- Living in the tundra Midwest, I find this trick to be the most effective and practical year after year, especially this year with daily use of 😷 that has made areas on my nose and chin extra dry and sensitive.

Thanks for this demonstration! I was definitely using WAY too much Cerave HO…
I do slugging in summer too, it makes my skin shiny and smooth 😋
Now that makes sense! Thank you.
Every time that I would go to a dermatologist they would try to screw me over and give me all these harsh products because I have dry facial skin and so I found products that work for me.
And what I do the same thing that she's doing here.
What's the last product? Our winter thankfully has not really been brutal
Skinfix?
Should i do this w combined skin?
Sometimes the skin fix irritates my skin.. do you know why? I see a bunch of deems using it and I purchased a set of the cream and refill.. I really want to use it but idk what I’m doing wrong… 🤦🏻♀️
CeraVe Healing ointment has mineral oil, should we be concerned as it is said to be bad for the skin? Please educate.
amazing
Di pake berapa hari sekali dok?
Can you use retinol two to three times a weak while slugging even if it's not on the same day you slug but on different days
Hi, I do it everyday and i have no problems ,
Some people can experience irritation by slugging an active ingredient. If your skin can "handle it" you can, but it looks like this is more for keeping the skin barrier moisturized
I use retinol and niacinamide and I just use pawpaw to slug with and in the morning my face is smooth and soft
I swear the corners of my mouth are the driest things ever, I slap Vaseline and Lotion on them like every 2 hours and wash my mouth a billion times a day idk what to do 😭
Shea butter!! Also washing your face wit African black soap w shea butter. ❤
I mean- I think washing your mouth a lot is probably making it worse for you, your stripping the skin of its natural oils which it needs to keep the skin moisturized. Keep the washing to a minimum and apply your moisturizer on damp skin, than vaseline, hopefully that helps :’)
update they are good now, never get dry idk what i did but i worked ig? 😅
@@Shawarma101 That’s great, I’m glad everything worked out!
@@Shawarma101that's probably because it was the winter when you first commented, and now it's the summer, so your skin isn't as dehydrated
I want to know what your cleanser and moisturizer is.
i have no idea ab the cleanser but from what i could tell from the packaging the moisturizer used is the skinfix barrier* triple lipid peptide face cream!!
@@cupid2021 thank youuuu
Uhhh at the risk of sounding dumb… what are actives?
Ingredients like retinol, retinoids, glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid, other polyhydroxy acids. They're good for your skin barrier, but can cause irritation if used too much or too often and will likely be irritating if used underneath an occlusive layer of petrolatum. So on nights you want to slug, stay away from products that have these ingredients. Stick to neutral serums or moisturizers like vanicream products which are well known for sensitive skin types because they don't have any actives.
What is the thought process behind skipping tretinoin?
you shouldn't use active ingredients because slugging makes them stronger and it can actually damage the skin barrier
I got comedones just watching this
Hmm
Hey Doc, u super cute, and btw u have got a Doppelganger, which basically means u got a lookalike. That too from India, And the Indian movie actresses name is Soha ali khan. Please googla her
Song ?
Neffex how it’s supposed to feel :)
But I've heard petroleum jelly like stuff r really bad for skin. They clog pores
Yes it does. I’m going to try with glycerin
Mostly if you have oily or acne prone skin. Look up “slugging” on UA-cam. I learned today that if you don’t have the oily skin, it can work wonders for skin as long as you don’t over apply. But you have to make sure your skin is clean before you put it on because it will seal everything underneath
@@solarlola5953 It does not, it’s non-comedogenic.
@@so.many.obstacles exactly, It's non- comedogenic. Vaseline clogging your pores is one of the biggest myths in the skincare world. Wash your face, moisturize, then use it.
@@solarlola5953 it doesn't clog pores
Spread the word about God
GOD, my GOD is gigantic
That spiteful bitch? What about him?
Just putting some petroleum jelly on your face isn’t slugging, you’re supposed to use a lot or else it isn’t slugging
