Allen, the timing of this for me of you making this video is absolutely amazing. I've been a sola scriptura Christian for about 3 years and within the last week these supposed missionaries have been talking to me and at first I thought. This is amazing I was looking for a new church to attend and really thought this was something that was meant to be I gave them my phone number and they hadn't brought up the book of Mormonism until recently and I attended the church the other day and these Church Elders have been trying to get me baptized and after doing more research I was realizing this things about how non-Christian the book or Mormon is and I was thinking all day today about how I was gonna mention it to them and I finally did that today after listening to this whole thing. It's purely amazing that you posted this today.
Hi Allen, I'm a Latter-day Saint. I wanted to let you know that you made a great many factual errors in this video and greatly misrepresented Mormonism and the Church of Jesus Christ. I would love to talk with you and clear these things up. There are also a great many Latter-day Saint scholars and UA-camrs who would love to come on your show and collaborate to make a video accurately portraying our beliefs that's constructive rather than destructive. I know for a fact that Ward Radio, Thoughtful Faith, and Robert Boylan would accept the offer in a heartbeat.
@@Eric_Rebron You should know that most of the stuff said about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in this video is wildly incorrect. Rather than blindly trust what you hear on the internet from apologists and antagonists, where misinformation runs loose. I would encourage you to have your own experience. Read the Book of Mormon and see for yourself how Christian it is. Pray to God for guidance as you seek truth with love and charity. James 1:5, 16-21 "5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him... 16 Do not err, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. 19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. 21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls." Proverb 18:13, 17 "13 If one gives an answer before he hears, it is his folly and shame. 17 In a lawsuit the first to speak seems right, until someone comes forward and cross-examines."
You ever notice that every other religion besides Christianity focuses on one person as "the last prophet" and totally doesnt focus and put 100% credit to Jesus Christ?
I would say that we have a pretty good focus on Jesus Christ. Here is my favorite verse from the "satanic" Book of Mormon for emphasis: Mosiah 4:11 - And again I say unto you as I have said before, that as ye have come to the knowledge of the glory of God, or if ye have known of his goodness and have tasted of his love, and have received a remission of your sins, which causeth such exceedingly great joy in your souls, even so I would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God, and your own nothingness, and his goodness and long-suffering towards you, unworthy creatures, and humble yourselves even in the depths of humility, calling on the name of the Lord daily, and standing steadfastly in the faith of that which is to come, which was spoken by the mouth of the angel. We are NOTHING without God, His Son, and the Holy Spirit. We should always remember that. This is one of the reasons why this is my favorite verse. You're actually kind of right on this point. We ALL need to remember how merciful God is to us, when even our best works are as filthy rags before him. His Grace is EVERY bit the way we make it to heaven. Sorry to offfend. Have a nice day!
@@BookWardenif you’re comparing the BoM and D&C you are going to se the huge discrepancy between them. The BoM are literally a copy of the Bible and D&C are exclusively thought and teachings of a narcissistic man. No offense 😉
@@giraffewhiskers2045 hello thanks for your reply. Please elaborate on your response ( Sorry to ask I just wish UA-cam would print the original question as a reference) 👍
@@nute742 with Christian’s we believe in the trinity.. we believe that Jesus, the father and the Holy Spirit are all 3 persons in 1 being.. this may be blasphemy to say but think about in those cartoons where 3 kids jump on each others shoulders and make them selfs into one figure, or think about did disorder.. basically they have personalities with different responsibilities and they are all in one body Mormons don’t believe in the trinity, they believe Jesus was made or he was archangel micheal, and I’ve heard that you guys don’t read the Bible as much as you do the Book of Mormon.. that’s usually the book Mormons want to hand out, and not the Bible! Then you believe athiests just go into a black void when the Bible teaches those who don’t follow God go to hell, and those who put their faith in Christ go to heaven. Not to mention John 10:30 which says “I and the father are one” and Jesus was speaking John 1:1-5 talks about Jesus being in the beginning and if you look at the word Elohim I believe it’s plural in genesis 1, then in also in genesis 2 it says “let’s create man in OUR image” but Adam and Eve don’t address their being any other Gods besides 1 being.. therefor the trinity..
I live in Utah, grew up in Utah, I am surrounded by LDS members..... being someone who has finally found the true Jesus, it feels very lonely sometimes.
Look for a bible believing church and look for groups of ex members of the lds 1:51 who are now Christian. Maybe connect with this person who connect with others
I was Mormon and cursed! Turns out I believed blasphemous idolatrous perverse beliefs and demons attacked every aspect of my life. Finally I got Delivered! Set Free in Jesus name! I renewed my mind and got Real Jesys now!
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and feel blessed every day. My Savior Jesus Christ has been beside me in every trial,, in sunshine and dark shadow.I cannot wait to kneel at His feet at that perfect day, and thank Him for all of the kindness given to me, as a I gaze upon the wounds in His hands, feet and side, that He endured for me and all who shall step forward by faith.Grace indeed, loved and cared for, even though I do not deserve any of the everlasting kindness that has been generously gifted to me.
True Christianity is just so simple we all are sinners which is why we need Jesus who died for our sins And he can do that cause he is God 3 in 1 and lived a sinless life
Having been a Mormon for 47 years, I can tell you the best way to evangelize a Mormon is to #1 be a living example of a disciple, #2 be a kind friend, and #3 ASK QUESTIONS! Mormons believe that their feelings are the Holy Ghost. If you say something that makes them uncomfortable, they think it's the Spirit testifying that what you are saying is wrong. To get past this Holy Ghost feelings, it's absolutely necessary to ask them the questions so they can do their own research.
Good advice!! The Spirit of religion is so strong with this group of people. They truly have to humble themselves or let the Lord humble them, which is what happened to me!! And believe me, it was painful, but then God showed me Himself, and still it took my effort to choose Him and NOT the Church.
I’m sorry to but this just simply isn’t true. I don’t believe my feelings are the Holy Ghost. Maybe people miscommunicate because we’re human after all. I believe the holy spiritual speaks to my mind and my heart. Together. Calling it feelings is inaccurate. I believe developing the spiritual gift of discernment is incredibly important for all people. God bless.
@@kristinrichmond8185 If my pastor came out to be a pedophile polygamist, I’d be running from that church as fast as possible and trying to save everyone else in there. Exactly. Don’t take this pastor’s word for it. Do your own research. Prayerfully discern for yourself whether this pastor speaks the truth or not. Read the Book of Mormon and make your own judgement. I was a Mormon for 35 years of my life. It is a hard road to exit. They tought me that the surest way to give my soul to Satan was to leave the Mormon church. I understand how hard it can be to face that reality that none of it is true that the real truth is that through the grace of Jesus and faith alone we are saved is hard at first but so very easy once you realize it. My god is a good gracious God who loves me and all of his children. Stop hesitating and realize that there's nothing you can do to earn your way into heaven you have to have Jesus.
@BaBumz because that's the best first response. No questions no curiosity about how I came to my conclusion. Just outright name calling and insulting is not necessary.
@imarip9781 you can't buy your way into heaven. You should do works because they are a good thing to do, not because you think you'll get into "better" heaven. Ephesians 2:8-9 King James Version 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Works don't get you into heaven grace and faith do.
@imarip9781 love it. I didn't think we were in disagreement. All glory goes to God in the end. For as long as through our works we give it all to god it is a good and great thing. Thank you for all you've shared.
@imarip9781 - According to the Bible, it says that if you are trusting in any amount of works at all to get into heaven, then that is a different gospel and one that doesn’t save.
I was a Mormon for 52 years and glad to finally be out of that cult! I'm a new born again Christian and have never been happier or more determined in spreading the real Jesus and real Christianity to my family and friends! Thanks for this great video and God bless!!
@allanapereira9779 - I ask you to please join any church that is not led by the pastor in this video. He is truly one of the most UN-Christlike humans I have ever had the displeasure of watching on a "religious" video. You think he would have spent his time preaching of Jesus Christ and testifying of Christ instead of spreading falsehoods and blatant lies and complete contempt for his neighbors that believe differently than he does. Is that the leader of a congregation you want to align with? Would Jesus choose that pastor's example to represent Christlike values? Absolutely not. There is no spirit of Christ in that pastor that I could feel this entire video.
My mom was Mormon by default habing been born in Salt Lake City in 1941, met my dad, got married, moved to Cali, then got saved around 1960-something. Fast forward to late 90's and the Mormon church tracked her down for geology stuff and it was FREAKY, she was highly diaconcerted that after ao many years and several cross-country address changes, that they were so easily able to track her down before there was widespread tech that made such information access readily available.
Not shocked to hear this in the slightest. Mormons use "family search" for their genealogy stuff and you can find almost anything on anyone on there. All kinds of public records, all of your current/previous addresses.. what have you. If she hasn't had her records removed from the church I would urge her to do so!
So glad you are boldly speaking about this now Allan. In the beginning you were not confident to speak boldly about Mormonism. God gives us courage to speak the truth in love!
Thank you for this video, Brother Parr. I was born and raised in a mormon fundamentalist polygamist group but was saved 11 months ago. I now attend a non-denominational church where I was baptized in October of last year. There were many things that the Holy Spirit used to lead me to Jesus, but your channel was one of them. I began watching some of your videos as a young teenager, and the power, direction, and simplicity of God's word was becoming clear to me. Your channel helped shine the light of God into the darkness of my life. Praise God for that and my eventual salvation. I pray that others in the LDS faith will come to know God as he really is and understand the power and simplicity of His salvation.🤍
Awesome testimony! Jesus chases after those that belong to Him. Who the Son sets free is free indeed! Praise God for being found and placed into His huge family. Welcome 🙏🏽 💖
Buzz and Maya Swolpin are my favorite commentators on this particular subject. So much great insight. Their videos are kind of hard to find and I'm not sure I got the spelling right. Ask your bible group the next chance you get, I'm sure someone will know about them. Shalom! 🕊️
Iwas raise kind of a jack mormon, I know as much as an outsider does, but even I know that you don't conflate the FLDS with the LDS, it is insulting to them.
My daughter told me that she asked God how to deal with the LDS, and HE said LOVE. Please love them into the truth of the Gospel. The scales are very thick on their eyes, they literally are blind. They need your prayers and love!!!
I appreciate you pointing out the greatest of all commandments. “LOVE”. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints have endured almost 200 years of the non-stop hatred, persecution, lies, conspiracy theories, mocking and the like. Jesus prophesied that because he was first hated and persecuted the same will be done unto his servants and his church. All his original 12 apostles were mocked, persecuted and the majority was killed all because they were preaching the gospel that the Jews would not accept as they cling to only the laws of Moses and felt they have everything and didn’t need any other teachings. Heck, they even called Jesus, the devil. Fast forward to these last days and the same exact thing is happening. Many of God’s prophecy is being fulfilled. These last days the deceived, the naysayers, evil doers will call good, bad and bad, good. Y’all are the ones that are spiritually blind because the devil whispers into y’all ears with his mountain of lies and y’all run with it without ever going to God with a sincere heart, mind and soul and ask him where to find his only church that he created and gave his power and authority to 12 men he ordained. Satan is so threatened by the true church that is lead and guided by Jesus, that the hatred and persecution is never ending. It’s worse now with the technology of the World Wide Web/the internet and social media. The man made false churches y’all flock to, but The Church of Jesus Christ that teaches the full gospel is the one that y’all love to spread lies about, misrepresent and take much out of context that y’all don’t understand and some of the same parts we have a common ground on is never spoken about. You see how cunning and crafty the devil is!!!. When I read the Holy Bible (KJV), I recognize and understand correctly so much more that is only taught in The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints because all the other churches are man made and they do not have the power and authority from God and this church is the only one that is God made. There is only 1 Lord, 1 Faith and 1 Baptism. To put in context the reality there’s actually only 2 churches. The church of the devil which is the Catholic Church and all the Protestant churches that evolve from them. The other church is The Church of Jesus Christ. Here’s some research y’all can do. The entire Bible mentions christian(s) only 3 times, but yet y’all are like ravishing wolves as the gate keepers. Lol. Did y’all not know it was unbelievers, nay sayers that used that christian(s) to mock, ridiculed and was originally used as a derogatory term to those who believe in Christ, but we all have adopted it. How ironic and interesting that y’all are unbelievers within our belief context and were the ones from the Protestant/evangelical community so many years ago mocked us and label us as “mormons”. Unfortunately in my opinion, we mistakenly accepted that label for a time, although we have identified ourselves as followers of Christ thereby we are more Christians than the ravishing wolves of gate keepers who are making false judgements as to who is a Christian or not. The Church have formerly, several years ago, denounced the use and acceptance of the label of “mormons”, “mormon church” and “mormonism”. Furthermore, as part of the name of Jesus Church we are Latter-day Saints, not “mormons. Mormon was an ancient Prophet and historian and he played a significant role in preserving and protecting the scriptures of God’s dealings with his other sheep. That being said, if you really study God’s words in the Holy Bible, the Prophet and Apostles consistently referred to the church members in their revelations and in written epistles was “Saints”. The word Saint(s) are found in the Holy Bible about 100 times right down to the last book of the Holy Bible which is Revelation. So while y’all want to be the ravishing wolves of gate keepers for the word “Christian” which was used as a mocker, we will still identify ourselves as followers of Jesus Christ and his true last day Saints that he speaks of that will be his elect.
Hi, I'm a Latter-day Saint, thank you for your concern and effort to love. You'll be happy to know that most of the horrible things said about the Church of Jesus Christ in this video are false. So good news, we are not really as satanic as you've been led to believe. All that being said, may I ask why you're hesitant to accept the Book of Mormon? Have you ever read it?
God in His mercy saved me from Mormonism a little more than 5 years ago. Similar to the story of Beau and KD, it took me YEARS to find the courage to leave. If any Mormons watching are in the same situation, the joy and freedom in Christ is worth any pain you may experience in leaving. ❤

The Lord by His mercy sent two sister missionaries from the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to my door in the Spring of 1980.I was baptised on June 7, of that year.I love my Redeemer Jesus Christ, His Restored church, and I equally adore both the Holy Bible and Book of Mormon.Saved from confusion and gross sin,I am now free, in and through Christ, and do not merit such grace and kindness.
I was an Evangelical, and the Lord sent two wonderful sister missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to my door in the Spring of 1980.I did not deserve the grace they told me about through Jesus Christ, but they assured me that if would repent and come unto the Savior, I could find peace.I was baptised in June of that year.Never been happier, no regrets, except the way I was treated by my former evangelical church members and worst of all by my former pastor. The snide remarks and hatred was shocking.I had no idea people could be so mean. Not all evangelicals are like this, most are kind and considerate.I still get called a cult member sometimes and other names too vulgar to repeat, but those little cuts and scrapes, are nothing compared to what the Savior has endured for me.I love both the Holy Bible and Book of Mormon, they both witness to all of us that we are loved, redeemed, purchased, saved, rescued, al because of what the Savior has done for each of us.Yours in Christ, Dan.
That... they... believe in Jesus..? How is that not true? Regardless of your different interpretations of the Bible, I'm pretty sure they're still big fans of Jesus.
I come from a long lineage of Mormons. Left when I was 19 and they expected me to serve a mission. I never felt like it was truth. My brother followed suit as did my best friend (his parents think I’m the devil). I didn’t believe we could be Gods. And the real tipping point was learning about the temple endowment ceremonies. They show a film of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden and after they partake of the fruit Satan tells them to cover their bodies with fig leaves. They pause the film and instruct the group of about 20 people to stand and put on their green fig leaf aprons on top of the white temple clothes. They are literally holding a ceremony to show contrition to Satan. Nobody questions it, they just obey. Then they move on to a blood oath. God believes in growth through free will. Satan believes in forced contrition. Most churches operate as control mechanisms which makes me believe they are Satan’s greatest deception. Lead people astray while convincing them they are holy. Contradictions in Mormon scripture vs biblical scripture are lazily explained away as “incorrect interpretations”. Bible teaches we are saved by the grace of God. Nothing more, nothing less. The Mormons believe we are all going to heaven, but that our “works” determine which kingdom of heaven (3 levels of heaven) we end up in. The top level of course is reserved for Mormons that did their temple work. They get mansions in the “Celestial Kingdom” with streets paved in gold and granted the power to create worlds and be gods themselves. A very materialistic idea of heaven. Quite the opposite of what I envision heaven to be.
@@VincentDy-q4h It is not presented or taught that way, and is simply a logical direction. We partner with God on earth to share in creating life. We don't do it on our own. Families are our greatest blessings. Why would a loving Heavenly Father take our greatest and righteous joy from us? We are not a 'god" in the sense of this world.
John 10:33-34 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? Romans 8:17 ...And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
You are so surrounded by demonic entities that you are blind to see it. It’s so obvious when y’all fall into satan’s trap not knowing the scriptures but bearing false witness of sound doctrine. I don’t want you to continue to suffer in darkness so let me minister unto you as it’s the Christlike thing to do. Here a few scriptures that God have repeatedly told us we are little gods, not the Almighty God. Know the difference and stop letting the devil deceive you. You won’t like the outcome in the end. Reject the devil and he will flee. PSALM 82: 6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. DANIEL 2: 47 The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.” 1 Corinthians 8: 5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) 6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. Our church didn’t invent what the scriptures already revealed. Pay attention to the upper case “G” (only 1 God) and the lower case “g”(gods many). Never should you speak of what you don’t understand and condemn and blaspheme on what is of God. God will continue to reveal things to his true ordained servants. Don’t be like the Pharisees who reject things they never understood. They mocked and crucified Jesus based on their unbelief. Their mainstream beliefs and tradition rested on the Law of Moses only. The Gospel of Jesus Christ was new to them and they called Jesus the devil because they were astonished as to his preachings. I would encourage you to seek your own personal revelation through prayer and even fasting to God. Ask and ye shall receive. Don’t jeopardize your own salvation leaning unto your own understanding. Praying for you. 🙏🏽 REPENT
I lived in Utah for several years, just minutes away from BYU in a 90+% Mormon area. The spiritual oppression was palpable. Evangelical/Bible-believing Christians like myself made up less than 1% of the population in that area; there were more Buddhists than Christians there! Being part of a great Bible teaching fellowship--a church planted by a missionary pastor much like this man--was absolutely essential to maintaining my spiritual well-being as a believer. Thank you, sir, for your service to the people of Utah, who desperately need the Gospel!
Which church are true according to the Bible in this world? Because many churches are not true according to this scriptures, Matthew 7:21-23,Roman's 10;1-3,2Corintians 11:12-15,2thimoty 4:3-4, 2Peter 2:1-3, and what is Christmas, Goodfriday and Easter according to the Bible?
INCORRECT: 6:38: President Hinckley(the living prophet at the time) is referring to the concept of Christ that has been developed in the centuries since the Nicene Creed was formed-He is saying that we do not believe in non-Biblical creeds. This statement is quite correct: Latter-day Saints do not have some of the same “beliefs” about Christ that other Christian churches do. He IS NOT saying that we do not believe in the Biblical Christ. In fact, the reason that Latter-day Saints do not accept these creeds is because they are non-Biblical. President Hinckley continued (with words ALWAYS omitted by critics): “Am I Christian? Of course I am. I believe in Christ. I talk of Christ. I pray through Christ. I'm trying to follow Him and live His gospel in my life.” There’s too many half truths shared here. Read the Book of Mormon and Bible fully and see if it’s all that’s it’s cracked up to be. It’s not replace the Bible. It’s a record of people who lived in ancient America who knew of Christ and they share their revelations and experiences of what they witnesses. Just another testament to prove that Jesus is the son of God. And back up the words of the holy Bible. It’s very interesting to hear a conversation about “Mormons” from people who aren’t Mormon lol it’s like asking a white guy what is the experience of being a black man. Or someone who is Islam explaining what Christians truly believe in. Go to the source, not a 3rd party lol Members of the church aren’t on the offensive making content going after other denominations, but we sure could. Being Christlike I guess is relative to some. Hopefully this helps some one out there
Joseph Smith wrote and taught so many things that outright contradict the Biblical revelation. On top of the fact that He made prophecies that didn't come to pass, he's clearly unreliable. That's why we talk about Mormonism in this context. The doctrine is significantly different from traditional Christianity.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I’ve never once in my life been told we are not Christians by any leader in any capacity. Notice how Pastor Bryan doesn’t finish the quote he’s referring to. President Gordon B. Hinckley, responding to a question regarding whether Latter-day Saints believe in the “traditional Christ,” stated: No I don't. The traditional Christ of whom they speak is not the Christ of whom I speak. For the Christ of whom I speak has been revealed in this the dispensation of the fullness of times”. President Hinckley is referring to the concept of Christ that has developed in the centuries since the Nicene Creed was formed. He is saying that we do not believe in non-Biblical creeds. This statement is quite correct: Latter-day Saints do not have some of the same beliefs about Christ that other Christian churches do. He is not saying that we do not believe in the Biblical Christ. In fact, the reason that Latter-day Saints do not accept these creeds is because they are non-Biblical. President Hinckley continued (with words usually omitted by critics): Am I Christian? Of course I am. I believe in Christ. I talk of Christ. I pray through Christ. I'm trying to follow Him and live His gospel in my life. President Hinckley was quite clear in his position regarding Christ: “Are we Christians? Of course we are Christians. We believe in Christ. We worship Christ. We take upon ourselves in solemn covenant His holy name. The Church to which we belong carries His name. He is our Lord, our Savior, our Redeemer through whom came the great Atonement with salvation and eternal life”. These clowns know this is a lie and yet continue to be disingenuous. I don’t think they’re Christian. “For they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me”. This is what “Mormons”, “LDS” and members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints actually believe. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. These are some of my favorite Bible versus as we believe in the Old and New Testament. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: John 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believes thou this? John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matthew 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. During His earthly ministry, Jesus taught His gospel and established His Church. Jesus called twelve Apostles and gave them authority to lead His Church. At the end of His life, Jesus atoned for our sins by His suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane and on the cross. After Jesus’s death, He was resurrected. Because of Jesus’s atoning sacrifice, we can be forgiven and cleansed of our sins. This brings us peace and makes it possible for us to return to God’s presence and receive a fulness of joy. Because of Jesus, and only Jesus, we overcome physical and spiritual death. To answer Allen’s question, this is what we believe and what he does for us. Now time for everyone to tell me I’m in a “cult”.
This pastor doesn’t really know what he is talking about I will love to have a debate with him I was a Christian before before I convert to the lds .. and I will tell you , the water that Jesus offer to the lady by the wall that will satisfy her , I feel that in my life .

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have grown to know my Savior, to understand his will for me, I have become kinder, more charitable, a better wife and mother, and a list of many other fruits. I have found peace, and my disposition to do good and live by the example of Christ is continually growing. I repent daily, and thus my weaknesses are made strong. These are the fruits! Please don’t listen to this dishonesty. Come and see. ❤❤❤
You don’t seem to understand that it isn’t just believing in Christ. It is believing who Christ IS. You don’t seem to even understand what you don’t understand
I think it’s hilarious listening to the strawman arguments and characterizations anti-Mormon evangelicals attribute to church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It’s amazingly similar to listening to progressive leftists describe conservatives.
Glad you are talking about this after the interview with the creator of the Chosen who believes his Mormon friends serve the same Jesus as he does. Thank you for sharing the truth with love!
@@CCD_106 Perhaps he was led by the Holy Spirit that that was not the time to address it. Even Paul was told by the Holy Spirit not to teach the gospel to certain peoples at certain times.
Spot on? 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Guess you weren't a Mormon for long. Even most ex-mo's making comments here are calling out the inaccurate content. Those 2 pastors didn't do their homework and instead produced blatant lies and twisted info for this video.
Satan sure is proud of the Apostates who became his minions. Keep up the bad work. You will receive your inheritance from your father, the devil. Hope you will be happy, not, because misery recruited misery.
@@jeffs4483 The trick is you are the one that satan already have as one of his minions because you are here carrying out his will to deny the words of God that says we are indeed little gods after our our creator. Meaning we can become like our Heavenly Father when we return to live with him in Heaven, eternally. If we are created in God’s image do we not look like our creator. Because of sin, we’ve fallen short of God’s glory. Aren’t we suppose to strive to be more like him, otherwise we default to satan. Satan will always come with his counterfeits as he knows he’s guaranteed to get people like you to be confused and instead deny God’s power thinking blindly. You see he’s very cunning and crafty. By denying God’s power, you automatically defaults to him. That’s exactly what you are doing right now. REPENT!!! It’s foolish to be calling God a liar when his words are very clear in the scriptures. It’s the trap of satan to have you deny and condemn things of God that you lack any spiritual understanding in at all. Because of your spiritual blindness, satan operates so well to lead the masses astray with carnal mindsets such as yours. Reject him and he will flee. You bear false witness against God. Don’t jeopardize your own Salvation because you seeing things through the eyes of flesh and not the spirit. 2Timothy 3:5 “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”KJV 2 TIMOTHY 4:3 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” KJV 1 TIMOTHY 4: 1 “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;” KJV

44:08 well to be “on par with scripture” it has to be canonized. We do have a couple documents that have been since the death of Joseph Smith. But few and far between any statement made by a president of the church is actually taken as seriously as holy writ. His counsel is useful for some for the time he says it. Like don’t watch porn. Pray more. Etc
Washington DC would not allow Utah to gain statehood unless they stopped polygamy (Utah was a Mexican territory at the time). Then, poof!, the "prophet" had a revelation from God saying they no longer were to practice polygamy. Quite the coincidence wouldn't you say?
The canard of Latter-day Saint chapels being ‘marked’ with crosses, has absolutely nothing to do with the church but is rather a tool used by the mapping companies to demonstrate the location of a church building, using a symbol that is familiar to most people who are searching.
Imagine the KKK comes to your house and one of them is black? 😨 😢 😰 It's already happened to me twice now and about to happen a third time. The true and living God never cursed anyone with dark skin. I recommend Steven Hassan's book Combating Cult Mind Control. Fascinatingly enough, cults draw in the less intelligent as well as the highly intelligent.
Jehovah Witnesses are some of the least educated people in the world. It is easy to seduce the uneducated. It is understandable that ignorant people are easily duped. The LDS church is exactly opposite. They are extremely educated, and have the prestigious BYU as an example of their heritage. The LDS church is the 8th wonder of the world, because so many educated people are blinded by a con man like Joseph Smith. There is no evidence to support any of Joe Smith's outlandish claims, yet 16 million intelligent people follow the lies. It is amazing.
So that is not true. The Savior offered Himself to be our Savior, before the earth existed.Lucifer opposed the plan of salvation, and his smooth speech drew away one third of our former brothers and sisters, who supported his lies, and so there was war in heaven! Satan was cast out, as well as all who had supported him in any way. The only reason, we become anything at all, is because of what Christ has done for us,changing our natures, rescueing us from the grasp of sin, by His sacrifice for us.And so, from age to age we take on the Lord's divine attributes, not of ourselves, but by grace offered to us through Christ Jesus. The Savior understands us, He too went from childhood, adolesence, and into adulthood. He knew hunger, thirst, rejection and the hatred of the world .All of these things and much more He endured for you and I .Yours in Christ, Dan.
@ The problem is …Mormons don’t know who Christ is. They worship a false Christ that never existed, they worship a Christ that is satans brother. He’s God ,the great I Am . The creator of everything….including Satan . Nor did God come down from heaven and hav3 sex with Mary ….Joseph’s myth is just that,a fabrication of his perverted mind
Pastor Bryan, your statement is misleading at 6:00. The prophet would never say he is not a Christian. Unfortunately, you came up with that conclusion by trying to interpret something different from what was actually said. Gordon B. Hinckley is one of the kindest, wisest, and loving individuals I have ever learned from. Christ's restored gospel is once again on the earth. I invite all to find this out themselves by taking faith to explore the message of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ taught from the message of the Book of Mormon and asking God, not man, not your pastor, not your neighbor, not even your friend who may be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but to ask God. Understanding how God answers, what he will answer, how he communicates to us in different ways will help us recognize the answer to that prayer. There are so many voices out there that distract us, that deceive us, that cause many to miss the mark however through the power of the Holy Ghost we may know the truth of all things.
God has told me what the true, original gospel is. It's in I Corinthians 15:1-4. Christ has already done the one work that was necessary to reconcile us to God when he shed his blood on the cross, died, and rose again. Like the thief on the cross, all anyone needs to do is repent of their sins and put their faith in what Jesus Christ has already done for them. ✝️ 💕 Jesus Christ never required anyone to believe the Book of Mormon is true, join a church, tithe, go through a worthiness interview, earn forgiveness, get a temple recommend,go through an Endowment Ceremony, learn secret grips, tokens, signs, handshakes, and passwords, do temple work, wear temple garments, etc.. You can trust Jesus. 🕊
Only ONE God. Isaiah 43:10 “You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed” Psalms 118:8-9 "It is better to trust in the Lord, than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord, than to put confidence in princes."
Please explain Jesus Baptism to me. Jesus is god right he is in the water? His father in heaven spoke to him and the holy ghost decended as a dove. NO how is this ONE PERSON ??? ALso on the cross Jesus is dying , he called out to His Father and asked why he had forsaken him (or had left him alone in his time of need) ??? How is Jesus the Father the same person ??? They are not. They are ONE in divine purpose . My wife and i are ONE. ARe we the same person ??? No but we are one in flesh at times as commanded by God in the bringing of children to this earth. WE are one in our desire to serve God. We are one in purpose. Your misinterpretation of scripture shows you have chosen some scripture to support a theology made of man as part of the nicean creed who had to describe what they believed God was without understanding as there was no PROPHET living on the earth.
What gives any Christian (or non-Christian) person or denomination the right to apply or deny the label “Christian” to any other denomination? Show me where in the Bible this definition is created or enforced? In the most basic definition, a Christian is someone who is a follower of Jesus Christ. Following Christ by embodying both the beliefs of the Christian faith by believing in Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection (orthodoxy), and also by putting that faith into action as true disciples of Christ (orthopraxy). Furthermore, the word Christian is used three times in the Bible (Acts 11:26; Acts 26:28; 1 Peter 4:16). In each instance the Greek word Christianos is used, which is defined Biblically as a follower of Christ (2). The word Christ, which is the root of the world Christian, is defined as the Messiah or anointed One, referring to Jesus Christ (3). I’d say if you’re really following the Bible as truth and right, then Mormons (members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) would clearly fall into the category of Christian based on scripture. Look in your own hearts, focus on your own salvation rather than attacking others who are only trying to do the same. You don’t ever see Mormons attacking other denominations, or trying to enforce their own made up definition of who can be in the cool kids club.
The one question I think I would ask a Mormon is why the "restoration " was necessary if Jesus is true (The Truth) and the Holy Spirit is not a failure? Specifically, the Restoration of the church? If the true gospel was no longer being preached and the true church had gone extinct sometime after the 1st century, that would make Jesus a liar and the Holy Sprit a failure. "John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-" "Matthew 28:20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen."
Because they are the Synagogue of Satan The seed of the serpent The ADVERSARY THOSE CHOSEN BY GOD TO BRING ABOUT THE END JUDGMENT UPON THE EARTH A judgment of Lawlessness TERROR AND UNCEASING BLOODSHED
Yeah I’m also confused by that. Jesus was the restoration - He restored dead sinners to life, He restored us to a right relationship with God, He sent us the Holy Spirit. What more do we need/want?
AWW8472: Acts 3:20 (AKJV) "And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began."
30:12 let me give you an example. Paul is on the road to Damascus and receives the theophany of Jesus. He says he goes to the wilderness to be taught for 3 years by the Lord. When he comes back, he preaches that there is no Jesus Christ. It’s all a damned lie and not to believe the gospel. He would be what we call a Son of Perdition. One who had perfect knowledge and crucified Jesus afresh. He would be cast into outer darkness with the devil and his angels.
Revelation 21:8 All liars will have their part in the lake which burns with fire. God standards are much higher than man's. Everyone is on their way to hell. Romans 3 There is none righteous, no not one. It is only by the grace of God that anyone gets into heaven. Christ said that few people would get into heaven. Matthew 7:13-14 Jesus Christ doesn't follow the teachings of the LDS church.
@@Elizabeth-rk3do I agree with Revelation 21:8. The Lake of Fire is not outer darkness. Matthew 7:13-14 is talking about the way that leads to life. I am curious how you interpret revelation 20:12-15. The sea, death and Hell, release their dead to be judged out of the books, according to their works. Why is the Bible teaching that man is judged by his works?
@kcbutts2724 Unbelievers are judged by their works. The works of the LDS church consist of: Idolatry- the worship of an exalted man from another planet that had to work his way to Godhood, lives near a star named Kolob, practices polygamy, is the literal father of Jesus Christ, damns people who deny the eternal principle of polygamy (D&C 132), and threatened to destroy Emma if she didn't abide by her husband's adultery. (D&C 132:54, 64) Blasphemy - Mocking Jesus Christ and saying that Christ is a created being the brother of Satan. Mocking God the Father and saying he practices polygamy and one of his wives is your mother in the pre-existence. Lying - Christ requires 10% of your income, a worthiness interview, confession of sins to a bishop, a temple recommend, an Endowment Ceremony, put on Lucifer's power and priesthoods, learn secret grips, tokens, signs, handshakes, and passwords, make a blood oath, get married, do temple work, etc. Yes. You will be judged by these works. Like a criminal, you won't be judged on all the good things you have done but on all the wrong things you have done.
They say that the Bible goes hand in hand with the Bible so I said since I don’t go by the book of mormon and we have the Bible in common then we can use that. I made them define everything. Their version of God was he was an exalted man. I said the bible says from everlasting to everlasting thou art God, and I the Lord change not, therefore you sons of Jacob are not consumed. I made them define everything because in the video the godmakers they said mormons use the same terminology but they define it different.
so you go to learn about a religion by watching "the godmakers" why don't you at least go to their official website to find out what they actually believe?
The standard of truth has been erected. No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the great Jehovah shall say the work is done. -Joseph Smith, 1842 ‐------------------------------------------------------- I absolutely love The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I bear witness that the true doctrine of Jesus Christ has been restored.
So you’re saying Mormonism is bad but encourage people to watch the Chosen where Dallas Jenkins calls Mormons his brothers and sisters in Christ… this doesn’t add up…
so you are not my brother in Christ? I bet you if we met and had lunch you would feel differently, but I guess that is you prerogative I love Jesus as much as you do- no matter how much you say it is a different Jesus, it doesn't make it so
@@TheHappyNarwhals Which Jesus Christ do you love? The LDS Jesus, who is a created being the brother of Satan or the biblical Jesus, who is God in the flesh? When you say that Jesus's death on the cross was not sufficient to pay the penalty for your sins and that everyone must believe the Book of Mormon is true, believe that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, tithe, go through a worthiness interview, get a temple recommend, go through an Endowment Ceremony, put on Lucifer's power and priesthoods, learn secret grips, tokens, signs, handshakes, and passwords, get married, do temple work, etc., then you don't love Jesus. Jesus Christ never taught those things. Never.
One of the biggest blasphemies for me is saying God was once a man like us that ascended to godhood. They believe one day they can be gods too. That’s exactly what Satan believes, Satan wants to usurp God. And the fact that they consider Jesus and Satan spirit brothers is making Satan equal with Jesus and God. Don’t get me started on how this thinking (along with secret handshakes to get into heaven) is related to Joseph Smith being a Freemason.
Lilteepot: "One of the biggest blasphemies for me is saying God was once a man like us that ascended to godhood." The only problem with that criticism is that we members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints do not believe that, and are not taught that. I have been a member for 46 years. We members believe we are the Spirit children of our Heavenly Father. Hebrews 12:9 (AKJV) "Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?" "Jesus and Satan spirit brothers is making Satan equal with Jesus and God." No, it does not! Revelation 12:7 (AKJV) "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Isaiah 14:12 (AKJV) How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the amost High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit."

We have a unique religion. Be Proud of it. For others who are reading this, look up the LDS Hymn "If you Could Hie to Kolob." It's a very beautiful hymn. And, so what if we believe God was once a man? Eternity is a long, long time. What do you think YOU will be doing for Eternity? In Mormonism you get to progress Eternally. You get to grow, and learn always. You change and become better and better over time. After a long Eternity of becoming Better and Better and progressing and improving constantly you become good enough to graduate. So you get your own planet. What's wrong with that?

eclipse-sh1qmZ3mOtcua: “David Burns Why are you misrepresenting our beliefs?” “For some reason, it has become fashionable for members of the Church to think they are defending the Church by going around denying this DOCTRINE.” I do not believe you know what the Doctrine is. Have you ever even heard of the Standard Works of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? I would direct you to Doctrine & Covenants/Introduction/paragraph #3: “The book of Doctrine and Covenants is one of the standard works of the Church in company with the Holy Bible, the Book of Mormon, and the Pearl of Great Price.” I would ask you where the King Follet Sermon (aka a Discourse) is found in the Standard Works. “A full, verbatim account of the speech does not exist, but notes exist, taken contemporaneously, by Thomas Bullock (using a type of personal shorthand), William Clayton (writing in longhand), and Willard Richards (taking "minute"-style notes of major elements of the speech).[3] Wilford Woodruff also took extensive contemporaneous notes and transferred the notes to his journal with editorializations, but his original notes were not preserved.[3] One author (Searle) estimates that the surviving notes of the sermon contain roughly 30% of the words of the actual address, but that together, they are likely nearly topically complete.[4]” [Wikipedia/King Follett discourse/Text] What did Joseph Smith, Jr. say about the final estate of those who inherited exaltation in the Celestial Kingdom? Doctrine & Covenants 132:20 “Then shall they be gods, because they have no end; therefore shall they be from everlasting to everlasting, because they continue; then shall they be above all, because all things are subject unto them. Then shall they be gods, because they have all power, and the angels are subject unto them.” This is consistent with Biblical teachings. Psalm 82:6 (AKJV) “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.” John 10:34 (AKJV) “Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?” Hebrews 12:9 (AKJV) “Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?” “Dallin H. Oaks explains: "Revelations from God ... are not constant. We believe in continuing revelation, not continuous revelation. We are often left to work out problems without the dictation or specific direction of the Spirit."[14] Thus, the current prophet can clarify, correct or change any previous teachings.[15] However, once a doctrine has been accepted by the church by "common consent", it becomes part of the standard works, and then takes precedence over any other revelation.[16] Members of the LDS church only consider themselves bound by doctrine found in the standard works.[17]” [Wikipedia/Revelation in Mormonism/Inspired vs. infallible.]
The problem is, folks not taking the scriptures literally and leaving the audience alone. Tribulation has a purpose and that is to redeem the nation of ISRAEL. Jesus came once as a child in His first coming, He then died, rose again and tells Mary touch me not for i have not yet ascended to my Father. He then Ascends and then returns again where He allows Thomas to put his hands in His hands and side... And He remained here 40 days before ascending again. So too, will He descend to the clouds to take His sheep home .. they will hear His voice and follow Him to meet in the air. He will then take us back to the Fathers House where He went to prepare a place for us. Once all nations gather to the Valley of Jehosaphat to attack His Earthly chosen people, He will descend again and ride back to Earth with the Army of the Church behind Him where He will trample down a great winepress and where the Church will gather up the wheat and tare with Him before setting up a 1000 year millennial Kingdom on this present Earth. 1 Corinthians 15:50-53 tells us flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. This corruption must put on incorruption and this mortal must put on immortality.. this is what is necessary to go to the Fathers House where Jesus currently is, however during the 1000 year millennial Kingdom where Christ will rule as King (Zechariah 12-14) there will be flesh and blood.. they will be born and die. And they will be required to cleanse themselves before entering to gather for the Feast of Tabernacles year after year that they will be required to do.. Ezekiel 38-40. There is a very distinct difference in the scriptures between the rapture and the return. ... He IS COMING
There are 3 people groups by the end of it all... The Church, seen in Revelation 5:9-11 (a fulfillment of Prophecy) the resurrected Trib Saint Revelation 20:4 (two people groups in that scripture alone, those on Thrones given authority to judge AND those who are Resurrected) and the wheat and the tare, those trampled down in the winepress and those who live in human form and are left who will enter into a millennial Kingdom... Including the 144k who are all Virgin, Hebrew, Males. Understanding the timing of the Revelation of Jesus Christ (a revealing of something once hidden) is key to knowing that Paul had no knowledge of the Trumpets In that Book. John wrote Revelation about 25 years AFTER the destruction of Israel by the Romans. There was a resurrection after Christ Rose from the dead, many came out of their graves and APPEARED unto many. Thus there have been resurrections, the first resurrection in Revelation 20:4 (Again a revealing of things once hidden) is then the first in a new dispensation of time... Namely the Millennial Kingdom, a resurrection we too will preside over
There's no dunking going on here. Aside from a few unimportant details, everything he says about Mormonism is accurate. By the way, to "dunk on" someone is to display your own superior skill or knowledge with the intent to show off. It doesn't mean what you seem to think it means.
This interview is very deceitful. The question being asked at 6:38 was whether the mormons followed the traditional Christ. In which the response is that Mormons follow the revealed Christ. That messaging has not changed. The Church has not rebranded to the traditional but is sharing about the restored Christ. Either the church of Jesus Christ are correct in that the rest of the christian world does not have the correct understanding who Christ is or that they are absolutely wrong. It is clear that your stance is that they are dead wrong but to say that means they do not believe in a Christ is decietful. It would be more fair to say they have a Mormon Christ.
Anita Goodcock has great testimony about this. So much great insight. Her videos are kind of hard to find and I'm not sure I got the spelling right. Ask your bible group the next chance you get, I'm sure someone will know about her story. Shalom! 🕊️
I don't think any LDS would accept what you are saying simply because of the title of your video. As a Biblical Christian who, like you, I would not use that word Satanic. Is there another word that you could use that may also get their attention in a better view and still say what you mean to say, like " the truth of mormonism vs biblical christianity." Using "Satanic" in the title may deter so many of them from watching and learning. That being said I do find this video educational and very helpful in understanding more about their church. and I thank you for this.
I understand what you mean. However, I have come to believe that the anti-Christ spirit rules this religion, and many others. In this case, it is Satanic.
@@TimothyBerman Not everyone is like that though. There are many who are deceived into believing all of this and they are guilted into following in line. I have learned that from watching videos of people who have left and instead of going into Christianity they fall into Atheism. So the gospel is so important and if the title is offensive then they are not going to watch this video because they are taught and told not to watch anything that looks to be "anti-mormon". Paul says that in all things we need to show the truth in love no matter what the person is like.
27:36 2nd Corinthians 12:2 Paul is actually not the one caught up to the third heaven. He says he knew a guy who was. And he says he knew a guy who went to paradise and heard unspeakable things not lawful to be uttered. Idk if he is talking about the same guy or not.
To all Mormons (Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) who happen to be watching for one reason or another: consider reading or watching "The Canker of Contention" by Russell m. Nelson from 1989 General Conference. To all Christian Cousins reading: consider 1 Timothy 6:3-5 (particularly 5) "from such withdraw thyself." If there's something that we may contend on, the Lord seems to prefer that we withdraw if we can't interact in an edifying manner.
22:25 this is also a misunderstanding of our theology. Book of Abraham chapter 3 explains that our spirits are eternal. So Jesus is uncreated, and we are also uncreated as well. Jesus is the father of our creation in as much as he created the heavens and earth under the direction of the Father, and is therefore the father of our physical creation. But not spiritual. That comes with a change of heart or spiritual rebirth, or “baptism of the spirit”
As an active member for 65 yrs I think casting doubt on the Bible is the worst thing Mormonism does. I have learned more about Jesus and the gospel in the last few yrs going to a little Bible church than I learned all my life.
Forgive me if I'm skeptical that you've been active for 65 years and not learned about the bible. We have rotated through the scriptures for decades in sunday school, learning old and new testaments. If you didn't pay attention in sunday school, or do your own study, that's totally on you. We don't 'cast doubt' on the bible. We simply say it needs translated correctly, which such a benign, accurate statement that I'm baffled these types take issue with it. Do they think the Millenial's Bible is translated correctly? Is it the same as the KJV?
@@markstenquist2315 The Bible contradicts the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the later teachings of Joseph Smith. @@Elizabeth-rk3do That's my point exactly - the bible needs translated correctly, and more sources help it get better. The BoM clarifies the bible. If there seem to be contradictions, I take the BoM as the leading point of view.
First off, Calling us Satanic and bringing up Hitler Is crass, disingenuous, and underhanded... Thanks for motivating David Boice and David Alexander to find the light of Jesus
@@StarLander6 yes they were calling the mormon church satanic and their belieifs also and they were wrong being different then what you belieieve does not make satanic
I absolutely love that this video is the reason why Dave Boice from 52 churches in 52 weeks got baptized. Even when people try to tear down other people's faith, the strong still triumph through.
And now, my sons, remember, REMEMBER that it is upon the rock of OUR REDEEMER, who is CHRIST, the Son of God, that ye must BUILD YOUR FOUNDATION; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they CANNOT FALL.
At around 22:26: Yes, we mormons believe there is god the father, and God the son- 2 very distinct personages- and the Bible proves it. What did Jesus himself say to Mary, at the tomb? "Touch me not, for I have not yet ascended to my father, and to your father; and to my god, and your god". Proving that we have the very same father of our spirit, as jesus does; and that he worships the very same god that we do- which statement makes us literal brothers and sisters to Jesus, in our spiritual creation, or in our spiritual bodies, when we were first created, in what is known as the pre-existence. What is so hard to understand about that teaching, or displeasing?
In terms of what he says about works, it's important to note that in Christianity salvation isn't achieved by works, it is a free gift of God by faith through grace. But once saved we are called to do good works. One of the biggest passages that points this out is the great commission which says, "go into all the world making disciples of all men, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit". Works has its place in Christianity, it's just not something that is required for salvation and forgiveness.
Yes, after we are saved, we are now rooted in Christ. So, we are able to bear good fruit in the form of good works. Before we are saved, we are technically incapable of doing good works because we aren’t rooted in Christ.
@Steve_P_B you are aware that Paul also says we are saved by Hope in Romans 8:24-27; and that we are also saved by reconciliation Romans 5:10, and that we are saved by the preaching of the Gospel 1 Corinthians 1:21. So, tell me again how Sola Gratia and Sola Fide are Biblical? Or is Paul confused and ignorant of what he is teaching? Or are you just plain illiterate of how to properly interpret and understand scripture?
@@TimothyBerman You are missing the point, hope is not works, salvation is not by works, but works comes as a product of being saved. Read Ephesians 2 Ephesians 2:8-10 [8] For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God- [9] not the result of works, so that no one may boast. [10] For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life. We are saved by grace through faith, but once saved we are called to good works As for preaching, that's not what 1 Corinthians 1:21 says at all 1 Corinthians 1:21 NRSV [21] For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, God decided, through the foolishness of our proclamation, to save those who believe. We are not saved through us preaching but rather others are saved because we share the gospel with them through preaching and they believe in the gospel.
I am not at all missing the point because, unlike you relying on typical Eisegesis interpretation and talking points, I understand exactly what Paul is talking about here. He is not talking about grace only and faith only that is a byproduct and doctrinal introduction from the Protestant Reformation.
I live in an even more Mormon place than SLC. I am in SE Idaho. I am just minutes from Rexburg and this is a good video. For a few years now I have had a near impossible time witnessing to them. They are adapting Christin lingo into their own beliefs. But many times they mean something different. So be careful. I can state something they very much used to believe and not they will get mad and say "don't tell me what I believe " and usually shuts down discussions. So this gentleman is correct is saying to ask what they believe on different subjects. I knew they changed thier google maps listing to crosses already. Even something as simple as tithes is complex with them. (They believe they have Levites) So to witness to them you need to work hard at building a trusting relationship with them and over time you can pick little things apart in thier beliefs. But do it with love, if you attack thier religion, they are done talking to you.
This vid just makes me angry. Im an LDS and no ones ever called me satanic until now 😢 Even tho this vid has made me angry and much of the neg comments abt LDS faith that has inspired. After reading and hearing your understanding of the Mormon faith, I now know that I am in the true and right faith of a loving Heavenly Father, and His son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost who does inspire feelings of belonging to a beaitiful gospel. I am a follower of Jesus Christ who loves to do good works in life, so that makes me a christian. If i chose to do evil and bad actions, then id be a follower of satan and by all means you can then call me satanic but this is not the case. We arnt been taught to be evil or bad or else id be living a life of sadness. Im loving life, especially as a LDS member. Remove the satanic and Hitler comment if you truly love us as you say you do
They disagree with the Bible. Galatians 1:8-9 KJV “But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.” The Book of Mormon is a gospel contrary to the Bible. You cannot believe both at the same time.
DanA.-jo4sg: Doctrine & Covenants/Official Declaration 1: "The Bible and the Book of Mormon teach that monogamy is God’s standard for marriage unless He declares otherwise (see 2 Samuel 12:7-8 and Jacob 2:27, 30). Following a revelation to Joseph Smith, the practice of plural marriage was instituted among Church members in the early 1840s (see section 132). From the 1860s to the 1880s, the United States government passed laws to make this religious practice illegal. These laws were eventually upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court. After receiving revelation, President Wilford Woodruff issued the following Manifesto, which was accepted by the Church as authoritative and binding on October 6, 1890. This led to the end of the practice of plural marriage in the Church." Want to know what the LDS believe? Then learn their doctrine/scripture!
PraisingWithFriends: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints never practiced Polygamy. They did practice plural wives (Polygyny) as was practiced by Abraham, Israel (Jacob), David, and Solomon in the Old Testament until October 6, 1890. "A man can be sealed to multiple women in the temple." In fact, I was sealed to my wife and two daughters in the Temple." My wife in marriage and two daughters as family members! You nonmembers only think that sealing means marriage, but it also applies to family members. Polyandry is considered to be adultery under the doctrine of plural wives. Doctrine & Covenants 132:43 "And if her husband be with another woman, and he was under a avow, he hath broken his vow and hath committed adultery. 61 And again, as pertaining to the law of the priesthood-if any man espouse a virgin, and desire to espouse another, and the first give her consent, and if he espouse the second, and they are virgins, and have vowed to no other man, then is he justified; he cannot commit adultery for they are given unto him; for he cannot commit adultery with that that belongeth unto him and to no one else."
Hey everyone, just wanted to clear something up. Gordon B. Hinckley never said Mormons aren’t Christians on '60 Minutes.' What he did talk about was how the LDS Church is definitely Christian but with some beliefs that are different from mainstream Christianity. It’s easy to get mixed up with all the info out there, but he really did emphasize their Christian beliefs in that interview!
wyattearpswoman838: “How can it be Christian when there are upside-down stars on the little round windows at the top of the temple?” “The pentagram was used in ancient times as a Christian symbol for the five senses,[14] or of the five wounds of Christ.” [Wikipedia/Western symbolism/Middle Ages] “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is theorized to have begun using both upright and inverted five-pointed stars in Temple architecture, dating from the Nauvoo Illinois Temple dedicated on 30 April 1846.[30] Other temples decorated with five-pointed stars in both orientations include the Salt Lake Temple and the Logan Utah Temple. These usages come from the symbolism found in Revelation chapter 12: "And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars."[31] [Wikipedia/Pentagram/ Use in new religious movements/ The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints] Revelation 12:1 (AKJV) “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.”
I have been a Mormon for 16 years now, and before, I never really saw anything false, suspicious, or wrong about the teachings of Mormonism, until the Holy Spirit began to do a tremendous and wonderful work in me and through me by revealing the infallible Word Of GOD. Yes, I have always known the Holy Bible to be the only source of inspiration and revelation, and when I got to study both the Bible and the Book Of Mormon, I saw that the Book Of Mormon does contradict what the Bible says, and recently I feel like the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints is not the church built on the rock, being Jesus Christ because the teachings are not in line with the true gospel of Jesus Christ that is in the Bible, So to Pastor Allen and Pastor Bryan, I am truly thankful for this episode, and I am going to watch the "Unveling Mormonism" podcast because I want to be set free from Mormonism.
God bless you! 🙏🏾 John 10:27-29 My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they follow me, And I give unto them eternal life and they shall never perish neither shall any man pluck them out of my Father's hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. ❤
@@Elizabeth-rk3do May GOD bless you too, I am truly thankful for the Bible scripture that have quoted. 21:27 Show me where God the Father has multi wives. Dont recycle old stuff that has no basis. I don't believe anywhere is it written God the Father has multiple wives. Does he? Maybe. Does he have only one? Maybe. We dont know. This is another example of taking a piece of teaching here and a piece of teaching there and mashing them together for a shock factor when in reality this is not taught!
I was LDS for 30+ years, away from it then for 30+ years. Here is what I find so baffling about it; Those who really follow it, who strive to do the things the church encourages them to do, seem to be the most godly, christlike, spirit filled people I know, more than the "mainstream" Christians I am acquainted with. I am mystified by this because so much of Mormonism seems completely impossible to me yet I will never be convinced that these people are Satanic. They seem to know Christ and have a real and deep relationship with him and are possessed of the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts like spiritual guidance and protective inspiration, not to mention abundant material blessings and love for one another. It leaves me dumbfounded.
Latter-day Saints are not satanic. The worship of an exalted man from another planet that had to work his way to Godhood, lives near a star named Kolob, practices polygamy, damns people who deny the eternal principle of polygamy (D&C 132), and even threatened to destroy Emma if she didn't abide by her husband's adultery (D&C 132:54, 64), is called idolatry. Behind every idol is a demon. In order to get into heaven, you need to know the Christ of the Bible. The Christ of the Bible claimed to be God. Christ was crucified because he claimed to be God. It was called blasphemy and punishable by death. The LDS Christ is a created being the brother of Satan. There is no evidence for his existence. So, Latter-day Saints have no forgiveness of sins and no hope of heaven.😔
@@Elizabeth-rk3doSo, where is scripture was Satan shown that he was not created by God the Father? If Satan (being a spirit) was created by God like you as a spirit, mean that Satan is believed to be your spiritual brother? And since Jesus is believed to be the only begotten of the Father in the flesh that means spiritually he has spiritual brothers and sisters such as yourself and such as Satan.
You know something, Jesus wasn’t accepted amongst his Jewish brothers and sisters. If you’re Mormon (member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints), don’t worry about not being accepted by these Christians. Jesus Christ understands what you are going through ❤️
This video is just one of thousands, if not more that have exposed the error of many false religions, LDS is but one of those. I believe the following: Sola scriptura (Latin for 'by scripture alone') is a Christian theological doctrine held by most Protestant Christian denominations. Any other Book does an injustice to Him and those who seek Him. Tradition and what church you attend or building you have services in fall far short of the inspired Holy Bible. There's a difference between inspired by God and Man's religion.
Jack N. McDickleday is my favorite youtuber making videos on this exact subject. So much great insight. His videos are kind of hard to find and I'm not sure I got the spelling right. Ask your bible group the next chance you get, I'm sure someone will know about him. Shalom! 🕊️
@@BFOJ0000 Sola scriptura robs you of the organisation that Jesus was head of. He called apostles. he gave them authority. Where does one who relies Soley on the bible get their authority ??? Bible is clear no man can take on the authority of god themselves. Men who tried to steady the ark of the covenant with no authority died. Jesus went to John the baptist to be baptised as he held the keys of baptism and the aaronic priesthood. Mans religion is one without his authority therefore if you base your authority on mans interpretation of scripture with no living prophet, no priesthood then who is really following the interpretations of man?

Are you now reconsidering Dallas Jenkins’ comment that we love the same Jesus as the Mormons’ Jesus? And are you only now putting this video out because of the LDS/Chosen issue? It’s difficult to know where you stand in light of your recent Dallas video.
I think it's fantastic that THIS video was the tipping point of one influential man's decision to set a date to be baptized LDS. I guess it didn't have the impact you thought it would.
Yeshua is the only Way the Truth and the Life! Joseph smith failed the test as an prophet..we Christians only want to tell Mormons the truth. May the wonderful Lord Yeshua open their (Mormons) eyes and save them. God bless u❤️
@lxlo777 blah... blah... blah. A Christian is anyone, yes anyone, who proclaims that Jesus is the prophesied Redeemer. That's it. From there, there are many roads and paths a Christian may take. Ice cream is ice cream... just because you don't like Rocky Road or Cookies and Cream doesn't mean it's not ice cream. Plenty of people love pineapple on pizza.... even though some people think it is pizza blasphemy.🤣 Others think deep dish isn't pizza... but it is still pizza, if you like it or not. Same goes with LDS people. They are, in fact Christians. His name is on every one of their buildings. They use his name in every prayer, etc. Same goes for any other Christian faith that believes Jesus is the In fact, the Savior. I daresay some are more "Christian " than most contemporary Christians out there. Your opinion doesn't change that. The prophet "test" a made.up interpretation of various scripture verses taken out of context. And don't even me started on those taking the Bible literally... here's a newsflash: God didn't write the Bible. Jesus didn't either. The Bible is a curated compilation of writings of men. Flawed human beings recounting their experiences. Were so.e of them hem inspired by God? Sure. Were they literally speaking for him? No. Also, the Bible as we have it today was compiled by Catholic monks who picked and chose writings that fit their agenda and beliefs at the time... many hundreds of years removed from the events discussed. They left out a lot of valuable writings because they didn't like them. They left strawberry ice cream off the menu because they didn't like strawberries. Also, the order of the books im the modern Bible has no relevance to the order in which the events occurred. So when someone says, "The Bible.says...".No, it doesn't. All that to say I think you miss the hilarious irony of how a video intended to bash a Christian faith ended up solidifying a man's decision to join it. Because when insecure "Christians" try to bash other Christians to make themselves feel better about themselves, they are so blind to the fact that they are violating the tenants of a faith they claim to adhere to. Also, not even Jesus.was perfect... gasp. He was a human man with.human emotions and made human mistakes. Just like everyone who wrote about their experiences with him. We even have accounts of him losing his temper. Imagine that. 🤔 Your opinions and experiences are yours. It doesn't make them true for everyone. Especially if your flavor of Christianity is a scoop of mint.garlic and maple chocolate coffee ice cream with apples cherries. It may sound disgusting to you, but it's still ice cream.
GOOOD timing, In light of a few atrocious child abuse/murder cases by Mormon women in the news, I wanted to revisit this cult and listen to the false ideologies of these women that perpetrate these crimes! Thank you for this interview!
You should know that's sensationalized fake news. Those cases have nothing to do with the church. There are more Latter-day Saints than Jews (17 million), just by pure random chance some of them are going to end up being criminals. When you actually look at demographic data, Latter-day Saints are the happiest, most well adjusted, most generous, and least criminally inclined of all christian groups. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches against murder and abuse in all forms, you are never less of a disciple of Christ than when you are abusing your fellow children of God. To quote the Book of Mormon "When you are in the service of your fellow beings, you are only in the service of your God."
Not an active Mormon here, never really practiced it myself, honestly... I have not read the Book of mormon actually. I just gotta say this, though, there have been many atrocious acts done by many of ppl from all religions, theists and secular. Get off your high horse; by your comment I can tell you feel yourself to be superiorin your beliefs. There are good and bad ppl in all things, all walks of life. As a whole most "Mormons" I know are highly rational, kind and generous beings. One thing I have always known about them is that they do believe in Jesus Christ (I always heard more about Christ than I did of Joseph Smith), and I have always thought of them as Christian cause that is what I was raised to know them as. They have a strong sense of family and service, and that is admirable. This is a horrid thing on the right and now I see "Christians," you all have to be right and better than the others... what matter in the end is our relationship with Christ, thats what I understand. Only thing I really remember of Joseph Smith was that he was trying to find out which Christian chirch was the "true" church, a question that resonates with me for sure... there are so many and what are the differences. Hmm.
Satan is a fallen Angel so how can he be our brother? If Jesus and Satan were our brother we should love Satan and he should be able to repent., but that is not the case… I hope the scales fall off their eyes. Satan has them hostage. Share the Truth in love Christian soldiers.
Yes but Angels are not Humans or Spirits they are on a different level. If Satan is an angel and he is our brother, that would make us angels as well. Unreal.
Hi, Latter-Day Saint here. I can explain what we believe about that. We believe that Jesus and Satan are both our brothers, and that we all lived with God before we came to Earth. God told us about His plan for us to come to Earth to gain physical bodies and experience. Satan tried to usurp Jesus Christ’s role in the plan, was denied, and rebelled against God. He chose to reject God while in His very presence, committing the unforgivable sin. There is no repentance from that. He is damned eternally based on his own choices. And for angels, we do believe that they are people in a different state of existence, as when Moses appeared to Christ and the apostles in the Mount of Transfiguration. Normally we consider the word “angel” to be a servant of God who has died and not been resurrected yet, but angel can be used in a broader context to included people who have been resurrected or translated, and sometimes people who weren’t born yet appeared as angels. But they are all people, all children of God the way we are.
Jesus is our elder brother, in the sense that Jesus Christ is a man. It's in the New Testament. (They will bring this up.) Jesus Christ was also God in the flesh.
@emiliegossage923 Thanks. According to the Bible, God created angels first. Job 38:1-7 Angels are men, do not procreate, and are incorporeal. They are spirits. They are messengers of God. Satan and his followers sinned once and were immediately sentenced to eternal torment in hell. Jesus Christ never died on the cross for angels/demons. (Some demons sinned so egregiously in the days of Noah that they were immediately imprisoned. I Peter 3:19-20. Jesus declared his victory over them. They never repented.) Unlike angels, human beings are made in the image of God. Of course, God the Father is invisible and a spirit. I Timothy 1:17; Colossians 1:15; Hebrews 11:27; We are made in the image of God in the sense that we can commune with our Creator . We are made in the image of God mentally, morally, and socially.
No angel is supposed to be our brother. That was not and is not God’s design and purpose for angels. We do not fellowship with them. We do not worship with them. They have roles defined by God and our relationship with any of them, let alone one called Satan, are not the same as our relationship with fellow disciples.
Hey dude just a heads up, this title will insult a lot of LDS ppl. I was raised Jack-mormon, never really read the Book of Mormon... but I know many, enough, that this is insulting to me. I am pulled towards Christianity, I know it is true, and the pull I have isn't excluding the LDS. I have the strong impression that it is our relationship with Christ that will matter most. This whole "SATANIC" and all that fire, hell and damnation business drive ppl away, it does not pull us in.
@jlewis8145 this is not a good point. Loving people does not mean sugar coating the truth or appeasing them. People claiming that the truth "pushes them away" are not telling the truth nor do they speak from any kind of pragmatic experience. Fact is some people will simply use any excuse, like claiming offense, in order to psychologically justify to themselves why they don't listen
mormonism is another gospel, teaches another jesus, another God, which is not the God of the bible...for which the mormon prophet taught "was once a man like us" ? Begs the question, where did God get his physical body from?
I can appreciate this view however it's also fair to look at it from the perspective that anything that isn't from God is demonic. Satan comes as an angel of light. The LDS church looks like a glimmer of beautiful hope to those on the inside and out but the things that are taught widely go against God's word. Satan "wins". Satan has deceived millions of people.
I'm in Canada and found myself in Alberta which is right above the area of Utah. It's beautiful here in comparison to where I am from (Ontario near NY). The sun shines 333 days of the year. There are many mormons here. I was just approached by one the other day who said the Mormon church has done great things for her family which is what many Catholics tell me as well. So even though they may not fully know Jesus they love being Mormon. I hope to continue my way across this great land and make my way into the states one day and speak to the many people. God' love must be shared. God Bless.
40:48 we believe the Bible because the Book of Mormon supports it as far as the covenant that God made with Israel and the testimony of the apostles concerning Jesus Christ. From 1 nephi 13: “And it came to pass that I, Nephi, beheld that they did prosper in the land; and I beheld a book, and it was carried forth among them. 21 And the angel said unto me: Knowest thou the meaning of the book? 22 And I said unto him: I know not. 23 And he said: Behold it proceedeth out of the mouth of a Jew. And I, Nephi, beheld it; and he said unto me: The book that thou beholdest is a record of the Jews, which contains the covenants of the Lord, which he hath made unto the house of Israel; and it also containeth many of the prophecies of the holy prophets; and it is a record like unto the engravings which are upon the plates of brass, save there are not so many; nevertheless, they contain the covenants of the Lord, which he hath made unto the house of Israel; wherefore, they are of great worth unto the Gentiles.” And again a revelation from God to Joseph Smith in D&C 10: “52 And now, behold, according to their faith in their prayers will I bring this part of my gospel to the knowledge of my people. Behold, I do not bring it to destroy that which they have received, but to build it up. 53 And for this cause have I said: If this generation harden not their hearts, I will establish my church among them. 54 Now I do not say this to destroy my church, but I say this to build up my church”
I always ask my Mormon friends about Christ as a created being. I ask them how a piece of fallen creation can redeem the whole. If Christ is not THE creator how can he redeem creation? If he is just us then how does his sacrifice in the cross work?
Jesus lived a perfect life, that's how he was able to atone for all of us. He was not fallen, he just lived in a fallen world for a time. Just like the lambs that were used as a sacrifice under the law of Moses to represent Jesus were "without spot", so too, was Jesus without spot.
@MRRANDOMZ11 The Creator can not be part of the creation. The person who makes a cake can not be part of the cake. The person who builds a car must exist independently and outside of the car. The person who builds a house must exist independently and outside of the house. Whoever created the universe must exist independently and outside of the universe. ✨️ God did not come from another planet. God doesn't live near a star named Kolob. God doesn't practice polygamy.
@Elizabeth-rk3do I legit built my own house and I live in it just fine. Sorry, but that argument makes zero sense to me. You don't think God the Father had a hand in making our world? So he has to just sit it out? Nah, he's involved in everything we do just like Jesus. To say otherwise puts a limit on God's capability
@@LajRa5 Drywall and stucco can't build a house. Only someone who exists independently of the house can build the house. God can not possibly be a human being. You can not even make a blade of grass out of nothing or speak a pizza into existence. You are vastly inferior to your Creator. No Latter-day Saint will ever become a god.
With all due respect, that was not the purpose of that interview. It was to highlight what I believe is a biblical representation of the life of Jesus which is The Chosen. It wasn’t to debate Mormon beliefs.
Revelation 22 v 18-19 says paraphrased "If anyone adds or takes away from the prophecies of this book they will be cursed" I believe this speaks of the entire bible, not just the Book of Revelation. That is exactly what all the cults do.
"Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you." Deuteronomy 4:2 With that logic; anything after Deuteronomy is 'adding' also.
@@roygonzalez2478 Deuteronomy 4:2 was specific to the commands that God was giving to them at that time. The same holds true for Revelation. The point is that when you make up a religion and say that Jesus Christ now requires everyone to believe that the Book of Mormon is true, believe that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, go through a worthiness interview, confess sins to a bishop (Only God can forgive sins), earn forgiveness (forgiveness is free), get a temple recommend, go through an Endowment Ceremony, put on Lucifer's power and priesthoods, learn secret grips, tokens, signs, handshakes, and passwords, take blood oaths, get married (No one will be married in heaven.), etc., you are adding to Holy Scripture. I can't imagine Jesus Christ telling the blind man, "That will be 10% of your income." Do you recall Jesus Christ requiring 10% of the income of the lepers, the woman at the well, the demon possessed man, those raised from the dead, the thief on the cross........?
So first of all, when Revelations was written the New Testament as we have it today did not exist, and there is agreement among most Protestant ministers that First and Second John were written after the Book of Revelations. The New Testament in its final form was not accpted untill the 5th century A.D The warning is only about the Book of Revelations by itself, not the entire Bible. The First century Christians did not have what we have today. They possessed a few scattered copies of the Gospels and maybe some of the Letters of Paul, but that is all they had to work with, and they were fortunate to have even that much.
MORMON’S IMPOSSIBLE GOSPEL Moroni 10:32 “IF you deny yourselves of ALL ungodliness… THEN is his grace sufficient for you.” Did you notice the IF / THEN statement? That’s a conditional statement. So - how much ungodliness do you need to get rid of? Some? Most of? 60%? Moroni 10:32 states you need to deny “ALL” ungodliness. What are you if you get rid of ALL ungodliness? Perfect. Now, we know it’s impossible to be perfect without grace - and yet, according to this scripture grace doesn’t start until AFTER you are perfect. This means grace is unattainable for Mormons. - The Book of Mormon has other passages which support this: 2 Nephi 25:23 “We are saved by grace, AFTER all we can do.” When do you get the grace? Have you done all that you can do? Have you ever had 1 day in your whole life where you did all you could do? You couldn’t have prayed another minute? So - can anyone ever be saved??? - Mormon scripture is consistent about this: Alma 11:37 “And I say unto you again, that he cannot save them in their sins. For I cannot deny his word, and ye have said no unclean thing can inherit the kingdom of heaven. Therefore how can you be saved except you enter the kingdom of heaven? Therefore you cannot be saved in your sins.” That’s like saying you’ve got to get out of the water before I’m going to save you from drowning. The Christian Jesus isn’t a swimming coach - He’s a lifeguard. If they say, “it just means do your best” - no: First Nephi 3:7 “And it came to pass that I nee-phi said unto my father , “I will go and do the things which the Lord has commanded. For I know that the Lord giveth no commandment unto the children of men save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commanded them.”” Is it possible for the Mormon god to give you a command you can’t keep? Did he tell you to deny yourself of ALL ungodliness? Did he tell you to do all you can do? Did he tell you you can’t be saved in your sins? If they say, I’m doing the best I can - then ask - does it say Do the best you can? So - can anyone be saved? Read the whole chapter of Alma 34. Which says you have to have repented of ALL sin before you die, otherwise you will be sealed to Satan. AND: a reminder: Moroni 10:32 “IF you deny yourselves of ALL ungodliness… THEN is his grace sufficient for you.” This is confirmed by: Doctrines and Covenants 82:7 “And now, verily I say unto you, I, the Lord, will not lay any sin to your charge; go your ways and sin no more; BUT UNTO THAT SOUL WHO SINNETH SHALL THE FORMER SINS RETURN, saith the Lord your God.” Doctrines and Covenants 82:9-10 “I give unto you directions how you may act before me, that it may turn to you for your salvation. I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; BUT WHEN YE DO NOT WHAT I SAY, YE HAVE NO PROMISE.“ Under those conditions - who can be saved??? --------- Moroni 10:32 “IF you deny yourselves of ALL ungodliness… THEN is his grace sufficient for you.” 2 Nephi 25:23 “We are saved by grace, AFTER all we can do.” ----------- Also: "Trying is not sufficient. Nor is repentance complete when one merely tries to abandon sin," Spencer Kimball 12th President of LDS Church), The Miracle of Forgiveness, p150 The book just quoted, ‘THE MIRACLE OF FORGIVENESS,’ by Spencer Kimball (12th President and Prophet of the LDS Church) is approved and recommended by multiple LDS leaders: Ezra Taft Benson (13th President of LDS Church) urged all church members "to read and reread President Spencer Kimball's book." (from ‘In His Steps’ 1988). LDS Church apostle Richard G. Scott called ‘The Miracle of Forgiveness’ a "masterly work" (‘Peace of Conscience and Peace of Mind, 2004) and “a superb guide.” (Finding Forgiveness, 1995).
@SpielbergMichael Read Matt 5:48 The Savior is asking you to deny yourselves of all ungodliness by this... "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Matt 5:48 We can only be perfect through the Savior & we can only deny ungodliness through him as well. It is two different ways of saying the same thing. Only the Savior was perfect, he would not ask us to do something that can not be done in Matt 5:48. "With God all things are possible." Matt 19
@@Rodney_tubeviewHello there friend, I’m afraid you have completely misunderstood the sermon on the Mount. That’s not necessarily your fault, there are bad translations, and also you could have been lead into the wrong understanding by bad teachers. When Jesus said: “Therefore you shall be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” Matthew 5:48 NASB2020 He was NOT saying you must be perfect, and must obey perfectly. In short, what the sermon on the Mount is actually saying is: God’s standard is far too high, and is sinful humans can never reach it - but thankfully there is a way to God through Jesus. In Matthew 5:48 Jesus is talking about what will happen in the future, not saying we have to obey perfectly to be saved. “For by one offering He has PERFECTED for all time those who are sanctified.” Hebrews 10:14 NASB2020 That’s why the New Testament is full of statements like these: “For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from works” Romans 3:28 “But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace.” Romans 11:6 “For it is by GRACE you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the GIFT of God- NOT BY WORKS” Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that NOT OF YOURSELVES; it is the gift of God, NOT OF WORKS, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV If I give you a gift, do you have to do anything after that to have it? ---- The Mormon Gospel is a different Gospel to the one given in the New Testament. The Mormon Gospel is a works based gospel - and, as I showed in my first comment, according to Mormon scriptures, you don’t get ANY grace until AFTER you have rid yourself perfectly of all sin and performed various works. I could literally quote dozens and dozens of New Testament verses which categorically contradict the Mormon works based (earn your own salvation) Gospel: “But to the one who does NOT work, but believes in Him who justifies the UNGODLY, his faith is credited as righteousness,” Romans 4:5 “But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy,” Titus 3:4-5 “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.” (of obedience or by your life of obedience, which is it?) Romans 5:8-10 “For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.” Romans 5:19
@@SpielbergMichael Wait Friend are you telling me that you have the original copy that Matthew wrote himself? You holding out on the one & only copy in the World directly from Apostle Matthew?! WHY?! You Must really not like the Apostle James. James speaks of Faith & Works in James chapter 1 & 2. You did not quote him once. We are save by the Free Gift of Grace & you gave many examples quotes on Grace, Thanks. James speaks on how Faith in God will lead us to do Faithful Deeds for God. "So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone." (James 2: 24) James does let us know that In the Lords Church aka Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we are Saved by Grace in Jame 4. Can you quote dozens of Verses in James an Apostle of the Lord & tell me that Faith alone is a requirement? Church of Jesus Christ of LDS are saved by Grace & we hear what the Savior said to the Disciples, “If you love me, obey my commandments."(John 14:15) James teaches that Faith and Works for God are on the same Good side of how to Follow the Savior.
@@Rodney_tubeview Dear friend, I will try to reply properly but it's difficult to in these brief comments. I would really love to sit down with you and chat - I'm sure you're a nice person. There's just so much I'd like to present to you. First of all, you wrote: "are you telling me that you have the original copy that Matthew wrote himself? You holding out on the one and only copy in the world directly from the Apostle Matthew?!" No, please read my comment again. I didn't say anything like that. I quoted the NASB2020 (which is widely considered the best literal word for word translation: "Therefore you **SHALL** be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Matthew 5:48 NASB2020 It's widely translated this way: "You **SHALL** be perfect, therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect." Matthew 5:48 Berean Literal Translation "Therefore you **SHALL** be perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Matthew 5:48 NKJV "Therefore you **SHALL** be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect." Matthew 5:48 NASB "You, therefore, **WILL** be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Matthew 5:48 AMP "Ye therefore **SHALL** be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Matthew 5:48 ASV "Ye therefore **SHALL** be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Matthew 5:48 ERV "You **WILL** be perfect, as your Father who in the heavens is perfect." Matthew 5:48 Literal Standard Version "Ye **SHALL** therefore be perfect, as your Father who is in the heavens is perfect." Matthew 5:48 Young's Literal Translation "Therefore you** SHALL** be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect." Matthew 5:48 World English Bible These are *LITERAL* translations of the Greek. Jesus is clearly NOT giving an order/instruction - no, He is giving a prediction of what He is going to do for us. All of New Testament Scripture supports this: Hebrews tells us that Jesus did it for us: "For by ONE offering He has **PERFECTED** for all time those who are sanctified." Hebrews 10:14 By you saying you perfect yourself, or help to perfect yourself, you are DENYING Jesus' ONE offering is good enough. You are denying Christ and saying you don't want His offering applied to you. "For as through one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the ONE the many will be made righteous." Romans 5:19 Humans don't make themselves righteous: Jesus (the ONE) does that for us! Sinful humans CAN'T do anything to prefect themselves - anything we try to do to save ourselves UNCLEAN to God: Isaiah 64:6 says our righteous deeds are FILTHY UNCLEAN RAGS to God In Philippians 3:8 the Apostle Paul said he counted all of his righteousness before he knew Christ as UNCLEAN DUNG/EXCREMENT. There is no 'good work' you can do BEFORE you are saved. Any good work you try to do may appear good to you, but to God it is UNCLEAN and unacceptable. ----------------------- Side note: even if you take other translations of Matthew 5:48, they still don't mean what you say it means: "But you are to be perfect, even as your Father is perfect." Matthew 5:48 NLT That can still be interpreted as a prediction of what is going to happen for us. "You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Matthew 5:48 ESV That can still be interpreted as, for example, a parent telling their child "You must have a school uniform to go to school - so therefore I will buy you one and provide you with one." -------------------------- Your comment suggests you think this interpretation of the sermon on the mount is strange or unique to me. I think as a Mormon you have just been sheltered in your Mormon 'bubble' and haven't heard the widely held Christian understanding. This is the interpretation widely taught/understood by most Christians - even in different denominations - for example Dr. Michael Brown (a Charismatic) teaches this, and so did R C Sproul (who was Reformed). ------------------- About the book of James - I love the book of James. I will send you another comment about James (because this comment is already very long). The book of James completely supports everything I have told you. You have a huge self0defeating problem because if your interpretation of James was true, it would mean there are hundreds of contradictions in the New Testament because the rest of the New Testament repeatedly clearly states salvation is NOT BY WORKS. But I have no problem because James doesn't contradict anything in the New Testament - and I'm afraid, just as you misunderstand the Sermon on the Mount, you also hugely misunderstand James.
It has taken me several days to listen to this all the way through, due to busyness on my part. I am from an area of California with a high Mormon population (not nearly as high as Utah, but pretty high). All my life, it was understood that Mormonism was a different religion than Christianity. Then, in the late 90's, when I was in community college, I had a lot of Mormon classmates and professors, and they all claimed to be Christian, and it totally confused me (I had come from a Christian high school, and later went to a Bible college) . That time at community college was my only "secular" education, and the indoctrination into Mormonism was the biggest culture shock--a lot more than the liberal or worldly stuff in the system. I was familiar with a lot of the info in this video, but it was still really interesting, and good reminders. Great presentation.
As an ex-mormon (25 years in mormonism), I can say that this video would be EXTREMELY offensive to any mormon. If you want to convert them, don't post a video titled "Why Mormonism is a SATANIC Perversion of Christianity." This will only build walls and reinforce their beliefs. I admit it is a good click-bait title, but will end up in less mormons joining "true" christianity. So if the purpose of this video is to convert mormons, it is doing the opposite. Being kind, above all else, will lead mormons out of mormonism. As a second note, there were several Mormon doctrine inaccuracies in this video. Don't get me wrong, Bryan knows a lot about mormonism, but the fact that he tells you "_____" is official mormon doctrine over what Mormons are taught/believe is astounding and naive. 36:44 "A lot of Mormons don't even fully understand what they believe, even some of the stuff I shared right now, Alan. There are probably some Mormon listeners saying 'that's not what we believe' so don't assume that your Mormon friend believes everything you even heard on this podcast. What I shared with you is official Mormon doctrine, but it just all comes out differently depending on their experience of Mormonsim" There are handbooks written like legal code explaining official church policies, doctrine, etc. Every fully committed mormon knows "Official Doctrine." Sure, nuanced mormons may pick and choose what doctrine they personally believe in, but they know their belief is different from "official doctrine."
If you know they don't like to be called mormon. Why keep calling them that. Also saying they are a satanic pervision is not a good way to minister to anyone.
michaeldoane4629: I do not object to being called a Mormon. What we members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints object to is being called the Mormon Church because that is not the correct name!
I’m a proud and grateful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It’s impossible to respond with my thoughts and feelings on everything this video covered, but I determined as a 14-year-old that I was willing to leave the Church if I felt God wanted me to. I already knew at that time that Jesus Christ was my Savior since He filled my soul with peace when I asked for His forgiveness. He shall ever be my Lord and Redeemer, He is the source of all truth. I remember sincerely and mentally accepting the responsibility to tell my parents if God told me that He was not in the Mormon church. I lacked wisdom and asked God what I should do. I still remember as a 30 year old, now with an incredible wife and 2 amazing kids, what I felt when I asked Him. It was the same feelings when I asked for forgiveness and love from Jesus. It was the fruits of the Spirit of God that no devil could replicate. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has the restored gospel with all the fullness we are able to handle in these days. The priesthood of God has been restored to man on Earth. I have blessed my wife and children more with my faithfulness in my true covenants than I could do on my own. For I am weak, but God makes my weakness to be my strength. The deepest and most genuine parts of my soul wishes that all of you could enjoy the amazing blessings that I have seen reinforced by the Lord over and over and over again. My heart wants you to feel how I feel and love His full gospel as I do. Just as with any church in Christianity, just because people are leaving the Church of Jesus Christ, doesn’t make the message any less true. Same thing if someone is mistreated or has a bad pastor, that doesn’t make it untrue. I strive to love you all as Jesus does. I am not embarrassed or anxious to leave the Church. It’s been an incredible blessing and has enlightened my soul, most members are there because it is good and brings them closer to God. I hope this reaches someone that wants an honest perspective. All the best! I’m happy to answer individual questions (if I am able).
Do you know for sure, if you were to die today, that you have forgiveness of sins and eternal life? Have you done all that you can do? Have you denied yourself of all ungodliness?
@@jlewis8145Hi! I have faith that He is perfectly merciful and perfectly just. I strive to deny myself of all ungodliness (though as imperfect people, you and I can never completely do so) and I seek to follow His will according to scripture and as the Holy Ghost directs in my interactions with others. The Lord confirms to my heart that I’m on the right track and I trust Him. I guess my question to you is this: If God chose to reveal more of His word and His will by calling prophets in our current day, would you want to know? I know it may be uncomfortable to think about honestly and sincerely, but wouldn’t that be worth checking out in case it were true?
Thank you for your honest thoughts. However, after watching this video, how can you confidently say your beliefs are Christian? How do you have assurance of salvation? Is it really right to stay in something just because it’s all you know? We have clearly shown here that Mormons do not believe in the same Jesus or God and that your beliefs are not supported in scripture and that your other three books contradict scripture so much so that Joseph smith had to try and create his own translation. Does none of this feel strange to you?
@@jlewis8145your words remind me of a verse from the book of Mormon Alma 5'27 Have ye walked, keeping yourselves blameless before God? Could ye say, if ye were called to die at this time, within yourselves, that ye have been sufficiently humble? That your garments have been cleansed and made white through the blood of Christ, who will come to redeem his people from their sins? Maybe we believe in a different Jesus, maybe we aren't the same "Christian", but we both believe in a Savior. When Jesus comes again, he'll set us all straight, but until then, isn't it better that we learn to love each other and get along? ❤
@@conkjavier Will all due respect, when Jesus comes back again, it will not be to save. He already did that.. it will be to slay. Better use our time now to get it right before it’s too late. There is only one God and the only way to him is through the one and only Jesus.
There is no way this bashing, ignorant video shows "respect, love, and honor" towards LDS. First off - stop calling us Mormons. Next if you don't even have the love and kindness to call us Christians you lost all of us members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

@yolow69- You didn't learn much about Mormons from this video other than how to spread lies and hatred. Talk to an actual member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to find out the truth about us, instead of getting bigoted false information from anti-Mormon pastors. You also didn't learn from this video how to bring the Gospel and engage Latter-day Saints. These video has done great harm by driving Latter-day Saints away and further proving that hateful, self-righteous people cannot be trusted to be our friends.
Wait, a man became God by obeying commandments and being holy etc. whose commandments was he following?? And who would be the “top god” or the “first god” because ultimately there would still have to be an eternal God! None of this makes sense, but you take out the idea of an eternal, holy God and the rest immediately falls apart. Doesn’t it? Who created the angels and Heaven and Eartg? This man god? Are there continually new gods? They don’t compete or war? So many questions.
Research the translation and see if it has been translated correctly so you can refute them. Start at Deuteronomy 32:8-9. First read your Bible and then see what was in the early manuscript we have of the bible, the Septuagint.
@blgreen because some of us have studied textual criticism and how the translation of the Old and New Testament came to be, reading Biblical scholarship in peer review journals, and seeing how the Masoretes redacted much of the Old Testament. Something that is confirmed by the Dead Sea Scrolls and the much earlier translation of the LXX/Septuagint.

It's purely amazing that you posted this today.
Yo Brother Allen, the cut's lookin' FRESH!
James 1:5, 16-21
"5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him...
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls."
Proverb 18:13, 17
"13 If one gives an answer before he hears, it is his folly and shame.
Here is my favorite verse from the "satanic" Book of Mormon for emphasis:
Mosiah 4:11 -
And again I say unto you as I have said before, that as ye have come to the knowledge of the glory of God, or if ye have known of his goodness and have tasted of his love, and have received a remission of your sins, which causeth such exceedingly great joy in your souls, even so I would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God, and your own nothingness, and his goodness and long-suffering towards you, unworthy creatures, and humble yourselves even in the depths of humility, calling on the name of the Lord daily, and standing steadfastly in the faith of that which is to come, which was spoken by the mouth of the angel.

God bless.

You're a liar sir
@BaBumz because that's the best first response. No questions no curiosity about how I came to my conclusion. Just outright name calling and insulting is not necessary.
@imarip9781 you can't buy your way into heaven. You should do works because they are a good thing to do, not because you think you'll get into "better" heaven.
Ephesians 2:8-9
King James Version
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

He doesn't seem to know a lot about the Church of Jesus Christ, but I hope your baptism goes well!
The real truth has to be exposed as kindly as possible. Hopefully to bring people to Jesus. It works. That man has brought many to Christ.
I think he was a mormon...
I was and know he has told everything the way it is. Maybe some Mormons don't know their own faith.
Why does your pastor call my faith demonic? really?

@@troyt5564😂😂😅

DANIEL 2: 47 The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.”
1 Corinthians 8: 5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
Thank you for trying to explain this as best as you can
Joseph Smith wrote and taught so many things that outright contradict the Biblical revelation.
Hinckley, responding to a question regarding whether Latter-day Saints believe in the “traditional Christ,” stated:
No I don't.
President Hinckley continued (with words usually omitted by critics):
Am I Christian? Of course I am. I believe in Christ. I talk of Christ. I pray through Christ. I'm trying to follow Him and live His gospel in my life.
President Hinckley was quite clear in his position regarding Christ:
“Are we Christians?
John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
John 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.

PSALM 82: 6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
Our church didn’t invent what the scriptures already revealed. Pay attention to the upper case “G” (only 1 God) and the lower case “g”(gods many). Never should you speak of what you don’t understand and condemn and blaspheme on what is of God.

Washington DC would not allow Utah to gain statehood unless they stopped polygamy (Utah was a Mexican territory at the time). Then, poof!, the "prophet" had a revelation from God saying they no longer were to practice polygamy. Quite the coincidence wouldn't you say?
You must be misled polygamy was always a sect of LDS. It deterred away from its actual teachings.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Bryan. I go to Alpine Church. I have known him for many years, such a great guy.

Jesus Christ never required anyone to believe the Book of Mormon is true, join a church, tithe, go through a worthiness interview, earn forgiveness, get a temple recommend,go through an Endowment Ceremony, learn secret grips, tokens, signs, handshakes, and passwords, do temple work, wear temple garments, etc..

"John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-"

@kcbutts2724
Unbelievers are judged by their works.
The works of the LDS church consist of:
Idolatry- the worship of an exalted man from another planet that had to work his way to Godhood, lives near a star named Kolob, practices polygamy, is the literal father of Jesus Christ, damns people who deny the eternal principle of polygamy (D&C 132), and threatened to destroy Emma if she didn't abide by her husband's adultery. (D&C 132:54, 64)
Blasphemy - Mocking Jesus Christ and saying that Christ is a created being the brother of Satan.

The LDS Jesus, who is a created being the brother of Satan or the biblical Jesus, who is God in the flesh?

Hebrews 12:9 (AKJV) "Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?"
"Jesus and Satan spirit brothers is making Satan equal with Jesus and God." No, it does not! 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit."

eclipse-sh1qmZ3mOtcua: “David Burns Why are you misrepresenting our beliefs?” “For some reason, it has become fashionable for members of the Church to think they are defending the Church by going around denying this DOCTRINE.” I do not believe you know what the Doctrine is.
“A full, verbatim account of the speech does not exist, but notes exist, taken contemporaneously, by Thomas Bullock (using a type of personal shorthand), William Clayton (writing in longhand), and Willard Richards (taking "minute"-style notes of major elements of the speech).[3] Wilford Woodruff also took extensive contemporaneous notes and transferred the notes to his journal with editorializations, but his original notes were not preserved.[3] One author (Searle) estimates that the surviving notes of the sermon contain roughly 30% of the words of the actual address, but that together, they are likely nearly topically complete.[4]” [Wikipedia/King Follett discourse/Text]
What did Joseph Smith, Jr. say about the final estate of those who inherited exaltation in the Celestial Kingdom? Doctrine & Covenants 132:20 “Then shall they be gods, because they have no end; therefore shall they be from everlasting to everlasting, because they continue; then shall they be above all, because all things are subject unto them. Then shall they be gods, because they have all power, and the angels are subject unto them.” This is consistent with Biblical teachings. Psalm 82:6 (AKJV) “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.” John 10:34 (AKJV) “Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?” Hebrews 12:9 (AKJV) “Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?”
“Dallin H. Oaks explains: "Revelations from God ... are not constant. We believe in continuing revelation, not continuous revelation. We are often left to work out problems without the dictation or specific direction of the Spirit."[14] Thus, the current prophet can clarify, correct or change any previous teachings.[15]
However, once a doctrine has been accepted by the church by "common consent", it becomes part of the standard works, and then takes precedence over any other revelation.[16] Members of the LDS church only consider themselves bound by doctrine found in the standard works.[17]” [Wikipedia/Revelation in Mormonism/Inspired vs. infallible.]

To all Christian Cousins reading: consider 1 Timothy 6:3-5 (particularly 5) "from such withdraw thyself."
If there's something that we may contend on, the Lord seems to prefer that we withdraw if we can't interact in an edifying manner.
Dr. Nelson, the pithy barb stabber...

Very well put! Thanks 👍🏽
Read Ephesians 2
Ephesians 2:8-10
[8] For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God- [9] not the result of works, so that no one may boast. [10] For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.
We are saved by grace through faith, but once saved we are called to good works
As for preaching, that's not what 1 Corinthians 1:21 says at all
1 Corinthians 1:21 NRSV
[21] For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, God decided, through the foolishness of our proclamation, to save those who believe.
They can not have Levite Priest's because they are not Jewish Hebrews and they are not in Jerusalem with Yahweh's Temple!!!!!

Even though it isn't allowed, Polygamy is central to the LDS belief system. They believe it will be practiced in the afterlife.

How can it possibly be Christian when there are upside down stars on the little round windows at the top of the temple?🤔
wyattearpswoman838: “How can it be Christian when there are upside-down stars on the little round windows at the top of the temple?” “The pentagram was used in ancient times as a Christian symbol for the five senses,[14] or of the five wounds of Christ.” [Wikipedia/Western symbolism/Middle Ages]
“The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is theorized to have begun using both upright and inverted five-pointed stars in Temple architecture, dating from the Nauvoo Illinois Temple dedicated on 30 April 1846.[30] Other temples decorated with five-pointed stars in both orientations include the Salt Lake Temple and the Logan Utah Temple. These usages come from the symbolism found in Revelation chapter 12: "And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars."[31] [Wikipedia/Pentagram/ Use in new religious movements/ The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints]

Sola scriptura (Latin for 'by scripture alone') is a Christian theological doctrine held by most Protestant Christian denominations. Any other Book does an injustice to Him and those who seek Him. Tradition and what church you attend or building you have services in fall far short of the inspired Holy Bible. There's a difference between inspired
by God and Man's religion.

Your opinions and experiences are yours. It doesn't make them true for everyone. Especially if your flavor of Christianity is a scoop of mint.garlic and maple chocolate coffee ice cream with apples cherries. It may sound disgusting to you, but it's still ice cream.

Oh yeah, Mormon women be murdering everybody up in here. It’s crazy out there. 🤣 you people crack me up
You should know that's sensationalized fake news.
Hmm.
@Jpotts9161, I mean, like Evangelical Christians have never actually engaged in murder, abuse, molestation, rape, and the like. ***rolls eyes***
what kind of a comment?
(They will bring this up.)
Jesus Christ was also God in the flesh.
@emiliegossage923 Thanks. According to the Bible, God created angels first. Job 38:1-7
Angels are men, do not procreate, and are incorporeal.
They never repented.)
Unlike angels, human beings are made in the image of God. Of course, God the Father is invisible and a spirit. I Timothy 1:17; Colossians 1:15; Hebrews 11:27;
We are made in the image of God in the sense that we can commune with our Creator .

From 1 nephi 13:
“And it came to pass that I, Nephi, beheld that they did prosper in the land; and I beheld a book, and it was carried forth among them.
21 And the angel said unto me: Knowest thou the meaning of the book?
22 And I said unto him: I know not.
23 And he said: Behold it proceedeth out of the mouth of a Jew. And I, Nephi, beheld it; and he said unto me: The book that thou beholdest is a record of the Jews, which contains the covenants of the Lord, which he hath made unto the house of Israel; and it also containeth many of the prophecies of the holy prophets; and it is a record like unto the engravings which are upon the plates of brass, save there are not so many; nevertheless, they contain the covenants of the Lord, which he hath made unto the house of Israel; wherefore, they are of great worth unto the Gentiles.”
And again a revelation from God to Joseph Smith in D&C 10:
“52 And now, behold, according to their faith in their prayers will I bring this part of my gospel to the knowledge of my people.
Jesus Christ created this world under the direction of the Father, and Adam also was a part of it
@MRRANDOMZ11 The Creator can not be part of the creation.

God did not come from another planet.

This is something you should have talked about with Dallas from Dallas
Yes I was thinking the same thing. Dallas Chosen producer.
"Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you."
Deuteronomy 4:2
With that logic; anything after Deuteronomy is 'adding' also.
I can't imagine Jesus Christ telling the blind man, "That will be 10% of your income."
Do you recall Jesus Christ requiring 10% of the income of the lepers, the woman at the well, the demon possessed man, those raised from the dead, the thief on the cross........?
So first of all, when Revelations was written the New Testament as we have it today did not exist, and there is agreement among most Protestant ministers that First and Second John were written after the Book of Revelations. The New Testament in its final form was not accpted untill the 5th century A.D The warning is only about the Book of Revelations by itself, not the entire Bible. The First century Christians did not have what we have today. They possessed a few scattered copies of the Gospels and maybe some of the Letters of Paul, but that is all they had to work with, and they were fortunate to have even that much.
You didnt speak up when you interviewed Dallas Jenkins and his false doctine and false Jesus in "the chosen"

MORMON’S IMPOSSIBLE GOSPEL
Moroni 10:32
“IF you deny yourselves of ALL ungodliness… THEN is his grace sufficient for you.”
Did you notice the IF / THEN statement?
That’s a conditional statement.
So - how much ungodliness do you need to get rid of? Some? Most of? 60%?
Moroni 10:32 states you need to deny “ALL” ungodliness.
What are you if you get rid of ALL ungodliness?
Perfect.
Now, we know it’s impossible to be perfect without grace - and yet, according to this scripture grace doesn’t start until AFTER you are perfect.
This means grace is unattainable for Mormons.
-
The Book of Mormon has other passages which support this:
2 Nephi 25:23
“We are saved by grace, AFTER all we can do.”
When do you get the grace?
Have you done all that you can do?
Have you ever had 1 day in your whole life where you did all you could do?
You couldn’t have prayed another minute?
So - can anyone ever be saved???
-
Mormon scripture is consistent about this:
Alma 11:37
“And I say unto you again, that he cannot save them in their sins. For I cannot deny his word, and ye have said no unclean thing can inherit the kingdom of heaven. Therefore how can you be saved except you enter the kingdom of heaven?
Therefore you cannot be saved in your sins.”
That’s like saying you’ve got to get out of the water before I’m going to save you from drowning.
The Christian Jesus isn’t a swimming coach - He’s a lifeguard.
If they say, “it just means do your best” - no:
First Nephi 3:7
“And it came to pass that I nee-phi said unto my father , “I will go and do the things which the Lord has commanded. For I know that the Lord giveth no commandment unto the children of men save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commanded them.””
Is it possible for the Mormon god to give you a command you can’t keep?
Did he tell you to deny yourself of ALL ungodliness?
Did he tell you to do all you can do?
Did he tell you you can’t be saved in your sins?
If they say, I’m doing the best I can - then ask - does it say Do the best you can?
So - can anyone be saved?
Read the whole chapter of Alma 34.
Which says you have to have repented of ALL sin before you die, otherwise you will be sealed to Satan.
AND:
a reminder:
Moroni 10:32
“IF you deny yourselves of ALL ungodliness… THEN is his grace sufficient for you.”
This is confirmed by:
Doctrines and Covenants 82:7
“And now, verily I say unto you, I, the Lord, will not lay any sin to your charge; go your ways and sin no more; BUT UNTO THAT SOUL WHO SINNETH SHALL THE FORMER SINS RETURN, saith the Lord your God.”
Doctrines and Covenants 82:9-10
“I give unto you directions how you may act before me, that it may turn to you for your salvation. I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; BUT WHEN YE DO NOT WHAT I SAY, YE HAVE NO PROMISE.“
Under those conditions - who can be saved???
---------
Moroni 10:32
“IF you deny yourselves of ALL ungodliness… THEN is his grace sufficient for you.”
2 Nephi 25:23
“We are saved by grace, AFTER all we can do.”
-----------
Also:
"Trying is not sufficient. Nor is repentance complete when one merely tries to abandon sin,"
Spencer Kimball 12th President of LDS Church), The Miracle of Forgiveness, p150
The book just quoted, ‘THE MIRACLE OF FORGIVENESS,’ by Spencer Kimball (12th President and Prophet of the LDS Church) is approved and recommended by multiple LDS leaders:
Ezra Taft Benson (13th President of LDS Church) urged all church members "to read and reread President Spencer Kimball's book."
(from ‘In His Steps’ 1988).
LDS Church apostle Richard G. Scott called ‘The Miracle of Forgiveness’ a "masterly work" (‘Peace of Conscience and Peace of Mind, 2004) and “a superb guide.” (Finding Forgiveness, 1995).
A whole lot of work for something that's free
@SpielbergMichael Read Matt 5:48 The Savior is asking you to deny yourselves of all ungodliness by this... "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Matt 5:48 We can only be perfect through the Savior & we can only deny ungodliness through him as well. It is two different ways of saying the same thing. Only the Savior was perfect, he would not ask us to do something that can not be done in Matt 5:48. "With God all things are possible." Matt 19
@@Rodney_tubeviewHello there friend,
I’m afraid you have completely misunderstood the sermon on the Mount.
That’s not necessarily your fault, there are bad translations, and also you could have been lead into the wrong understanding by bad teachers.
When Jesus said:
“Therefore you shall be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”
Matthew 5:48 NASB2020
He was NOT saying you must be perfect, and must obey perfectly.
“For by one offering He has PERFECTED for all time those who are sanctified.”
Hebrews 10:14 NASB2020
That’s why the New Testament is full of statements like these:
“For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from works”
Romans 3:28
“But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace.”
Romans 11:6
“For it is by GRACE you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the GIFT of God- NOT BY WORKS”
Ephesians 2:8-9
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that NOT OF YOURSELVES; it is the gift of God, NOT OF WORKS, lest anyone should boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9 NKJV
If I give you a gift, do you have to do anything after that to have it?
----
The Mormon Gospel is a different Gospel to the one given in the New Testament.
The Mormon Gospel is a works based gospel - and, as I showed in my first comment, according to Mormon scriptures, you don’t get ANY grace until AFTER you have rid yourself perfectly of all sin and performed various works.
I could literally quote dozens and dozens of New Testament verses which categorically contradict the Mormon works based (earn your own salvation) Gospel:
“But to the one who does NOT work, but believes in Him who justifies the UNGODLY, his faith is credited as righteousness,”
Romans 4:5
“But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy,”
Titus 3:4-5
“but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.” (of obedience or by your life of obedience, which is it?)
Romans 5:8-10
“For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.”
Romans 5:19
@@SpielbergMichael Wait Friend are you telling me that you have the original copy that Matthew wrote himself? You holding out on the one & only copy in the World directly from Apostle Matthew?! WHY?!
You Must really not like the Apostle James. James speaks of Faith & Works in James chapter 1 & 2. You did not quote him once.
We are save by the Free Gift of Grace & you gave many examples quotes on Grace, Thanks. James speaks on how Faith in God will lead us to do Faithful Deeds for God. "So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone." (James 2: 24)
James does let us know that In the Lords Church aka Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we are Saved by Grace in Jame 4. Can you quote dozens of Verses in James an Apostle of the Lord & tell me that Faith alone is a requirement? Church of Jesus Christ of LDS are saved by Grace & we hear what the Savior said to the
Disciples, “If you love me, obey my commandments."(John 14:15) James teaches that Faith and Works for God are on the same Good side of how to Follow the Savior.
@@Rodney_tubeview Dear friend,
I will try to reply properly but it's difficult to in these brief comments.
I would really love to sit down with you and chat - I'm sure you're a nice person. There's just so much I'd like to present to you.
First of all, you wrote:
"are you telling me that you have the original copy that Matthew wrote himself? You holding out on the one and only copy in the world directly from the Apostle Matthew?!"
No, please read my comment again. I didn't say anything like that.
I quoted the NASB2020 (which is widely considered the best literal word for word translation:
"Therefore you **SHALL** be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
Matthew 5:48 NASB2020
It's widely translated this way:
"You **SHALL** be perfect, therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect."
Matthew 5:48 Berean Literal Translation
"Therefore you **SHALL** be perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."
Matthew 5:48 NKJV
"Therefore you **SHALL** be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect."
Matthew 5:48 NASB
"You, therefore, **WILL** be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
Matthew 5:48 AMP
"Ye therefore **SHALL** be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
Matthew 5:48 ASV
"Ye therefore **SHALL** be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
Matthew 5:48 ERV
"You **WILL** be perfect, as your Father who in the heavens is perfect."
Matthew 5:48 Literal Standard Version
"Ye **SHALL** therefore be perfect, as your Father who is in the heavens is perfect."
Matthew 5:48 Young's Literal Translation
"Therefore you** SHALL** be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect."
Matthew 5:48 World English Bible
These are *LITERAL* translations of the Greek.
Jesus is clearly NOT giving an order/instruction - no, He is giving a prediction of what He is going to do for us.
All of New Testament Scripture supports this:
Hebrews tells us that Jesus did it for us:
"For by ONE offering He has **PERFECTED** for all time those who are sanctified."
Hebrews 10:14
By you saying you perfect yourself, or help to perfect yourself, you are DENYING Jesus' ONE offering is good enough. You are denying Christ and saying you don't want His offering applied to you.
"For as through one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the ONE the many will be made righteous."
Romans 5:19
Humans don't make themselves righteous: Jesus (the ONE) does that for us!
Sinful humans CAN'T do anything to prefect themselves - anything we try to do to save ourselves UNCLEAN to God:
Isaiah 64:6 says our righteous deeds are FILTHY UNCLEAN RAGS to God
In Philippians 3:8 the Apostle Paul said he counted all of his righteousness before he knew Christ as UNCLEAN DUNG/EXCREMENT.
There is no 'good work' you can do BEFORE you are saved.
Any good work you try to do may appear good to you, but to God it is UNCLEAN and unacceptable.
-----------------------
Side note: even if you take other translations of Matthew 5:48, they still don't mean what you say it means:
"But you are to be perfect, even as your Father is perfect."
Matthew 5:48 NLT
That can still be interpreted as a prediction of what is going to happen for us.
"You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
Matthew 5:48 ESV
That can still be interpreted as, for example, a parent telling their child "You must have a school uniform to go to school - so therefore I will buy you one and provide you with one."
--------------------------
Your comment suggests you think this interpretation of the sermon on the mount is strange or unique to me.
-------------------
About the book of James - I love the book of James.
What I shared with you is official Mormon doctrine, but it just all comes out differently depending on their experience of Mormonsim"
There are handbooks written like legal code explaining official church policies, doctrine, etc.

@@jlewis8145your words remind me of a verse from the book of Mormon Alma 5'27
Have ye walked, keeping yourselves blameless before God? Could ye say, if ye were called to die at this time, within yourselves, that ye have been sufficiently humble? That your garments have been cleansed and made white through the blood of Christ, who will come to redeem his people from their sins?
Maybe we believe in a different Jesus, maybe we aren't the same "Christian", but we both believe in a Savior. When Jesus comes again, he'll set us all straight, but until then, isn't it better that we learn to love each other and get along? ❤

Excellent video, I had little knowledge about the Mormons. I love ❤learning how to defend my faith and bring people to the true gospel.
How do you reach someone with the Word if they can just say it is not translated correctly?
Research the translation and see if it has been translated correctly so you can refute them.
Start at Deuteronomy 32:8-9. First read your Bible and then see what was in the early manuscript we have of the bible, the Septuagint.
@blgreen because some of us have studied textual criticism and how the translation of the Old and New Testament came to be, reading Biblical scholarship in peer review journals, and seeing how the Masoretes redacted much of the Old Testament. Something that is confirmed by the Dead Sea Scrolls and the much earlier translation of the LXX/Septuagint.
