So great seeing Dorothy again. I always loved the segments with Dave's mom. She was such a sweet person and so patient with all of Dave's antics but then again she had many years of practice at it. I also loved the yearly tradition right at Thanksgiving when Dave tried to guess the pies Dorothy had made. Then he would have her open up the refrigerator and it would be full of Colt 45's or something stupid like that. Made me laugh so hard.

Dave's mom was the best. Witty, extremely kind, so sweet. She always spoke to "David" with so much love. My personal favorite when Carson called her on the air and asked if David wishes for Carson to be hit by a truck so he can get the Tonight Show. And she replied to Carson:
"Well yes, David talks about that frequently"😂
Dorothy Letterman was the mother we 'd all like to have.
