Thanks for the video. It seems to me that an easier way is to simply use the line art layer, without invoking reference layer and without invoking the alpha lock, and color drop each color the same way that you did but into the line art layer. I'm sure your way is superior, but just not sure why.
Thank you so much, I knew it could be done but just couldn't find the tutorial! Btw is it possible to get the same effect when you use the pencil tool because it somehow seems to not fill the white parts inside the lines the pencil makes?
I tried flatting in Procreate but the inability to eliminate the anti-alias has kept me from using the app. How have you adjusted to eliminate the anti-alias? I recently tried Medibang that has the ability to turn off the anti-alias and it can import/export PS files so I can go back and forth between Medibang and PS without an issue.
Just got home and tried it. Holy cow! There is NO anti-alias when you do it this way! Finally I can flat psd files and not worry about blurry lines! Thanks for the tip!
So what I'm seeing is that your lines have to be closed for this to work... you can pretty much do the same in Photoshop with the wand tool minus the actual selecting but if your lines aren't closed you'll still have to manually select with a wand or lasso... correct?
Hi. Interesting tips. Make flatting fast amf efficient. I have tried done filling with the technique.but sometime it keep flooded even the threshold is 0 percent. So i have to go back and fix the the lineart leak.. Any idea how to fix this?
In Procreate there’s no other way around it. What I do is I create a copy of the library I can edit for coloring. I draw in any gaps as I find them and when I’m done flatting I delete that copy and keeps the original lines with the gaps. Hope that helps :)
Fascinating.. That is very great tips. So we can preserve the lineart. Thank you. It really speed up the process. I sometimes frustrated with gap.. And go back and forth to the lineart layer just to draw the gap. But sometimes forget to the flatting layer. So i ended up filling the lineart layer.
When you drag and hold, to control the opacity of the fill, I'm finding that when you go too far to the left I run out of screen space before I get to the 0% opacity (all the way to the left). Am I doing it wrong, or does this happen to you too?
Thanks man, you just saved me so much time filling in flats! Love Procreate!
Holy moly! Super useful! Procreate has so many hidden features, mind blown lol..Thanks!
Whoa, I had no idea you could do this!

Your art is so sweet looking

I meant a copy of the line art- not library. Autocorrect

What u use to record your full screen?
