Getting Burnley into Europe is actually an insane achievement
I remember the game that knocked them out as well. It was one of the qualifiers and they should have won by miles. Created so so many chances but just couldn't finish them. Could've got them through to the group stages which is even more insane.
They’ll do it again in 7 years. So it is written
I will forever hold this man in the highest regard. He took us from the championship to the premier league in a period where we were shaky after our last promotion and relegation, then promoted us again after another relegation, then went on a streak taking us to Europe, producing some of the best English Goalkeepers in the premier league (One of which being Nick Pope who produced the second most amount of clean sheets in the 19-20 season) as well as a crop of quality players that are still playing premier league football, one of which being a Spanish champion, a serious European competitor and a regular England star, and did it all on a shoestring budget.
Forever a legend of the club.
Edit: The Spanish Champion is Kieran Trippier.
Who’s the player that’s w Spanish champions CBA working it out
I’d love Sean at rangers.
@@Murtydaking Kieran Trippier

@@paulpurves484 I think he'd do great at rangers but I've got a lot of mates on both sides on the old firm and you lot love a moan. Don't want yous ruining Dyche for me
Grew up a burnley fan in the US. My youth coach from Burnley convinced me to be a supporter when I was 10. Burnley hired Dyche in my first couple of years supporting Burnley so he was basically all I’ve ever known. I’m so grateful for what he has done for the club and the great years he gave us with 2 promotions and a place in Europe. I often get laughed at for supporting burnley, but a manager like dyche makes it very easy to be proud of your club.
I agree but dyche should of been sacked but not for getting relegated
I think Burnley needed a new fresh side
@@Cristian12883 I do agree that a change of scenery was probably for the best. Big Vinny has done an amazing job since he’s been hired and it is nice to see possession based attacking football.
Spread the word.
Let them laugh at ya pal, you'd be more than welcome among us at Turf Moor

I’m a Newcastle fan and I think most fans in England have the utmost respect for Sean . Top man and great manager

Nope. Boring negative football. Glad he's out of the Prem
@Cian MacGana And that is why he got sacked 🤣 🤡
@Cian MacGana True.
Dyche is a breath of fresh air. Never seen Simon smile and nod so much 🎉
He definitely appeared to have respect for Sean. Kind of goes against the notion that he hates every football manager.

The bar is low for England. Budget does not stop you from playing attractive style of football. He only knows how to play one way.

Crystal Palace fan, they were notorious for employing British managers, funnily enough Dyche was their first choice but he wanted to stay at Burnley. People forget that Vieira was like their 5th choice but they had to get someone in before the season started
What an honest upfront guy Sean is! The premier league miss him. Wishing him all the very best.

No one misses his fossil football.
Goosebumps listening to this man. Absolutely spot on. Unfortunately, nowadays we look at the flash and glitter rather than substance.

sean dyche is awesome. love to see him and simon in the studio, hopefully there's more videos to come.
Great manager for us at Burnley. The years he was there we competed against teams who are the best in the world. Burnley is tiny in comparison. Will always have thanks for him- however by the end few seasons the football wasn’t great, the results worsened and the age of the squad grew… since Kompany has come in it’s been so so fresh it’s hard to put into words. It’s like a brand new club with big new ideas. The fans are back roaring, the squad has youth and a desire the football is superb. I really thing Burnley will bounce back up and shock the prem with just how much has changed.
They won’t
@@smallarmskepa4390 they will.
He looks five years younger. Goes to show what stress and pressure can do, and the benefits of a break.
Kompany is doing great for us, and it definitely feels like we'll be back up next season, but it just doesn't feel the same without Dyche. Also, although I've always respected Simon and his views, I respect him even more now that I see how he views Sean and Burnley.
The concern with Vincent kompany is could Burnley survive in the premier League playing like they are now? That is a worry for another time though, I'm well aware that we need to get up there first.
No
@@chriswilkinson7636 if Bournemouth are in the battle to stay in the league, then this Burnley side can with a newer younger group of players
@@timjim875 this. When burnley is in the prem next season. The prem will show what kompany is worth.
It would be great to hear Sean on the airwaves again. He is one of the most articulated football person I have heard in media. Souness, Carra, Sinclair, Gabby, Shearer, Scholes Merson and morrison could learn a thing or two Sean on how to work in the media.
I think Souness, Carra, Shearer and Scholes already know perfectly well how to work in the media and they've done a lot more of it than Sean Dyche has. The others you mentioned are just crap pundits.
My god
I have never seen Simon Jordon look so pleased. To be honest Sean Dyche sounds like a honest guy. Great interview guys.
He’s such a genuine guy. I imagine his players would die for him on the pitch. He definitely deserves a prem role. (QPR fan)

Utter respect to Sean. No bitterness. He comes across brilliantly in this snippet.
What a brilliant guest. Best clip I’ve seen in ages. Honest forthright and deserves a good job. More of this 👍👍👍👍👍
He will always be loved in our town.
I've watched the Clarets for 65 years and used to boast to my 3 lads that they would never see Burnley (as i did) in the top division.Sean proved me wrong. He was fabulous for the town.He came when then kids in Burnley were wearing Man U and Liverpool tops and in no time they were wearing Claret and Blue.

Clever from Dyche name dropping Spurs in this interview. Could have chosen any club for his example but he name drops Spurs who are currently struggling with Conte who might still go so potential vacancy. Very well spoken and defo not the last the prems seen of Dyche. 👏
You think Daniel Levy is going to hand the keys to a billion pound club to Sean Dyche??!!?? Behave. Spurs fans aren’t happy with Conte’s style, they’d be suicidal with Dyche as a manager.

Id fully agree with that he is perfert for rangers
Totally agree
Good call think a good fit ..
He couldn't sort out that mess 🤣 and u couldn't afford him
Proven manager in the PL on a tight budget. However the fact Nathan jones, lampard and gerrard are being given a chance makes me think Sean Dyche’s next move will be in the championship.
Don't put Lampard in that group. He is quality. People just have selective memeory when it comes to him and they completrly ignore all the things he's done well. I would take him back at Chelsea in a heartbeat. Certainly over Dyche too, with all due respect to him.
I think if he's patient he will get another chance. There are a number of clubs who would consider him mid season as a manager to try and secure premier League safety. The likes of Sam Allerdyce are retired and Dyche could do a job for some clubs. I can't think of a single team in the premier League that has an inferior playing staff or budget than Burnley. He would back himself to do a job.
@@stupendous7848 what you on ? 🤣🤣

This is one of the most insightful (and compelling) exchanges I have ever listened to on TalkSport.
Considering he hasn't gone to Southampton, Bournemouth, etc it tells me that after the world cup he'll probably be next in line to take the England job
You really believe that?
As a Burnley fan I don't think he'll get the England job as much as I'd love him to

This was TalkSport interviewing Sean. He should go to Luton.
If I were Rangers this is who I would be seriously considering going for as their next manager and I'm a Celtic fan.
There's a big difference in pressure between managing a team that is trying to stay in the league, and a team that has to win every week. Whether he can handle the latter pressure, is anyone's guess.
@@PeteBigChief every manager appointment or player signing is not a guarantee of success.
How much could it have gone wrong? He was there like 9 years. Longer than a lot of marriages.
I sometimes joke about Sean Dyche's Burnley side, but I've always had a huge amount of respect for him as a manager and for what he achieved throughout his journey there. He definitely deserves to manage a club in the prem. Personally, it sounds like he 1) is keeping tabs on what's currently going on the prem (he said he wasn't really) and 2) wants the Tottenham job when they sack Conte, who Dyche seemingly took a bit of an indirect jab at in his response to Simon's question about the perception of him as a manager based on his style of play at Burnley. That's the only acceptable explanation for why anyone would "spontaneously" use Tottenham as an example of a club that has more technical and skillful players to work with than a club like Burnley. It's of course true, but in every day football talk its unusual for people to choose spurs (over other top 6 clubs) to make comparisons like that. I think he wants the spurs job personally. would be interested to know how spurs fans would feel about that
No he doesn’t, he was just making a stylistic argument because Conte also plays pragmatic football
Spurs will never even think of Dyche as a managerial candidate. Hell, he can't even get ahead of the ex Luton manager LOL
very clever honest manager that could hold his own at any pl club hope he's back soon
I have huge respect for Dyche. He worked miracles just to keep Burnley in the PL multiple times on a shoe string budget. He got criticized for old school tactics and playing dirty but he's actually quite tactically astute and they could play too. I'd love to see how he gets on at a higher elk club with some decent money to spend.
Perhaps falling out with owners can harm your career but we need this man back in PL.... everyone’s favourite underdog manager ✊

I don't like the things he's had to say about my club (Chelsea), but he is genuine and down to earth, and you have to appreciate that.
Best of luck at Everton Sean, we need sortin out asap
The people who think he’s burnley level and no higher clearly think they know a lot when in reality they clearly don’t know much other than the popular takes. There is nothing to say dyche couldn’t play in a different way in a different team and budget. He could hardly play differently with what he had at Burnley. What did you expect him to do, turn Burnley into the current Arsenal?
Shame not all managers are this open and honest about there time at there clubs
