I remember my grandma putting it on my thumb. I recall the small bottle and brush as well. Maybe it was something similar to oil of clove? Side note I do like the Old Forester 1910 and just picked up a bottle of single barrel.
What fascinates me the most is how our individual past experiences influence how things taste to us, whether it's food, nature, or our parents poisoning, er... I mean, caring for us. 😂🤣 Fun to see a review on a classic! Cheers! 🥃
Absolutely, that is one of my favorite things about sharing whiskey with others. It never fails to spark interesting (or poisonous) stories from memory based on a scent or flavor 🥃
1920 is a special bottle, special friends and occasions, will always have a bottle on hand. For beginners, the OF Signature, 100 proof is solid and inexpensive, as is the OF Rye, more of a bourbon tasting rye.
Justin, you've got such an amiable way of quietly suffering through the incessant shit-testing, then snapping back to that carefree Golden Retriever enthusiasm. 😂 And Kaylin, we know you don't mean it. Mostly. Probably. You two have great chemistry, you could hit any stage just dealing with any topic that way and it would be hilarious 👍🥂
Love my bottle of 1920. Used to reach for the 1910 as well, but these days when I'm in the mood for the sweeter variety I end up grabbing Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. Don't have a replacement for the Old Forrester 1920 though. Just a great all around glass, and my personal favorite for a Hot Toddy.
I bought a 1910 recently and was shocked that I didn't like it. I'd heard that it's similar to Woodford double oaked or Elijah Craig toasted. I like those 2 a lot better than 1910. 1920 is definitely my favorite from the whiskey row lineup
It could have been made by "Forester, who was old" and "I'm allergic to lies". Kaylin, 9/24. I tuned in for a whiskey review and who knew I'd get a comedy show also? 😂
The 1920 has really dipped in quality since they updated to the new label. If you can find an old label 1920, it’s well worth the comparison. Cheers friends!
0:07 Caitlyn (or Katlyn...or some other variation...sorry, not sure of the spelling..) probably trying to figure out that starter 'stache :) Although that whiskey room should make up for anything! New to the channel, but love the dynamic - seems like a back and forth my wife and I might have. :) 8:14 :D Good sir, tread lightly. Seriously, though. Love the back and forth. Thank you @whiskeyvault for recommending! (ua-cam.com/video/EvZKcqmRlOk/v-deo.htmlsi=yHiKj11-f3Wwv0a0)
I have a friend that tells me this is his favorite bottle and that i need to get one myself. So after weeks of listening to it, i buy 1. It honestly tastes like im drinking a glass full of dirt, banana flavored dirt. I couldnt get past that and gave the bottle away 1 week later
Aww I’ve definitely had that happen to me before too! As bummer but everyone’s palates are different I suppose. I wonder if you might enjoy the 1910 instead 🤔 🥃
Erik and Donna from That 70's Show. Anyone else getting that vibe?
now that you mention it.....YESSSSS!
Holy crap...I totally get it, now that you pointed it out.
Yep
These two have perfect chemistry lol. Very entertaining. New subscriber.
Just had a nice healthy pour of this tonight. 🥃🔥You guys are great! New subscriber!!
OMG!! Can’t believe you did a 1920 review. I’ve been watching that bottle since Kalyn’s debut! Cheers 🥃

"I'm allergic to lies". Lol
"This is the only Old Forrester I own"....meanwhile the bottle on the left side of the screen says "Old Forrester" on it.....too funny!~
He means out of their Whiskey Row series. The blue label is a SiB. 👍
LIES! 🤣

The way you open your videos still kills me!
"Prohibition style"
"Old"
You guys are awesome.
Good stuff! I’ve enjoyed many bottles. Also enjoyed your banter.
I enjoy 1920 a lot. For sure the goat of the OF shelfers
Can’t wait for the welding video. I assume welding and drinking bourbon is a match made in heaven.
Only one way to find out 😅

1920 was my go to but my last 2 bottles...1910. darker, toasted marshmallow...really good.
Lol Liked that pour method , Old times there, brings back memories of old relatives, Lol.

I know exactly the nail product you are taking about! My mom put it on my brothers nails to get him to stop biting them 😅 It worked. Cheers!
First thumbs up !!! Big Fan, keep hustling !
That’s granddaddy’s medicine right there
960 I think was the number you're looking for. Half of 1920!
Idk why that intro just cracks me up lol
5:06 like a 9 volt battery? lol
Actually I just popped the cork on a new bottle tonight, one of the best Shelfers for the price, beats most $100 + bottles in my opinion 😉👍 Cheers 🥃
For sure! I'd gladly take two 1920s or a 1920 + 1910 over a handful of other $100+ bourbons.
Take a 1910 and a 1920 and blend 375ml each into another bottle and make a 1915! Trust me you will enjoy!
great Arrested Development style outros. love the easter eggs
I'd be lying if I said that show hasn't been a major influence for my entire life 👌🏻
Company named for a Dr. Forrester who made the whisky during prohibition. Dropped the second R after he passed.
One of my favorites
Hell yes to Banana's Foster! Delicious!
Sadly, under a quarter bottle, my bottle seems to have lost the banana honestly.
You two are so funny.
How y’all like the single barrel ryes?? Looks like I see two that are near full? Is it worth the gamble at $150
I bought a 1910 recently and was shocked that I didn't like it. I'd heard that it's similar to Woodford double oaked or Elijah Craig toasted. I like those 2 a lot better than 1910. 1920 is definitely my favorite from the whiskey row lineup
I took the last quarter of a bottle I had and mixed it 50/50 with Old Grandad 114 (the budget king) and it was darn delicious. Cheers

"Lies make ears itch." - Very Special Agent Tony DiNozzo.
It's a punch in the mounth awith a dalishes finish. Yummy
Well, there it is! I’ve been fearing some therapist was going to dredge up some horrible thing I did or didn’t do that scarred my children!
Just killed my 1st 1920 bottle last night. I love it but I struggle that it's $65 and WT Rare Breed is $45, which I just bought 2 more backups of.
WHISKEY CHEERS 😎
Can’t go wrong with that bottle
Great work 😂
Cheers 🥃
Please don't tell Chad and Sarah, or Average Drinker that you are my new favorite Whiskey couple.
Kings Ranch if you can find it.
Ah I haven't been able to but have heard great things...I'll be on lookout 👀

add a drop or two of water

Hey every ‘stache must start somewhere! 😅 Glad you stumbled upon our channel, welcome aboard 👋🏻
Former child nail biter here. I was also poisoned by my mother with that product and turned out totally normal. Totally.
"I was also poisoned by my mother" 🤣We all gotta stick together!
Old Forester 1920 tasting notes; Banana and thumb.
Award winning combo 🤌🏻
Love ya'lls videos. It was called Thumb for the thumb sucking
👍🏻
I like 1915. Half 1920 and half 1910.
Like them both. Mix a 1910 and 1920 50/50 for a 1915, chefs kiss
🤌🏻
Love the 1920, 1910, and the 1915 home blend. Always have some on hand
Care-uh-Mel.
Shut up Dustin!!! Stop hogging all the smelling notes!!! 🤣👍
1. 1920
2. 1897
3. 1910
The 1920 is amazing, the others are good but not in the same class.
1920 is four year old bourbon.
I prefer 1910 more. No need to add water.
👍🥃

You look like my girlfriend from high school .
It is shocking how much she looks like MY girlfriend from high school...👀
@@otbwhiskey 100% that is my girlfriend from high school...
I like the Statesman. Strange but true
.🥃.
..🥃..
I bit my nails as a kid and my mom put that bitter crap on my nails to stop me.
Good to know there are other survivors ✊🏻🤣
Is she always like this? No thanks
We can see the other old forester to your left on screen
Came to learn about 1920 Old Forester...left when the annoying emo woman started talking.
