Monster cells do just that, among other things, since we know that you can die from eating them or you survive and get a boost in power. What does this have to do with Boros? Well we know that his species comes from a planet with a very hostile environment and that they all evolved a healing factor. Meaning they would have most likely almost died but regenerated countless of times and gotten stronger because of this. Also meteoric burst is said to shorten Boros life span i.e. putting him closer to death when using it. In conclusion, Boros doesnt have monster forms, its just that the mechanism for getting stronger is the same for everyone and leads to similiarities results. Even the S class are sometimes portrayed as monster because of their insane strength. Becoming more monster like seems to just be how people get stronger in opm.

Psychorochi only got a boost to make the fusion sucessful, because most of her power comes from Orochi himself
I really love that you have so many people fight at their own level such as the two council or swordsman members fighting. It shows the possibility of their abilities without instantly killing them with overpowered characters.

I'll be honest this was... *AMAZING* so much work and dedication and so much creativity and fun to the project the idea was excellent and the processing was the best that could be possible and I really regret that this will not be animated and maybe the fight between Boros and Orochi was the most amazing thing I've ever heard in my life, because if it ever gets animated, I believe it will be the best fight in the history of anime, definitely for me because that shit hits hard. If there was an OPM what if, I would want to be the director. Anyway, I didn't expect that my attention would be kept for the whole 9 hours and I'll be looking forward to the next parts.

This is so good damn. I like how you don't really treat it as a replacement for season 2 but a deviation. If this didn't exist, I could totally see this as an alternate timeline type of show along the line once one punch man gets bigger (actually gets animated) Underrated as hell 11/10
At first I thought it was unrealistic that Tatsumaki would talk to Boros as an equal, especially that she was so compassionate, but remembering that she usually has respect for whoever she considers "strong" and the fact that Boros can actually kill her if I would like it and she knows it, it makes it more understandable why her behavior is more docile than normal. good content, love it Aldeady in part 14, I feel sorry for phoenix man, yet i love the contrast of this and te web comic fight between Garou and Saitama "You'll never defeat me" phrase
Thanks! Though part of it is also down to some other things like him saving everyone (especially saving Fubuki) and Tatsumaki somewhat being able to relate to him because they're both too strong compared to everyone else around them.
Your remake of part 2 is actually pretty interesting. It’s so easy to forget that Orochi can adapt to such a high degree especially because of his monsterization. The only reason he was able to push Boros to the brink of death was because of his hax with energy stealing. Orochi’s power gain from adaptation and technique along with Boros’s nerf from the energy drain actually matched them up really well. I can also see why Boros may not have desired that kind of fight though despite it being one with his life truly at risk because it’s quite a long ways from a conventional brawl. Well, I assume that’s the kind of fight he desires because that’s his fighting style and if I remember correctly his design was modeled after Goku. Who knows though. It does seem a bit inconsistent with later parts but good nonetheless

Had to laugh at the end with King being put on the God Slayer Squad, pity his King Engine didn't kick off and cause everyone to feel the intensity of his battle lust at the news. Also surprised at what a cool team Boros and Tatsumaki make. I actually kind of hope Boros helps Tats train to strengthen her powers so she can fight better both by herself and in emergency situations where she can reinforce him even more effectively than before. I means its really cool that Boros can recharge her power reserves which she can use to strengthen him in turn.
Just reached the end here, gotta say, this series is damn good, even best i saw Tatsuboros vibe is strong here, and given a chance to monsters for them to reform is something really interesting But i cant imagine the reaction of atomic samurai and bang knowing that boros left pheonix man and goketsu to roam freely Pheonix man have a great potential to redeem himself, unless he would do some seft sacrifies stuffs next season I feel fear of the second season if it would get alot darker, i assume several main characters will die? Sure hope not tatsumaki, she seems to have alot better relation with everyone, and her life seems alot brighter in this story Overall i can say for a fanfiction standard story wise it is one of a few i would call actual masterpiece, alternate universe even

I myself preferred the original “part 2” of this series. But one punch man is such a wacky serious series I expect something like that to happen I can’t wait to see how the manga ends so this series can have a finale. Deep down I hope for boros to break his limiter, so he and Saitama can have an even fight And fight god
I can understand why. It was a choice between having a more thrilling fight or a more consistent story. But I also kind of wanted to have it in there to show what the quality is like in later episodes as well after the first part, which wasn't very well voiced or edited that much.
Fun fact, originally there was supposed to be a scene of Boros in his human disguise arm wrestling with Darkshine and having some cracks appear in the armor on his hand before calling an end to the match. It got cut unfortunately because plans shifted at parts 8-9 and there was no longer an opportunity for that.

The boros vs orochi fight near the beginning was especially creative, though canonical boros would be able to one tap platnium s, sage centipede and psykorochi
tatsumaki also obliterated psykorochi after she was no longer suppressed by moving the other heroes to safety
Boros: hmm can't let Sage Centipede drill into the core of the Earth, that'll cause too much damage
Also boros: PLANETARY DEVASTATION IMPACT!!!

I myself preferred the original “part 2” of this series. But one punch man is such a wacky serious series I expect something like that to happen

Deep down I hope for boros to break his limiter, so he and Saitama can have an even fight

I can understand why. It was a choice between having a more thrilling fight or a more consistent story. But I also kind of wanted to have it in there to show what the quality is like in later episodes as well after the first part, which wasn't very well voiced or edited that much.

Fun fact, originally there was supposed to be a scene of Boros in his human disguise arm wrestling with Darkshine and having some cracks appear in the armor on his hand before calling an end to the match. It got cut unfortunately because plans shifted at parts 8-9 and there was no longer an opportunity for that.
