Great video but theres one thing extra i wish you had touched on which was my issue. So if anyone else has checked these 3 and still no priming then maybe this is for you. My fuel pump worked one second, drove, turned car off and went to turn on and had nothing. No fuel priming. The back seat connectors were fine. Fuse up front was fine so i was prepared to buy a new fuel pump. Looking online and one more point of issue popped up. Theres a fuel pump relay plug thats located on the driver's side in the foot well. Look up behind the dash where all the wires are and on the right there is a green plug. thats the fuel pump relay. I simply pushed on that plug and it moved forward slightly, i guess it was loose. After that i tried the car again and straight away it primed and started first go. So maybe it could be loose or the plug itself is faulty.
You guys have an awesome shop, next time I’m in Japan I’m going to try to visit your shop. I have a jdm ver 7 STi swapped bugeye in NY. Just found out I have an exhaust valve issue on Cylinder 4. Can you help me get a complete engine gasket kit for said ej207 ? Thank you.
very cool shop ....i have a 2002 wrx and it will crank and not start but if i take off line going from fuel filter to injecters and put back on then it starts?
I have a jdm 2000 subaru legacy with a crank, no start issue. I seem to have fuel, spark, and compression. My mechanic changed the cam sensor as it appeared to not be working and the vehicle fired up right away, but after shutting it off, it won't fire back up again. The day before the no start, the engine was idling quite rough.
Checked timing yesterday and was good. My mechanic went back over the fuel, spark and compression. Turns out my spark plugs weren't tightened enough to flatten the crush washer. Tightened em all up and car runs like a dream! So happy it was an inexpensive repair, just a few hours labor and some stress haha
hi bro iv had the same issues with no crank no start changed the relay, fuel pump after putting the seats back together didn't start when taking seat back off its started hasn't started even with seats off
Hi there I ,have a JDM Subaru Impreza 2005. Sometimes I have it were I have crank no start flick the key over 2 or 3 times it will fire start over. seems to have lost some power on top end and when I fist got the car the coolant in the expansion tank would slowly be loosing some but no smoke out of exhausted. But since loss of power at top end the coolant in the expansion tank is not going down. Any idea of what this could be thanks.
I would think the coolant issue is separate from the power loss. I would recommend starting with all the basic stuff. If you haven’t already I would do spark plugs and compression test, fuel pump and hanger gasket, and then boost leak test.
When cranking was you getting a pulse on rev counter? I got a problem where cranks but do not hear fuel pump prime. When cranking the rev counter does not move when i think it should. I have a 95 wrx sti gf8 jdm
@@OkiSubies thanks for your reply and great video. I thought the same with it not priming. Will check fuse 1st tomorrow and try figure out why my rad fans on constant to. Hope it not all related
First I would check battery connection and voltage and if that is good (12v) I would next replace the starter. If it is a manual vehicle you can also try to push start it and if it starts it will most likely be the starter.
Hi bro, i searching hks v belt alternator/aircond for my ej205 version 5, but my dealer here only sell gc8 ej207 model.. wish to ask can share use into my ej205?
They will fit but the best thing to do is look at the numbers and make sure they are the same or at least close. There are Subaru belts that are a little different in length and you don’t want to buy them if they are shorter
Hard to say but in those cases we often see that if the fuel system isn’t sealed properly then the fuel in the lines can drain back in the tank. Next time try to prime your fuel system by turning the ignition to “on” a couple times before you try to start it.
Do you guys have any other JDM related problems we could cover in a video?

Always great to see another post from Oki Subies.
Keep up the good work guys!
Appreciate the support! Thanks for watching!
This video is soo helpful. So mine cranks up but it takes a bit. This has been a recent issue. I’ll try these steps and see where I’m at. Thank you
@@JDMBaby808 Thanks for watching! Let us know how it goes!
The melted connector is exactly what happened to my v3 wrx. Thanks for the great video.
Nice! Thanks for watching!
One last suggestion before changing the pump. Inspect the fuel pump relay (green) under the dashboard on the drivers side.
Do you have a picture of what it looks like
Thank you. I will check that. I was driving the car stop suddenly. It cranks but won't start

Thank you! We appreciate the support! Yeah we could do that no problem! PM us on the FB page and we can work it out🙂👍🏻
Would love to see a vid on Coolant loss
That would be a good one but there could be so many reasons on why coolant is getting low but we will try and do it!

Oh wow! That sounds really odd🤔
Are you sure the lines aren’t backwards? How long does it run when you do that?
it will run until i shut it off again really wierd@@OkiSubies
positive lines are not backwards

If u find the problem plz lmk going through the same curse 😭
Have you checked the timing of the vehicle? If you have fuel and spark that is the next thing I would check.

that very thing happened too me recently after 5 years of abuse the connecter melted. where where you with this video 2 months ago?!?!?! lol 😂
Haha the story of our lives😅
At least you figured it out though!
@OkiSubies and you can always use a new fuel pump.

Typically it doesn’t pulse until after the car starts. You most likely have a fuel pump issue of some sort.
