I came off birth control in October 2022. It took me almost a year to get pregnant. I tracked everything, was taking a prenatal and my period came on time to the day every single month. We used preseed. Used OPKs. Did everything. After the first few months, I just knew something was wrong. I ended up going to a fertility specialist in June 2023, and I don't think I was ovulating. In August, I was put on Letrozole, and I conceived that month! It was a really hard time in my life. But now I have the best reward ever.
I’m 38 and am feeling discouraged. Could you do a video on advanced maternal age and ttc? I feel like many women are having babies later in life, and some support and suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!
I just wanted to say I enjoy your videos so much! I know I am just one of many who appreciate you both taking time out of your busy lives to share your professional knowledge to help others 🙏💜
We are going for baby no.2 in the new year 🤞🏼 We were so lucky to conceive on the first try in 2022. I was 36, bmi of 36 but I too the prenatal for 3 months prior, tracked my cycle on paper and tested for my peak ovulation. Had lots of ‘baby dancing’ in the few days before predicted ovulation day and the day of and after just for extra luck and now we have an 18 month old boy 😄 I do feel more anxious this time being a bit older though. Thank you for the video 😊
So thankful to you both for this video! (Recently started TTC, so the timing of this video is perfect for me, haha!) I started watching your first videos going week by week for the 40 weeks earlier this year, and I’m so glad y’all are back with all this great info! 🎉
I personally recommend the ovulation test kits. I was good to see the LH spike for reassurance that I was ovulation and to know exactly when to concentrate our efforts. I got pregnant the second cycle I tracked for each pregnancy in my mid-thirties.
As a Mom of a 18 month old, I'm having a lot of trouble staying asleep. My husband bought melatonin-complex drops to try but I'm afraid it will be unsafe for future baby #2. Thoughts? INGREDIENTS: distilled water, vegetable glycerin, preservative: potassium sorbate, 0.1% melatonin, valerian root extract 10:1 (Valeriana officinalis), lemon balm extract 10:1 (Melissa officinalis), passionflower extract 10:1 (Passiflora incarnata, contains 2% flavones), vegan L-tryptophan, thiamine hydrochloride, pyridoxine hydrochloride.
UGH really? 15% chance per month for me? 😭😭😭😭 6 months in and NOTHING 💔 I’m absolutely heartbroken. And of course we can’t afford IVF. I pray I get my baby #2 naturally!!!!
What if you are breastfeeding and are still below 35? I am 27 and still don’t have a cycle back despite getting a positive OPK 2 weeks ago. I’d love to get pregnant while nursing but Im already 15 months postpartum! I am a low healthy BMI (18.5-19) and have gained some weight to try and help. I conceived on the first try at this BMI before breastfeeding so Im hoping that’s not it
Very interesting. How can i get my period back so I can get my fertility back? I stopped breastfeeding my baby at 8 months because we trying for baby number 3. Baby is now almost 10 months should I worry?I'm 34 years old.
Hi Drs… love your content. I was wondering if you could do a video on how a woman’s AMH levels could affect fertility and what can you do about that. Specifically if you’re less than 35 and have been told you have quite low AMH. Thank so much❤
How long does Covid seem to affect sperm count? My husband got Covid literally weeks after we conceived and finally tested negative the day we got our first ever positive pregnancy test. 😅
On fourth cycle of trying for bubba #2. I swore this time I'd be more chill 😅 Trying to relax and just accept will happen when it happens, but for various reasons had to wait until now to start trying, bubba #1 is already 2 and I'd love for a ~3yr age gap. Doing LH strip testing this month just to check, my cycle only recently came back post breastfeeding and has been abit variable, 33 days, 30 days, 36 days which has been a recipe for confusing and false hope 🤦🏻♀️ Sendinf luck and love to all those TTC 💜
I (42) use mid size dose anabolic steroids and thankfully still got my wife (35) pregnant very quickly. Think it may be due to at the time I was only a year or less into using but we shall see when the time comes for the next attempt. God willing.
If you've had a miscarriage that needed a D&C - is it harder to get pregnant? I am 29 years old and had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks in July and am struggling to conceive my second baby. The first two pregnancies I fell pregnant on the 1st or 2nd try and now going on month 4 with my third. Appreciate your videos so much!
Have you regular cycles? I got my period back 1 month to the day post D&C after a blighted ovum miscarriage. After that I had 2 months of irregular cycles. And then got pregnant on the second cycle I ovulated on time for. I’d test your ovulation even if it seems like things are back to normal.
@@TheDoctorsBjorkmanbecause of the election results, I feel like many of us have contraception and abortion access on our mind rather than how to conceive as quickly as possible. But maybe this could be helpful for those who are also concerned about their right to access IVF
Understood. We can assure you that the election had nothing to do with our schedule timing - we’re just here to help people feel more informed about the medical side of growing their family, taking care of mama, and taking care of their kids.
@@ChapstickChunxI know so much on my mind too. Would have loved a video about their view as a professional and talking about what’s going to happen. Why would anyone want to get pregnant fast right now 😣

Can you do an episode on getting pregnant with PCOS
Great idea! We will put this on the list.
Hiiii I'm so glad u guys r back i missed u guys. So question does COQ10 help with fertility.
Thank you for this! The timing could not be better - trying for our second 🤞

Thankful for your videos!
Glad you like them!
Took my husband and I roughly 4 years to get pregnant with our first (and so far only) child. Trying for #2, it’s been two years, still no luck yet.

I'm pregnant and expecting what should I do for the first trimester
Does sperm count eventually get better after having Covid?

@ yeah I’ve had seemingly normal cycles and tracked ovulation. So idk what’s going on!
Not thinking about getting pregnant in this day and age my guy and gal.
While I appreciate the info and love this channel the timing of this video is questionable
Thanks for your support!
Just curious though, why is timing questionable?
