Watched it yesterday. It was great. I love how this trailer shows you almost everything but tells you almost nothing.
It really is like a Mission Impossible intro in that regard.
@@robertmichalscheck3072 imagine belittling people for their taste in movies. Get off your high horse

How should be
does he find her?!
"Scott Pilgrim" + "Eyes Wide Shut" + "Alice in Wonderland" + "L.A Noire" (yes, the video game) = "Under the Silver Lake"
+ Hitchcock + The Big Lebowski + Mulholland Drive + GTA V
A big of the big lebowski too
And inherent vice
I liked this movie so much - and it was so full of details and so genre bending that I've had trouble enjoying any movie since this one. Someone cure my boredom! Favorite movie I've ever seen lol.
Chinatown vibes as well.
THIS MOVIE BLEW MY MIND
The Amazing Spider-Man 3: Paranoid Peter
Amazing Spiderman 3: The Fall of Spider Sense 😉
They do have a sticky hand scene WITH a an Amazing Spidey comic.
I'm on a Andrew Garfield trip and every single one of his movies I've checked out so far looks interesting as hell - how!? I love it (and him)
Been thinking about this movie for months, probably have seen it 100 times. I think it’s taking over my life help.
Solutions:
1. Go on Reddit, as there are tons of other fans, with pretty interesting theories.
2. Tell as many people who might be interested in the film about it. I love to reference it in YT comment sections.
3. It is on tons of “underrated” lists, so you are not the only one in this “predicament.” Lol.
Don't worry. Everything Is Under Control. -RAW
Andrew Garfield the best actor I've seen in all the years of his life.
Right, i've stopped the trailer after the line 'there's a message in the music' i now cannot wait to see this film
This movie is so cool. It’s an homage to those old noire crime films ad I think it pulls it off perfectly.
I watched it long time back. Beautiful movie. A24 is really producing underrated movies. Please suggest some more movies with the same kinda vibes.
Well, The Big Lebowski is remarkably similar, but far more human than the vibe this movie was going for.
Andrew Garfield is the man.
Gage Welch Andrew Garfield is the real Spider-Man
And a real gentleman too!
YESSS HOW DO WE BRING HIM BACK!!!!!!!!!! WE CAN DO ITTTT
This movie having such low rating on rotten tomatoes and IMDB is the proof that these ratings don't mean shit. Such a cult classic !!
When you get the chance, see this movie. Its nuts in the best way possible

Love lasagna and hates Mondays
Cool movie.
I like this movie because its like Mulholland Dr.
Anyone else thinks this movie is kinda spiritual brother to donnie darko?
A movie about hidden messages and the composer, Rich Vreeland (aka Disasterpeace), is known for doing the same with his music.
It's crazy how underrated this movie is.
man this is a really good movie.
Both Venom and Spider-Man are in this movie lol
from the director of "it follows"
HE FOLLOWS
hahaha
with great power comes great responsibility
finally he's back
Abdul Ghani What?? Seriously? Have you ever heard of Hacksaw Ridge? Silence? Breathe? How about Angels in America, which he has been performing in London then Broadway for the past year and a half? He will win a Tony Award for best actor in two weeks. You people need to keep up with the times.
darren motise ironically you've commented on a month old thread when you just found out about this trailer. you people need to keep up with the times.
Silver Lake REPRESENT!
Why do underrated? Literally no one has told me about this great movie
Andrew Garfield👍👍👌👏👏
0:33 Looks like the house from David Lynch’s Rabbits.
this movie got postponed but this movie is available online now..
Andrew is adorable, I'd watch it just for him. This looks interesting and unique. 💕
after about an hour i realized i wasn't even watching it anymore .
YES! SOMETHING NEW! FINALLY! THANK YOU EVERYONE INVOLVED!!
When GTA V collectibles becomes real
I had to pause a couple of times because the suspense of this movie is something I couldn't stand. I love noir films.
A24 needs to be hired to animate Jujitsu Kiasen.
This trailer is fascinating because I tried to watch the movie but I couldn’t even finish it because it was too disturbing and weird for me to even enjoy, but the trailer is edited in such a way that I still re-watch it to this day. It has a different feeling than the actual movie, like whoever edited the trailer has a whole different movie in his head and whatever it is, I want to watch it
oh my goodness, this looks so good and ANDREW?! YES PLEASE
its spiderman
THIS LOOKS FANTASTIC!
i LOVE RILEY
A24’s handling of the release of this movie is disgraceful.
After a few mixed reviews form the canned premiere they delayed it 3 times then dumped it on VOD with no explanation or marketing. They aren’t even giving it a Blu Ray. What terrible treatment of such an interesting movie.
Kye The Movie Guy it is getting a blue ray
blu-ray was released June 19 by Lionsgate. I just watched it for free on Tubi TV
This movie just messed up my head but it’s worth it
Weird-ass movie. Was thinking about it for days after seeing it.
It's your reality. Numbers are everything and it's far deeper than you know
The skulls, the regression, eyes wide shut, the conspiracy (2013) 📺
This reminds me of an adult version of Paper Towns.
Ahhhh the dude from Winkys diner makin me have ptsd flashbacks to muholland drive
This is basically a Thomas Pynchon movie
A24? Ok I'm going to see it. Prior to 2018 never heard of a24. But in 2018 a24 movies been only ones worth seeing
Joe Smith been on A24’s tip since Spring Breakers in 2013
This is how I imagine Alex Jones is everyday.
A24 is saving the movie industry one movie at a time.
Hell yes
So true!
A24 isn't saving the movie industry, they are just producing good movies. Their films don't bring in much money. Also like I said A24 is just producing the movies, AKA funding them. The credit for the films being good goes to the writers and directors and actors, not the studio.
It’s true they're not 'single-handedly' saving the film industry, but they're facilitating some fucking great stories to be made and not all studios will take risks like that. Some credit has to go to them for that.
Of course the cast and crew of the films deserve massive credit but A24 are giving these filmmakers the opportunity to make these films where most other studios would say no. A24 cares about making good movies not just money
You cannot even comprehend the level of insanity this movie has to offer
Yai gringo De boa
But trying to figure it all out is most certainly half the fun.
It’s like Inherent Vice meets Mulholland Drive
care to give a run down?
@@MixedRogueKhorri
It would take too many words and it still wouldn't make sense to offer a synopsis in a UA-cam comment. Have you seen the movie Brick? It's like that kind of neo-noir style mixed with the script for The Number 23.
A24's biggest mistake was not putting this out in theatres. . such a cult classic
It was out in theater but got only a limited theatrical release.
That's usually how a cult classic begins.
they delayed it like three times and dropped it with no marketing a week before endgame. makes for a fun meta reading of the film that it was buried for “some reason”.
Paper Towns but good
Frederick Core paper towns is good, sister
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Paper Towns meets Jeff, Who Lives at Home
Batman, u probably thought justice league was good too lmao
Frederick Core lmao
It's like the wtf missions in GTA V.

Strangers and Freaks* but yeah, cause you search some clues in all San Andreas
I thought this was going to be a rom com but it quickly peppilled otherwise!
It looks pretty insane. I love it.
Instant classic. It dwells within its own dimension of bizarreness and mystery. It’s definitely not for everyone but I have no shame in saying that this is on the top 3 best A24 movies.
Something about this movie is so nostalgic. I watch it several times a week
What are other A24 movies ?

@INTJ-Scorpio-Sigma-Male Your type explains why you see it that way. After all, the principal actor is an INFP.
The movies great you won’t be disappointed
finally an intriguing trailer that doesn't reveal every aspect of the film!!! 👏👏👏👏👏 seems to be a rarity now days
That nothing they're able to vote.
In Wisconsin is so weird Gov Scott Walker has banned our special elections voting in November 2018. That's correct were are not allowed to contribute in the ballot process this year. They need MAKE a movie about that's! But the movie itself need to be all the way rewinded back so you can see all the intelligence Easter Eggs, like Steve Bannon cultures wars against the country men's and women's.
i feel like i just watched the whole movie
But what if that was the whole movie? No answers to any questions, will end ambiguously. Just like It Follows.
Eva McDermott that‘s because the big mainstream hollywood movies are so damn predictable and utter bs. like the latest tomb raider. nothing but disappointment.
AwesomeBlackDude Is that you, Tommy Wiseau?
First time in my life after watching a movie, I was not able to make my mind on if I enjoyed watching the film or I didn't. One things for sure, I couldn't stop thinking about it after watching it. Such an odd ball of a movie with Noir pace and crazy revelations. Everywhere the character goes in search of answers, we are with him and trying to figure out like him that WTF is actually going on. The climax closure scene broke me

Director: I want to make a weird movie
A24 producers: Yeah that’s what we do
Director: No but really
A24 didn't produce this. David Robert Mitchell wrote, producted, and directed the entire thing. A24 had nothing to do with it other than distribution.
Why is it A24 fanbois constantly give them credit were absolutely zero is due, and all the hard work from the person or people that actually did it goes unrecognized?
Don't listen to the naysayers. It's definitely not a movie for everyone, especially those who need clean, simple, straight forward plots. The movie is about a sort of aimless, isolation that is born out of our jaded pop culture. We all want to mean something, all the messages we are constantly bombarded with. Well, even if there was a grand meaning behind it all and you discovered it, would that make your life immediately better? Or would you be right back where you started? That's kind of what the film is about.
This movie was a worthless waste of time and your an idiot, quit trying to sound intelligent.
So true. Garfield was amazing but the movie sucked.
👍
This was a good movie.
Robert Michalscheck what’s your problem? This isn’t the first time you’ve posted this. Also, you can’t call someone an idiot when you don’t have how to spell some of the most simplest of words.
Thank you A24 for investing in independent films and bringing brilliant stories to our screens in this age of sequels and superhero movies. Never change.
A LOT OF PEOPLE SAID ANDREW GARFIELD CAREER WAS OVER AFTER SPIDER-MAN. EVERY SINGLE FILM HE’S DONE SINCE HAS BEEN MASTERPIECES.IT'S VERY INSPIRING TO SEE HOW HE PUSHED THROUGH & STILL IS HIGHLY RELEVANT TODAY
Did you even see Hacksaw Ridge
literally nobody said that
I LIKE YOUR PASSION
What? Like Silence? Hacksaw Ridge? 99 Homes? He's been making great acting choices.
No! He is the Best Spider-Man and the Best Actor and deserves the best!!! And he will win that Oscar one day!
Coming from a fan of It Follows, this looks fucking fantastic. Like a complete step up...
It looks like a flop to me.
One does not step up from It Follows! This does look good though. It's just a completely different movie. I was expecting something in the horror genre. The tone of this movie kinda reminds me of The NIce Guys, but more mystery, and less action.
Spoiler allert!
"Do you ever feel like you fucked up somewhere a long time ago?.... You're living the wrong life, like a bad version of the life you're supposed to have?"
Those lines hit me hard so bad that I paused the movie and thought about my life for hours, I related to the main character, he was so obsessed with pop culture and those actors, musicians, celebrities that he forgot to live and have a real life for himself... When he embarks on the journey to solve the mystery and in the end it just didn't matter because it's all just bullshit, then real life hit him and he's homeless, I had a panic attack, I'm scared I would end up like him.....
For people pop culture is a way of life, for those producers, movie directors, writers it's just money, like what the song writer said to him (In my opinion that was the most important scene in the movie)
But the real victory was him being homeless, it was a call to reality. He's probably gonna now connect with his mother again, and get the help that she would most likely give him.
damn finally an actual interpretation of the film on a thematic level, and not just a bunch of random connections like the ones the character finds out in the film. Have to rewatch it again with that in mind

I was worried based on this trailer that the film would be too...quirky. Thankfully it's simply fantastic. Easily one of the best movies I've seen in the past couple years at least.
SPOILER AHEAD: Finally, a film that does not result in the protagonist just being crazy & delusional. I'm glad for once that a protagonist was actually right about a conspiracy.

A24, thank you for adding captions to your trailers for deaf and hard of hearing moviegoers and others who benefit from or like captions. You make your media much more accessible than the big studios, and we appreciate that.

You thought it was? I mean, since Spiderman he's been in a Scorsese film, a Mel Gibson film (for which he received an Oscar nomination) and the film Breathe for which he recieved even more acclaim! If anything he's received more success since Spiderman.
No. He is the best Spider-Man and Peter Parker! Also he'll win the oscar one day!
I have no doubt he'll win an Oscar! And, no he wasn't the best Spiderman or Peter Parker...

Simply a masterpiece and one of the most underrated film of the last decade.
very David Lynch style, intriguing, mind twisting, trippy, a little longish and a bit pretentious, but a nice experience
Watched this movie last night. This was one of the coolest, weirdest flicks I've seen in a long time. Definitely going to be a cult classic.
Andrew Garfield? I’m already in.
My favorite film of this year so far, requires multiple viewings. Everyone should check this out, it’s one of the most batshit crazy original movies of this decade imo.
A24 makes the best films, god I love them so much, ever since I saw tusk I’ve been keeping them on my radar. Ya gotta love how they support movies that are more creative rather than just making a mediocre blockbuster like everyone else.
Definitely not for everyone, acting and art is amazing but found it too Long, slow rhythm and really almost non sense, at the end he learned almost nothing, developed nothing and got pretty much nothing, and the summary rich people are crazy!
Incorrect. The story is about a mentally ill homeless person who is living in a mass media fuelled fantasy world. At the end, he kills himself. Hope this helps.
