    Guuuuurl, sister locks is gonna be mad at you.🙎🏽 But too bad for them. It's ludicrous that the process should be some secret society when really, it's just the same method as interlocking larger sized locs. I figured that out a few years ago. Kudos to you for sharing your research! 💁🏾Your mama is lucky to have a daughter like you!!!

The Bible says to study and show yourself approved. You have done exactly what the word says. I am left in tears; this was simply beautiful. God bless your hands. Your mom is one special lady. You have lovely hands. The way you handle your mother’s hair says a lot about how you feel about her. This hair “ritual” has always bonded Black mothers and daughters...grandmothers...sisters...cousins. It is uniquely different in that no other culture (with little exception) invests that kind of time ....that kind of attention to detail. Even little girls are expected to sit.....sometimes for hours.... in elongated silences in order to complete the task. It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced this. I miss it...

    I'm reading these comments and some of you all are waay off. It clearly states microloc installation and that's exactly what it is. Where are you all coming off with this Sisterlocks thing? I have been through the Sisterlocks training so I'm not at all offended by what she has done. She said it's microlocs and that's what it is. She did a great job of doing microlocs and if you don't want to pay for Sisterlocks brand, technique, and maintenance, then this is your alternative, but by no means can you call them Sisterlocks and down the road it'll show. It's not a secret society it's a brand and if those of you who have a brand would know that you would do whatever it takes to protect it. Those of us who have actually paid to go to a class know that. It's a standard that you would uphold. Katya, your microloc installation is absolutely beautiful.

    • @LadyChaCha22
      @LadyChaCha22 5 років тому +1

      Sisterlocks are a brand and there is a different technique in establishing according to the clients hair. I cannot go into detail with technique there are classes you can go to that will teach you the technique and how to establish according to the client. www.sisterlocks.com. No I’m not an ambassador nor have I’ve been paid to say this. It’s just Ms. Cornwell has gone through a lot to protect her brand and as a registered trainee I am bound to protect her brand as well as myself. But I like I said before this video is an excellent video for Microlocs.

I took the Sisterlocks course and although our grid,the tool and some of the interlocking techniques are different, in my opinion your technique is great as well. This was one of the most beautiful videos I've ever seen. I'm an overthinker and this was so pleasing to my thoughts that I've always had about how to twist/loc hair (if that makes any sense at all). Everything about this was satisfying: the grid, the parting tool, the flat twists, the 4 point interlocking... My brain feels at rest, lol.

  • @kdrew8679

    Ms. Katya Bravo👏👏👏 take a bow! This was by far the best tutorial on how to install micro locs. I have never seen it started by hand. You were very detailed with the sections, parting and 4 rotations. I am just seeing this video which says it was uploaded in 2017. I am a new subscriber as of today and will be watch moving forward since I am leaning towards interlocking my hair very soon. I am very interested in viewing your older videos and comparing your present videos to see you and your mom's journey with maintenance, styling etc.

    Bingo!! I've been searching high and low for a video like this! This is awesome and you did an excellent job. Regardless of the name of the locs, this was exactly what I was looking for. Yes, I have been strongly considering sisterlocs, but I'm very competitive and knew that I could achieve the same look myself. I'll keep my $1500 and do my own following your lead. Keep up the great work and forget the naysayers honey because you did that!! It's all about locking natural hair and maintaining it properly..
