I’m not sure you’ll see this comment since this video is older, but thank you for sharing your experience. I am a psychiatry resident, and I experienced a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks two months ago. I was devastated, but I have an amazing support system including my spouse, family, and my residency colleagues. Miscarriage should not be an experience women feel they have to endure alone. It’s a heartbreaking loss and everyone experience grief differently. The more we share our stories, the more we can lessen the stigma that surrounds miscarriage. ❤

I had a miscarriage January 28, 2024 at 8 weeks, 1 day. It’s absolutely heartbreaking, my husband and I are devastated. But we are so grateful to have a great support system, it has helped me so much to talk about it with friends and family cause I’m not alone. It breaks my heart for anyone who has had a miscarriage, and I’m thinking of you and praying for you. I want to thank all the women who share their stories and struggles about miscarriage, cause i don’t feel as alone.

Going through my second miscarriage now, with two embryos, after my second FET. It's absolutely devastating. I feel defeated, but hopeful to maybe get answers and try again. It's amazing how we can be going through something so traumatic and still so hopeful at the same time. Your personal story gives me hope, so thank you!

I had a miscarriage a few years ago. I found out I was pregnant when I had not planned to be. After accepting the fact that I was pregnant and deciding I wanted to keep it, I was happy and looking forward to having a baby. One month later on a Saturday, I started spotting. Google said it can be normal so I tried not to worry. The next day, I bleed more and I became concerned. I went to the ER to make sure everything was ok. They said they didn't detect a heart beat, but to meet with my doctor to confirm. They measured a gestational age of 6 weeks... that night I had major cramps and bled like never before. Heavy bleeding (changed pads about every hour) and pain all night. I cried and cried and then I fell asleep. I woke up 2 hours later and felt no pain. I felt empty. I went to the bathroom and I heard a splash as I sat. Then I saw my underwear and there it sat. My little baby came out. I only assumed one was the sack and the other the umbilical cord (not sure) but I just got both parts and put it in toilet paper and stared. I woke up my boyfriend who spent the night for support, and my mother. We were all in shock. I then cried and didn't sleep much. Although it was only for a month, I was very attached to the pregnancy and had may hopes. The miscarriage really affected my concentration and I felt depressed. I missed work and school for 1 week, but it took me about a month or 2 to regain my concentration and focus. It still affects me emotionally to this day every once in a while. I will never forget this pregnancy, and thankfully my parents, sister, boyfriend, and a friend supported me.
Thank you for sharing your experience!

Thank you for sharing your story. I also had a miscarriage and was pregnant with 2 embryos. It was my first pregnancy and I was so excited. I went to my 8 week ultrasound appointment and the doctor could only see 2 sacs and not fetal pole or heart beat. My heart sank and I just wanted to burst out crying. I miscarried 3 weeks later and took over 3 months for my body to go back to normal. It's been so hard physically, mentally and emotionally. The only person that knows about everything is my husband. It's so hard because people keep asking when we are having kids and I just feel so annoyed. Hopefully I will get pregnant again and it will be successful.

When I got pregnant, my husband and I only told very few people, but after my miscarriage, we decided to be very open about it. Telling the people who knew about the pregnancy was much harder than telling those who didn't, but I feel like the people who knew have a much deeper understanding for the grief because they were there for the happiness as well.

Firstly I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you because I know exactly what you went through. But I think doctors should also talk about cervical insufficiency because it's also a cause of miscarriage but is never listed or kept a look out for, unless it's too late 😔 and I see you also didn't include it. I lost my son at 5months because of it. I would really be happy if you did a video about it just to have more information.

I wish I’d seen this sooner. Have been following for a while but some how missed this one. I’m a paediatric nurse who works predominantly with babies. I was on night shift when I miscarried and didn’t say anything. I was so busy that I just kept changing my pad and moving on. I knew deep down what was happening but didn’t give myself the time to actually acknowledge it. A few days later it was confirmed and I fell to pieces. The best thing I did after that was talk about it with anyone that would listen. I realised very quickly. I shouldn’t have suffered on night shift in silence. I should have spoken up. There is still so much stigma in our industry. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want anyone to know that I was trying. Now they all know and I don’t even care. I was met with so much love and support after the loss that I realised it doesn’t matter. Wanting to Start a family is normal and we need to normalise it in the health care industry. We can be healthcare workers and Mums! We are back to trying and hoping we get a rainbow baby soon but until then I will continue to tell my story because I’ve realised it’s opened the doors for others to tell theirs.

Did anyone start to hsve round ligament pain again after a miscarriage. Im getting that now and did a test at the doctors which he only checked for 2 mins on a strip. I need a blood test for my HCG, hormone levels. So we'll see today. Why am i feel all the heaviness in my pelvic area, back, hips and legs still. I get slight aches in my breasts but have not changed and are still a bit fuller and havent gone down. Im still thinking im pregnant. The aches are annoying and feel like contraction pains but slows me down doing things. Has anyone been through this. Its really confusing

I’ve had 5 miscarriages in the first trimester in this year. 😢 My lab work and my husbands has been normal. I do have 1 live child who is 3 years old. We have gotten our genetic testing done. Now I have to go see a specialist once I get my next menstrual cycle. I really want my rainbow baby.

Thank you for sharing. I had a miscarriage at 7w6d. I am now 9w4d. My OB has been monitoring my hcg levels weekly since week 4 . My hcg was 116500 week 8 and 116000 week 9. Is this a concern that it dropped 500 instead of rising after 7 days from previous test? I had a dating scan 7w3d and BPM was 129. I am 40 years old, my miscarriage happened in November and conceived 2 cycles later. Please i would really appreciate response ❤️

I've miscarried at 17weeks. My pregnancy went ok,..., Right until it didn't. I got contractions and gave birth. My son was born alive, and perfect, just too young to survive. I found out he was a baby boy while holding his slowly dying body trying to breathe. No doctor could help. And it's the worst pain I've ever experienced. Holding my son, watching him struggle, and then fade, and grow cold. And I miss him.I still don't know what caused the contractions. All the obvious causes were ruled out. But the result is obvious. I was supposed to be changing nappies and breastfeeding right now, but instead I'm writing this.

Dr. Natalie - sorry if this is an invasive question but did you take progesterone with any of your pregnancies? I’ve watched you video about it & my doctor advised me to take it after my first MC for my 2nd pregnancy but I was apprehensive bc it just doesn’t make sense to me. If MC could be due to genetic issues, would progesterone just prolong the inevitable?

Dear doctor. I am looking for some advice on the internet but not having much luck and thought what better place to ask. I am currently 16 weeks pregnant after 3 very early miscarriages in the last couple of years. This is the first pregnancy through IVF and I was on Fragmin since the embryo transfer day. All seems to be going well so far. Today I was told I can now stop Fragmin. As much as it would he great to stop injections, I am very very nervous about just stopping it. Can I just add that I did not have a diagnosed problem with blood clotting Fragmin was given to me just in case, in addition to low dose aspirin. Is it really safe to stop it now and not worry sick?

Also have you seen the beautiful pictures of Hilary Duff’s at home labor? There just stunning. But you can see someone’s taking photos of her and there’s just so much pouring of love and support. My thought is, is bc it went well- had Chrissy’s labor gone well I would hope the reaction would’ve been of love & support. It just says a lot about how society views women. That we should grieve in private. I commend Chrissy bravery for letting us grief with her.

Can you please do a video on ectopic pregnancies and what the implications may be for future pregnancies and TTC again? My doctor didn't have many answers for me and I feel like there's not enough information about this topic readily available.
