I mean, his is 5k was nerfed from 0 to on block to -2. His 2S got more recovery, he takes more damage with higher blood, 2h got more recovery. He got nerfs, just not killed.
I’d argue that the DP changes are actually a net positive for Sol, as hVV no longer having dp properties means that it has even more combo applications. For example, counter hit HVV can combo into nearly anything meterlessly, since now it can benefit from counter hit (or roman cancel) slowdown. Of course, the old bnbs don’t work anymore, but new, higher power routes are being discovered already.
as a Ky player, i'm sad as a Elphelt player, i'm hyped i'll finally be able to get bomb belt more consistently. my hubby is hyped for the Testament and pot changes too. everyone gets some love - ngl i like that you read through the notes before making a video on them. i was trying to look this morning after reading the notes, and it was just dudes with their cam on like *reads a couple lines of notes* "mmmm yea why tf did they even do this, gutting this for no reason?" regarding dp and orange(clearly orange) wild assault changes much better quality on your part, well done.

Hi! You misunderstood part of the Heavenly Pot Buster changes! It's not increased damage, it's increased MINIMUM damage, you ever been hit by HPB and it scales so hard it does like 5 damage? Minimum is 100 before defense modifiers, Pot Discord labbing says it's eeking out Gigantor finishers in some situations!! It's frankly a way bigger change than increasing the damage would have been.
The dp rc changes are fantastic and it’s one of the things I really wanted. The other thing I really want is increased scaling on risc. it’s just not healthy imo to crank up risc in a block string and just do like 80% off an interaction. If dmg is overall lowered i think strive would be in such a fantastic spot
No Hiragi RC is a big hit for my girl. I'm feeling it online too, it's a bit harder to get out of oki with Hiragi. Regardless, it's probably for the good of the game, and a lot of characters got significantly better with this patch. I hope Johnny, Elphelt, Testament, Bedman, and Potemkin players enjoy their buffs.

the white assault is a good call. Heat in Tekken 8 sucks and Drive Impact in SF6 is also not thought through. If you got an unduckable armor move, you cant make it plus on block also. Where is the Mindgame is you can option select everything and be good on block. if he attacks hes done and if he blocks hes cucked too.
No DP rc is uncharted territory, but I think it's right for Strive. The damage is high enough where dp rc became an amazing option to stay safe. I wouldn't mind still being able to hit on hit, though.

You actually made a mistake when covering baiken. Not only did she lose the ability to RC parry on whiff, but also lost the ability RC parry even if she lands it. She can no longer red roman cancel parry if she lands it making parry practically useless as an option. Accompanied by her opportunities of oki being halfed by WA changes, she has been severely nerfed more than people realize.
There was one stealth nerf to Ky that wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes. H Vapor Thrust is now only 4f active instead of 8f active. This lowers the consistency and increases the difficulty of some combos, as well as making some routes completely fail.

Honestly a great update. DP is no longer an annoying move that you throw out when you have 50 meter. Not having a DP was such a huge drawback, but now atleast I know I don't have to guess for my life just because I decided to knock Sol down
Without taking in mind the heavenly changes (finally, viable as a option by itself and not as a reversal cancel after 3 seasons) I feel like arc is doing a russian roulette on the pot changes, it's funny cause on the rest of the changes it looks like they listen to the community but not on the pot changes, they are just random. Hopefully next patch they give us the much appreciated 6F 2P, 8F 5K/2K and 2 less recovery frames on hammerfall break (just break, not hammerfall itself)
axl feels pretty good now. sickle storm is really good as a "burst lockout" option to end round because it was awful at breaking the wall before. comboing c.s/f.s into 5h basically means you can always WA combo into a wallbreak which means his reward is pretty consistent. he also gained a handful of scary new combos by combing 5h into rensen mixups or into winter cherry one vision combos. plus the game's mechanics are adjusted in his favor. it felt really bad to constantly get hit by hard knockdown or having people just spam their high-reward options at axl because the meter economy made comebacks very possible
the Axl tornado change only applies to projectiles with high enough clash level to take hits from it - most regular fireballs are level 1 and it is level 2 so it doesn't lose any hits from them
conspiracy theory: Baiken's nerf is preemptively setting up for when she gets her extra special (the return of follow ups)
