Absolutely incredible work. More artists then body shop mechanic. The attention to detail is simply stunning. Thank you for giving these ultimate driving machines a new lease on life.
Excellent workmanship and repair , many people don't understand the planning and effort involved in making such an almost invisible repair. They also don't understand why it's very difficult but not impossible to fabricate an inner wheel arch repair...it's also depends on the customer's wishes and wallet... I've been at this game since the 1970s I always try my best to not only please the customer but also to retain my integrity.. Again I say well done ....😀😀😀😀
Nice work, not sure about lack of return edge on inner arch but looks fantastic. Got both arches to do on my 330d so nice to see others plan of attack. Done both sills so far and that took 2 1/2 weekends to do properly but looks factory. How many days work did you take for this video?
Excellent work there! however I think you could have gotten away with drilling the spot welds inside the lip of the arch and just cutting the inner skin out and a much smaller section of the outer arch panel, possibly only a section of the lip. That’s what I’m currently doing with my e46 m3 coupe.
I've done it on my Opel Ascona. No previous experience, just got the tools and a bunch of scrap metal to get the feel for it :) It is a good idea to have a welder friend over to explain about the wire speed, gas, etc. so you don't make any critical mistakes, but it's not that hard, you just need to be patient and steady. PS Still no rust on that Ascona after 10+ years - but I don't drive it on salty roads either :)
Yeah, get all that rust fixed so the owner can start replacing all of the expensive, crummy, fragile plastic items under the hood, the cooling system, the VANOS, window regulators, and all of the other German planned obsolescence repairs which make these cars depreciate like fake currency.

Hello, could you please add some more info about what kind of anti-corrosive colors did you use for long lasting and what sealer did you use?
What product do you use for rust conversion?
Thanks for making this video, much appreciated my e46 needs the same treatment

Looks good. Where do you get the material for the fender? Cut off from a scrapped car?

Infuriating you can’t get a arch repair panel for the e46 M3
Its not even that rusted, my e46 trunk sunk down , factory welds came apart idk how
Great job but the welding is killing me 😩
