructions and my emulator speed is incredibly inconsistent, I have a good computer and other emulators run Nintendo 64 games just fine but here, the speed constantly fluctuates between way too fast and freezing for a few frames. Any idea why this is happening?

the old characters are the same, but they also let you choose between different builds of them from different versions of the game [like Japanese version, europeon version]
I have my GameCube controller plugged in using the Wii U GC controller adapter but it's not registering inputs at all when I try to configure controller plugin. However, it does work with Dolphin Emulator. I wonder what I have to do to get this to recognize it as well?
When the emulator loads, close the netplay window (this will allow you to select 'settings' at the top when the game loads) Load smash remix, then go into the emulator settings menu, you'll see a 'rom settings' tab make sure you have 'use the 4mb expansion pack' option selected and then reboot the rom and it should work.

Anybody having audio issues like crackling? Gameplay is fine, I cant seem to find a fix unless the emulator gets an update. Turned buffer size all the way down and for settings audio only has 1 option. 😕

Make sure your graphics plug in is set to the right one. Options > Settings > Graphics > GlideN64 Public Release 4.0 If it's already set to this, then try the 2.0 or 3.0 versions. Hope this helps.

Are you sure setting the key bindings for controllers should work for this?
Do you have to do that step where you want to play online every time you turn on your laptop or is that saved ?

iirc you can also change colors by pressing A while the pointer is on the character you choose, on the bottom of the screen

Try a different controller plugin or uninstall the driver for your controller and reinstall
The file say smash remix 9.5 but when i launch it is vanilla smash 64
