I'm with you, I love Lila SO MUCH. She's become one of my all-time favorite characters. From a writer's perspective, she's so well developed and fully fleshed out as a character and I appreciate and admire that. From a reader's perspective, she's just FREAKING AWESOME and so much fun to read and to root for. I felt like this was truly Lila's story, not Kell's.
I personally think Lila is an Alkari too, because she has one glass eye, and it is mentioned that Alkari have one black eye and one normal one. I think that is why her eye got cut out, especially since she doesn't remember the incident.

I feel like the 2nd book took the characters and their relationships to the next level. It wasn't as creepy as the first I don't think, but plenty of action and adventure. A LOT HAPPENS!!! I'm starting the last book tonight :)

I think my fav part was Lila in the shop getting her new threads, she is such an individual with such original ideas and opinions. I Love her confidence and independence, I just don't see characters like that in books unless they are also 'bad' or jerks in some way.
