@@zorpio6469 TT isn't being held this year or last. As it attracts visitors from around the world and substantially supports the manx economy and those sorts of things are banned. Unfortunately you have discovered this at the wrong time. It has been held for over 100 years
As a Manx fella, I'd say it's bike event so bring a bike. The last thing the TT needs is M3 owners club turning up, endangering the bikers (who may or may not be as skilled as they believe). Having said that, the driving here was considerate. Viewers need to remember this may be one way, but it is normal open roads (not a closed track).
I remember the days when the whole mountain from Ramsey to Governors Bridge was free of speed limit and stupid cone control , those were he days bloody fantastic ! , Today the Manx Classic open roads are pretty much as the old times
Really good driving mate. Got to admit though, if I was one of those bikers you're overtaking t speed, I'd probably shit myself. Maybe they should separate cars from bikes, like having time slots or something
@@mlhj83 I think it can be worse in a car when its quiet, when its a bit busy any rider who wants to live is conscious of things around them, when its quiet bikers often don't expect a car to be anywhere near them so don't check as much. Above about 80 you also can't hear much on a bike due to the wind noise.
Thanks! M cars certainly make great all round cars, especially with some suspension and brake mods. My GT3 RS is certainly no faster on a typical B-road.

Isle of Man has no speed limits for many of their country roads. During the TT event, the mountain section is converted into one way traffic for both lanes. Police are everywhere, but you can go as fast as you want, as long as you do so responsibly.
@@craig1996 I disagree , on two wheels on a public road , manhole covers , while lines , cambers , crests , inclines offset , keep it nailed and you’ll die , you’re constantly reading the road surface and making tiny adjustment with weight , power , and trying to balance the front wheel from going airborne . On a race bike you’re reaching 1200 BHP per ton all through 3” of rubber in excess of 200 mph , just holding on is a Herculean task .

The fact that this guy in an M3 was able to keep pace with what looks like a decent 1000 means he is really going some - no one expects an M3 to catch something with a power to weight advantage of 3x on the straights.
@@brokenworld1 if your talking the isle of main TT course , I ve raced it (grand prix not TT) and the mountain section is where a lot of guys come off, up until recently the surface was crap and even in straight line flat out it like being on a bucking bronco .
Well, you can calculate the rough speed from the standardised broken white lines, or given that you can see the tachometer redlining 3rd, 4th and 5th gear, clearly shows that the GPS speed is correct.
Have you actually driven that fast? Looked like it was pretty genuine to me. That also sounds like a V8 ripping so he's putting down about 400hp+ Having had a couple of cars with over 300hp myself It looked pretty much what I'd expect So yeah its the correct speed in MPH
On the straights, sure, but on the corners, I held back as you can see. Didn’t feel the need to try and overtake. I even slowed down to let him back into the overtaking lane.

I love driving but this idiocy makes me thankful for UK speed limits. no margin for error and fatal consequences at best for the driver and worse for anyone else innocently caught up in this stupidity

I remember that too, my favourite part was from The Bungalow past Kate's and down to the Creg, happy days.
