so basically, i take it the ratings go as so. Fucking Sucks - can probably get their ass beat by completely normal people Eh? - heavily skilled people, thats it. Superhuman - Well above average and skilled, but ultimately gets their ass handed to them by almost every other character in the series. Approaching Godlike - People who can probably jump god if they really felt like it,but just dont bother Godlike - Basically approaching godlike but they give a shit. Or are just carried by one or two abilities/immortality. Faust - Faust.
Can't believe you forgot the the very important characters of zako a, zako b, zako c and robo ky II. They are all so pivotal to the series that forgetting them is a crime (they are all in the sucks tier).
As a said, slightly arbitrary lol. My rationale was that I had a hard time believing that Goldlewis could overcome Giovanna's super speed, but that's mostly just a guess lol. Also Giovanna had a really good battle with Nago, and Goldlewis doesn't have an impressive feat like that for me to confidently judge where he should go. But yeah, it is very funny when you put it like that lmao.
@@staiven Yeah I can see the argument for Gio beating Lewis. Personally I do feel like Lewis can do a lot more than what we've seen. But even from what we've seen with his strength and reaction time, on top of the powerful equipment and UMA he has makes me think he would probably beat Gio in a fight.
I've always seen Goldlewis being like some kind of teacher to Gio and realistically, the student tend to surpass the teacher (if the teacher is good of course)
My favorite thing about Chaos is that he’s the most powerful character in the series with limitless magical ability… but he just doesn’t ever bother to try. He chooses to fight with guns so that he doesn’t have to use his immense power on you. Using a gun is him holding back
Guilty gear characters holding back and not using anywhere near their real power is a consistent story element. Sol, Slayer and Dizzy are all characters who could probably murder entire nations if they felt like it, but they don't, so they never do.
@@jeffreybogard2713 Even factors into gameplay. Slayer is chill even when in his knockdown animations. Dizzy's ultimate is actually her trying to _save_ the opponent.
@@ProfessionalNamielleLewder69Oh I know. Sol, too. His attacks are usually low effort, barely there attacks that nevertheless hit as hard as everyone else. Slayer's whole fighting style is active trolling. He rarely looks like he's hitting you with real force. Potemkin always wears limiters, and he never just punches you. His instant kill reveals that he could casually destroy them whenever he wants just by flexing, and a single, legit punch would be enough to fold almost anyone.
@@pen4997 Actually (yes, haha nerd emoji), I think his file states that he does have the one of the six uber powerful guns "He only has one of them, the other is a replica". (I mean if he duplicates it like we see in one of his victory animations, it still might be just as powerful)
Nago's ability to see everybody's weakness, including Happy Chaos, is too underrated. He is part of the reason they able to beat I-No. Heck he probably know how to kill immortals like Slayer and Raven, considering he is one as well.
@@isu152stalin2Everyone of them is canon. They happen after the story of Strive. The variations of the dialogues are due to the characters fighting each other multiple times instead of just once.
when japan was blown up tons of gear energy got dispersed and got absorbed by the people. so the descendants of the survivors inherited this energy hence the superhumanity. its not godlike powers, just the average japanese guy is a mike tyson or something. they are also very resilient, thats why faust got freaked out when may had a cold. people confuse this for their attunement with ki energy which is very unexplained
The whole "ki" thing is actually basically the public explanation for why Justice attacked Japan; they believed that Justice was afraid of this inexplicable and insane potential that Japanese people had. Nobody knew that the actual explanation was that the Universal Will attempted to manifest by mutating the Japanese people into Anti-Matter Gears that would blow up almost instantly. That Man performed a manual override on Justice, who was also currently being affected by the Universal Will, to force her to use Gamma Ray to obliterate the entire region. The survivors contained dormant genetic information of the same type that became activated in REVELATOR.
i didnt think watching a video of some guy screaming about guilty gear lore 2 and a half years after the final game came out for 20 minutes would seem like 4 minutes but it has and you did pretty good for that
@FryPrime forgot what the interview said exactly, but it implied that Daisuke would be taking a step back from handling future games. So someone else would be the director of the game instead of him.
You're right about the Japanese and you should say it. Jack-O is definitely godlike and somewhere around Justice and for the same reasons, no questions asked. She just... doesn't do anything. Sometimes to the story's great detriment. (See: Ky taking a swing at God I-No because he's "the only one left" with access to either the Flame of Corruption or Scales of Juno. When Jack-O is RIGHT THERE.) Also, you totally could just put every Guilty Gear character into Godlike if you weren't a coward.
I beg to differ on what they said about the japanese. Ki is life energy, and being able to more easily tap onto that means that one would have increased strength, durability, healing and life expctancy
@@default9314 It's true that it's a powerful ability but i don't think we've seen there's anything special about the Japanese in relation to it. So many of the most powerful ki users are non-Japanese and a bunch of the Japanese characters don't seem to use ki in any particular way. Maybe there's some genetic component or maybe the Japanese had/have more training and knowledge about it but to me all the signs point to it being something people in-universe believe despite it not really being true (or not nearly to that extent). The one thing you can point to in game is their consistently (slightly) higher Guts value, but that could also be explained by them being the survivors of Justice's giga nuke--in other words all the ones with average Guts got killed.
@@WinterAyars I think you are absolutely correct with the idea that the association with ki is something believed in universe, as the way that people discuss this within the guilty gear world is very reminiscent of how racialized ideologies are enforced within the real world. Or if there is a greater association, it's most likely contextual or cultural rather than genetic
19:19 "I wouldn't be surprised if he had a way to circumvent I-No and Axl's Time Stop" He does, though. Axl goes to the exact tower that Happy Chaos destroys mid-destruction and, while onlooking, sees that Happy Chaos twitches his view over to Axl in literally no time and subsequently dips the fuck out of there. So yes, Happy Chaos living in Creative Mode is entirely accurate.
You did forget nagoriyuki is also immortal. Now he admits he could be bested in combat but sol wouldnt be able to kill him per se. Thats why in strive his defeated animation is him just lying down there looking relaxed
@@alphalee7148 Of course I was half-joking. Slayer is still the best (he wears a suit, writes haiku AND has Sharon) but I wouldn't be an otaku if I said I dislike the giant katana wielded by a non-japanese character xD
the thing is, I'm pretty sure if Happy Chaos himself made this tier list it'd look the exact same. including Faust and putting the enigma above godlike. what could be more grand and scarier than the unknown?
I think that some characters are harder to rank, since while canonical power is pretty high, their combat ability is somewhat lacking. Characters like Faust and Delilah are extremely powerful, but it seems more like their power is a measure of their ability to bend reality rather than defeat foes. And then there's characters who haven't yet reached their potential, such as with Sin or Ramlethal, who have the physical power but don't apply themselves tactically. There's also those characters who aren't particularly powerful, but assert dominance through sheer combat prowess. Characters like Johnny, Baiken, or Ky.
i actually started tweaking from excitement when i saw there was like 3 mins of the video left and Faust still hadn’t been ranked yet. God i love Faust
Funny you mention that we'll never see Dizzy going all out cuz she's too nice, cuz in a drama CD of an alt universe (caused by I-No screwing around) where Ky dies in the battle of Rome (got ambushed by a Mega-Death gear, he dies of his wounds as Sol shows up), Dizzy (that also got screwed up by I-No) replaces Justice and does a damn good job being a menace! Tho we never really see the end cuz Asuka goes "Heyo fix this keep Ky alive" and I-No works her time magic; Ky stays alive, and we end up in the timeline we know as canon.
I did read about that, and it certainly is interesting. I didn't go over it in this video because it's an alternate universe, and the circumstances of Dizzy's upbringing in the current Guilty Gear timeline seems to have had an effect on how powerful she is and could be. But it's a great point and I'm glad you brought it up!
The fact that Slayer is kind of afraid of Gabriel is actually nuts, knowing how strong the guy is. And we haven't even seen Gabriel fight even once on-screen. Like, he seems to be a normal-ass dude too, no special Japanese genes, no primordial magical seeds, no Gear cells, no mutations, nothing - just these hands and a nose fit for stabbing.
@@thosebloodybadgers8499 Being scared doesn't mean being weaker. Similar with Potemkin - being immortal might actually make things much more unpleasant when confronted with absurd physical strength. That's why it's not so uncommon in anime to see characters being punished by buffing them (usually their mental capacities) just so they can experience their demise for longer.
Honestly, I wish we knew more about Sharon. If you can terrify a literally unkillable combat genius who's more laid back than your average dudebro, you've gotta be stupid powerful.
Jack’O gets depowered into a human at the end of Xrd, so I suspect that one reason she doesn’t do much in Strive is that she’s more vulnerable/killable now. (Or else Sol is being overprotective.)

i thought happy chaos being "immune...ish" to axl time stuff as actually a thing, since he saw him moving when time should be stopped in the storymode, and knowing him, he probably did that pretending to be frozen just to mess with axl
It's actually more than just that, Axl was able to speak directly to The Original (who we now know as Happy Chaos) in Guilty Gear Xrd Sign while he was stuck in the future. Happy Chaos even references this in Strive when he tells Axl, "Haven't seen you since 2192" (Guilty Gear takes place in the year 2187). So he's definitely able to experience and perhaps manipulate time in a non-linear way, we just have no idea how it works.
Im not sure if I agree with you but I recognize that "I realized this question is way more complicated than I first realized but I've put too much time into this to stop" tone of just pure frustration and I sympathize and will like and subscribe to slightly assuage your suffering.
I love, Love, LOVE how much effort you put into this! Usually, these types of videos do the bare minimum to justify their rankings- "This guy did this thing this one time so they're probably on this level" kinda shit. But this feels like someone who's actually super invested sat down and gave the topic a lot of thought.
Baiken deserves to be higher, but not because shes Japanese, but because of her interactions with Nagoriyuki. While arcade mode in Strive is questionably canon, but it does give us a GENERAL idea of character growth and interactions. One of the Arcade Modes that are treated as mostly Canon, though, is Baikens. During Baikens Arcade mode she beats Nago and all that, pretty normal to be honest, but Nago and Baikens special interactions IMPLIES that yes, Baikens arcade mode happened, and not only that but Baiken WON. Nagos statements of "If you teach, I will learn" implies that Nago looks up to Baiken as a teacher, also implying they have some sort of history, and the only time Nago and Baiken have interacted is story. Not only that, but it implies Baiken is generally the stronger of two, confirmed by there second interaction where Baiken tells him that if he wants to learn he must taste defeat. If Baikens Arcade mode is actually canon, as their interactions imply, this means that, according to Nago himself, he CANNOT win against Baiken at this point in time, firmly placing Baiken above Nago. So... yeah.
Did he use vampire powers? (because he may not have used them, as he did not use against Gio) Or did he just want to train the art of fencing with her, since they are both samurai?
@travistouchdown9 He used vampiric abilities, and was on defense because he immediately sensed something off against Baiken. He was so afraid of Baiken that he immediately went into defensive mode because he sensed something about her that made him nervous. Baiken is no Joke.
@@FlackBackTV Was it in an arcade that's not canon? Because even if there was a fight (the special interaction you mentioned), we can't know exactly how it happened. Rather, Nagoryuki simply wants not to rely on vampire abilities (he is not very happy to be a vampire), but on his fencing skills, so he wants Baiken to teach him fencing (well, let's be honest, she won't teach him vampire abilities).
@travistouchdown9 Some arcades are treated differently then others. I said at the beginning that it was arcade anyways at the beginning. For example, Happy Chaos' story clearly isn't Canon, but Bridget has a lot more in it going on and with some implications on how they're feeling and their general thoughts. Like I said in the original post, some hold more water then others (I.e Bridget) The only other time they could've interacted is Arcade, and sense they don't know each other from anywhere else, it is reasonable to assume so, especially because Nago immediately begins treating Baiken as though she were the better of the two. You don't ask someone to teach you if you don't think that they're better then you at whatever they're trying to teach you. Nago, by his own implications, actions, and even admission, sees Baiken as the better of the two.
@@FlackBackTV Baiken can only train him in fencing. It doesn't fit into your theory. And when could Nago meet Baiken? During the story? No. Before? He was sealed. After? He is not subject to Happy Chaos and Baiken is not Happy Chaos and INO so he would not use vampire abilities. But in order not to rely on vampire powers, he could learn fencing from the same samurai.
I really wish you had talked about Slayer at least a little because you seemed to just assume everyone knew about him but Strive is my first GG game so I'm not familiar with the lore and I'm sure that applies to a large part of the fanbase as well
Long story short: Slayer is a nigh-immortal vampire of absurd power. He fights other godlike beings just to ward off boredom, and throughout the series, he is heavily implied to be one of the strongest beings in existence. The only people who one could reasonably assume are stronger are the 'anime BS' characters who can literally manipulate time and/or reality, like Happy Chaos.
17:03 I agree with everything except Bridget, according to some parts of the lore she's considered to be the best bounty hunter out there AND she has Roger her Teddy bear which GET THIS, is a paracausal being, so I think she'd go somewhere in the top of Superhuman .
Well, the title of "Best Bounty Hunter" would probably go to Sol, but cheekiness aside, I actually did consider the fact that Bridget is a talented bounty hunter. The thing is, Bridget's bounty hunting is mostly done off-screen, so I don't really have much of a clue how she would stack up in comparison to the rest of the cast. I put her low on the tier list because I couldn't point to moment in the games that proves she belongs anywhere else unfortunately. She could probably go higher if she got more screen time, but my gut feeling tells me she probably wouldn't go much higher than bottom of Superhuman. Could be wrong though Edit: So another commenter pointed out that Bridget actually does have some results from X2 #Reload that I completely glossed over. I-no gave Bridget a fake list of bounties to take down, which included Baiken, Chipp, and Anji. Bridget managed to defeat all of them and turn them in. So yeah, in retrospect, Bridget would probably sit comfortably in Superhuman. Totally my bad, I should have known about that.
Hey, love the video but I wanna comment on Sol's placing, God I-No directly said that only Sol or the scales of juno could defeat her in Strive's story mode
You know, I knew that, and I still forgot about it. Just straight up didn't think about that lol. I do think that I-no ""technically"" has stronger powers than Sol, but it's true, she was never winning a fight against Sol lmao, that's my bad.
I understand is as her saying only Flame of Corruption can hurt her in her god form, commenting on Asuka's impeccable timing, not strength in general. After all, Sol admitted Ky is better than him, and only thing mr Kiske did was Dragon Instal into lose. Fortunately it turned out obamium was another thing that can hurt "god".
God I-No lost because they have Nago who can see everyone's weakness. Without it, Sol would ran out of battery before Ino herself died. Which is also why she afraid of Flame of Corruption, cos with it, Sol can fight Ino to eternity without losing any power and eventually beat her as well.
@@404_nowheresnotfound3nago literally says defeating you is still beyond me when fighting her a second time, and that she is his wall to overcome. It's pretty clear that she won
21:33 you're misunderstanding Faust, he's more powerful than Happy Chaos because of his cartoon abilities HOWEVER the trade off for that is he can never win.
Randomly got recommended this and I gotta say, you have a GREAT presentation style and are amazing at speaking. You’re so brief and easy to take in and it rules man. Keep it up dude
You’re a much braver man than I, although I fully respect the degree to which you own your opinions. I know this will probably get lost in the pile, but thanks for taking the time to put this together, it was a fun watch! I dig your sense of humor : )
i wish potemkin got more time to be the absolute brick shit house he is but still being as powerful as he is makes me smile, awesome vid btw, its so cool
I still don't fucking understand what was supposed to happen to Faust in Strive we see his soul leave but later in gameplay you can literally see his mini fausts shoving it back into him so is he just like on the brink of a depressive episode death or
Since Faust has access to the Toon Force, his power level is on par with Bugs Bunny, Ultra Instinct Shagy, and Goku. That means the only other character that should be able to put up a real fight against him in roster is Happy Chaos. Assuming Faust isn't also Happy Chaos.
friend, you don't know how difficult it was to find a video that has ALL the guilty gear characters! I know, I know, since I'm new I would only need to know about strive, but honestly, I want to take a look at all the characters in the franchise so, thanks for the video!
Pretty good list, here's my notes: Justice should absolutely be higher than ky. As seen in the promotional recap manga ky kiske during the holy order was absolutely dumbfounded by justice's power. Then when justice came back during the tournament (in a weakened form) nearly one shot ky and was only saved by sol badguy. DI sol should be in the same spot as Ino since she thought it was an actual threat that could kill her so much so the plan revolved around baiting asuka into removing DI from sol. Bedman is physically comparable to slayer since they both remove entire limbs from each other. Gabriel states that potemkin would have been able to defeat bedman if he knew what his tricks were. Implying potemkin is comparable to slayer in terms of physical strength, he's just a worse fighter without Regen. I'm assuming that this power is without his limiters since otherwise ramlethal would also scale since she beat potemkin Other than that no real notes. Admittedly even these are debatable Edit: turns out I had more notes Universal will should be higher than sol and ky, she fought sol, ky, and sin all at once and was frankly undamaged. She straight up tanked a 3x attack from sol. Following the logic of bedman being comparable to slayer in terms of physical strength, that should mean that base sol is physically more durable than slayer. But that leads to inconsistencies so it's more likely that bedman was referring to the fact that he couldn't kill sol because of dragon install. Either way bump bedman up a few slots to be closer to slayer.
This is some good feedback, but I want to touch on the Justice point in particular. If we were talking about Ky DURING THE CRUSADES, then yes, Justice would be stronger. But Ky has grown a lot stronger since the beginning of the franchise, so I'm fairly certain that current Ky would at least be capable of taking down Justice. Whether he'd be able to do it consistently like Sol can is up for debate/interpretation. Other than that, all the other points seem fair to me.
@@staiven ky is definitely a weird one. He goes from getting absolutely getting wrecked by sol to wrecking him just by fighting dirty Logistically holy war justice should be stronger than what she's actually shown. She has 100% of the scales of Juno(the same thing that even a drop of let Ky compete with god I-no) so she should be comparable to god I-no but yet she's still comparable to prime kliff undersn which would mean kliff could beat god-Ino? The only explanation would be that the scales of Juno didn't fully develop. Similar to how Sols dragon install changed over time and became more pronounced. Tldr: you right, you right
i think comparing any character to the xrd fight between slayer and bedman is probably not accurate at all. bedman states that hes using only 8% of his power, and slayer is just always sandbagging for fun ig so i dont think we'll ever see him at full strength.
@@isu152stalin2 DI sol should soundly be above the universal will. She basically taunts him with the fact he couldn't because of the information flares. Base sol was still capable of stalling against the universal will via his weapons 20x output, which he didn't get to use but it's charge up was enough to keep her from interrupting Ky and sin. DI should be dramatically stronger than the junkyard dog mk III.
Jam has a few interesting lines out there, especially when characters beat her in Accent Core. Notably, Slayer says to her " Keep practicing. With that technique, you might be able to outdo me one day." which is HIGH fucking praise.
I just finished watching your video that I put in the background while doing something else, and I gotta say it was really entertaining! (: The editing and transitions between ideas felt very smooth and well thought out, and the content was more educational and well research then most guilty gear lore analysis videos :P This is the first time I ever see your channel, and I just wanted to tell u how happily suprised I am with what I just watched :D
Imma agree with you, I'm a Faust main and I practically know nothing about him except the things you said already. He's an absolute mystery, but we can say for sure his magic capabilities are absurd.
As someone who has never played Guilty Gear and found your lore videos, you are my authority on the GG universe. You’ve sold me on this series so well, you should be behind the scenes at Arc Systems to round out the lore and make Happy Chaos even more powerful.
Ram, lore wise, is pretty much tamed in Strive. I doubt she went all out when encountering the bed on the train. She was holding back and was fighting defensively pretty much like Sin did. In Strive, she has become a military officer, a brigadier specifically, of the Illyria force. Considering her being the arcade final boss in Xrd -sign-, she could definitely go even with the bed if she just went all out like an emotionless killing machine as she was back then. In Strive, her personality has grown significantly thanks to her mentors like Bedman and Sin. She no longer has the desire to destroy and annihilate everything and everyone she meets. She now cherishes everything she sees and meets. It cost her a puppy to learn that lesson. I wouldn't say she's weaker now in the story. Rather, she is now more considerate and caring which definitely prevents her from going all out so easily when she's in combat.
Happy Chaos! Not only do people cry about him in the fgc, but hes literally the most entertaining and strongest antagonist currently in guilty gear. I REALLY HOPE they give us more story soon as he is in the backyard. Im very curious as to what hes gonna do now. Thank you for this video upload!!!!
Fun fact about Happy’s gun. Only 4-6 exist in the entire multiverse. He ofc wields one of them from that timeline. But if you ask, why does he have two if there are only six? Cause he cloned a perfect duplicate of the og gun. Why? Memes.
the funniest thing here is, now get this Sol, Ky and Sin where in a 3v1 with Ramlethal and she was winning and only lost because before she killed Sol because Elphelt shut her powers off as they can do that to each other so Ramlethal is canonically stronger then Sol, Ky and Sin combined
you may not see this, but i HAVE to say it i absolutely adore your guilty gear videos, you have such a great voice and humor alongside passion for its world and i could easily watch a thousand more GG videos from you or even other unrelated videos in that nature !
Well, I don't really care about the tier list itself cause watching you explains how characters powers and xombat style works in a fun way makes it so enjoyable that i tapped the subscribe button hoping for more fun and enjoyable content like this.😆👌
Ramlethal was supposed to be able to declare war on humanity and is SUCH A SHAME that all we got was her, sitting on a ship getting her thirst for blood softened by burgers and then dying the most stupid way, staying on the ground taking an explosion when SHE CAN LITERALLY FLY. why does everyone hold back so much in this series????
I don't think Happy Chaos is above Axl and Ino simply for the fact that his current state is because he only has half of Ino's powers, something he took because he saw that she would ascend to her god state when he came across her in the backyard (when he was still The Original) and then the UW forcibly merged into him turning him into Happy Chaos. Prior to that, he was still a human man with superb magic ability like Asuka but more extensive due to being the first to discover magic. And even with Ino's powers, the fact that it's hers still puts him below
to that my response would be that he was able to just yoink i-nos power from her like he just took it he mustve been obscenely powerful before that and now he does have half of i-nos power i think his placement is justified
You really think his magic was more extensive than Asuka earlier on? Cuz he probably developed it more over time. Usually the first version of something you make is the version that can be improved upon the most
@@shlrup6154 He didn't take all of it though, he was only able to yoink half and she was not in her completed god state yet or even close to it. He saw the state she was in and that if things were to continue (regarding the circumstance of being a magical foci), she would reach godhood. That Ino was nowhere near the level she is now. I don't doubt his powerful magical ability, but again I think he is still below her.
@@javianbrown8627 Considering he is Asuka's teacher, yes. Also Asuka says himself in the story mode that Chaos has 100 years more experience on him likely referring to how long he spent in the backyard trying to stop the UW.
I feel like Ky should be just above Sol. While Ky doesn't have anywhere near as much raw power as Sol, their Rev2 fight and the conversation around it makes it clear that Ky could have killed him at any time if he was serious about it.
It also makes it clear that if Sol was serious about beating Ky, he could just take his headband off. Ky's entire point in that scene is that Sol's request for a serious fair fight isn't possible because if Ky were fighting seriously, he wouldn't fight fair. I-No at the end of Strive story mode says that if Sol still had the flame of corruption he could beat her, but Dragon Install Ky still loses to her. Ky can't give Sol a real fair fight because if Sol Dragon Installs it's over
Ackshually 🤓 as we can Literally see What Fights God I-no is Ky Using an Incomplete Form Of the Dragon Install, and Ky Still Held Out his Foot against her (With Axl Help), so technically We Still Havent see it Ky At Full Strenght, as he States on Bridget Arcade mode His Body Is slowly turning in one of a Gear, So By That, If Ky had a Fully formed Dragon Install, He could have probably beat I-no 🤓🤓🤓
Dizzy always wins when she battles Ky, she did when they first met and she did recently when they sparred "for fun". She is stronger than Ky while not even trying to hurt him. Just saying.
The thing about ki is, since it's literally life force, everyone has it to some degree 🤔 We also know the Japanese can get that "disease" that turns them into Gears as a result of Justice fallout, and that disease is tied to ki, too. May's super strength is also said to be relaref to her being Japanese, so I don't think one's gotta be an active ki user for something like this, like for May everything seems like second nature, instead?
I have no strong opinions about this list whatsoever since idk most of the cast, but the editing and jokes all around this video was super entertaining despite my ignorance, great job!!
One correction, while ky loses in raw strength, in an actual fight ky wins, in the end of the xrd story ky overwhelms sol before he could dragon install and knocks sol on his ass.
I feel like we all know deep down that Dizzy is the most powerful character in the series. She just literally *never let's herself fight that hard.* Even *Sol* is terrified of her.
A.B.A's IK in AC+R is the truth door from FMA (which I'm sure is just a thing in alchemy in general). She's probably at least superhuman if IKs are Canonical strength
The Japanese aren't canonically "over powered" they're just considered "super human" by default. At minimum all japanese should go to super human but anything past that has to be looked at so...eh?
God imagine being one of the strongest beings (that we know of) and getting your ass kicked by an old man who doesn’t kill you and after they kick your ass they die of old age seconds later, you didn’t just lose to an old man you lost to someone literally opening deaths door
whenever you were explaining axl and how theres not really someone better than him i was thinking about ino specifically and then BOOM, there she is. beat character fr (and best theme)
Not by universe, but by a guy who was saved by a guy who got made into protagonist by a guy who started all this bs. Ky is not just some random guy, he is the main random guy.
So you’re telling me this guy has only almost 7k subs yet makes content more interesting than half my UA-cam recommended? Theres no way. Anyway, subscriber added to the pile :)
So, i actually think bed is top 1 in the verse, even putting all my biase aside, just mainly because of feats alone, the reason bedman says that he cant break sol its because most of his dream manipulation powers works through the powers of the backyard, and sol being the flame of corruption its immune to the powers related to the backyard, thats what bedman meant, and overall if we scale him around slayer, bedman without even using dream world was having a tie game with slayer going all out, slayer was basically giving all he had to offer, and bedman was keeping up with him, and 2 seconds after he reveals that all that time he was only using 8% of his power, so yeah, if we scale him around slayer, an 8% power bedman can square up with the strongest in the verse, theres no doubt he is top 1 for me
I don't think the top 3 are in any way debatable. The time manipulators are the most powerful entities in the entire Guilty Gear verse, period. Especially since in Strive Axl can now control his powers so it solidifies the top 3 even more.
@@JP_KI though happy chaos explained that people with no ID such as himself and bedman who are demi humans persist between timelines, they are effectly out of the universe equation, so because bedman deleted his ID, wouldnt that mean that even by altering the timeline nothing would change? @@andreadicastro8525I mean In the current timeline he doesn't exist. He's dead. But even if Bedman doesn't exist in any one timeline at this point he is still bound by the boundaries of the games. And If we are to believe Axl's powers he could just thanos snap the entire franchise. Make it so Guilty Gear never happened. Since he refuses to use his powers we obviously don't know for certain, but it has been eluded to in many occasions that he could be the single most powerful entity in existence with his hax. Stuff like how he was able to overpower the abilities of a literal God I-no in the Strive story with basically no effort supports this for example, but again, no one but Daisuke could confirm his "true" abilities since he can actually never use them. Now, Bedman would obviously win by a landslide if we were to only look at feats or maybe even combat prowess as he went 1 on 1 with someone like Slayer with no issues, but only because the top 3 actually can't show their full powers without some rather large oopsies in the franchise.

So basically Australium from TF2 but magic and played completely straight, gotcha.
You're right about the Japanese and you should say it.
Jack-O is definitely godlike and somewhere around Justice and for the same reasons, no questions asked. She just... doesn't do anything. Sometimes to the story's great detriment. Also, you totally could just put every Guilty Gear character into Godlike if you weren't a coward.

I love the Faust placement because it makes perfect sense. God I love Faust
i actually started tweaking from excitement when i saw there was like 3 mins of the video left and Faust still hadn’t been ranked yet.
I'd argue pot is firmly in Godlike tier as Slayer is *genuinely* afraid of being grabbed by his Heavenly Potemkin Buster in Xrd

The fact that Slayer is kind of afraid of Gabriel is actually nuts, knowing how strong the guy is. And we haven't even seen Gabriel fight even once on-screen.

Could be wrong though

Pretty good list, here's my notes:
Justice should absolutely be higher than ky.
I'm assuming that this power is without his limiters since otherwise ramlethal would also scale since she beat potemkin
Other than that no real notes. Admittedly even these are debatable
Edit: turns out I had more notes
Universal will should be higher than sol and ky, she fought sol, ky, and sin all at once and was frankly undamaged.
He goes from getting absolutely getting wrecked by sol to wrecking him just by fighting dirty
Logistically holy war justice should be stronger than what she's actually shown.
@@TankirbWould DI Sol make it any difference against the Universal Will though? Or he would still remain lower but on par with her?
@@isu152stalin2 DI sol should soundly be above the universal will. She basically taunts him with the fact he couldn't because of the information flares. Base sol was still capable of stalling against the universal will via his weapons 20x output, which he didn't get to use but it's charge up was enough to keep her from interrupting Ky and sin. DI should be dramatically stronger than the junkyard dog mk III.
I like that no matter what form the content takes nobody knows what to do with Faust he truly is an eldritch horror
Are you telling me obama fried this rice?
Jam has a few interesting lines out there, especially when characters beat her in Accent Core.
Notably, Slayer says to her " Keep practicing. With that technique, you might be able to outdo me one day." which is HIGH fucking praise.
I just finished watching your video that I put in the background while doing something else, and I gotta say it was really entertaining! (: The editing and transitions between ideas felt very smooth and well thought out, and the content was more educational and well research then most guilty gear lore analysis videos :P
This is the first time I ever see your channel, and I just wanted to tell u how happily suprised I am with what I just watched :D
I screamed and sob so hard when Robo Ky was sent the bottom tier
I think it's the first time I 100% agree with a tier list, cool video.
Aint the valentines way stronger? I’m pretty sure Sol struggled to beat Ramlethal on his own
As a Faust main, I approve of his placement.
Also, dumb idea: which Guilty Gear character would be the best at Guilty Gear?
Asuka would learn every single detail of Guilty Gear and be the most creative and smartest player. Sol Badguy would use Sol and spam Dp on wake up.
@@Greyman-Gaming Yeah but Asuka's reflexes would still suck ass. It would be Happy Chaos no questions asked. And he would 100% be a Faust main.
@@8bitbreadboxhappy chaos would NOT pick up Strive faust (no one would) he would instead pick up Xrd Faust on Strive
9:34 excuse me, AGAIN?! Thsi is the first video i watched on this channel is there some lore i'm missing?
Sol actually had 3 sacred treasures by Xrd, he got the third one during the canonical pachinko game story.
Remember he can become a protagonist, supporting cast or antagonist at the drop of a hat consider his intro interaction when he fights himself
Fun fact about Happy’s gun. Only 4-6 exist in the entire multiverse. He ofc wields one of them from that timeline. But if you ask, why does he have two if there are only six? Cause he cloned a perfect duplicate of the og gun. Why? Memes.
He also only uses the copied one in gameplay, except for Deus Ex Machina
the funniest thing here is, now get this Sol, Ky and Sin where in a 3v1 with Ramlethal and she was winning and only lost because before she killed Sol because Elphelt shut her powers off as they can do that to each other so Ramlethal is canonically stronger then Sol, Ky and Sin combined
That would mean the bed is even stronger than those 3 because again, it held it’s own against Baiken, Ram and Sin
@@minibotas9496 because Bedman? is equal to strength of slayer and at full power when he was alive was stronger then happy chaos
5:13 but chipp has never actually made a bad decision, between xrd and strive hes been completely right in all his appearances
you may not see this, but i HAVE to say it i absolutely adore your guilty gear videos, you have such a great voice and humor alongside passion for its world and i could easily watch a thousand more GG videos from you or even other unrelated videos in that nature !
Well, I don't really care about the tier list itself cause watching you explains how characters powers and xombat style works in a fun way makes it so enjoyable that i tapped the subscribe button hoping for more fun and enjoyable content like this.😆👌
Tier list is excellent and i couldn't agree more
Man! I sure do love the more frequent uploads!
I think the most fair way to rank faust would be to put his won tier between superhuman and approaching godlike to be honest
And even with Ino's powers, the fact that it's hers still puts him below
to that my response would be that he was able to just yoink i-nos power from her
like he just took it
he mustve been obscenely powerful before that and now he does have half of i-nos power
i think his placement is justified
I would also like to point out that he has I-No’s power *on top* of what he has already.
IVE BEEN WAITNG FOR THIS VIDEO FOR SO LONGGGG
One correction, while ky loses in raw strength, in an actual fight ky wins, in the end of the xrd story ky overwhelms sol before he could dragon install and knocks sol on his ass.
Was thinking about this last week so this is really good timing great vid dude
Faust’s tier position depends on what items he pulls
I feel like we all know deep down that Dizzy is the most powerful character in the series. She just literally *never let's herself fight that hard.* Even *Sol* is terrified of her.
A.B.A's IK in AC+R is the truth door from FMA (which I'm sure is just a thing in alchemy in general). She's probably at least superhuman if IKs are Canonical strength
The Japanese aren't canonically "over powered" they're just considered "super human" by default. At minimum all japanese should go to super human but anything past that has to be looked at so...eh?
The way I'd put it is, if happy chaos is in creative mode. Faust has command blocks but only does stupid shit like faster than light horses
God imagine being one of the strongest beings (that we know of) and getting your ass kicked by an old man who doesn’t kill you and after they kick your ass they die of old age seconds later, you didn’t just lose to an old man you lost to someone literally opening deaths door
whenever you were explaining axl and how theres not really someone better than him i was thinking about ino specifically and then BOOM, there she is.
beat character fr (and best theme)
bro forgot that Paracelsus is one of the strongest beings in the series and put ABA in Eh?
"Ky is just some random guy" who was chosen by the universe to inherit The Scales of Juno.
i don't know what that means but i'm guessing it means he's pretty special
Not by universe, but by a guy who was saved by a guy who got made into protagonist by a guy who started all this bs.
Ky is not just some random guy, he is the main random guy.
@@Hostefar He married and had a child with a dragon lady (Dizzy) and got a bit of her godly powers in the process.
Fantastic video! Always puts a smile on my face whenever I see an upload!
bridgette can beat justice and faust at the same time
So you’re telling me this guy has only almost 7k subs yet makes content more interesting than half my UA-cam recommended?
Like he doesnt exist
Now, Bedman would obviously win by a landslide if we were to only look at feats or maybe even combat prowess as he went 1 on 1 with someone like Slayer with no issues, but only because the top 3 actually can't show their full powers without some rather large oopsies in the franchise.
this content is just too good. please post more
