No it wasnt it was cut from the theatre cut and is still not present in any version you can buy. It was censored because of MPAA and BBFC the rating would not be PG-13 and 12 if they would let that scene in (also some other scenes) there is a workprint with that scenes but only a few people has it.
wasn't Alec Trevelyan like the Judas Iscariot type villain , meaning that they've both betrayed their friends for money . why does he hate 007 and what were his reasons for him and Elektra to betray M and 007
Little resume: in 1945, Lienz Cossacks were betrayed by UK and many of them committed suicide. Alec's parents were some of them. The governement thought he would forget and coud serve but he didn't and prepared his vengeance. He betrayed the English governement but not Bond, even proposing him to join his side, which Bond refused because he wanted to remain her Majesty's fox-terrier.
British government sent his parents back to Russia because the parents were Lienz Cossacks (Russians who outright hated Communism. The Cossacks worked with the Nazis then defected to the British during WWII). Out of survivor's guilt, Daddy Trevelyan killed himself and his wife, leaving 006 orphaned.
By far the best Bond villain, due to his personal connection to 007. And their fight at the end is incredible.
I don't think he would beat Scaramanga, but he is definitely very close.

Bean does a great job of not flinching while firing on full auto. Something not many actors can do well.

The best Bond movie of all time to me. Had some minor roles I did not like (fat pig of a russian guy and what not) but overall very solid movie.
