- Today we rank the Monster Association Cadres from weakest to strongest. This is an extensive list, including Black S, Golden S, Platinum S, Overgrown Rover, Homeless Emperor, Gums, Gyoro Gyoro, Psychos, Evil Natural Water, Fuhrer Ugly, Vomited Fuhrer Ugly, Elder Centipede, Nyan and Gouketsu.

One-Punch Man (Japanese: ワンパンマン, Hepburn: Wanpanman) is a Japanese superhero manga series created by One. It tells the story of Saitama, a superhero who, because he can defeat any opponent with a single punch, grows bored from a lack of challenge. One wrote the original webcomic manga version in early 2009.
A digital manga remake, illustrated by Yusuke Murata, began publication on Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump website in June 2012. Its chapters are periodically compiled and published into individual tankōbon volumes. As of November 2022, 27 volumes have been released. In North America, Viz Media has licensed the remake manga for English language release and has serialized it in its Weekly Shonen Jump digital magazine.
An anime adaptation produced by Madhouse was broadcast in Japan from October to December 2015. A second season, produced by J.C.Staff, was broadcast from April to July 2019. A third season has been announced. Licensed in North America by Viz Media, it premiered in the United States on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block in July 2016. The second season premiered on the block in October 2019.
By June 2012, the original webcomic manga surpassed 7.9 million hits. By April 2020, the manga remake had sold over 30 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.
The Monster Association consists of around 500 monsters, about 30 of which are disaster level Demon or higher. The Boss (ボス, Bosu) is the Monster King, Orochi, although the organization is actually overseen by the Military Advisor (参さん謀ぼう, Sanbō), Gyoro Gyoro (who is actually a puppet of Psykos, the creator of Orochi). Directly below them in ranks are the Executives (幹かん部ぶ, Kanbu), also known as Cadres (referred to as Leaders in the Viz Media), who are specially promoted by Gyoro Gyoro.[2]
The Monster Association is founded on the belief that one monster alone will eventually fall, but all of them together can defeat the heroes. Many monsters believe that they are stronger than the heroes; Gyoro Gyoro has to remind them that this will be their downfall,[3] though sometimes he uses this to his advantage.[4][5]
The goal of the Monster Association is to end the Hero Association and create a world of monsters ruled by Monster King Orochi.[6] However, most members only joined forces for the former and do not view Orochi as their king,[7] but they do acknowledge his great power.[8] The plan is to lure the Hero Association into a decisive showdown.[9] There are three primary objectives that are required to make this plan feasible:[10]

I don't know about that one man, I mean Genos always does this, in the tounrnment in the second season of OPM, Genos thought that Suiyru was going to "satisfy Saitama's desires" or something like that, which implies he (Suiyru) could make a work of Saitma, which we all know is not true at all.

One of my understandings from the elder centipede fight was that bang and bomb were poorly suited to fight such a massive creature since they are martial artists. In my mind this is why bang can fight awakened garo later but cant beat elder centipede with bomb, they are designed to fight humonoid opponents. Dont know if this is a real thing or just my own assumptions

However, Garou took out Sage Centipede with martial arts, so it’s not entirely impossible.

And beating The centepides requires Pure strength like King and Saitama, so Garou did it cause of his strength not his martial arts
Rover tanking a punch from saitama and getting back up right after like nothing happened is an o.p feat in itself

Its not impressive at all actually, because Saitama litteraly said he wasn't trying to kill Rover, just knock him out. By the same logic, Bakuzan, Sourface and Chose are all rover level since they got up after Saitama punched them.
Rover's true feat is tanking Garou, Bang and Bomb, which should put his durability above Elder Centipede.
Saitama was holding back heavily. He basically viewed Rover as a misbehaving puppy. That punch was not intended to kill or even seriously harm Rover. It was like giving a naughty child a little spank.

Golden S being multi-continental isn't that big of a stretch, since again, cities in OPM are COUNTRY sized. So being dragon level already puts you at the very least in continental

Also also, moving at a speed of light easily puts you in multi-continental scale, according to IRL physics.
The closer you move to the speed of light, the more mass you form. So, if Golden S were to slam dunk the planet/city etc, at that speed it would be no different to Omni-man flying through the Flaxan’s planet and demolishing continents in mere moments
There are arguments to counter the supposed "Country sized" cities. The Golden S calc is straight up wrong, so not usable.

i like this bc it means that watchdogman (best character, fight me) stops every single monster in the entire country (and there's no way city Q is the size of a small country its probs the size of brazil or something )
One thing about Gouketsu is that he was most likely meant to be either Silver Fang or Darkshine’s matchup. Neither had a designated opponent, and I doubt Psychos would just ignore those two and hope for the best. Given how well Psycho’s other matchups went, Gouketsu probably scales above Darkshine and possibly even Silver Fang.
I'd say he'd be Darkshine's, with Elder Centipede being Bang's. Elder is a better match-up against Bang, and Darkshine's only loss until that point was to a martial artist in Bang.

Phoenix Man talked about the importance of matchups when he picked up Garou - it suggests characters that, overall scale higher can still be defeated by someone lower ranked, or distracted.
For all we know, Psykos wanted to call Overgrown Rover because there's a chance Tatsumaki would be distracted by the sight of that cute puppy enough to give her the upper hand. Also, Psykos is clearly very bad with dogs, which is why Rover, the goodest boy, doesn't respect her authority.
Don’t forget Suiryu saw Saitama one-shot Bakuzan (on top of fought and lost to Saitama prior) and he STILL 100% believed that Gouketsu would still kill Saitama and was basically mourning for Saitama. So it’s not just Genos but also Suiryu (who was one of the few characters who immediately knew Saitama being very strong so his “genius perception” is probably stronger than his skills much like a Black S. In that way, Gouketsu is legendary in everyone who talks about him (including Gyro Gyro and Orochi called him by name). I feel like with a lack of feats, in everyone’s mind he was top dog.

Extra note about Gouketsu: when Genos imagines the S class heroes facing him, Tatsumaki is there and Genos has seen Tatsumaki stop the shells from Boros’ ship and assault it from the ground, possibly putting Gouketsu above the attack that wiped out city A, at least in terms of attack potency (obviously not scale). Doesn’t really change the ranking, but just something I thought of while editing.
And he also saw Darkshine fight Carnage Kabuto in the simulation and was like yeah Gouketsu is on another level

1.)Psyrochi is the most powerful.
2.) Orochi/ God Boosted plus Elixir Psykos. Orochi was winning the merger until she was boosted by god meaning she became his equal or greater.
3.) Sage Centipede/ EOW. Both scale above Platinum S.
4.) Platinum S.
5.) Gyro Gyro thought she was greater than heavily suppressed Tatsumaki.
6.) Elder Centipede. Psykos believed only the 4 most powerful S class heros could defeat it.
7.) Overgrown Rover
8.) Golden Sperm/ Homeless Emperor. Golden has great durability and strength but Holmeless has greater attacl power. They also pretty much acted as equals.

11.) Nyan

13.) Fhrur Ugly

Gokestu is hard to scale he's probably on par with Golden Sperm and Homeless or above. His lack of feats, statements, or abilities make it very hard to rank vs say someone like Nyan who IMO clearly defeats base black S, Gums, amd Fhrur Ugly being a terrible match up for them. He beats Homeless as well but Homeless can nuke him and win as well.
What you say is perhaps true about homeless emperor. easiest & simplest way to determine how his bombs can be countered by characters like Spring Mustachio & Iaian and be considered to be a threat to Fatigued Tatsumaki and demolish Vomitted Furhrer Ugly is that he can pretty much regulate or manipulate his output casually. This would be the easiest explanation to how his scaling can vary and be inconsistent, and the form in which he casually manhandled Vomitted Furher Ugly who could clash with Darkshine should put him much higher as he accomplishes this feat pretty casually without using his full power.

Gyro Gyro also saw King straight up and misjudged King’s strength. So I think Gyro Gyro “analyzes” in a logical fashion as opposed to truly reading power levels.

@@jx8903possible. But I still think almost no one truly demonstrated power reading abilities. Monster god misjudged, Gyro Gyro makes mistakes. No one can just scan King and just realize that he is weak and Saitama is strong. The only people who noticed Saitama is really strong is Carnage Kabuto’s survival instincts, and also Suiryu (but he still felt Saitama would die FOR SURE against Gouketsu even though he saw Saitama no diff himself and the other six arms guy (too lazy to look up exact spelling now)
@@OctalysisPrimeYT Gyoro Gyoro does have power reading abilities, it's stated, the entire MA ranking system is based on her power reading hax, she making a mistake with Tatsumaki just means that she is THAT strong for her power to not be read properly by her (and she is), Boros could also sense Saitama's strenght but couldn't measure exactly how strong he was, well, this is the same with GG and Tats.

Gyo Gyos remark on who could kill goketsu shouldn't be taken too serious since it can mean anything. Was gyo gyo surprised that goketsu got killed at all or did had gyo gyo had people like blast, tatsumaki, metal knight or king in mind and asked herself who of them was it.

Their strenght are kinda different tho.. Psykos was able to stop Tatsu when she took down the other cadre easily.. but that is because she is a psychic aswell. Elder Centipede also gave Bang and Bomb a harder time due to his size.. and Bang defeated 2 Cadres. Fuhrer Ugly also has the advantage against Amai Mask.. and Evil Water and Sperm has the advantage against physical fighters but not tankier ones like Darkshine or long range/crowd control/destruction type like Genos or Tatsu.

EDIT: forgot to say, bang was fighting sleeping monster garou, so he was pretty much heavily suppressed
The hing about that is: Awakening Breath is stated to draw out the body's maximum potential and the Heart Release Fist is stated to push the body beyond the limits, so in terms of sheer stats, Garou's body was at its limit and even beyond it. He had to have been going all out when it comes to sheer stats. Plus the only comparison ever made between sleeping Garou and awake Garou is that his muscle coordination is better when he's awake and he can presumably fight smarter. That's pretty much it from what I can tell.

as someone who mostly remembers the webtoon over the manga, these placements are all pretty out of order from where I would have imagined them in my head. The manga panel where golden sperm oneshots fuhrer ugly? yeah in the webtoon it's the exact same scene except the person he oneshot was tatsumaki. An injured tatsumaki to be fair, although in the webtoon he's easily scaled well above all the other cadre without a single doubt
The panel of Golden S one shotting Ugly is actually fan made and supposed to mirror the webcomic. . The actual scene in he manga is super underwhelming. Golden S just throws a few punches at Ugly, knocks him to the ground and Ugly crawls away.
Platinum Sperm is faster than Golden Sperm, and likely similarly durable tooo, but can't possibly be physically stronger. Golden Sperm one shot Darkshine, who is stated plainly, multiple times, to be the most durable of all heroes. Platinum Sperm's attacks were tanked by the likes of Atomic Samurai, Flashy Flash, and even PURI PURI PRISONER AND IAIAN. Bottom class S heroes can survive his hits.

Nobody ‘tanked’ Platinum S, he pretty much one shot everyone besides Flash who’s more durable than Darkshine via taking Awakened Garou’s MCGSF when Spiral Garou was able to match Darkshine’s physical strength and draw blood from him with certain weaker martial arts technique
This is by far the most accurate ranking I've seen, though my only question would be where does Nyan seriously rank? I'd assume Nyan ranks above ENW but below VFU
Nyan doesn't have many showings unfortunately. The best I can say about him is that he scales to Drive Knight, who can tango with Jet Psyrochi. But Jet Psyrochi doesn't really have concrete scaling either.
If I had to say, I'd probably have Nyan above Gums in the ranking. He could be higher, but we just didn't get enough from him for me to rank him any higher personally.

A very good video honestly. You took your time comparing them all. However, there are a few things that should be mentioned:
- First, where is Nyan? Low tier? Mid tier would also be possible.
- Secondly, Further Ugly is also mid tier. You forgot to mention that he is one of the fastest cadre with high attack speed as well as flexible movements. His durability is also one of the highest. You don't kill him that fast. He tooks Bang's attacks, after that he was eaten directly by Gums and survived his bite force, fought his way out of it, and survived his stomach acid as well. More importantly, he formed a symbiosis with it. And the fact that he comes back stronger and stronger the more damage he suffers mentally and physically coupled with his durability is pretty damn powerful. You have to kill him immediately, if you can't, he'll keep coming back until he's overtaken his opponent in power. And the fact that "his" acid is also affected by that and gets also stronger, is really fucking crazy. This also means that he can theoretically defeat Goketsu, especially because he attacks unpredictably, as if driven by pure madness. And thanks to his meat manipulation, he can grow to a similar size. Goketsu's attacks wouldn't be enough to kill Ugly directly and if he thinks that, he maybe won't see Ugly's attacks coming fast enough.
rover is the only cadre that taken a punch by saitama and leaves like nothing even if saitama is holding back and which you can agree he is holding back the entire anime i think rover deserves more

I’m only here to say no matter the ranking , when it comes to pure terror there’s no monster that compares to furher ugly . That thing was disturbed & I got my own theory that the Ugimon are the only true monsters in OPM verse . Cause the stuff he was doing was straight up sick

Psykos is most definitely not stronger than Elder Centipede stop making shit up. She has no feats other than a shitty statement that can easily be disproven by the fact that Tatsumaki is stronger than Psykorochi who’s multiple times stronger than Psykos.
Nyan also has a god awful spot, he shouldn’t be compared with these fodder.

I'm not that far in the manga yet but I think Homeless Emperor's orbs attack both the physical and the spiritual. They don't do that much damage to the physical aspect of the target but major spiritual damage to the target. That's my theory anyways.
Gyro gyro definitely miscalculated; wasnt metal knight on the list of heros that could 'take' Centichurro? How much damage did Lefoy's unit do to him when engaging? How can an esper respectfully think they can 'handle' Tats? Not a good showing of sensing power levels...
Gyoro thought Bofoi's full military might was the thing that could take down Centichoro. When Metal Knight fought him it was only a single drone. And we actually see that misses from said drone actually made Elder wince a little in the manga. So imagine hundreds of drones and whatever else Bofoi has in his arsenal.

Bang/bomb couldn't do well vs EC because of their styles, they're martial artists, this is outright stated too (the fact that they're suited to fight humanoid opponents).
I would also put gouketsu above rover, rover likely has more dura but gouketsu's AP, technique and IQ are all much higher.
Fianlly, I would put black S much higher. Simply because the trillions of cells

10. Nyan

I wouldn't consider Sage Centipide a Cadre because he was never mentioned before, but if he were on the list, he would be top 3 above Platinum Sperm

1. Psychorochi is undoubtedly the most powerful since it is the fusion of two top executives and can cut a part of the earth's surface with a single attack.
2. Evil Ocean Water is fucking broken, If it weren't for Saitama, I have no idea who would be able to kill it because it is LITERALLY WATER, HOW DO YOU FIGHT AGAINST THAT?
3. Platinum Sperm doesn't have much surprise, rivaled awakened Garou and is able to defeat the entire S class except Tatsumaki
4. Overgrown Rover is best boy, He has tanked a normal punch from Saitama and then stood up as if nothing had happened, that same punch killed Orochi before the redraw, that level of resistance and considering that his energy attacks are similar to those of Homeless Emperor, leaves him as a very balanced Cadre.
5. Elder Centipide was also a Cadre that presumably no one could defeat except Saitama, Tatsumaki and Blast, he's hard as fuck.
6. Gouketsu demonstrated that there were levels even among the dragon level, humiliating Bakuzan, another dragon level, but he died with a normal blow from Saitama.
7. Gyoro Gyoro is often underrated but is one of the most powerful espers, being able to cause a pressure of 300 atmospheres, but was easily humiliated by Tatsumaki.
8. Homeless Emperor has great reflexes and can manipulate energy balls capable of evaporating almost everything, but his physical resistance is that of a human, very unbalanced.
9. Vomited Fuhrer Ugly, I put him in this top because Homeless Emperor is capable of humiliating him by playing with him as if he were a toy with his energy balls, Although physically he is very strong and his gastric juices are capable of melting almost everything, Bang easily humiliated him by redirecting his attacks.
10. Nyan, very fast, cutting attacks, very agile and elusive, little more than that, he was afraid of Puri Puri Prisoner, the second weakest S class and Drive Knight cooked him.
11. Gums, he eats, and that's all

Gyoro gyoro simply cannot gaze her own power imo. She feels quite weak.

Personally I think Gouketsu is about Rover, ES, Gyoro Gyoro, Psykos and GS but this ranking still seem more fair than many

That's fair, but I personally do not think Gouketsu has the feats or narrative to place him that high.
It is explicitely stated by Fubuki that the effect of her reinforcement is temporary. It shouldn't be a factor in anything after the Rover fight IMO.
@@SatorisYT I think just those feats are enough and combine with the fact that Gouketsu hadn't shown to go all out. Genos overrating him is enough for the narrative. Plus, his combat skills and battle Intelligence should be vastly superior to those I mentioned
Who knows, she never said how long the effect last or she probably gave them again off-screen. It would be really weird that the only time Bang could go all out is when fighting Rover

Bang says he'll go all out one last time against Garou. He is definitely going all out. Fubuki implies her boost does not last very long and she physically could not have given them another buff off-screen because she had spent all her energy healing Tank Top Master and Genos. Plus she also amped Tank Top Master against the remains of Psyrochi and then Tank Top lost it pretty quickly afterwards, so no, I do not believe Bang was amped by Fubuki against Garou.

Fubuki the boost is temporary, nothing else. There's no specific time limit. And she could have amped them again before Genos and TTM, I don't really know what you meant by "against the remains of Psykorochi", I'm pretty sure she only amped TTM to Fat TTM and he never lose that form in the rest of the arc.

"Against the remains of Psyrochi" when Tatsumaki twists Psyrochi, she turns into a jet and then various heroes attack her. Fubuki amps Tank Top Master to throw rubble at her.
Tank Top Master remaining fat for the rest of the arc means he remained fat for like 10-20 minutes max, which is longer than the time frame between Bang vs Rover and Bang vs Garou I believe.
Fubuki passes out after healing Genos and she's always using other people's power to heal others after that point. She isn't completely out, yeah, but she should be extremely low on energy.
Regardless, I don't see the point in continuing this discussion. The boost is unquantifiable, so it doesn't really change anything even if Bang was amped.

imo black s is just massivly underrated here. 54 trillion is an unimaginable amout. he is defenetly weird to rank cuase he is all endurance but in a 1v1 i think he could definetly beat the mid tier and some high tier. (if you say 1 billion cells are killded each day the fight would literally last 150 years)
True, but then his fights just become stalemates because he has no way to kill most of the upper Cadres. Plus if his opponent is fast enough or has wide enough range, they could potentially destroy all the Black S bodies present on the battle field right at the start and stop them from splitting too much that way. Even if there's theoretically trillions of cells, they don't matter if there's no Black S left to split.
For me golden s scale as strong or even weaker than gouketsu, he won against furrugly because he was unafected by the poison and beat a mentally destroyed black brillant but he was getting wrecked by atomic samouraï special blade, I don’t see golden S winning against elder centepide and I think gouketsu destroys him with his martial arts

Shouldn’t the fact that Psykos/Gyoro Gyoro thought King was capable of beating Elder Centipede call her ability to gage power into question? Or are we chalking this up to King’s weird brand of plot armor that prevents nearly anyone from figuring out he’s actually weak?
The canon explanation for King not getting found out by characters who can sense power is that they think he's just hiding it. We see it in a bonus chapter where Child Emperor makes a mask that measures power levels and King comes out as immeasurable because his power is too low to be measured, but Child Emperor just assumed he's to strong to be measured. And several characters throughout the series note that they can't sense any power coming from King and that he must be good at hiding it.
