Cuz I'm so tired of buying flagship Galaxy phones where they keep on dropping features that are very significant with me such as the microSD card slot and adding features that I personally couldn't care less such as eSIM which in the Philippines is really inconvenient cuz unlike abroad where you can easily change carriers with an eSIM it wasn't really implemented that way here and so I see no real reason why I should use a flagship phone and an eSIM and I am not really bothered of the cameras since A series has a great camera too and it's not that awful that you would have to spend $1960-$2000 for an S23 Ultra here in my country. still with my a51 you recommended. planning to upgrade to poco f5 since a54 is too expensive for my budget and i don't really like the performance of it in terms of gaming. my a51 is actually still good for 2023 but my problem with it is battery life and since I live Philippines it gets very HIGH temperatures when im using mobile data and just playing like color switch, like it gets to 50c so yea not good, also my problem with it is performance and thats probably why im will upgrade
I got a a53 from QVC with 1 year of unlimited talk and text ,2 gigs fast per month for 149.00 I think ead a price error, for a second backup device ead a good deal
The a 53 was meh the a54 has serious S 23 vibes and Samsung heard the performance issues that all the a53 customers were complaining of because this new exynos 1380 is way better night and day difference and the speech to text has gotten really really good for Samsung
as a samsung user no big difference between them. I am using samsung for ages now. they good phones and can handle hard falls with their extra built in screens. and their A series prossesor is a good in for their prices i mean. I am not a gamer, i use for business. I care for the memory capacity, and how can serve me having my emails and also the cam as I am using to take images my self, for my business A53 sounds ok.. I was recently with A32 for almost 2y and working well. I also fixed the amoled screen only, did not need to change the whole screen. people also need to know that. because some tech stores would say change the whole screen lol for around 90 euro in Greece is pathetic to fix a phone for you..I fixed mine in Egypt funny right? anyway 2 days ago the phone sliped into water lol ....and gone .... and i was lookin into A53 or A54 and because I am located in Greece, i wanted a good one since here they do not know much about tech .....which is funny ... i go buy a phone and they hardly can help you with specs etc... I have had many water accidents ... lol so I am not willing to pay again every 2 years 200euro for a phone...so this one sounds good Also exynos is not bad with 8 processor is super good ... as A32 5G was Octa-core Mediatek Dimensity 720 (7 nm) and A53 Exynos 1280 (5 nm) Thank you samsung ahahahhaha thats a good upgrade for me ... at least water resistant for max 1 meter depth for max 30 minutes.. Sorry for my long msg this was to also thank you for the comparison :D
Currently an apple user and I’m becoming annoyed with the memory issues with the phones. Personally I much prefer Apple to Android however Apple is making their products more expensive and the memory just gets eaten up and I then have to purchase iCloud storage to keep photos music documents etc and it’s annoying to say the least. Currently have 15.61 GB of memory that won’t budge because it’s all system and IOS updates. I only have 64GB to begin with. Had to cancel Apple Music and move to Spotify because Apple has it so that every little bit of data or whatever is used takes up memory too. I only listen to cloud music and have no music downloaded to my phone yet Apple Music was taking up 6GB for “ Documents and Data “ this has been an issue for years and they aren’t fixing it after idk how many people complained. Their solution is “ Uninstall and Reinstall the app “ Which isn’t a fix. It’s a hassle. Then I tried One Drive and the same issue they want me to buy more storage. So I say all this to say that I use Spotify. I watch UA-cam. Have some apps and surf the internet along with reading books and I love taking photos so I’m not trying to do anything insanely crazy on my phone. With all this being said can someone tell me what Samsung would be better for me? A52 53 or 54? I don’t want junky looking photos or bad speakers and SD cards are a must. Any ideas?
I've had the 53 for about a year my only complaint is when I don't get 5G it takes forever to change to 4G and it's very annoying when you're in a hurry!!!
I used both, the A54 has the better screen, speakers, and most importantly processor (a53 was a laggy mess). Only single plus for the a53 is the smaller size/weight the a54 is a downgrade in that one regard.
Those are all great choices but im using the a54 5g as my daily and not all that happy with it but will continue to use it till i find a real upgrade. My suggestion is go with the a52s or 52 5g.
Till this day im still using the a51 only just started noticing the battery is starting to drain faster than usual im thinking about upgrading to the a54 very soon
Thanks to everyone who replied to my comment on this video about the haptics on the A54. I finally decided to get the A54 and I can attest that the haptics and vibration are VERY GOOD on it. They don't feel cheap and are very solid. Definitely doesn't feel like previous budget phones when it comes to haptics 💯
Great comparison! Is there any difference between the vibration motors and haptics? I read that they updated the haptic engine on the a54 but can't find any reviews that compare it with the a53. Thanks!
Good question and i have your answer... I know own the a54 5g and the vibration on it is weak compared to my previous m31. Im trying to enjoy my 54 but not real happy.
@@joemontero725 thank you, I appreciate your answer! That's too bad. A weak vibration motor is one of the reasons I have trouble using the A series or any budget phone. The quality feels less because of it.

as a person who hates working and just works and watches youtube shorts or movies a53 would great what u think? also is it true that this phone last android version will be android 16?
The bezels get thicker each year... like, WTF? Just look at all the older models, they are thinner and with smaller bezels. Is the designer blind or something? 😏
If you have the 53, it's not worth it to upgrade. The higher level A series phones, (A50s and A70s) are right below the S series phones. For those A series phones, upgrading every two years makes more sense.
A53 and A54 are the worst values ever. For that price, u can find a brand new s21 ultra or a renewed refurbished s22 ultra with few deep scratches, but everything else in mint condition on ebay for as low as $449 256GB and even $469 for 512GB that's pretty insane, the pixel 7 for $399 u have so many better opition, Samsung should've cut the a5x and should've released the s23 fe at $499-$549 instead would be a nice competitor to the pixel 7a and 7.
@JL-st5vg it still has 2 more years of software support, and if you get the s22 ultra, realistically, flagship gets updates faster. Otherwise, it's only getting a few months less than a54. You still have 3 more android updates and 4 more years of security updates, so their is nothing to worry about. Evening taking about devices like the s10 series or s20 ultra that aren't officially getting any android update and the s10 is done with security update and though it would probably not be the 1ˢᵗ phone or maybe a phone I'd recommend I find that phone better than the galaxy a54, plus those phones will hold up 5 years later while a54 has the support but it won't hold up within a year the phone will start to feel laggy and get regular stutters. If your taking s22 ultra update isn't a worry and 1 year less really isn't a deal breaker, but that's only if you're okay with buying a used phone you can find brand new s21 ultra 512GB for under $500 and I see that holding up passed its life span.
@@JL-st5vg ya well mid ranger can't hold up very well and flagships can hold up past its life span, mid rangers feels sluggish and the biggest reason why isheeps claim samsung phones laggy cause they will use an a54, it will be slow and sluggish and won't hold up than they will switch to iPhone and appreciate the fluidity and say iPhones are fast great and hold up for very long, well they have never tried a samsung flagship and 3 years of android update and 4 years of security update is long javity and who know they might extend it to 5 years of android updates and 6 years if security update or 5 years if android update and 5 years of security updates. It isn't 2017 or 2018 anymore were I couldn't recommend older phones and the s21 ultra is still getting 3 more years of security update and will hold up better, so I'd rather have less software support and the device performance better rather than few small features with a sluggish experience, like when you look at galaxy s10 on one ui 4.1 still your not really missing out much and the phone still runs great better than the galaxy a54 and probably you can get away with a galaxy s10 for even another year unless one ui 6 turns out to be a game changer update which I'm pretty sure it won't be a game charger update considering android 14 is a very small update so s10 series can get away entire 2024 even so until 2025 your not missing out of much. Same could be said for the s21 ultra maybe until 2028 when the galaxy a54 is done with security update I see the s21 ultra hold up better considering besides the 60hz samsung flagship from 2019 vs 2023 your getting a performance increase but the differences isn't huge, it can still run most games on similar or the same setting as the s23 ultra the a54 doesn't come in close. To be a more user friendly experience is much more important than longer support, if the s21 ultra was still $1000 phone I'd say don't buy it 2-3 years of lifespan isn't enough but we're debating about $400 than it's easy to upgrade 2-3 years. Software support isn't really everything and Iif your salty about about the s22 ultra in the renewed market is the right opition it will only be 1 update behind which still means it has 4 years of lifespan left. I wish Samsung can extend it by another year and sell us older flagships on their website for lower price and get rid of the whole overpriced galaxy a series in the $400 market, it's more expensive to design new mid range part than sell older flagship
@@JL-st5vg pixel 6a is different from galaxy a54 it is a watered down flagship, maybe opening and closing apps sure but it's def not as smooth the difference are day and night between 60hz vs 120hz, pixel 7a sure the difference from 90hz and 120hz is very subtle but 60 vs 90 is day and night even 60 vs 75 so you can imagine the s22 ultra is much Smoother unless you don't really care it's a day and night jump, trying using the s22 ultra as a primary device than going back to the 6a it will show its age 60hz it not smooth.
@ivar-the-terrible but honestly, even then, I'd still not recommend because it's not offical and since Samsung isn't so consistent with their price and fluctuates faster it's better to buy an s21 which u can find for around $180-$220 while the s10 is still in the $150 price it's too close making the s10 really not worth its it's a decent phone even something like a galaxy s8 or s9 but I still wouldn't recommend it

still with my a51 you recommended. planning to upgrade to poco f5 since a54 is too expensive for my budget and i don't really like the performance of it in terms of gaming. my a51 is actually still good for 2023 but my problem with it is battery life and since I live Philippines it gets very HIGH temperatures when im using mobile data and just playing like color switch, like it gets to 50c so yea not good, also my problem with it is performance and thats probably why im will upgrade
Your video is very usefull ... so yes as long both have IP67 I am getting A53..
I have had many water accidents ... lol so I am not willing to pay again every 2 years 200euro for a phone...so this one sounds good
Also exynos is not bad with 8 processor is super good ... as A32 5G was Octa-core Mediatek Dimensity 720 (7 nm) and A53 Exynos 1280 (5 nm) Thank you samsung ahahahhaha thats a good upgrade for me ... at least water resistant for max 1 meter depth for max 30 minutes..
A52s is still better than both
I used both, the A54 has the better screen, speakers, and most importantly processor (a53 was a laggy mess). Only single plus for the a53 is the smaller size/weight the a54 is a downgrade in that one regard.
Which phns camera is best?
@@soumyasathyan9 a54
Just bought a 8gb ram with 256 also got samsung flup cover exclent phone
Still have A70.. not sure which phone to upgrade to! Samsung A52s, A54.. maybe S21 FE? A34?
Those are all great choices but im using the a54 5g as my daily and not all that happy with it but will continue to use it till i find a real upgrade. My suggestion is go with the a52s or 52 5g.
Honestly none.
I have my A70 I bought in 2019. And was still faster and better performing than my A53.
Almost the same, in camera a53 better in some cenarios
Hate the rounded corners on the A54
Till this day im still using the a51 only just started noticing the battery is starting to drain faster than usual im thinking about upgrading to the a54 very soon
I converted from an a51 to a54 today. The 51 is a battery drainer and the charge-in port was giving me a hard time. Time for a new upgrade!
Has anyone used either 53 or 54 at a concert? Wondering how sound qudlity of video and photo quality of low light/moving objects is
I’m currently upgrading from my iPhone 8 that is slowly dying after 6 years so I’m looking to try an android since this has been my only phone
*_Watching this on my Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G 8GB 256GB. Lurking on which next phone to get. LOL!_*
Why no one is showing the ip 67 rating test? Every other operational aspect are been shown???
Is $430 usd. A good deal for the Samsung A54 8/256 gb?
You look beautiful in an picture
Hey buddy, how about we talk about the samsung s24
Great comparison! Is there any difference between the vibration motors and haptics? I read that they updated the haptic engine on the a54 but can't find any reviews that compare it with the a53. Thanks!
Good question and i have your answer... I know own the a54 5g and the vibration on it is weak compared to my previous m31. Im trying to enjoy my 54 but not real happy.
@@joemontero725 thank you, I appreciate your answer! That's too bad. A weak vibration motor is one of the reasons I have trouble using the A series or any budget phone. The quality feels less because of it.
Bit late.
But I just got the 54. And I'm happy to say the vibration on it is much better than on my 53. It's actually noticeable and feels good.
@@GhostlyMeows thank you for the input! I thought it should be better on the 54. Good to know it is! The 54 is now back on my radar to potentially buy.
LOVE YOUR CHANNEL TECHDAILY❗👍❗ WATCHING ON MY GALAXY S10😆😆😆
I noticed that not much difference if i need a new phone im jyst buying another 53
I hope next year and in the future, at least the A5X model from the A series of Samsung should have USB 3.1 so that it can support Samsung DeX. 🥺
Im gonna be getting the samsung galaxy fold 4 in two months thats when i can get the money together to payoff my iphone 13, ipad m1. Cant wait.
I just smashed my A535g and have now just bought the A54 5g. Money down the drain again but oh well. I wonder which is better. The smaller screen size is a bugger but performance?
You could also repair your old phone
Awesome review
Thanks Caleb! Really appreciate it! 🙏
Which one is more louder?? A54??
I love the samsung galaxy a 54 I thinking about getting one I got samsung a 53 now thinking about upgrading to the 54
A52 is better than both of these 😂😂😂
Exynos still sucks balls, Samsung should drop it in the trash 🗑️
Awesome video
Thanks Brandon! 🙏

I am using A53 function good
Yes I love my samsung galaxy a54 5g it the best ever
Samsung made the A series uglier after copying 19.5:9 aspect ratio from Apple.
as a person who hates working and just works and watches youtube shorts or movies a53 would great what u think? also is it true that this phone last android version will be android 16?
Yeah. 4 years.
The bezels get thicker each year... like, WTF?
Just look at all the older models, they are thinner and with smaller bezels. Is the designer blind or something? 😏
Hm, the a54 camera design is very similar to huawei mate 20 lite
What does “unlocked” mean in that context? 1:24
That mean you can use any phone company service like Tmoblie AT&T Xfinity for calling
Please do Samsung A33 vs Samsung A34 🙏
Absolutely! 🔥
Alot of ppl didn't like the A53, but the A54 seems to be well liked. What a difference a processor can make!
20:9 looks better than 19.5:9
Batarya süresi video oynatma süresi hangisi iyi
If you have the 53, it's not worth it to upgrade. The higher level A series phones, (A50s and A70s) are right below the S series phones.
For those A series phones, upgrading every two years makes more sense.
Is a54 has green shimmer when look at from an angel
This Video came in clutch as my phone just got wet and died
I have samsung a 54 is Really good and my mom has samsung a 53
0:39 0:40 0:42 0:43
I have the a53 since the day it came out. Still great for everyday use. But the camera is abit too saturated. I prefer iphone camera
e-waste vs slightly better e-waste
A54 has Bigg bezel damn what a downgrade
Does a case for a53 also fit on a54
No
Do a73 vs a54
Ya va a salir el GALAXY F54
buy pixel 7 insteaad people
I did that comparison last week, and I think the Pixel definitely has a number of advantages 👍
Google are harvesting everything you do on that. No thanks
A53 shape is better than a54
A53 is better as its much cheaper then a54. A54 is good but not huge improvement over its predecessor
How about buying a53 for 20,000 RS??
FYI the a54 doesn't have video stabilization at 1080p 60 or 4k 30 your limited to 1080p 30 if u want video stabilization
Not much better so
That slightly smaller screen will crop out less of a pinched out video
If it is available go for xiaomi redmi note 12 pro+. best decision ever. 1000 times better than this junk

The a53 battery life is terrible. At least in mine
