Probably almost the best video I watched for doing this
I did this yesterday I took the risk after de badging. I used a heat gun, an eraser wheel on a drill, and some goo gone at the end just as a precaution. It worked out very well and I’m happy with the look
I'm thinking about removing mine and my main concern is the residual lines not blending. It sounds like it went smoothly for you, do you have any advice or anything you would have done or used differently?
@@brew1320 i would recommend a good wash and buffing the areas when you’re finished just to blend the clear coat a bit for the areas that haven’t been exposed to the elements.
Nicely Done! Bought a used 2007 Silverado, the door trim is like yours and lifting at the edges. Was going to try 3M tape and a vinyl restorer but I think your truck looks much nicer without that trim and so will mine. Nicely Done, Thank you!
Now that I became am old detailer I realized you were the only honest detailer and who I suppose to watch your videos for the first time
I have been called many things...the one I prefer most is being called the most honest detailer on UA-cam.
I used steam iron and DW40 , it works . The black silicon was so hard , the steam helped alot
Very nice! I have this same truck and am doing this soon as my 3m stripping disc comes in! Awesome 👏🏼 💪🏼
Great video always learn something watching your videos.
Thanks for the very educational video.
I've been thinking about ways to update my 06 Tundra. Love this idea.
I got the o5 tundra literarily doing the same thing
Another great video 👍. Looks good 👍.
Awesome video and tutorial good friend. Came out awesome as always. Nice risk mitigation using the tape.figured I throw a Darren word ur way.lol.b well good friend. 👍
Awesome, Thank you ❕️
I learn always whit you
Very clean job. One question does it still look that good till today?
Used wd40. Helped with the adhesive
Are you using a Goo Be Gone like product to remove residual adhesive?
I removed my door trim from my Chrysler 300, completely off, washed everything off and was left with a lighter shade of actual color and minor scratches, very noticeable…do I need to buff it out or polish it? Please respond
Ever use lacquer thinner to clean the painted metal surfaces?
I have. That and acetone. Although they might really be the same chemical in most ways. I prefer the Rapid Remover as it is friendlier to my health and is water soluble.
omg looks so nice. its like these stupid side moldings will protect the door any better.
You make house calls to N.C.? lol
Song?
Fr though
What did you put on the sponge ?
In my opinion, the barrage of stupid videos posted showing someone performing a task with music playing in audio stream are completely useless.
