Ngl, White Glint builds like you showed are actually pretty damn fun to use. I've got my own variant that uses SHADE EYE head and VP Biped legs, as well as the single variants of the Split Missiles, but it still dumps out good damage and actually has some speed to it, so it kind of feels like a NEXT in its own right, and with ALULAs I have enough air maneuverability to actually DO the White Glint thing whilst also having good ground mobility. Much speed, much aggro, much fun.
Agreed, that's what I enjoyed the most about my N-WGIX/v build. I just wish rifles in this game (besides linear and Ransetsu) didn't feel like shooting spit balls.
@@dsaBOSSThe damage on Rifles is fine the only bad Rifle is the Ransetsu AR. If anything the problem is they have so little Impact Damage with continued fire so you have to get close to maintain Stagger. But at that point why not just use Close Range Weapons? Thats why most Meta Rifle Builds use JVLN Beta Missiles. Hard to dodge and do great Stagger Damage. But if you make a Rifle Build with great EN Recovery and Vertical/Upwards Boost you can maintain a great distance from most builds (almost) 24/7. You won't have to dodge anything but Missiles so that's EN Saved that allows you to keep hovering in the air. And most weapons can't shoot directly upwards or vertical. And most Close Range Builds use Boosters with garbo Upwards Boost so they'll never ascend towards you. Assault Boost is still a bit tricky to run from but you can just boost towards them and end up behind them when they least expect it forcing them to waste a ton of EN having to restart Assault Boost backwards towards you.
I know people hate the metagame in AC6, but a lot of the earlier entries had it, too. It's just that a lot has changed in the last 10(ish) years; PvP games are dissected by content creators and social media in the first week of a patch now, so it becomes more pronounced rather quickly. The internet has become a gift and a curse for PvP games, bringing a lot of success to great games, but inversely making it easy to find and dissect information on them. That said, balance approaches haven't really evolved in the past 10 years either. Several smarter people have probably tried and failed to solve this, so I am not at liberty to provide solutions, and if I could solve it? I wouldn't be sitting here writing a YT comment about it lol. As for AC6, there's a lot of disappointing things about it, not just from a PvP perspective, but with the lack of options and customization for an AC title. I hope they take some of the feedback on board (as they have for pretty much every past generation), and give us another nicely polished addition (like Verdict Day or For Answer).
Fair assessment, I feel like when Ranked first was introduced is when the meta really became defined. I did notice a trend that the sequel entries usually end up being the better iterations for each title, like you said with For Answer and Verdict Day.
@@dsaBOSS It's why I'm also hoping they heard the feedback on Elden Ring, too. That game, no matter how long I played it, just didn't do it for me. Was too long, too bloated, and the DLC having the equivalent of Ubisoft collectibles to reasonably progress just didn't sit right with me. AC6 was a wonderful palate cleanser, and I want more of that, not just in aesthetic; I'd like it in design, too.
I couldn't have said it any better. But i've been trying to say this the same way @dsaBOSS said it. The 1st Ranked season really put the Meta Game on a billboard for even casual players to see and made Meta that much more common to see. I still vividly remember going up against BVO Players before Ranked was a thing ingame and saying it was OP. And I got called delusional by a few other AC6 Players. Fast forward a few months and now they're complaining about BVO Players too because you weren't able to go at most 4 matches without one being against a BVO Build. With that being said I wish people payed more attention things that weren't Meta rather than things that are Meta. But it's easier said than done when Meta is well.. Meta. Sampus were solid before they got Buffed but they got Buffed and are now an alternative option to Viento Pistols on BVO Builds. Which is great if you ask me. Meanwhile other weapons like Songbirds completely fell off the map. Once considered a powerful Meta weapon but once Players learned how to dodge and how the game works they fell off the face of Rubicon. I'm still shocked they didn't get Proximity Explosions like other Grenade Launchers did considering how wildly inaccurate they are.
Honestly, Balance is a fantasy in any PvP game that people want to be real, but meta game will always exist. The one thing that needs to exist, however, is "Fun" in aspects such as mechanics or customization and I think that's the one thing about AC6 I personally found lacking. The game was just too straight forward in both aspects for me and even if every weapon became viable there wouldn't be more fun. I REAAALLY want them to make a sequel game because I know it can be so much better.
@@bekomon The only approach to balance that may work is to throw so many bits of customization at the players that they get lost, but that's A LOT of dev time, an astronomical amount, and I can't reasonably ask that of devs. Now, that's an entirely unsubstantiated claim, but I think it might very well work. Why? I base this analysis off items like D&D and Cyberpunk and Shadowrun; basically any TTRPG on the market, because they have so many options (barring homebrew taking it even further). You've only got 5-10 people at a table amongst hundreds of options, so everyone's going to have a weakness or their preferred choice of playstyle/character. This leads me to believe that there would need to be an astronomical amount of customization available to players to push metagaming into the far future of a game's lifespan. D&D has technically been in "development" for the better part of decades, though, so I get why that game is the way it is.
1:20 The (arguably) funniest thing about the Southern accent is that I remember seeing an unfortunate amount of hate symbols as their emblems. I imagine they got permabanned, I hope.
Yep looking at ac 4 and vd a build could be a strong meta pick but if you cant maintain tracking it does not matter. But not without risks, run dry and you'll eat shit.
Nice setup, I would personally use a different core like Alba or Mind Alpha for better optimization. Never been a fan of Kikaku, even for pure melee, I prefer Fluegel. If it can fit a Morley instead of one of the Huxley's, it would make for a very fun stagger option.
@@dsaBOSS the main idea of the build is to use Lamms' fast hover to cancel out Kikaku's poor thrust and AB (on top of a rather bulky build), to get the best of both worlds and not have to settle for the second banana Fluegel or/and featherweight twigs. As long as you got the energy, you're at worst as fast as them, most of the time you're flying circles around them (well, directly towards them) both in neutral and especially on approach. HAL is largely there for its generator performance, but Mind Alpha works too. Alba's too flimsy and it chokes the generator, leaving you with less sauce, and this build lives and dies by having the sauce. Right shoulder slot is flexible, anything that fits in the weight and EN load, goes. Morley might work too, but you get two and a half melees to capitalize on stagger with already, I prefer it to be something that works towards getting that stagger, or keeping it from dropping when you disengage to take a breather. Shield thrower can be fun to create some distance, but it's too big brain for me lol.
For a while now. The idea was there, but I tried out different approaches until I was satisfied with the final outcome. Thankfully got it done within AC6's anniversary timeframe.
This hurts so much just seeing how a game series that I hoped and prayed after so long originally hearing that it was a dead franchise to only become PARTIALLY revived and so LACKLUSTER, I still believe that the direction they chose was only a good short term plan but isnt a good long term one.
@@VakovoSheggorri It's tough to discuss because the problems are so fundamental tbh. Long story short, if the classic rifle + melee + missile + cannon AC is fundamentally useless, something is very wrong. Problem #1: Assault boosting makes your AC MORE stable, which is absurd (it was the opposite in every game previous, you'd take more damage or be easier to stagger). All of the game's strongest weapons are close-range powerhouses, everything hits all the time at close range, and yet we're going to encourage people to go for that reward by making it the safest way to play? What's up with that? Problem #2: Assault boosting is equally useful at every angle. Want to go really high? Assault boost. Like, the upward mobility of boosters hardly matters because it's more efficient to just AB into the sky. Problem #3: The scale of the game just doesn't work in tandem with it's speed. Again, it's too easy to close in (because everyone's in each other's faces in the first place), it's too easy to hit with melee weapons, projectiles at literally any distance don't land _enough._ In oldgen, if you wanted to avoid fire, you'd essentially need to wiggle. You could only wiggle for so long because, y'know, everything cost EN. In AC6, if you literally just strafe projectiles won't land most of the time, it's really odd. The way oldgen worked provided our opportunity to close in for melee n' such without needing to basically "home in" on people while it was simultaneously much more possible to get out of the way IF you accepted that you'd get shot up while moving predictably.
i'm genuinely so sad that a game based on buildcrafting and creativity like armored core 6 got reduced to a metafest. i was very disappointed when from added ranked and thus made the entire online experience extremely sweaty with only a dozen viable builds. I wouldn't look down on this if it were a more popular game, but in armored core it'll just drive players away
Amazing, shame though that Fromsoft didn't even really acknowledge the anniversary. I know they're wanting to move onto 7, but the game could really use a little something, I really don't know what though. After playing through it 3 times and not being in a position where I can get anything out of the current online scene, the game has been relegated to a 60 Gb livery maker for me :(
Who can forget about that lovely combo? Each meta build is a generalization here. I could probably devote an entire video like this just to all the Zimmerman combos lol.
Zimmerman completely outclasses the other shotguns though. Should it be nerfed into the ground? No, but the other choices need to have a reason to exist in the game. As for the shield, yes, that shield is in a similar situation where it's strictly better than other available options.

Shield thrower can be fun to create some distance, but it's too big brain for me lol.
😂 how long you been cooking up this masterpiece? Great vid as always man
For a while now. The idea was there, but I tried out different approaches until I was satisfied with the final outcome. Thankfully got it done within AC6's anniversary timeframe.
@@dsaBOSS well certainly didn't disappoint 👌🏽 looking forward to more content
kylo: MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE
True story!!
This hurts so much just seeing how a game series that I hoped and prayed after so long originally hearing that it was a dead franchise to only become PARTIALLY revived and so LACKLUSTER, I still believe that the direction they chose was only a good short term plan but isnt a good long term one.
me and my friend have the same sentiment. it is what it is
they were testing the water with fires of rubicon, I can see them go crazy on AC7 or the expantion
Oh? Please explain how it is so lackluster, I am interested to hear the reasoning!
The way oldgen worked provided our opportunity to close in for melee n' such without needing to basically "home in" on people while it was simultaneously much more possible to get out of the way IF you accepted that you'd get shot up while moving predictably.
i put dual miniguns and 20 shoulder rockets on a Schneider frame
Goddamn Shockmaster VO work on tank Build .
Me being vindicated because no part of my build besides dual Diffuse cannons was mentioned, therefore making me non-meta and the Chad.
Cool video 😂 Meta is overrated. Find fun in creating unpopular strategies with unpopular weapons
My moon rabbit build exists for that reason XD
Four explosive weapons with tank legs and terminal armor is how i like to play
@@rocktoo7603 dakka and bratta is da way ta go
You sound like Dr. Claw when voicing the Tanky Boi!
"I'll get you next time, Gadget!"
@@dsaBOSS MEEEEOOOW!
i'm genuinely so sad that a game based on buildcrafting and creativity like armored core 6 got reduced to a metafest. i was very disappointed when from added ranked and thus made the entire online experience extremely sweaty with only a dozen viable builds. I wouldn't look down on this if it were a more popular game, but in armored core it'll just drive players away
Your a hero for posting this
🦸♂️
My non meta build giggles as double melee kikaku goes brrrrrrr.
Amazing
Rank 9 player here, nebula redshift charged is meta
Amazing, shame though that Fromsoft didn't even really acknowledge the anniversary. I know they're wanting to move onto 7, but the game could really use a little something, I really don't know what though. After playing through it 3 times and not being in a position where I can get anything out of the current online scene, the game has been relegated to a 60 Gb livery maker for me :(
Bout sums it up.
RAT CATCHER MENTIONED🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🐀🐀🐀🐀🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Always nice to see the Rat Catcher getting some appreciation.
this is gold
Thanks!
Lol knew in my heart of hearts those meta teaching vids were bull, call them jackass teaches "No Fun" build.
Bro forgot double Zimmers double beam shotguns
Who can forget about that lovely combo? Each meta build is a generalization here. I could probably devote an entire video like this just to all the Zimmerman combos lol.
tetra always ruled. tetra for anarchy!
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who uses Light Tank tracks.
You're not alone, it's my favorite of the tanks. I know Cleric is also a big fan of them.
Wait, i thought pvp in ac6 was dead?
This is a pleasant suprise
Turns out, when there are only like, a dozen players, everything becomes meta
Honestly the zimmerman isnt tge problem, the ps shield having 5+1 deploys instead of 2+1 is. The 61PB needs to be the shield with the most deploys
Zimmerman completely outclasses the other shotguns though. Should it be nerfed into the ground? No, but the other choices need to have a reason to exist in the game. As for the shield, yes, that shield is in a similar situation where it's strictly better than other available options.
@@dsaBOSS yes the haldmen needs a buff to base impact (450) and range, the sweet sixteen could use a buff accum impact. Thats all they really need
Double Zims not being OP is highly debatable
Pre-nerf, definitely OP as it was the only viable weapon to use online. Post-nerf, still bonkers, but doesn't make everything else obsolete.
