Thanks for being you, Derek! We had people at shows talk about Metal Storm and be like "oh, like from the HVGN video?" Your enthusiasm for this game (even 12 years ago) hasn't been matched. Keep kicking ass, you guys!
I remember seeing the collector’s edition at SoCal Retro Gaming Expo in February and mentioning Derek to a Retrobit employee. I don’t remember if they recognized the name or SSFF, but clearly they knew the game’s significance in the history of UA-cam gaming shows.
@@Kalle72 I mean, I deal with anxiety myself and telling it to fuck off and doing it anyway is the hardest thing to do. But honestly, that's how a lot of it is done.
You're literally why I got into retro-gaming in the first place. AVGN was fun, sure. It's great to shit on bad games, but you brought a positive spin on that reviewer formula as your cover of his tune discussed. There's nothing more satisfying that finding a hidden gem no one talks about for a system, finding it to be incredibly affordable, and then playing it only to find out holy shit this game rules. Thanks, Derek!
Your genuine, humble glee is so endearing. I’ve never seen more pure and sincere joy in a UA-cam video. You’re a treasure and this channel is wonderful! Keep it up.
Splatterhouse and Sweet Home here - though never got my hands on the machine for the latter... and now that I think of it, never managed to get my hands on the re-release of the splatterhouse game for Xbox/PS3(?) ... back on it's release - but the fascination to both was still strong! :) Derek Alexander, really got us into great game aye?
He got me into the Splatterhouse games, Clash at Demonhead and the Gargoyle's Quest trilogy. Don't have as much enthusiasm for Demon's Crest as Derek does (it's a fine game but has a few things I really didn't care for) but those first two games in the series are phenomenal with the first Gargoyle's Quest currently being my favorite Game Boy game in my collection.
So happy to have followed until now and to see the validation in your face when reading the box. Congrats sir and thanks for all the years of “happiness” ...and for taking care of those damn skeletons, I mean I’ve never seen one fighting so you’re doing the job well!
I would love to see Nintendo add Metal Storm to the NES games on Nintendo Switch Online. Would be the best way to get everyone to be able to play this game.
Happy Boombastic It’s sad to see you actually edited your comment after posting - and yet you STILL write “you’re” instead of “your”. I guess English isn’t your first language.
Happy Boombastic I didn’t. Your mistake is just so big, that it poked my eyes. It changes the meaning of what you are trying to say. It shows absolute disregard for the English language. Sad.

Something to make you feel better about driving it off the lot: you stated your certificate number. It's now the most valuable copy because you're the one on the back of the box and really are responsible for this even existing.
