Worth noting that Bad Cook has a range of 200~ meters and a lingering hitbox. It outranges most guns.
always thought that was bizarre
@@LEOTomegane no need to worry to pen or angles if all it needs is for the hot stuff to just touch the target
Unfortunately it does next to no stun damage. They're fun but only really effective if you play super aggressive. If you get stunned early and lose half your health you can pretty much be camped to the loss. They're not good at comebacks.
@@LEOTomeganeactual flamethrowers have an absurd range. So this is possibly more realistic than most video games representations.
@tommysuter4053 I know they do indeed get pretty far irl too, but outranging guns is quite goofy
I played AC6 and beat the campaign once and never touched multiplayer. I chose parts based on what looked cool and never understood any of the stats. Most of the time I have no idea what this guy is talking about but watching this gameplay and listening to him explain niche mechanics that I will never fully understand is really relaxing to me for some reason.
Great content, thank you Chrightt.
Have you already S ranked every mission? You will find that some of those mission replays will need pretty optimized setups (like some of chrightts, although they are usually more pvp focused) if you want to get every last S, some missions care more about speed, some about killing all the enemies with as little ammo cost spent, some want you to just complete the mission asap, not taking damage; most care about everything at least a little.
Thanks for watching! It's really fun to build your own AC and test it in PVP though :) Just don't be too stressed about it.
I prefer fashion core and try to use it well when I touch pvp
@@Chrightt fashion over multiplayer for me, horrible at all pvp and have zero desire to try
"why use flamethrower instead of missiles?"
Because it's fun, that's the only response you need
Ran into you testing this build a little over a week ago with my dual viento and pile bunker build. Really enjoyed the match and wanted to thank you for all the great videos. I wouldn't be half as good at building ACs without all your guides.
Cheers and gg! :D
I watch Chrightt just for correct pronunciations of Dafeng parts
I love the flammenwierfer, it wierfers flammens very good
This reminds me of a build concept I've been toying with. Lightweight Dual launch hi act missile, stationary laser drones, bad cook, and laser slicer. The idea is that it overwhelms the opponent with as many things to think about as possible, while the bad cook makes it harder to see/ avoid any of it, all the while moving in for melee. The problem is that hi act missiles don't work up close and melee attacks aren't well disguised by the bad cook. Swapping out laser slicer for seige missiles works well, though. Still needs more experimentation.
This is based on a blade quad that operated on the same concept in Last Raven. It was a very fun build and could be deadly, but far from meta.
I like to use the hi act missles as an approach tool. Shoot them off 250ish meters out and rush in with them. Opponent will focus on you and get hit by missles or move to avoid missles and put himself in a bad position, if the missles don't derp into the ground then they will still be there and stagger the enemy or be a continuing threat.
@@GusMortis Yeah, they are great with that. Best while assault boosting in, imo. Much higher hit rate (I feel)
theres also those 'kyoriku' anti-lockon things which would further overload the enemy since they lose FCS
Thanks for the build. I've actually tried most of your older builds now with ranked, just to try and get the hang of each playstyle, so it's nice to have more.
Also, early happy new year!
Happy new year to you too! Hope you enjoy this one.
If you _really_ want to piss people off, use the jamming launcher as one of the shoulder bay weapons. Not only does it work very well with the dual flamethrowers’s wide cones of damage against anything trying to get a lock on with 200m of you, it gives you a GTFO button whenever you charge it up and use it on yourself so that you can assault boost away to safety. Guaranteed to rile people up and make them sometime rage quit, lol.
🤔 that's a neat idea
my variation is to have bad cook on the right hand and explosive thrower for the left hand. Bazooka has more range but the explosive thrower shoots faster, miss less due to the very wide cone and has quite low EN and weight requirement.
Explosive thrower is pretty good but hitting enemies with it who jump or stay airborne a lot is pretty tricky. Especially since the charge attack tracker tends to goof
Chrightt you are THE most underrated content creator I know of right now. I recommend your videos every chance I get. Thank you for the cool builds, breakdowns, and helpful commentary!
Wow, thank you! :D
Really looking forward to seeing your waterstrider build, keep up the great work
Came back to the game with the release of Rubicon's inferno and was wanting to try out the Lammergeier. This really helped a lot, helped me change up my gameplan since I was so used to the verril strider build I had and assumed Lammergeier worked best with striding. Thanks Chrightt!
“I’m gonna put less pressure on him so he can live longer”
Damn nice flex
Thank you for taking the time to test everything for the community ❤
This is the type of content I subbed for, thanks for a great look into the strategies that make the difference between winning and losing.
I knew it in my gut the Lammergeier was built to work with the Bad cook, great to see someone way better at building ACs than me find that combos true potential.
This looks SO FUN!
I’m trying this later. I’ve mostly been maining the Lams and been trying to fond builds that aren’t missile rats to play woth it, this would be a nice way to mix it up. I’ve been using the explosive thrower for the same reason you’ve been using the bad cook, the effective range buff when you kite.
Love the build, made versions of it for most of my time in PvP. Though I'd personally go for other back weapons. In my eyes one of the best things about the cook (especially two) is how much information it utterly robs from your temporary competitve buddy.
Honestly, for any reading, please try out any and all other back weapons just to do it. I will not tell you it's going to be better, but you'll have a great time.
Edit: I'd also prefer the Curtis or Harris (maybe) given the tetras, but that might be because i like them admittedly.
Use a jamming launcher as a shoulder bay weapon, then charge it to surround yourself with the jamming cloud whenever the flamethrowers overheat, you landed to recover energy, or you need to assault boost away for safety. The flamethrowers have such a wide cone of attack that even while “blinded” your AC is still a serious threat.
@@JC-eo2qe Right? Genuinely one of the most fun and adaptable weapons in the game. Though I meant to say your enemy is blinded, not you, or meaningfully anyways.
Quickboosting with lams is much better if you toggle off from the hover just to boost, then it’s like any other biped/rj. You’ll know when you’re about to need to quick blost against zimmies or similar things with long cooldowns that are being spammed and can just hop off of it in advance. Extra benefit of it being a good way to avoid a teeny bit of damage against automatics and such on its own because of the sharp deceleration
I didn’t even realize you could charge those drones 😂
THIS IS FLAMING DWAGON!
This is the type of gameplay that keeps me from even attempting multiplayer.
It's tough for sure, but theres lots of fun to be had with it. Teams is there too if that makes you feel better!
@@dungeonwallmeat2113 Yeah, I noticed this game is REALLY tuned for 3v3 that where you can play more off builds. Due to you can finally have a need to multilock and use weapons with AOE
@@ExeErdna It's a lot more fun that way for me, much more chaos and better use of the big spaces the pvp maps offer.
as someone who's never played it, but wants to, I'm so glad I'll base everything on appearance and satisfaction level. (except the boosters ffs)
I also use a Bad Cook build, but its just a Charizard biped.
Happy new year mate, your videos are always a gift and this build ones are no exception, thanks for your effort.
I made something similar ro this when patch 1.05 was released. I couldnt make it work. Looks like you have the right mix to make it work.
GG to you too sir. I was shadow child. You really gave me a hard time.
I had a silly idea of replacing the XUAN-GE with the Javelin Alpha as the mind Alpha AC reminded me about how PAINFUL it is to get hit by it's detonating bazooka
Great build Chrightt, its going to be tough to beat on a BVO.
Hm, i wonder if the lammergreir would outperform bipeds in a scutum build. Probably split missiles or the shield gun paired with badcook or chain gun with an offhand hammer would work.
Strait Cooking 🧑🍳
heyyyy, Aorta rep! It's nice to see the lil guy, it's such a fun niche for lightweight EN-heavy builds.
Coral gens are really good for a lot of builds, it's not exactly a niche choice.
The big one is definitely more popular, but sometimes you just gotta run the small ones when you need the weight saved :P
@@Cheesedragon117 The little one is niche, for sure. Since both Coral gens are very efficient and don't tend to care about your supply efficiency, almost every build utilizing a Coral gen uses the bigger one for its higher capacity stat.
Flamethrower Kite! Yeah, gonna try this out in A-rank for the funsies so I can have some fun without playing LCB Tank.
why not just use gills if booster choice is kind of irrelevant? you could hover super fast AND be able to water stride
At that point just use the starter booster so you can increase your en regen
@@AlvinLu-u2zthere is some ideas on that end, since the booster still give it's QB distance and cost some boosters like the 12345 functions surprisingly well for hover mode quad builds, aka Striders ACs.
3:34 because you're a lot more brittle than other tetras
Because Gills have poor QB stats like duration, EN, and thrust. You try not to QB but you will NEED the QB.
I can't wait to try this! Ranked has me tilted, lol.
Brilliant build!
I love the thumbnail fren
Thanks Panda :D
I just can’t wait to get igasu’s great pulse blade.
Bro, I didn't even know you could charge the Gundam Funnels...
Cool build, but I'm a simple Raven: double rifles & double earshot with quads
I wonder if the lammergeier is the perfect legs for a moonblade build...
Oh damn, I hadn't thought of that before. I know what I am doing for the next few hours. Also going to mess with a CQC build with plasma thrower.
Sadly, moonlight attacks disable hover mode, so no good.
@@rylandfoster1937 NOOOOOOOO...
I actually already made a build very similar to this called AAS: dragon, in fact I made it before the patch came out in preparation for the patch after seeing the leak
You know laser turrets with drones may work better than the missles
That build would be better if we had more inside stages since most people are just gonna run due to stages being massive. If they were inside you can build that web of lasers up where they WILL get hit.
I have almost the same build, except I use MW tetra with a shield and earshot. Though i think I'll change it, as it is extremely hard to deal with rats unless I have a luck with manual aiming my cannons
Hello, Chrightt
So is the choice of the laser drones just because they are harder to dodge than other missile options, or were there other considerations in putting them on the build?
I find that using weapons with differing speeds and trajectories makes it harder to dodge everything due to the variety of timing and direction needed to dodge each individually. Keeps your opponent from finding a rhythm. Laser drones are direct fire whereas missiles require specific direction and timing to out-turn their tracking.
Honestly, the laser drones will often just miss a target who isn't even quickboosting. All you need to do is keep moving
@@weir-t7y Yeah but then missiles will track you until you stop and change direction and speed while the opponent hits you with something else entirely.
When you mix and match weapon arcs and tracking types, it becomes damn near impossible to dodge it all.
A big consideration to put laser drones > other missiles is its ability to stagger punish. For this build, your stagger move is very often going to be your Bazooka, which means you have no way to take advantage of them getting staggered other than an already shot out duo or throwing more flamethrower flames. Laser drone allows you to accomplish both the missile poke and the stagger punish. This is why the drone was chosen.
@@therealbahamut That's basically what "Meep" teaches in their missile tutorials; it's much better to mix missiles especilly ones that look the same to throw off evasion attempts. They can't dodge everything or get caught up dodging the wrong thing.
Love the videos.
Idk I you'll know but any idea on what the peak play time is on xbox?
I've been having trouble finding ranked singles and played 2 teams matches and haven't been able to find any team matches since even tho I prefer teams.
Unfortunately, never played on Xbox
@@Chrightt figured as much. Thanks anyway
Hey is that thumbnail ai generated? Looks cool
Yep xD
Wait. You can charge attack Funnels? Since when?
Since the beginning xD
It's why it's good when using two, to charge one set and send out raw. They'll expect one not both
Maybe try changing out the bazooka for moonlight or something else. The bazooka seemed too situational at least with the moonlight you can force the other AC to dodge twice.
Moonlight's projectiles are extremely slow, you need to be far closer to your opponent to make any use of it
Moonlight is kinda bad. The projectiles are easily strafed and it forces you to get locked into place. Not something I want on a low EHP build.
Were there buffs to tracking for split missiles and pincer missiles? Are they worth using over regular missiles, or are they still gimmicky?
There was a buff last patch (you can check my 1.05 breakdown). It has better tracking now, but you can most definitely still dodge them. It just means that it's more difficult to avoid.
Some men go to the gym to train hard
I train in the gym to make men hard
An annoying build to deal with as a lightweight for sure. 😢
That's quite the opposite, lightweight like BVO will put too much pressure for you to avoid everything and when you get stagger, you explode
@@J.aime_le_pain181 You also can't outspeed a lingering coat of fire, you can deal with it as a BVO but you have a severely limited window.
@@GreazedPanther yeah this build is a rat in disguise
@@J.aime_le_pain181 You call it a rat because you have to deal with it. Yet that lightweight had to kite thus showing they're the rat
wait... I thought that bazookas registered hits on the defender's side after the latest patch???
That was a grenade launcher
@@Chrightt oh. I thought it would count for those too.
What is the defensive stat that affects heat buildup? Anti-explosive? I can’t find anything that explains that. Is there a visual indication of them having ACS failure (overheated)?
It’s a head part stat, I think called attitude recovery or smthn like that
@@BlueIron64 Thanks. I thought that was for stagger but maybe it’s for stagger and all the status effects also.
I dislike the experience of chasing down rat style builds as it's, to me, not really fun just trying to engage while they try to disengage the entire match.
That said, this is a great and well thought out build. Good stuff! Where do you come up with ideas like this?
wheres the share code
Fire Dragon is a bit of a redundant name. Bad Dragon would make a lot more sense.
BURN THE META; LET THE LAST STUN NEEDLES BURN
Correction on hover.
Sufficiently high booster thrust CAN increase the lammergeier hover speed.
But only to 400...
Uh, no. That is because your weight changed, not because of the booster's thrust. No amount of hover boost will increase the lammer's hover speed.
@@Chrightt I'll have to test more and get back to you on that then.
Less of "burn away the meta" and more of "make it nearly untouchable" you have the speed and bs of quad speed builds who hit from afar with a ton of missiles and the only enemy who can get close are VERY LIGHT UNARMORED TARGETS WHO WILL GET MELTED IN SECONDS edit: I use bad cooks
I know how good they can be
How does it fare against viento meta?
Most Bad Cook builds I see run 2 of them and rush enemies - I can see this build coming as a salty surprise to the types who constantly whine about "kiting" and "rats".
Is it whining to point out a game having running away as a legitimate strategy isn't fun to anyone.
@@Baku69895 i can understand being upset at rats (those who do just small amounts of damage then run out the timer) but what is wrong with kiting?
like isnt kiting just about positioning?
Kiting isn’t really about positioning. It’s about abusing the fact you move faster. As long as you understand basic EN management, kiting is super strong and super boring to fight.
If it's not fun then stop playing and go enjoy something lol@@Baku69895
@@Baku69895this has been a legitimate strategy since PS1
They really need to nerf the coral gens. Their energy cooldown on blow out shouldn't start counting down until they touch the ground and should only cool off as long as they're grounded.
Why?
That would make them completely unusable. The whole point of coral gens is that they enable nearly unlimited flight with proper EN management.
@@Kamawan0 flying allows you to never be caught and with tge big ass maps in this game, it allows you to just run away instead of ingage. The amount of Striders and Rats in multiplayer forced me to go back to dual zimms, coral gen, and laser back cannons because fighting against people who just camp the top of the map and run isnt fun. Coral gen needs a nerf and so does AB
That's... That's their whole point. That would effectively just make them identical to all the other generators.
when I think about the actual size of an armored core compared to a human, it makes the bad cook seem so much scarier lol
ive been getting into the pvp and been thinking about switching to mouse and keyboard but the default controls make no sense to me do you have your own bindings you like to use?
No, I actually use the default keybinds 🤣 just got used to it.
