- In honor of those killed in The Station fire in Rhode Island seventeen years ago today. Tracy was the club's bouncer that night who sacrificed his own life saving others.
This man is a HERO. He rescued 9 different people during coming in and out that deadly day. RIP you Hero!
Wow. I’m just at the beginning of the 48 hrs podcast on that fire. And they’ve just mentioned his name, and they said how he came on letterman to do this trick. So I couldn’t resist a bit of a peek at the footage to add depth to the rest of the story. Just read your comment- so, that’s made me REAL interested now to finish the podcast. Thanks mate
Amazing hero
THATS MY UNCLE❤️❤️
He was a true hero.
He was truly a great man
So sorry for your loss. A true hero.
His son Jordan was one of my best friends in middle school. I hope he is doing well today and may his dad RIP 🕊️
God you just know he was a big bear of a guy with a heart of gold. RIP.
The history of this hero was good to read. Sad, but a good tribute. On a lighter note, where in the world did he get an idea to do this canoe trick??? That's what I was coming here to post, then learned he passed helping people. Great guy.
It was a contest that started at a place in RI. He won a car for being able to do this ❤️ he was my cousin...
@@renadromey620he seemed like a great guy ❤️
Wow, he really was a true hero.
"Tracy died in the fire. He is widely believed by many survivors to be the person who picked up victims suffocating on the floor in the bar room and flung them out through the windows, saving their lives. Perhaps his years of strongman performances were all in preparation for the night of Thursday, 20 February 2003."
RIP Tracy.
This is my husband's cousin , he was such a good man
Awesome human being... good man..good friend..."HERO" LOST HIS LIFE TO SAVE OTHERS....
Well, if you have to die, this man saved several people at the Station, sacrificing his own life. Lived his last moments with honor.
Clifford Johnson did something similar at a nearly identical fire in 1942, Boston: the Cocoanut Grove. 2nd deadliest single building fire in US history. 490 dead (2 were counted twice, a woman and a bartender).
He went back in 4x to save a blind date, and got badly burned on the last pass.
Moves to Missouri (?) and has a Jeep accident that then burns him to death 10 years later.
RIP 🙏🏻
RIP Tracy King
I've seen the footage of the Station Nightclub Fire last year. It was one of the darkest pieces of footage that I've ever seen. I felt truly bad for all those people that went through it and was in tears from this.
Even though I live in West Virginia and have friends and family from that state, I respect both the victims and survivors of the tragedy. I've watched the documentary about the fire from 48 hours and heard about Tracy King.
He's one of the greatest people I've ever known. I've heard in the documentary from his brother Jody King that he saved several people in the fire. For someone who would do something brave like that is a true hero to me. I believe that Tracy King should be honored for not just what he did, but who he is. What he did proves how much he must've cared for other people and hope he rests in peace. I wish his brother Jody King the best always. The same for all of the survivors of the fire. I also hope that all the other victims of the fire rest in peace as well.
Hero.
Damn Tracy King was fine. This makes me so sad. Like, extra sad somehow.
RIP hero you earned your place on the highest with God
God didn't see fit to help, tho...?

Great upload Don, loving it! Recently heard on a podcast that there exists an interview with a young Linda Cardellini within hours of her show, 'Freaks and Geeks' being axed. Not sure if you take suggestions, but would love to see it.
March 22, 2000. In time.
@@dongiller Fantastic, Don... can't wait!
Too bad he couldn't have lived and the guys so intent on "the band door" (shoving people away from it) didn't.
Don Giller: thanks for posting. Found out about Tracy being on David Letterman by reading Scott James' book "Trial By Fire".🥨
Did you read Killer Show, and Gino's Russo's book?
