I used to have a S Series device, but since i've had this device since it's relese back in March from T-Mobile i can honestly say that I'll never go back to paying that much money for a phone ever again. This A-53 can do anything that a S-22 can do and the only thing better is the camera. And since i'm not a professional photographer this device and camera set up is just perfect for me as well. That being said. Unless you're just trying to keep up with the Joneses there's no reason to ever spend over a thousand dollars for a phone ever again in my opinion. I even run my small business with it as well.
This is obviously a very honest review from a true Samsung fan. I could literally feel the pain in your voice as you were talking about the lag issues of the Galaxy A53. Honestly, it's a very promising smartphone, but Samsung needs to completely do away with Exynos for the meantime and embrace Snapdragon while they keep working and developing Exynos in-house until it's well optimized and confident enough to go head-to-head with the others. Even if it takes them 5 years to do so. Honestly, people are really losing confidence in Samsung phones due to the mostly performance and lag issues that their phones come with. If the rumor that all Galaxy S23 smartphones next year will be using only Snapdragon processors turns out to be true, I'll be the happiest person on earth.
Samsung can't do away with exynos....cos it's their processor.... they're the producers It's like saying apple should do away with the bionic processors All we can hope is for them to make it better before it crashes their market

I am comming from a huawei honor 6 play that was never performant to any standard, I just don't need a damn performance in my life. I personally can say ur a 10 year old trying to tell me something that a non tech savvy user would say. the performance is not bad, and yes I would have gotten a a52s if I had known but since my old phone was dead and I did not have any tech lying around I am stuck with this piece of garbage, I sadly put on a 2 year contract and so I can't get rid of it easy. and no I would not buy a s20 as they were terrible in the exynos variant, the exynos in the standard s20 is literally 750 in single core and 2500 multicore, not that that will fool me the s20 placed next to a a53, the a53 blows the s20 cus it doesn't overheat in 5 seconds gaming, the performance is worse after 20 min gaming on the s20. the a53 since this has been literally 735 single core and 1990 multicore, that is 0 single core differance in benchmark (using geekbench 5 as a referance) but the multicore is 600 differance, that is why the animations are choppy when multitasking duh. I say you don't attack me for bad english cus I know you will. btw you sub to ed sheeran, that is literally the worst artist that exists.
Finaly someone talks about the lags and it's performance. Every youtuber just goes silent about it. So to summerize if samsung rolls out an optimised update it could be a real upgrade over the A52... but for how long do we have to wait...

I advise turn off the Ram Plus feature it significantly boost the performance and smoothness. I have A53 5G after I turn that feauture off, perform like a champ.
the phone needed a lot of settings tweaking but the performance is worth it activate your developer mode, then check all the setting option i also disabled those services and apps that i don't even use had to sacrifice battery optimization and high refresh rate can't wait for a pure stock android rom though..

So basically the lack of consistency in gaming is not Samsung's fault but the game developers. I wanted to get the a53 as a secondary device but this is kinda pushing me away from it. If not for the camera capabilities I would have gone with the redmi.
I bought my family a £249 Samsung A53 5G this week in the Amazon sale. I also bought myself a half price as new iPhone SE 2020 a few months ago for £229. Both phones are fast enough. I prefer using the iPhones myself because it is smaller and because there is a fool proof switch to silence the iPhone is a work environment. The most I have ever paid for a phone was £399 for a Nokia 8. I would never pay more for a phone.
Do we expect to much from technology man can't make it flawless because there is no perfection in him I have the a53 and it has its mistakes like all the other phones I've owned for the price I like this phone even without the headphone jack and exynos
In what point do you consider the camera of the A53 better than the one of the A52s? Sharpness? Saturation? Color tone? I think the dynamic range of the A52s is quite good. Please share some experience. I could buy both here in Germany. The difference is just € 26.-. 😉

@@izziboye yes it does, actually overheating or heated all the time, gave to service center for same. i even complained that chinese phones are working way better than this. i was disappointed when i migrated to Samsung actually at this price range. other phone camera is also decent when it comes to that and available at cheap prices. may not recommend anyone if the issue is not solved by Samsung.
The average phone user that does not much with the phone does not need to spend so much. He could just buy a cheaper phone. Why pay a premium price to have a phone that lags? Because the A53 is not that cheap.
I don't understand why anyone would pick up the A53 since the A52s seems to better in every aspect except for battery life. It may be that I've missed something here but the A53 seems like an anti-upgrade compared to the previous model.
