if your talking about just watching the show, it seems like he already did and waited until he was done so he could watch the openings. for me, as someone that watched he show in dub for the first time. I didnt consider it to be bad. like anything bad about it never took me out of anything.also my reading is slow and I dint want my focus to be shifted away from the visuals too much. which you might know plays a big importance for those easteregg where you might blink and miss it. but at this point I watched the show a lot, probably 85% or more of them being subbed. and in my opinion, all I can say is thats the dub is underrated and that people should go into the show with whatever there preference is. but this isn't me sayignto you that your going to ruin other peoples viewings, its just my opining. I first watched hxh in dub, then watched a lot of subbed. then once I got back to rewatching the dub, it became incredibly weird. like there I can see why many people prefer subbed over dubbed.
I don't think I would say opening 4 is my favourite or in the top half, but it is incredibly underrated. some people didnt like it, and they also thought it was too happy and cheerful. but I found it to be the exact opposite. the visuals show our current eren paying no attention the the happy little kid eren thats trying to get his attention. there was some sad revelation that nearly put out the fire in eren. not just the fire of doing whatever it takes for freedom, but litterally for his own life because if it wasn't for him ever being there, people would have lived in ignorance but there would have been loads of people that wouldn't have died for evens sake. its an opening of just sad revelations that nearly changed eren as we knew him forever.
Does watching that spoil the show for if I ever decide to watch it? Or maybe id prob just forget by the time I decide to watch the show? Always wonder this when it comes to watching other Openings
