When you look at Clara's Mothers grave and see the date of her death........ 5th of March 2005. The date of the events of the episode "Rose". In other words, it is a possibility that she was killed by the autons in the mall where Jackie was since they both live in the same general area of London within Dr Who Cannon.

@@stanleydude3340 Yeah By the second doctor not a single member of the original production team remained
      William hartnel was the last
But also I'm pretty sure that the BBC has only ever confirmed. One thing to be canon due to miscommunication and that's the adventure games
Certainly anything that contradicts them cannot be Is counted
I think the most fun thing to do is just count everything And try to fit it together
Like I try to order the Far future doctors
It goes the emperor who is evil future doctor
and then merlin because previously being evil Explains why he went to another universe he was feeling guilty
The artifact which is his dead body
And simultaneously grandfather halfling In the city of the saved which Is basically a heaven inside of a human tardis for humanoid tardis for humanity[ He got in because Of the half human on his mother's side stuff and basically Started protesting for equal rights For the half breeds]
But From what I understand the humanoid tardis[ Is named compassion] dies And the people in the city are resurrected
And this leads to the creation of the curator Who is basically every incarnation he's not even regenerating he's Some type of shape changer[ In the t v show we see him as a old fourth doctor And in big finish he's an old sixth doctor]
Tails from the tardis might take place in the curator's time But it might take place in the modern day as well As a dream connected by the psychic circits but those are just my theories
I like making theories on stuff like this because no one is going to confirm or Deny them Because they Are intentionally vague
I went on a weird rent there but I have a lot of thoughts but I sometimes Rambal on about

I enjoy seeing the differences in what episodes the wider Doctor Who fandom love and what Blind Wave personally love. As they aren't in any kind of echo chamber they have authentically different reactions. They are way more positive about Season 7 than they were about the first couple of seasons of the show, and they clearly like this episode which a very noisy reactionary core of the fanbase hate and see as the point of no return for the show. It's like how they didn't care much for Midnight, Gridlock or Family of Blood but loved Daleks in Manhattan and Wedding of River Song. Their unique take on things is why I am a patreon supporter.

Sure, I can find some storytelling issues within a few stories (like with every season), but I think it was a great departure for the 11th Doctor overall and it's full of lore nods, lots of multi fan service, lots of well-intended love for the characters, there's two unique journeys, lots of mystery, lots of questions are answered and there's even space for new questions, there's epic and meaningful speeches and when I watched Rings of Akhaten for the first time, I got chills too. As a long time fan, I actually understand where they come from when they react. In fact, It's refreshing to see how open-mindedly Blind Wave approach every franchise they watch.

While I do think this episode is a bit light on plot (and what happened to all those people when their star disappeared?!) I do think it's absolutely beautiful in style, and both the speeches at the end get me every time. I tear up at both the Doctor's and Clara's speeches. And while controversial, I love them both.
It was a joy to watch the crew react to this and enjoy it so much. Especially this season (seven) I'm finding myself enjoying it a lot more watching with the guys, which is fun. So many cool alien designs this episode! Glad they enjoyed that, as well as of course the epic/emotional speeches. And of course, glad they're continuing to like Clara.
I have to say, I did laugh when Calvin pointing out that the Doctor following Clara around as a child is a tiiiiny bit creepy, because yes, I'd agree. It is.
As a person who sang in a choir for a very long time, I also always liked this episode for its music. I honestly really like The Long Song. It makes me emotional as well.
Can't wait to move forward in s7, especially to some of the episodes I'm less keen on, and see how my opinion has changed since last time I watched, and if my enjoyment will continue to be better while watching along with the crew! :D

I thought that at first too, but David Tennant did the same at the start of “Age of Steel” and that was plain stupid copout of a cliffhanger. Here, the tech is obviously audio-based, with all the singing and even a door opening at the sound of a song. So it makes sense the sonic screwdriver can counter the sonic waves of the Vigil. But there are other times the sonic definitely could do way too much. Hence why they invented the deadlock, the double, triple deadlock, RTD loved the deadlock, but Moffat invented the “sonic doesn’t do wood” which I like better.

A few things I wanted to point out.
    1) Much of the Doctor's speech could be interpreted from a slightly darker angle. A parasite that thinks it's a god and longs for the lives of others? Do you remember this minisode (ua-cam.com/video/OH4rsARaMI0/v-deo.html )? The Doctor states that the reason he has companions is so that he can see the universe through their eyes. The Doctor understands this "god" so well because he sees a reflection of himself within it.
    2) Pay attention to the music in this episode, especially during the Doctor's speech. And pay attention to the lyrics too. It might come back later, and the lyrics sung here add quite a bit when it does.

Did anyone else thing that Clara’s Leaf speech undercuts the Doctor’s speech? @@cartoonking1895 if that is enough for you to "Hate" a character as always that is your choice.
This is the 2nd episode of this version of Clara every Companion gets the 2nd episode to show what they bring to the table
Rose - The End of the World
      Martha - The Shakespeare Code
Donna - The Fires of Pompei
      Amy - The Beast Below
What they all have in common
      1. The Doctor makes a call to save something the Companion helps them find the better path or solves it
      2. It is the Companion's 2nd episode
This is what people mean when they state the unfair "hate" thrust upon Clara, that only Donna got for her turn in "Runaway Bride", that Martha got because she replace Rose, that Rose got because she was a former Pop-Star, that Amy got because she was unknown and a former model.

The narrative thread -- left largely unspoken and to the viewers' imaginations -- about the destruction of this "god" is how it echoes back to the asteroid "worlds" in "A Good Man Goes To War" (S-6) and the opening sequence in "The Time of Angels" (S-5). When taken in order, the Doctor destroyed the god in TRoA, which gave rise to the at least the seedling order against him (eventually becoming The Silence) and events in AGMGtW, then to the museum/monastery in TToA. DW, as a series in the NuWho era, is full of all sorts of deliberately-left--to-the-viewers'-imaginations story threads and elements... this was one of the more subtle but also interesting, in that context.

Can we all agree that so many episodes/concepts from s7 (and even onward) were so much more solid than people gave them credit for when they aired? I think it's easy for people to complain/nitpick things when they come out (with the internet hive mind where everyone likes to complain and hate things w/out any critical thinking) purely because it's the popular trend to complain and nitpick. I think there's a reason why so many reactors have positive reactions to episodes when everyone in the comments is disagreeing/saying it sucked: because their experience hasn't been tainted by the negativity of the internet. Not saying btw that there haven't been weak episodes/concepts but holy crap the comments section for any given DW episode in s7/8 is so polarized and idk I think w/out the internet saying "this episode sucked and here's why you should hate Moffat" we would all have a way more positive perspective of this show. I notice a lot of people saying that in hindsight these episodes were better than they remember-- don't let the popular trend to hate things when they come out taint your perspective!!
