Indeed that was! I listened to that and a couple of their other numbers while in high school in the late ‘80s. They were part of my introduction to psychedelic rock, which would last well into the ‘90s and 2000s and beyond.

Where does the time go? I remember watching Dave while I was a security guard in college at a girl's dorm in 1985. And after that Headline News rolled through the night, all night long until I had the 30 minute segment memorized.
I can't believe that when the beer bottle guy said, "This has never happened before", that Dave didn't reply, "I wish I had a nickel for every time I've had to say that"
Yes! I watched "The Prisoner" when it was on tv. Each person was assigned a number instead of his or her name. The prisoner's number was 6. Each time that someone tried to escape, the authorities sent a huge balloon to the escapee. The balloon enveloped the escapee causing that person to suffocate to death. That was a great show! The balloon was probably 8' high. It was huge! It was a very suspenseful show. It got kind of scary because you never knew when the balloon would show up!! I really liked that show.
I think fucktard is a little harsh but the balloon guy was pretty special. Jon obviously has very high standards for 80’s late night tv show excerpts....
That baby was adorable!
That baby is 35 now lol

That beer bottle trick has earned me a few free drinks too.

I liked the balloon trick. That was a fun one to watch.
Thanks!!! Gloomy and rainy here in Alabama and I needed a laugh!!!!!
Same here in Toronto four years later. Gloomy, rainy and Covid isolation. Dave is still funny after all these years.
love dave miss him
He was fun but he's a liberal jerk off like they all are
I miss him…
I think the band's outro was "Over Under Sideways Down" by The Yardbirds (Jeff Beck guitar lead). I had never heard anyone cover that great tune.

Yes, good TV is old and it's on UA-cam.

Because that’s obvious and Dave’s funny.

Please...no wagering.
The first night I drove drunk as a young man, I was taught the beer trick.
What an idiot.
