I can just about understand this as a video game. It's inconceivable that this can exist in the real world.
The closest thing to becoming one with the machine. It's a spiritual experience 😂
@@mro9466 And sometimes becoming one with nature.
@@8-bitairhead62 You mean the pavement? :D
@@jrd3807 You mean the stone walls? ;)
@@mro9466 If you mess up, you'll truly have a spiritual experience.
True respect for the people who do this in real life. As much as i like racing i can never imagine myself doing this
This is racing against death dude... You win or you die... won't see me out there either it's insane what they do
@@dirtmasta2960 People don't always die, it's just that the chances are far higher than other events. Guy Martin, Connor Cummins, and Ian Hutchinson have all crashed at the Isle and survived, even come back to try again. At least for two of them, it did involve some significant recovery.
@@StarkRaven59 that doesn't make it sound any safer
@@lorencelaflair4306 It's not safe, don't get me wrong. I'm just trying to make the point that it's not a binary of "finish or die".
It's literally for bragging rights to . Not much money made
I was there last week, absolutely unreal to watch it in person
On my bucket list, feels like I should do it asap
i was unfortunately only able to make it there for the classic tt a couple of years ago, but still, seeing those bikes on sulby was magical
The most dangerous sport in the world. These guys don't afraid to die or get hurt
@@arride4590 yeah, one guy passed last Tuesday. And the racing just continued as normal. You have to nerves (and balls) of steel, and also kind of crazy lol
@@afilleduptaco People die every year at it. It's absolutely insane. The guy that passed away this year was Raul Torras Martinez. He is in the game.
You had a sick lap at 122mph. Now think that Michael Dunlop done a 130mph lap on a 600 ON REAL LIFE is lunacy 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Not on a 600 but Peter Hickman has done it at 136 mph! Just mind boggling
Michael Litrally did a 130mph Lap on a 600 this year..the first to ever surpass a 130 lap on a Supersport. I was there. @@mikeynoclass8240
@mikeynoclass8240 yes Michael dunlop has done it 130mph on a 600
The 1st person view in this game is so immersive and feels so much more natural than in other bike sims, don't know why. Amazing lap!
I agree!
wide angle lens helps with the sense of speed
Ride 4 feels pretty similar
Which sim racing would you recommend? Isle of man, motogp or ride?
@@bishor33 in my experience it's personal preference
Fireblade rider and former TT mechanic here and I love how close the sense of speed is to the real thing, Just imagine where we will be in a few years!
I had the first version of the game. I was amazed at how accurate the course was to reality.
Learning the track took me about two months of this and nothing else for my lap of the first title in this franchise. I know how hard you probably worked for this video. Excellent job.
Which means you're automatically elite, because that's an effort not many people would be willing to put forth.
All I can say about the ride is WOW HOLY CRAP. Thanks for taking us along. I actually did not move the video ahead. I felt like I was on the bike with you man. Thanks man
Just checking, you do know it’s a game right?
Sounds like you think this was actually a real ride.
No idiots I don't think it's a real ride. Democrats ain't worth nothing. That's being nice
I’m going to watch this on my Oculus
Were you aroused when you typed this ?
As a car guy this is fucking nuts props to anyone who can do this whether it be in real life or just a sim
Aww 🙂. Thank you
What. A. Rush!!! Been a fan of the TT for years. This seems so realistic! Never felt this buzzing from a youtube video! Nice one Jake, i stand by my previous comment. You never make a bad youtube video!!
This was a random recommendation. Good job my dude. Commentary was very professional. I’ve been IOM twice to see the race. It’s probably one of the last truly dangerous Bike races on the planet, mad respect to anyone who races here and RIP to those that have lost their lives while living their passion.
Imagine how insane you gotta be to participate in this race. Just look at the in-game scenery of streets etc. I understand they have it memorized to some extent but still, one mistake or an X factor that you cant control, and you're in a wheelchair for the rest of your life (if lucky). Massive respect to the riders participating in Isle of Man.
That was SO INTENSE!! You did an insanely good job commentating.
Incredible! Mastering this course, in this time, in cockpit view, without helping hands like displayed racing line.
Respect! 🙂
In the Replay it does not show if Rider is using those assists or not. Just so you can know, And regardless if you use the racing line its still diffic to keep that fast pace mate
Holy crap man
only part of the way through the lap rn and man its so intense. Never ceases to amaze me how good you are at racing sims. Well done~!
The sense of speed in this game is truly unbelievable. I ride in real life and this game is still thrilling. My top 3 moto games for sure
Great lap Jake. I'm a regular visitor to the TT, and only just got home a few days ago. I know plenty of people whose front yards you could watch from if you ever visit, and plenty of tips on other spots and how to get to them.
Listening to your stream of consciousness as you talk about each stage of the course you're moving through is remarkable, I was awe-struck when you hit the late apex at 5:00 just because of the sort of patience and experience required to pull that off at the edge of your pace. Or for instance, those moments when you have a slight fumble and have to tell yourself to focus and you can't think about it for too long as just how much your focus is at capacity. So thrilling.
Pretty sure he added the voice commentary later on
The commentry was done real time as I did the lap. The only editing was in the intro where I recorded what I said before I actually started and spliced it in to line up nicely with the start
@@GPLaps apologies mate
You sounded so calm at those mindboggling speeds that why I thought voice was added later
@@icarus5726 You're correct, he def did. BSing you for views and likes. Big con roll, used 3rd person no doubt too, and switched for replay.
@@2DStyler grow up - jealous
This is a superb video. Have respected your Grand Prix Legends videos ( and other formats ) for years. Its unreal you achieved this standard in such a short time for IOM TT. You treat everything with deference , respect , talent and intelligence . Hats off to you sir
Mad props to the well-appointed commentary. I really enjoyed how you had a calm explanation and approach to the whole course, felt almost like a museum exhibit on how to take on this incredible race.
Well done! Such narrow spaces at that speed. I really don’t know how you remember it all. I’ve learned Nordschleife in various sims and patted myself on the back for it, but I feel like it has distinct sections that prompt my memory one to the next as I reach them. This though…. I see very little to latch onto.
True also for bike rider there are not much sim out there for training
Makes it even more crazy to think how they could ride in such speed irl
Once you run the course in the game around 10-15 times you get the hang of it. Trickiest part for me was remembering where to break on the hairpins.
Jacob, that lap was epic!! Really well ridden. It was just like watching a real life on board. Graphically amazing. Thanks Jake.
1st video I see if urs, what I loved the most was the commentary as you're riding really helped me understand/feel what you're going thru and guided me along the way
As someone who doesn't normally cover this kind of content, that was damn impressive. Your course knowledge, awareness and commentary were exceptional - how you remember all that is beyond me. I almost knew the Nordschleife once, but the IOM course is something else! Respect 👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome job mate, thanks for the great content and for bringing more attention to the amazing and insane race that is the Isle of Man tt
Great production. Much respect and thanks for your excellent work on this video.
That was a fantastic lap !!! I've never been able to complete a lap on a sim without crashing. Well done mate. Tremendous.
Great Lap! I understand how hard that is to put together and how rewarding that must have felt. Thanks for sharing
wow, it was super clean.I tell you, memorizing all the corners on this race track is a work of art in itself, I am impressed!
Great video. Mesmerizing to watch. 👍
The game certainly looks better than previous iterations, but not got around to playing this myself yet.
I enjoyed 2 a lot because of the historical bikes, but it does feel like in this one they polished it all up a bit
love your intensity man, really captured what the TT is. As well as the adrenaline needed to complete this circuit. Nice!!
incredible job riding *and talking* through the lap. so impressive! 😮😮😮
Great to see the game's paid homage to one of the most incredible racing experiences in the world. Thanks Jake!
Thoroughly impressed with both the gameplay and the commentary. Excellent video.
Fantastic. Love the knowledgeable commentary.
Now for the big bikes!
Great lap. I'm also loving this game and track right now. I'm and old man and have never ridden a real bike so watching you ride in that perspective blows my mind as I have the chase cam as far back as it goes (and the semi auto box, dual brake and the track map in the bottom corner for hints too loL) and even then the sense of speed is wild!. But I love that it's clearly just as thrilling for the pro as it is for the novice. Thanks for sharing.
The TT is definitely a bucket list item. Makes the Green Hell look like a walk down the street for the mail! Thanks and wicked lap man!
seeing how you took Ballaugh Bridge, the way you described breaking for it...embodiment of the risks IOM right there.
RIP Bob Price
Enjoyed your lap a lot buddy! As someone who watches the IoM TT every year on TV it's interesting to see the sim racer lap. Loved hearing your description of the different sections of the lap!
Dude this commentary is so nuts. I was completely immersed the whole time- and it almost felt like you’re the rider and he’s above you talking you through it all
Glad to see you’ve become TT convert. 👍 Good lap, it takes a lot to learn the track on you did well with remembering the place names even your pronunciation is not too bad😀
Hope to see a bit more TT content from you Jake.
Cheers.
WOW man! This is mindblowing! 👍👍
the sense of speed is 🔥
Simply put - a beautiful lap, a lap of the gods. That was a joy to watch.
Great video! Love the channel!
When Jake makes a video in the full widescreen IMAX format, you know this is going to be something special. This is no different.
IMAX is 3/2 though ? That's Cinemascope, at 21/9.
I love watching the Isle of Man but having this perspective, unbroken, for the entire track was very cool. I enjoyed the narration as well...informative but not overdone. Very cool vid, thanks for sharing!
Youve been playing this for weeks and you have a commentary remembering all the corners and landmarks? Incredible, well played man
dude, you're a legend for uploading this in 21:9 properly encoded. There are not many of us ultrawide folks by percentage, but I am very glad you didnt make us be subject to having double black bars in the editing software haha. This video in proper uw (I assuming uploaded in 4k, up from the native resolution of 3440x1440 to make yt use the good compression) has single handedly convinced me to get this game, which has not came on my radar as a life long rider & a decade long sim racer.
looks good in ultrawide doesnt it !
This would be absolutely wild in VR.
Yes but VR is 8 years behind the graphics are terrible on every platform even ps vr2
This isn't true. I've used a set that was immaculate visual fidelity wise. @@Fudge_Fantasy
Superb two wheel content! Thank you.
I just started playing this game and the skill level it requires is insane, but once you get the hang of it, it is so rewarding. Nothing better than adrenaline at the max pulling off some crazy rides
Just imagine being on a simulator that was shaped like a bike and in VR as well 🤟
I love how the Mountain Course is set right at the beggining: thee rider come to the line, no one with you anymore. Just you and your bike... And them come your turn. The start touch your shoulder (the last person to ever touch you? Don't think about!) and your off right to top of Bray Hill. Theres no a long strait to your relax and get the feeling of your bike. It's just the f*cking BRAY HILL. It's almost the course is talking to you: "that's what expecting you, do you gonna continue bro??".
Excellent commentary and great laps. I know just who hard these bike games are 2 play. Brilliant 👏
Awesome driving. You did an excellent job narrating the track.
Ordinarily I refuse to watch Sim race videos, though I have done countless laps of the virtual North Loop. However, a 1st person pov full lap around the Isle of Man is a bit different. I don't recall ever seeing a complete real world 1st person pov lap, seems there's always a cut to another camera through slower corners. The strictly 1st person pov was great, the commentary on top with the name of each corner, section name, hazards, gear, speed and mistakes made it even better. I can imagine the hours invested to run an 18 1/2 minute lap so I appreciate your efforts that allow me to experience a very fast lap around the Isle of Man without any input. Thank you, It was an awesome ride.
Did you drive with steering wheel or with gamepad?. Great video, as always!
DAMN MAN!!!! YOU NAILED THAT! Good job, I love the Isle of Man. This game is worth having for this course alone. I dont have any games but I enjoy checking some of them out, like this video. You know that course like a professional. Excellent narration. You know the riders use this to keep the course in their heads. Every bump every turn, 216 turns? Awesome video.
Thank you literally the greatest gameplay…
I love this track and it takes me 1 million times to practice more than a few corners at one time to get consistent
Definitely like how you teach by dropping gears, smoothing the throttle. Love it.
What are you using to control the bike? Every time I've tried using game bikes with a steering wheel is just felt super weird.
This looks amazing. I'm usually put off bike sims because of the control problem. Short of building some kind of custom rig... Although I've never tried, I don't suppose my wheel would be particularly good for it. You didn't use a wheel did you?
I've played the previous TTIoM games with a wheel, it's surprisingly functional if you set your wheel to a very low degree of rotation (I think I was using like 70 degrees or so, can't remember exactly anymore). It certainly beats any other type of controls for me (emphasis on "for me", though...it may not apply to you).
I'm sure he must've used a wheel here. It's nearly impossible to be this smooth with a controller on this game.
It’s a 20min Death Star trench run.
Can't believe how realistic that is! I drive around the course most day's so im used to it, but seeing the level of detail is amazing, great riding, BTW 👏
Seems like at 5:20 your RPM's climb slightly when you lean over, which is accurate to real life as the outside of the tire has a smaller radius than the center, so it spins faster as you lean the bike.
it doesn't unfortunately, irl it's really pronounced
the original tt games by jester actually had this
This would be awesome in VR. Is there any support?
This is the first time I'm watching any motor bike gaming sim ever, and let me tell you this! ..... I'M NOW A FAN!!. I'm going to subscribe to your channel right now!!. I totally enjoyed watching that, keep em coming. I'm from the UK.
Far. King. Awesome!! Respect! Thanks for the great video and commentary!!
What are you using control wise, controller or a steering wheel? Sounds like an odd question but there's lots of smooth and gradual leaning going on
descriptio nsays he uses wheel base
Great ride, Jake! What controls do you use for the game?
I wanna know this too
Madness. Well done! Absolutely awe struck!
love ur channel dude, always a fan of isle of man, this was amazing !!
I would like to have seen you hit a few more apexes, but nonetheless, that was freaking mental. Great to watch.
I'm guessing you used a controller. I used to have a Thrustmaster Freestyler Bike handlebars controller for PlayStation. They also made a USB version for PC. They're extremely rare and difficult to find these days. I'm surprised with all the motorcycle games out, nobody is making a budget option. I won't buy Isle of Man 3 or the Moto GP Games because I'm hopeless with a controller.
Your very good.
Refreshing to see a skilled gamer/racer using an immersive 1st person view with this game. Instead of some pussy 3rd person view. 💪👊👊👍
Im still playing IOM TT 2. Just because reviews of IOM TT 3 didn't excite me enough into a purchase. It lacks content, and the career mode that is tediously boring for me. which you have to do to get a better handling faster bike.
Liked & subbed 👍👍👍
I love your commentary explaining the corners..and I usually hate when someone talks over the video..but I really like yours
Great video and even better commentary. Well done, truly!
easily the most disoriented video on your channel, but of course the thrill is there. must be nice on a nice setup - how did you do it wheel-wise??? i haven't played anything since the PS2 but i never got much into bike games because there was always more stuff, more controls, more nuance etc.
You can actually get a frame like the front bars of a bike to control for such games, you sit in the middle and just sway it. No idea what he has. I wouldn't use a wheel, I'd just use a controller, with sensitivity settings changed to be lower towards the middle, higher at the edges. Again, don't know what he does.
Both the title and the clip do justice to this extraordinary game. The sense of speed in IOM3 is unparalleled by any sim out there.
You are very good maneuvering the Bike through this SIM game of Isle of Man narrow road track. To handle the Bike the way you do at those consistent speeds, really have to know when and where all the corners are.
For the real Bike racers, this is an insane yearly event and sometimes riders do get hurt.
Thanks for the awesome video and take care.
Thanks for the realistic camera view and the lap commentary without all the nonesense. Proper job. Sub'd. S!
This was an incredible watch, with incredible narration.
wow felt like I was there, your commentary really made it too, well done I need to buy this
You know the route like the back of your hand , amazing Job!
This is truly insane! Well done! I would have crashed 100 times lol. Still baffled people do this in real life, takes a lot of courage
Great video. It really drives home just how insane it is what the TT racers do. Nothing else like it in the world.
I would love this Sim for the winters. Had no idea this Sim existed.
So realistic in some ways.
Love the TT❤
As a former biker, the sounds, sensation of speed and physics in this game are real life accurate.
I've been to the I.O.M. a few times. This sim is amazing. Brought back some amazing memories. Like knee down at the Gooseneck with a vhs video camera duct taped to my helmet. Also passed a police Sierra Cosworth at 140 over the mountain. Happy days. 😂
More then awesome!
Nice clean driving bro!
Excellent ride. Terrific job. it takes some strength to hold those bikes down. especially at speed. Ridden since I was 9 years old. All kinds. 52 today and still love that exhilaration. No more fun than raging through those gears on a well tuned GSXR6.
Man, you play it the way i want to play it!
Blown away by how well you executed the turns...
I'm not a gamer, but im a motorcyclist. And i recently purchased an Xbox series X just to play this game, haha...
Only had for a week so far, but man- learning how to turn the bike with that small joystick is a challenge.
But your video is something to aspire to! 👌
Great gameplay and great commentary. You def deserve more subs
This is breathtaking. You are a god. Thank you. Commentary is perfection.
Wow i sat here safe and sound but felt the tension of that lap. Amazing sim.
I was on the edge of my seat leaning my head and everything watching that lap. Truely the world's greatest race.
Thanks for this great video. I can get round in 20 minutes, occasionally 19 minutes something but I am no where near as smooth as you. Very impresive. I find this camera view very difficult as it is more difficult to control the bike on the turns when the camera is moving about so much vertically and sideways more than in other views, so this is even more impressive. Great game.
Wow the way you manouvered going true gottry !! I never can attack the first half of this one and get the sling shot effect💥👌🤟🤘
dude your commentary is wildly professional and quite fluid. love the vid
That was really enjoyable to watch, great race commentary
You rip dude! Thanks for the ride along
