It's just the mythos around November 1st that makes people think October 31st has spiritual significance.
November 1st was All Saints Day, a celebration of Christian saints when it was believed the saints would leave heaven and visit the earth in spiritual form.
Thus All Hallows Eve (Halloween) naturally is born, and it was thought that demons would try to capture people and prevent the goodness of All Saints Day from happening, so you could ward off evil spirits with offerings, and if you wore different clothing the demons wouldn't recognize you and wouldn't attack, very much in line with a bride having bridesmaids (since there's multiple women in a veil and white the demon wouldn't know who to torment or take before she was wed.
October 31st holds no spiritual significance. Satan and demons are just as powerful that day as every other day.

Anakin is Adam, who is tempted by Palpatine (Satan) and suffers a kind of death as a result. Later his own son (Luke) gives him a chance of redemption through his selfless actions. 80's and 90's scifi employed a lot of christian allegory. Current movies are just lectures from purple haired feminist.

We should be humble and imitate Jesus. Jesus also wants us to seek him.
When down and out and weak and weary you tend to turn to God. Believing and trusting in Jesus is true humility. Paul had a thorn in his side to keep him humble.
As a disciple a major weakness for him was being boastful.
I can do anything through Christ who gives me strength and Gods strength is made perfect in weakness. Those are ways to live. When Jesus says he conquered the world its perhaps my favorite thing ever. The Devil thought he was equal to his creator. One interesting theory is that Satan was jealous that God created man.
So when we are humble that's when we are strong because we trust in the power of Jesus.
And when we feel defeated in life we turn to God. He lifts us up especially in times of pain and suffering. Praising and worshipping God can be liberating. The lack of humility you describe in the video is a little different than the lack of humility which will lead us astray.
God wants no one to perish. Hell was created for the Devil and the fallen angels and
believing in Christ is the path to salvation
So no human thinks they are as great as Jesus like the Devil did
Yet we can be arrogant and boastful in many other ways however as long as we remain humble in knowing we are trusting in Jesus then we are strong.

How is the following Bible verses reconciled with the New Testament and the Christian church when it is written that one of God's holy spirits (verses 21 & 22) puts lies in the mouth of certain prophets? Could this also have happened to the writers of the New Testament?
      1 Kings 22:19-23
19 And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left.
20 And the Lord said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.
21 And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will persuade him.
22 And the Lord said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.
23 Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee.

@@mariobethell3731 Unfortunately, you’ve only replied to my comment, and not posted a general comment on the video, so you may not get many answers besides me since your question won’t be seen as easily. Only mentioning that because your question seems like one for everyone, not related just to my comment. But I’ll offer what answer I can, though I can’t claim to be an expert on Kings, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve studied it.
First a little housekeeping. God is sovereign and omnipresent. We see in cases like Job that even in conditions of pain and loss, adversaries like Satan cannot act outside of God’s ordination, and we even see a similar scene where a deceptive spirit (in Job’s case,Satan) is allowed to speak to God and be in his presence. The spirit mentioned in Micaiah’s vision in Kings is never called ‘holy’, so we should also be careful not to give that title to it, lest we establish an equality to God’s character that the text hasn’t made. Additionally, Michaiah is describing a prophetic vision, and any time we’re dealing with prophecy like this, we should be careful not to get too caught up in the weeds of its literal description, prophecy’s main goal is often to make a truth clear, not necessarily narrate a physical literal event(for example, God already knows everything, audible conversation is unnecessary for His account, so conversations depicted like the one shown are there for US as readers and hearers). I don’t want to say something like “it’s all metaphor, no worries”, but just want that to be a caution given any time we dive into accounts of prophetic vision
Now, let’s look at some of the context. Kings as a whole is penned during the time of Israel’s exile, in many ways as an answer to the national question of “Why would God let this exile happen to his people”, and it goes through king after king, comparing them spiritually to king David and with painfully few exceptions, they all fail and lead Israel further away from YHWH and closer to the worship of false idols and foreign gods. Ahab was among the most garbage of those kings. He was constantly chasing idols and surrounded himself with prophets who were not true to the Lord, but either mixed up in his synchronization of foreign dieties, or just told him what he wanted to hear, with no actual appeal to God himself, except what might be made for appearance only so they could claim ‘God was with them’. Ahab CONSTANTLY found himself at odds with true prophets who followed YHWH, like Elijah and Micaiah. In order to go to war, the king of Judah requested that Ahab seek the Lord’s counsel before joining him in battle. All Ahab’s ‘prophets’ said “You got this, Ahab, God is so dang happy with you”, but Judah’s king follows up by specifically asking if there was a prophet of YHWH in the land. This tells us that Ahab’s cabinet of prophets was not following the same God, in a way that was somehow clear to Judah’s king(who was one of the few ‘good, God-fearing’ kings in the book, fun fact). Then Micaiah shows up as the prophet of the true God, and gives this vision as an explanation as to why all of Ahab’s ‘prophets’ are wrong, while his prophecy of Ahab failing and dying is correct.
So we have true prophets that God is speaking through, and false prophets that are claiming to have divine revelation, when God isn’t actually speaking to them. Verses like Dueteronomy 18:22 tell us that the sign of a true prophet is that what they proclaim comes to pass, while false prophets speak presumptuously and inevitably are incorrect, even if a blind squirrel may find a nut sometimes. Now with God being sovereign, he’s choosing to speak truth through the prophets that honor and follow him, while not extending that privilege to prophets that reject him or seek to build themselves up. So almost poetically, the prophets whose own spirits are characterized by lies, indeed receive deceptive spirits instead of true revelation. Is this because God arbitrarily decides to lie to some people to make his decisions happen? By no means. Those who seek lies find exactly what they were looking for. These were not prophets who were just ‘doing their best’ or ‘doing the wrong things with the right intentions’. They were enemies of God, claiming to speak for him while helping an evil king to lead God’s people deeper into forbidden idol-worship, replacing the God of truth with false pretenses and damnation. In effect, this is like the Tower of Babel account, but instead of confounding their spoke language, he confounds their prophetic visions, because the gods they sought vision from were already lies and cheap knockoffs with no real power to make their prophecies come true. Michaiah’s vision attempts to give some explanation to the strange and complicated spiritual workings that we only see evidence of in our daily life, but there’s still much that is hard for us to unpack. God Himself does not lie. But lies exist, and God is sovereign. Those that seek after lies are often permitted to find them. God warns about this throughout scripture, so when those that rebel against God find lies and deception, God’s actually being true to the word of warning He’s already given.
Contrast this with prophecies coming from those that rightly seek the Lord, and you see a very different pattern, characterized by God being true to HIS word as He has promised to be. Additionally, whereas we see here that a prophet of God comes and rebukes the false prophets, the books within the Bible continually AFFIRM each other, so we see the Holy Spirit inspiring one writer, and then in another place the Holy Spirit inspires another writer to support what was written previously, piling truth upon truth instead of someone later pointing out ways the old prophets were wrong.
I hope this helps a bit.

HOW COULD GOD JESUS FORGIVE **SATAN/LUCIFER AS A DEAD ALMIGHTY GOD SEED OF CREATION; WHEN THE FATHER OF SATAN IS A LIAR; A MURDERER; A COVETEOUS BEING; AND A DEAD ALMIGHTY GOD SEED ALL OPPOSITE THE TEN COMMANDMENTS? YE ALL NEED TO UNDERSTAND SATAN WAS BORN/SOWN INTO THE WORLD OF CREATION AFTER ADAM DECEIVED AND BETRAYED GOD JESUS IN THE BEGINNING; FOR THIS WAS THE SIN OF ADAM TO OBEY SATAN THE CUNNING BEAST SEED AND THE OLD SERPENT SEED OF THE WOMAN THE DEVIL; FOR ADAM AND EVE ARE BOTH ALMIGHTY FLESH OF THE OLD SERPENT SEED OF THE DEVIL/WOMAN; THIS IS WHY EVE DECEIVED ADAM BECAUSE OF THE GENES AND SEED OF THE DEVIL ALMIGHTY FLESH. THE SAME FOR SATAN THAT IS WHY HE CHALLENGED GOD JESUS IN HEAVEN BECAUSE SATAN IS THE ALMIGHTY ***SON OF THE DECEIVER; BLASPHEMER AND BETRAYER THE DRAGON; CUNNING BEAST SEED OF CREATION. THIS IS WHY SATAN WAS A BEAUTY BECAUSE HE IS THE WHITE ALMIGHTY SUPREMACY SEED OF CREATION. WE COULD ALL SEE THE REALITY AND TRUTH OF CREATION IN THE ROMAN EMPIRE 2024 YEARS AGO FATHER OF ADORATION WAS CAESAR NOT GOD THE FATHER OR GOD JESUS. SO LET US FACE THE FACTS GOD JESUS CONQUERED DEATH AND FORGAVE YE ALL WHITE SUPREMACY SATAN MALES/FEMALES; FOR WHAT YE SOW THAT YE SHALL REAP. FOR TAKE A SIMPLE EXAMPLE THE GREAT USA WHITE SUPREMACY ADMINISTRATION KNOWS TO A FACT ***THE COMMANDMENTS SOWN THOU SHALL NOT KILL; BUT STILL SUPPLING ISRAEL WITH ARMS AND WEAPONS; SAME AS THE WHITE SUPREMACIES OF SATAN MALES AND FEMALES IN RUSSIA. That same logic, could also be used with Jesus. When he told Peter he was going to build his church on that rock. And then he said, “get behind me Satan.” Most Protestants use that as a reason why Peter couldn’t be the one who leads the church. He wasn’t worthy. But, it was Satan who put doubt in Peter, and Jesus wasn’t talking to Peter, but to Satan for putting the doubt in him. And thus, the church was built, still, through Peter.

About a decade ago, my pride started getting out of control while doing God's work ON CHURCH GROUNDS! I do not blame God AT ALL for throwing me down like lightning from my position like He did to Satan lol. I've come to realize what an abomination my attitude was and how serious of a sin I was committing in front of God. Although I am in so much misery, I admit that I 100% deserve this punishment. And it's not just punishment, my Heavenly Father is lovingly disciplining me. Amidst my misery, He found me and reached out His compassionate and loving hand towards me. The Holy Spirit came and wiped out everything out of my life that did not belong, addictions, people, etc. and my relationship with Jesus has never been stronger. I am so incredibly grateful to God that He has humbled me and stopped me sooner rather than later, it just proves to me how much He loves me and cares for me. The Holy Spirit has been guiding me and teaching me a lot lately and I'm so incredibly happy about that and so incredibly honored. I am so incredibly unworthy, but God still does everything in His power to not let me perish😢.

@DiscipleDave But the Holy Spirit works through people (Acts 20:28 plus a HOST of other Scriptures)... So what you're saying is just false. Even the written Bible itself is a testament to the Lord using PEOPLE to share the truth. Paul wrote all his letters to teach others, and more than that, even his oral teaching was also the word of God.
The key is being able to discern who is of the Holy Spirit and who is not. You don't just trust no one and go with "what the Holy Spirit says to me in my head", that's how you end up with the disunity of the Protestant branch of Christianity.

The bible is silent about many questions we have. The history of the devil is one of them.
The bible never says Lucifer became Satan. Neither Lucifer nor Satan is a name. Isaiah was written in Hebrew.
I think we should just take the passages as they are and not add extra interpretations to it. The prophets are making taunts on the respective Kings in these passages. And we should glean to see how these description describes them.
Is Rev 12 a past or future event?
In summary, the only way to come to the conclusion of the history of the devil from these passages is purely on church tradition and not a direct and contextual interpretation of the sacred volume.

And why are we pretending Isaiah, Ezekiel and Revelation are all referring to the same person, cause no one name was used for him in all three places??
Also, isn't it funny how the sin of pride was found in a being that God created to be perfect?? Did God intentionally create him with pride and lied about the perfection, or was it an oversight on God's part??

There is no hidden Biblical story. You just understand the Bible incorrectly because you have grown up in a society that teaches incorrectly. The word satan just means "accuser" or "adversary". It has never been used to represent some celestial being (some depict as having red skin with horns and carrying a pitchfork). You just won't find that in the Bible. Remember when Jesus called Peter by the word satan? Does that mean Peter is actually satan the way western civilization sees satan? Of course not. The word lucifer is only found once in the Bible. It is in the book of Isaiah and just means morning star. Read the passage in context and who it was written to. That gives the answer right there. God was talking about the king of babylon and His wishes for the king. Its so simple. No need to make it harder. No need to try to find some hidden thing. It is right there.

I have heard this taught my whole life. It's not that I don't believe that Satan exists, but I find it hard to connect the dots between these scriptures and the being we've come to know as "Lucifer". But this word we have adopted as a name for Satan is a result of multiple iterations of translation from the original text in Hebrew (helel or halal), to Greek, then Latin all of which refer to the planet Venus as the morning star, light-bearer, or dawn-bringer. Pagan leaders have a long history of considering themselves gods and even associating themselves with celestial objects. So how do we make that leap from the Bible explicitly stating that the passage in Isaiah refers to the king of Babylon to taking a single phrase "morning star" and making it a proper name "Lucifer" and assigning it to Satan? I struggle with the connection. It seems that if we applied that same practice to any other part of the Bible, it would be considered heresy. Please understand my heart, I'm not here to be a troll. I sincerely want to know why we accept these things as part of our faith. I think too many Christians, myself included for a very long time, have just accepted what has been taught from one generation to the next without making our own efforts to dig in to the actual source material. I welcome your thoughts on this.

  • @mutsvaiv
    @mutsvaiv 11 місяців тому +8

Unpopular opinion. If you do biblical scholarly work, you'll realise that Lucifer is not his name (it refers to the morning star, Venus. Isaiah in chapter 14 uses the planet Venus as an analogy of the star that shines bright in the morning. The original morning star is Jesus himself).
Satan is not his personable name (he refers to the opposer, Jesus, called Peter "satan"). Same with the devil (the accuser). They are titles. The enemy's name is not revealed in the bible.
The key to understanding this topic is to study the original language or texts in the OT and the NT.
Please do your research. Don't build an expectation to be spoonfed on theological topics. Do your due diligence in everything God-centred. I encourage debate and discussion around this. I'm not dogmatic around this. But the truth needs to be said, with love being the goal.

I commented something similar myself. Even the Angel of the Lord (who is the pre-incarnate Son of God) is said to act as "Satan" in Numbers 22:22, showing that the term "satan" can be used for other entities besides the devil. You need to look into the Hebrew to see this.
However it is also clear in Scripture that the term "Satan" can be what we believers call the devil and refer to him by (and in that way be his name).
Also I looked into the Latin of Revelation 22:16, and whilst Jesus is the "bright morning star", it doesn't say lucifer there. Where it does say lucifer however is in 2 Peter 1:19, where "lucifer" is said to rise in all believers' hearts! Apparently we should all be reading this as Satan rising in our hearts... (smh)
Again very clear that Isaiah 14 isn't about Satan at all, and as you said, it's so important to do your own research in this and actually look at the passages in context.

@@mutsvaiv No it's written in Greek the same as all of the New Testament. But the word "lucifer" is a borrowed word from Latin, it's not Hebrew. So even though that's the word that we see in the KJV and NKJV of Isaiah 14:12, it's not original to the text.
I was only saying that in the Latin copies of Revelation, they don't use the word "lucifer" in Revelation 22:16. But they do use it in 2 Peter 1:19.
Yes I learnt that our Lord Jesus is the Old Testament Angel of the Lord fairly recently myself. It was also a unanimous belief among the early church fathers.

Instead, God wanted a family of angelic and human creatures who would truly love Him and worship Him in spirit and truth. And so for the sake of love, He made His creatures perfectly but with the potential to choose Him or not choose Him freely. And that means the potential to sin.

A similar question would be asking how could Adam sin if he was made perfect? I think the answer to this question and yours would be the same:
Being made perfect doesn't mean that you can't sin. What it means is that there is no sin in you when you are created. However with the ability to love comes the ability to choose. Love isn't really love if I can't choose not to love. Choosing not to love God would be sin, but I would need to make the choice of my own free will in order to truly love Him.
So the ability to choose (free will) is what gives the potential to sin, even though Adam/Satan weren't made with sin in them.

This is exactly right... Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 are examples of God mocking these earthly kings who think of themselves higher than they ought to. There is other evidence of God mocking others in Scripture (Wisdom of God mocks scoffers and people who don't listen in Proverbs 1:26 and Psalm 2:4 are examples)
Lucifer is a Latin word, not original to the text, and lucifer is said to rise in our hearts in the latin translation of 2 Peter 1:19. So the term "lucifer" cannot refer to Satan either.

If Morning star, Daystar, light bearer and Light bringer were replaced by Lucifer which referred to Jesus according to 2 Peter 1:19 (Goggle search "2 Peter 1:19 Latin Vulgate ") why would the use of Lucifer in the same Latin Vulgate in Isaiah 14 be referring to Satan?
It was KJV that made the mistake of Calling the Lucifer in Isaiah 14 Satan when the passage, in fact, has nothing to do with Satan but an earthly King.
Remember that KJV was translated from the Latin Vulgate bible.
Failure to understand Isaiah 14 by the interpreters using the Latin Vulgate made them translate Lucifer to Satan.
Isaiah 14 is about the King of Babylon (an earthly king) but not Satan.

The way this question about Satan got revealed to me was when I was Re-Born, I had a lot of questions, like how was this universe created, where did all of this start? Why are we here? All of these questions I feel like was answered. Here is how it was shown to me. There was another world before this universe ever was created and that world was named "The City of God" and all that was created up to that point all lived in this city, well God has a chain of command just like anyone else of a King standards, So Lucifer was 2nd in command and Lucifer was the most beautiful of all creations and was honor as such, then this holding Lucifer up on a pedestal this set in Pride within Lucifer, then Lucifer started to think that he deserved some of God's Glory, (It is written Glory be to God and no one else is worthy of God's glory) so Lucifer thought as himself as an equal to God then Justice said this has to be tested, and that test instantly turned Lucifer into Satan, then Satan pursued 1/3 of all that was created to side with him in over throwing God. God has truth, Love, Justice within his spirit so then Justice said all this has to be tested or none of them are justified so all must perish. Long story short this world was created to test principles between God vs Satan to see which King will have the Kingdom.

Oh man, I was really hoping you wouldn't push this false narrative. So a couple things that make this argument entirely wrong. Much like the passage in Isaiah that mentions "Lucifer" (Lucifer is neither Satan, nor even a name) this passage is talking about the fall of a once great and powerful king. In this case the king of tyre. It's very much written as a sarcastic, roast against this king. We know this passage is talking about a man and not an angel or fallen angel etc because it goes out of it's way at least 3 times in verses 2, 9 and others to say he is not a god, but merely a man. There's no mistaken it. All the verses you cited claiming it's not a man are using poetic imagery and metaphors to get the point across . The verse about being in the garden of Eden, is a reference to Adam and how he fell into sin. It was drawing a comparison between the king and Adam. Furthermore, he does not have access to God's throne. In fact, God goes on to say he doesn't. Again it was a reference to the ego of this king who thought to be as high as the Most High, and God had to cast him down. Almost a 1 to 1 parallel to the King of Babylon in Isaiah that everyone mistakenly equates to Satan. And if that weren't enough, the entire context of this passage is talking the king of tyre which is one of the Oracles, where each Oracle is speaking specifically of a physical earthly man and geographical location. It would make absolutely no sense to all a sudden switch gears to speak about an angelic being under the guise of a king. All the verses talking about his perfect beauty and jewels etc, again is just poetic imagery to emphasize how powerful this king once was, but got too arrogant and cocky, and fell from grace. This passage has nothing to do with a fallen angel. Neither does Isaiah. Again, it's just Parallel passage talking about the fall of a once great King of Babylon. Lucifer is not a name of anybody, and it certainly isn't the name of Satan. Lucifer is a translation of a Latin word elel that simply means light bearer or bringer. It's a reference to Venus or the morning Star, which is what the king of Babylon was compared to. Also, Lucifer is only found in the KJV and NKJV So again, not only is Lucifer not Satan, but it's not a proper name of anybody. Isaiah and Ezekiel are merely stories about two Kings who had it all, and fell from grace due to their pride. Nowhere in either passage is there any indication without forcing an outside ideology, that would suggest either passages are about angelic beings, let alone Satan. And the real kicker is these two passages are where 90% of the origin story of Satan comes from. Once you realize these passages aren't about Satan, and aren't his origin story, you start to realize most of what we're told about Satan is pure fan fiction. Satan is not anything like who or what we've been told. After all, Satan (saw-tawn) is simply the Hebrew word for adversary. There are many adversaries or "satans" in the Bible including the Angel of the Lord, Peter, and God Himself. It's almost as if we've attributed all of the examples of a fallen spirit, adversary, enemy, false accuser etc etc to one single boogyman villain, capitalized the 'S' and call him Satan... Just my hot take.

You're totally right. Those verses are taken out of context. We don't see Satan in the Tanakh besides the book of Zechariah.
It's only after Jesus that Satan becomes a big deal. The Lake of Fire is not a thing in the Old Testament either. It's like after God sent Jesus there were a lot of changes.
In Luke 10 Jesus mentions "Satan falling from the sky like lightning" but that's all He says. He doesn't quote Isaiah. He could have, but he didn't. But for some people that's enough to take those verses of Isaiah out of context. Even though Hillel Ben Shachar and Satan are completely different characters.

Thank you for the helpful insight. One thing I’ve learned though is that Lucifer is not his name. It’s a false English translation of the Hebrew word Heylel meaning, Star of the Morning, Light Bringer. From my understanding the name Lucifer was given falsely by Saint Jerome when a competing scribe Saint Lucifer was also translating. Jerome attributed the word Heylel to His competitor almost out of spite or jealousy no one will truly know the intent. But Lucifer is not the devil’s name

Read Luk. 4:5-6. Satan shows Christ all the kingdoms of this world, and he tells Christ that God gave him total authority over those kingdoms. Satan is able to rule this world by deceiving it(Rev. 12:9). That especially includes human rulers.

The reason you don’t see Satan is because he is God in the Old Testament. What would it look like is Satan took the throne of God on earth? After all, he wanted to be like God. The result is the Old Testament. Those actions and behaviors are not of God. That is someone looking to make a statement with violence and destruction.

Around min 12:10, the video stops abruptly while you are teaching about the fact that hell was originally created for Satan and his demons, but it is also the destination of souls who follow Satan in his rebellion. You had just posed the question: What does that mean for us? and the video then sticks and the audio stops for about 5 secs, but it kind of picks up right where you left off. Wasn't sure if you realized that or not and it belies your high level of professionalism that I've become accustomed to. That imperfection notwithstanding, this really blessed me. Lucifer is not the name of Satan. Lucifer is a Latin word meaning morning star. Where this name came around is those who translated the Bible from Greek Latin and not Hebrew. Jesus also calls himself the Morning Star in Revelations 22. The book of Isaiah in chapter 14 vers 12 said Heyella in Hebrew not Lucifer. The cult of Lucifer came around when the story called Paradise Lost came out in 1647 written by John Melton. All your English Bibles that were translated from latin to english have the name Lucifer in it. Now if you go to a Bible like the ESV that is trainslated from Hebrew Isaiah 14:12 does not say Lucifer and you turn to Leviticus 16:6-10 you will see that they put Azazel back in who was a Devil a Satan in the Apocrypha. Aaron sacrificed two goats one to the Lord and one to Azazel. The name Lucifer does not exist in Hebrew text. We as christens need to look at Revelations 20 where it says the Serpent, the Devil who is Satan. Yep that is 3 he is trying to be like God. Allen a good question for you is why are we still using Lucifer as Satans name if it is a Greek Latin word and not Hebrew. Also if it means Morning Star and Jesus calls himself the Morning Star are we not calling Jesus the devil? I think this name does not belong to Satan at all. He is tricking you with a cover up in the greek translations.

Thank you Brother Allen, this is an extremely informative video. Since I thought about life and God's creation as a whole, including angels and demons, Lucifer, Michael and Gabriel, and the devil or satan, after I became a Christian in 1989, I believed it to be the way you explained. However, I could never tell anybody WHY I believed it and certainly did not have the theological knowledge to explain it. This is great! Perhaps you should do a series on angels, seraphim, serabim, cherubs, and what those words mean, and what the roles of the different beings are, what it means in our lives, and what our position is in relation to them before God. That would be something I would enjoy tremendously.

Angels were created with free will, just like human beings were. Angels and human beings were created with free will because God intended both species to develop His character within them. That would not be possible if He created robots who were merely programmed to do it. A being has to be able to _willingly_ choose to obey God and submit to His authority. However, the catch with free will is that said being can also choose to disobey God.
