- Should you visit Disney World or Disneyland for a first time visit to a Disney park? Disney World has a lot more theme parks and attractions, but Disneyland is smaller and less overwhelming for a first time Disney vacation!

For me it’s based on location since WDW is the closest park but both have aspects that make it hard to decide, Epcot is my favorite park but the cars land in California Adventures is phenomenal and blew my mind when I first got to see it in person.
Yes I totally know what you mean! Cars land is great but Disney World has a lot of fun parks too! Its hard to decide!
Disneyland was my first park at age 18. I'm 70 now and prefer WDW now.

Disneyland!! Well I’m being biased as I’ve never been to Disney World! But also even at our worst, nothing beats California weather! Any day would be a great day to go to Disneyland!! ❤

We took my niece to DL first and it was just one park! Much easier when they are young, she was 3. Plus it was 3 of our’s first time, my brother first time remembering it. I went to WDW at 4 and remember it! My niece has more memories of WDW than of DL of course

Well I never visit Disney Land I have gotten to Disney World and I loved every minute of it, I just want to hurry and go back !!! And yes it is a big land is four parks and two water parks and a bonus if you add Downtown Disney. But that’s why you have to book for more than a couple of days (that’s why is call world). But every one is different and it depends on what time you have to give

@@MeganMoves Big Thunder Mountain is in a little island! Space Mountain is better with 2 inversions and Nemo is so fun!
With our daughter, we did WDW first since the queues for the many of the rides are much more entertaining in MK. We went to DL later when she was out of the stroller and she could ride every ride and park hop to DCA back and forth. Now that WDW has the Skyliner, we have returned and we now can park hop to 2 or 3 parks a day if desired and we can enjoy all the rides, but again now that she is older.
As someone who has never been able to go to any Disney in its life, knowing the Disneys that are spread all over the planet, I would be torn between the convenience of the one closest to my home (which in my case is the one in Paris), but also enjoying the most complete one (the one in Orlando) although I would have to cross the “pond” (the Atlantic Ocean). 😕

Yes! we loved Disneyland!
Disney world is chaos and there is so much to do in that park even if u get 1 park per day tickets you know to dedicate one day each, there is no way you will see everything. Disneyland, love Disneyland, we did 1 park per day and seen so much, didn’t ride everything but definitely was able to ride more rides and see more things. It was a relaxing trip, we went 2022 Halloween day (my bday) and Nov 4th we got to see the transition from Halloween to Christmas which was really great. Disney world the last time I went was spring pre Covid sheesh 2016 and I preferred it temp and vibe wise in comparison to early August which is what I did mostly with my family in early 2000s.
yes disneyland is great and manageable for a trip!!
They've only had more attractions for about a year or so but for the vast majority of time Disneyland resort actually had more but I would say there is more to see at Disney World for sure

Universal is a great park!!👏👏
It depends on where you live, how long you can go & if you can research WDW before going. My preference is Disneyland. It is smaller, takes less time & you mostly just need to learn the app & Genie. If you have lots of money, time & are near Walt Disney World, AllEars or DFB Guide on UA-cam & other platforms give great WDW & other Disney parks, cruises & company news & info. WDW Prep for podcasts is great too. You can listen while you do chores, exercise or watch together with your family/friends/coworkers/whoever & plan.

@@MeganMoves, I butchered WDW Prep when I wrote this. So I corrected. I have gotten to DFB Guide while I do chores & when I go on a walk for an hour. I listen to AllEars shorts too. I try to get my husband to watch AJ Wolfe at Disney Food Blog’s latest news video that releases on Saturdays. Just so we can keep up on what’s going on in Walt Disney World & Disney in general. By request from viewers, they are making videos about Universal Orlando now too.
To be honest, been to WDW 2 or 3 times as a youngster... Never been to Cali. But, I can definitively say that the BEST versions of almost all rides, MOST ESPECIALLY the classic attractions like Pirates is VASTLY better at Disneyland. Not to mention it has CARSland! I mean come on! Fun on every level unlike WDW, where... you get the worst versions, longer lines, and WAY more spread out due to the unlimited space they have so to speak. I'd say go to DL in Cali. first. WDW does have more attractions overall, but the E-ticket attractions (the bigger ones) are just not as good. They don't have to put as much theming in to attract people ;)

Disney land I am currently sitting in Hollywood studios Florida it’s my fourth day I just finally finished the last park and I have to say I will only be visiting Disney land if there are future trips the parks are great less lines but more parks mean less rides in the parks unfortunately.

If your choices are: spend a week leisurely soaking in the Disneyland Resort with probably time and money left to visit other parts of the nearby area VS spend a week trying to get the most out one park a day while maybe having time to go back to one park again, I would definitely pick the first one.
