NGI 000 got even better now it's upward thrust is even closer to that of Gridwalker, its unfortunate how Gridwalker didn't receive the same buff of 500
It's a good part of why staying airborne at all is so much better for evasion. Your speed is technically much higher going up or down, so enemy tracking is worse than if you're grounded
Thanks so much for your hard work friend. You are a beloved part of from's community, one thats been saturated with so much halfassed clickbait content and build videos from people who dont know what theyre talking about especially since Elden Ring. Appreciate your commitment to a rigorous study of the numbers and prioritizing information access over your own channel's success. Thank you and stay healthy and happy 🙏
That graph of the boost dropoff at 75k-80k has been the biggest gamechanger for builds in weeks. I've retweaked many an old AC to work around the invisible pit, and made a few stupid ones like putting the fatarse legs on a speedy under 75k build for fun. Also yay the vid I was looking forward to the most! EDIT: I didn't expect learn you can stand on the escort chopper...
Same here, also something to consider allways is EN supply efficiency. It is how fast your EN recharges, on some of my builds i can dubbel the stat youst by seitching generator or other equipments. went from 2,2k to 4,5k on my lightweight when switching generator!
Do we know whether the line in the patch today where "Adjusted various boost speed rates according to total weight" affects this? Should probably be retested.
@@Maawaa I cant wait to get home and test my AB build! Everything is buffed except the main weapons i think! Here is the ID if you wanna try a uniqe and amazing AB build the weapons compliment eachother soooo well! UTG8HLJ5EE1M
@@Maawaa From what I gather the slope after the 75k-80k mark has noticeably gotten deeper. Not sure what it's like before that. EDIT: It's actually the opposite, the ceiling for boost speed has gotten significantly higher for lightweights, and the 75-80k pit is slightly less severe.
The biggest problem with using fat legs on a lightweight is that you’ll eat netcode beams due to low speed, and you’ll take damage due to low defense. Best to pick a side IMO.
I feel like you either pick your boosters to make your build's strengths even more pronounced or to supplement its weakness for the most part. Like, you can totally stick your favorite booster on an AC and call it a day, but maybe you'll think it twice if your build has low EN capacity and just 3 QB will make you run out entirely. It's still a valid option but in terms of optimization it isn't great.
Right as soon as I got the gills and the second coral generator I never looked back. Usually keep on a shoulder weapon that makes you take a stance and use it while the generator is reloading while airborne.
The boosters have easily been the most confusing of all the parts in AC6, so thank you so much for making this!!! I’ve been very excited for this vid to come out
I just want to shoutout an improvement in your breakdown videos I've seen, and that is incorporating cuts to gameplay more frequently in between the numbers. Since movement is more customizable in AC, I guess it's more necessary, but seeing these 'demonstrations' is definitely helpful and engaging.
I think the most valuable info for me in this video was that weight graph and the clear tiers and how to approach that in regards to booster. Amazing !
Thanks for another great vid! One small annotation I'd suggest adding is the kikakus AB EN management. It is essentially the all round energy conservation melee booster! I use it for melee nuilds that chase down reverse jointers a lot specifically for this stat as well.
Your breakdowns are unmatched in their detail and clarity. You've helped me understand the game's stats and mechanics on a much deeper level than I've had with any game before. Ironically it's taken *most* of the challenge out of it. I've started running sortes without shoulder weapons, or with other guns I'm not used to or fond of using. So on top of greater knowledge in AC6, you've also motivated me to have far more variety as well. Keep up the awesome work, I'm looking forward to more updated guides!
that weight graph is super handy!! I also am a big fan of the NGI 001; it rocks on reverse joints imo EDIT: man, they reworked the weight-speed graph in this patch LMAO, rough time to have the video release
Every time you release a new one of these breakdowns, I spend a few hours going back and fine-tuning that aspect of my 40+ builds and differentiating them a bit more into increasingly varied playstyles and niches. It's been very fun, looking forward to more!! Loved your Elden Ring content as well. Your detailed and data-driven analysis has been invaluable!
Your videos are an invaluable asset to the community! I used to get by with the “blue number go brrr” strategy, but your breakdowns have helped me become much more thoughtful with my builds. Much love, and thanks for the hard work 🙏
The SPD isn't the mediocre flyer it's made out to be. It can get up. Obviously it's not a premiere booster for flying, but it is leaps and bounds better at flying than the Alula is, especially with a coral generator. 100% true what you say about midair dodging though. You kind of have to go 'towards' people's attacks just to break their FCS with a QB to the left or right.
Your guides got me using lasers and the gridwalker in a playstyle akin to Boba/jango fett. Tbh, flying around and raining lasers was a fun playstyle and fairly effective with the right gen, even though building around the VE-20B was a pain in the ass lol. It really helped with s ranking intercept redguns where i was comfortably flying around and raining laser bolts. Booster knowledge also helped with srank on the ng++ where I reconfigured my mech to have a stronger assault boost in order to skip first phase. Thanks a bunch, really got me customizing a bit more than just slapping the spd on everything.
Watching this in patch 1.07 - still super valuable, thanks for the in-depth breakdown. Same for the other videos you made on generators, legs, and so on
These guides have been so great to watch. The generators one got me started, and I really got to appreciate the details worked into the parts. Thank you so much for clearing up a lot of the confusion.
So I’ve just started playing two days ago and your guides are the most educational. Even though these things might have changed with each patches, the way you think about ac has cognitively prepared me to fully engage with this game.
The point specifically about defense emphasis above 80,000 weight and or staying below a 75,000 threshold for speed single-handedly changed my entire through process when building after doing it for hundreds of hours. Thanks Chrightt!!
You put in so much hard work, when the patch came out my first thought was "Poor Chrighht will have to start all over again!". Once again this is a very insightful video, thank you for putting these together, you're a hero.

Good job detailing this. Good job fromsoft. It seems there is less of duplicate and most booster ate viable. It's just up to great people like you to explain the use case
Thanks for the video. Some other people doing build videos dont know what therye talking about. I watched a build video where they guy actually said the ngi 001 was the worst booster in the game. My immediate thought was "are we playing the same game?"
Amazing guide as usual Chrightt, great job. One of my favorite ACs to use is a med-heavy bipedal that dual wields siege missile launchers and the soup missile launchers, an idea I got Carla’s AC in the PVE missions and Arena. Because my favorite looks for the AC always floated in the 75k-80k weight, I always tried to go lower to avoid the speed drop, but couldn’t find pieces that satisfied my FashionSouls, so I came here. But finding out that ultimately the extra tanking power I can get from adding more armor and just trying to stay in the air more appeals to me more than faster boost speed. So I swapped to the BST-G2/PO4 so that I can handle most situations and stay in the air reasonably ok.
Mad respect bro !!! ❤❤ much love, thank you thank you thank you, but it of all that, you have to do all your videos all over again, new patch is out and all equipment is completely rebalenced, but hey !! If you redo all your videos, I will be the 1st to watch them all again !!!
The SPD is actually pretty good for using supply recovery to maintain constant flight. The height ceiling on a lot of maps is so low that the SPD's vertical thrust is enough to frequently hit it and the additional horizontal velocity from the boost speed will keep you in the air until supply recovery kicks in after expending all of your energy. It lets you maintain a constant 400-540 kmh if you're constantly ascending and descending and works at around 70-80k weight. You have to rely a lot on carrying momentum in a single direction, so it's not going to be great in multiplayer outside of missile kiting, but a lot of the big set piece bosses and enemies in single player don't have move sets designed to deal with it.
I beat most of the the game with a tetrapod spd build. I got many bosses first try with it too. It had its weaknesses for sure but mostly it was smooth sailing.
Thank you Professor Chrightt, wothout your guides id still be lost looking at all the stats right now, and im in new game ++. I'm very happy about the changes, and if you decide to make a video for it, I'll watch that one too. Hope you are well!
about the 12345 booster: its extra long quick boost duration seems to have an interesting effect on reverse joint legs, that makes their QB leap land much sooner than other boosters. something like 0.8 seconds or so. i use this on a heavyweight RJ build and it's really fun. you get the benefit of the RJ quick boost style without the drawback of being stuck in the air for 2 seconds. the downside of course is you are very slow when not quick boosting. try it out!
@@yozul1 yeah you're right, i was too focused on the gimmick. i switched my build to the NGI and it just feels better to go way faster even if i'm in the air for longer
I've been challenging myself to make a double trouble/kasuar leg build and these videos have been very useful for this. So far the allula booster/ming tang generator combo to be the best as far as mobility, but if you can boost cancel with melee then the gridwalker becomes a viable option as well depending on what shoulder weapons you choose.
Something I want to say that I said in your your most recent video but is worth stating again here, the 12345 boosters are one of the best boosters to use on tetrapod legs while hovering. I don’t know exactly how the math works, but you can reach 600 speed while over 100k weight if you are hovering.

So far the allula booster/ming tang generator combo to be the best as far as mobility, but if you can boost cancel with melee then the gridwalker becomes a viable option as well depending on what shoulder weapons you choose.
Thanks for the breakdown of the booster bro
Something I want to say that I said in your your most recent video but is worth stating again here, the 12345 boosters are one of the best boosters to use on tetrapod legs while hovering. I don’t know exactly how the math works, but you can reach 600 speed while over 100k weight if you are hovering.
