You guys deserve 5 or 6 million. You two are beyond awesome !
The barrels are purchased from Valleyfield distillery in Montreal or Paliser (Black Velvet) distillery in Alberta. Blended and rebarreled at Found North and finished in the casks noted on the website.
whisk whisk whiskey! not just your regular whiskey, but whisk whisk whiskey!
I believe the guys who started this were out of the Boston area, Somerville. It's two brothers who, during COVID, were like, hey, let's start up a whiskey company. They found a bunch of really old Canadian stock and bought it up. The blends are consistently stellar and unique and fly under the tater radar. If you can find a 007, it's pretty amazing. You guys are great and just downright fun to watch; really loving the channel.
Another Canadian whiskey distilled in Canada and finished in the US is Pendleton. It was my gateway whiskey. While I've mostly moved on to other whiskey's, it still has a place in my heart. The 20 year is very nice.
Found North is legit...funny video! You guys crack me up
Just found Batch 9 about a month ago. Really enjoy it. I have liked every Found North I have, which are batches 1, and 5-9. I have paid $150 each for batches 5-9. 🥃
Cheers 🥃
You are part Canadian with the red flannel. 5mil by year end! Great video!
"I was born" 😂
I love you guys humor and style. Have you thought about expanding to reviewing other type of stuff? Music, movies or shoes? Just asking...
Lot 40 Cask strength, Wisers 22 or 23 year old cask strength are both amazing bottles too! The Lot 40 Cask Strength is 95% unmalted Rye and 5% Malted rye. The Wisers is usually a blend of corn and rye.
Wisers released a 24 year cask strength in the US.
Just don’t forget that sugar water, brandy and mezcal along with mediocre corn distillate is a beautiful rye in this country.
They will never understand that sarcasm. lol
Your guys intros are honestly the best 😂
Lol... batch 10 is dropping soooon! And looks like ill be parting with another $150 - $200. Ill also backup my batch 9 if i can hunt one down.
Not too many Canadian whiskies are 91% corn....so that might explain the different taste.
Actually most Canadian Whisky are corn with rye blended in. Wisers 23 will use the 1/11 rule younger rye to maintain the age statement.
well you get the fire note from all the wildfires from canada letting their forests burn!
The problem with most Canadian whiskies is that they're Canadian whiskey,
Strange that you review Batch 9 on the night of the lottery for batch 10.
What is the correct age for having pocket trinkets?
Also, I can't believe how reticent you guys are to add water to a whiskey.
Crown Royal....icon
It's a Canadian whisky that Canadians can't buy in Canada which is about the dumbest and most frustrating thing I have experienced chasing whisky. Grrrrrr.
Neither of you are wearing trendy seafoam green today. What world do we live in?
1% rye? Why?
Oops, barley.
@@ryanmillar9607 Because a minimum 19 year barley casks are hard to come by in Canada. The Rye % is being going down as well since those aged casks are getting rarer. Hyper aged corn whiskey barrels in Canada are a dime a dozen (Just ask Cat's Eye distillery). I would think that Found North is buying casks with less age and maturing them in their warehouse.
