Jesus! Learn to appreciate something and shut up about it. The people in her life, the ones she needs to hear it from, like her husband, tell her what she needs to hear. Comment something else about the video, ANYTHING else.
Sure ill just skip over creepy shit, sounds like a great idea... at least you are providing comedy too, i laughed out loud at your comment about 32 likes and that puts me in the minority. 32 unaware individuals, in no way shape or form, makes up for the millions that hate creepy guy shit. Ignorance on their part doesnt account toward acceptance for you.
This Canadian babe fell head over feet for Alanis back in the 90's when she first emerged on the scene. In my eyes and ears she was a magical unicorn.. and well.. nothing has changed!!! She has only become more magical if you will.... 🤩🥰💖🦄🍁
Alanis is amazing , i am a 70 year old musician and when i first heard Alanis back in 95 she knocked me out and i never go to many concerts but i had to see her in 95 and she was mind blowing
Thx Britt, when Alanis released her album Jagged Little Pill in 1995 it instantly skyrocketed her to international fame from seemingly out of nowhere even tho she had already released two previous albums here in Canada. I hope that you continue on your journey with her music she is an incredible writer and storyteller.
Ugh! Her voice just melts all over my soul... I can't stand it.. I love her soooo much.. And to hear her sing "Live" ?? It's so amazing... ❤🙏 (***""And Of Course She Plays The Harmonica""***).. 😂
Love watching you fall in love with Alanis... it's like falling in love with her music for the first time again for us! Music heals, inspires and unites like nothing else!!💯 It's a beautiful thing and thank you for sharing your journey with us.❤ Keep in mind, her entire catalogue is nothing but pure magic and you can't go wrong with any song but for whatever reason the 2 songs that always pop into my head when I hear Alanis's name are... - "THANK YOU" and - "HAND IN MY POCKET" They're incredible and the lyrics are simply genius. Thank you is more on the touching side and Hand in my pocket is more of a fun one but still inspiring. Hope you check them out sometime. Peace and light...💞
So glad u reached to this one. It’s awesome that they used this song for their wedding song… Like u said it’s not a traditional wedding song, but it’s a great wedding song imo.
NATALIE MERCHANT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND... kind and generous... what's the matter here.... my beloved wife.... these are days... ANY SONG REALLY- she sounds like an angel
Phenomenal song from one of my favourite female artists ever, Alanis a very intelligent clever songwriter and her lyrics are so amazing, she has a huge catalog of amazing songs, and I’m so blessed to have seen Alanis live on six occasions during her career, she was always phenomenal live, Alanis not only plays the harmonica she also plays flute piano and guitar, and has won 7 Grammy awards and a total of 38 music awards altogether, great reaction thanks 🙏
As much as I love Alanis and her music and this performance all I could think about as this reaction was wrapping up, is "Who else out there does reactions like this? No one. You are a true gift, Britt and we are privileged to be able to join you for this musical journey of discovery you are on. Thank you!
Love your reactions to Alanis Morissette's music. My suggestion is try to listen to her"Still" song, which she wrote for "Dogma", a movie by Kevin Smith. For the record, though, Alanis stars in the movie as God herself. The lyrics of "Still" are poetry
She may have actually coined the term 'friend with benefits' in this song. I had never heard the expression before when the song came out, and a trademark of her lyrics is wordplay and inventive, funny-yet-meaningful expressions. (My favorite quirky Alanis song lyrics are from 'Not the Doctor' and 'All I Really Want.') All of the singles from this album were *massively* popular unlike most songs today can be because music is distributed less universally then. The popularity of the songs from this album actually hurt her career tremendously because her music was so good people wanted to hear it constantly, and it became so overplayed that people became intolerant of her music for a long time. I really, really wish that younger people would look back on the music of the '60s and '90s and realize that the great artists of those decades (There are SO MANY absolute ingenius songwriters.) wrote all their own lyrics, largely without collaboration and when they did collaborate, it was with one or two people, not a dozen as is the standard practice today. That made the lyrics more organic and expressive, less paint-by-numbers. And these artists played their own instruments and mostly sang their own songs without vocal processing and without backup singers. It's such a stark contrast to what has become an assembly line production music industry. I'm sure so many talented singers today could write witty, thoughtful, even profound songs if they weren't owned by producers and made to collaborate with a dozen writers who all want a piece of the songwriting royalties and who are entirely focused on any basic, usually sexually explicit, hook that will snag people's attention.
Love the react and the reminder... i lost this song somewhere along the way.... And you have a beautiful voice, a kind smile, and an engaging presence. LOVE it when you sing... gorgeous is not a big enough word. Peace and Love, as always, to you and to yours.
When this album (Jagged Little Pill) was new, I bought it on cd. I love every song, especially this one. A couple of years later, I got to introduced it to my gf/wife-to-be and she felt the words was her exact feelings towards me (unconventional). It kinda became one of our songs that would always put us into a happy mood. I don't remember all of the songs at our wedding, but I believe this was one of them. A pop singer that used a bit of yodeling (not the same as what Alanis does but ...) was Jewel.
Britt another great and original artist with her style. Love the Canadians, and my favorite song by Alanis is "Uninvited" which I think would enjoy. Love the reaction. Her style reminds me a little of Delores O' Riordan (RIP) the lead singer of the Cranberries.
Lol, I had a musician friend in college, and he always said you know you’re a good singer when you can just make random noises and people still want to listen to it.
This is on par with Joni Mitchell's song writing AND performance, IMO. So nice to hear creativity delivered so gracefully.....and pulled off with only two guitars and her harp!
My wife says this is her song for me because it describes how I finally won her over and then once i did she hated that she waited so long to give me a chance. ❤
Big props to Glen Ballard from Natchez Mississippi! He co-wrote/produced "Jagged Little Pill" with Alanis. Also "Man in The Mirror" by Michael Jackson! His list of collabs is crazy!
Alanis is such a talent. She writes and composes in such a unique manner. Most of her music is someone's favorite 90's song. I think her shiniest (not a word??) song has to be "uninvited" And I say shiny meaning the writing of the lyrics, the Music composition, and the Vocals are incredible. I hope you react to it.
Alanis is such a good performer! When she picked up her harmonica I immediately thought of Allison Kraus on the fiddle. You’ve listened to Allison and seemed to enjoy her sound. Here’s a live performance she did with Union Station on a song called “Atlanta” that is modern bluegrass: ua-cam.com/video/sZP5U6SW_08/v-deo.html
If you like Alanis's vocalizing, you should check out the tracks she did with the Dave Matthews Band. Specifically Spoon and Don't Drink the Water. There voices blend perfectly. It was the first time we got to meet chill Alanis after the Jagged Little Pill album
I know her but never heard that song. It is great, I am with my wife for 13 years now and she loved it to, we can relate to it. I am maybe the luckyiest guy in the world but the magic is still there. Don't mind the "naysayers" that will tell you that love goes away with the years. Sorry for my mispelling (I just had to react). And by the way, you are probably one of the best on UA-cam
Requesting this one agaiin... "Your House" PLEASE do the studio version and not a live. She changes them too much. This one is supposed to be a capella and sometimes she has music with it when it's live. Totally ruins the punch if her voice. You won't be sorry. Your House shows off her vocals to perfection
why she always watch Alanis older and on the Stern show, she missing a lot of the greatest of the rock sound of Alanis. Find some 90s or music video. I love Alanis and she is great unplugged but you need at least see some of the more raw side
You spoke of her powerful voice on another vid. If you wanna hear another powerful female voice of a different kind I have to recommend Skunk Anansie. Particularly their track "Secretly".
I told you that the music video for "Head Over Feet" made me fall in love with Alanis, and you said you'd add it to the list. Then you show this? This is not the music video, Brit!
I really like your reaction- speaking of alanis doing what only alanis can do, the entire 2nd half is just visceral, fabulous, Alanis- so raw in '96! ua-cam.com/video/mrIdlFngdqY/v-deo.html
Listen to her album a jagged little pill these songs you are reacting to are on there and they are more upbeat on the album. She is a rocker and it is nice to hear thses songs done like this but give the up beat Original version a chance
sounds like hers she does i see as a new age form of skatting in a way and placed rite makes a song fingerprint that cant be duplicated even if people do there songs, zepplin for instance people can sing there songs but they can never put the sounds that he adds in or to fill space like plant can its his finger print
Alanis was heavily influenced by Joni Mitchell. If you listen to her you will understand why immediately. Songs like "Help Me", "Both Sides" "Big Yellow Taxi" "Tapestry" and more.
She sang "I'm not used to liking that." She just stretched out the notes for the word "that". You edited out the beginning of the first chorus. Her singing nonlyrical sounds is her version of scatting. React to her songs Ironic, Hand In My Pocket and Thank U please.
"You treat me like I'm a princess... I'm not used to liking that" is the part you couldn't make out what she said. Acoustic versions like this are good for a change of pace but you should be reacting to the original recording first. It has much more power chords and drumming than this.
You know what young lady. You yourself are a talented artist. There is a happiness, a positive energy you transmit to your watchers.
😊I agree wholeheartedly, her spirit is beautiful, uplifting and infectious (and she can definitely sing😉)!❤
Jesus! Learn to appreciate something and shut up about it. The people in her life, the ones she needs to hear it from, like her husband, tell her what she needs to hear. Comment something else about the video, ANYTHING else.
Tina dont encourage creepy ass

She's saying "Liking it" ... thats what you couldn't hear. And she put a super twang on it 😂
Lol Brit
it’s “liking that”

I saw her with my youngest daughter in Philly Man she was amazing!✌🏻☀️
A cup of coffee with you sounds awesome probably so much knowledge
Glad you've discovered her. Another fun one is "Hand in My Pocket"

from such a great album! historic even!

Quite simply...a great reaction!!!
Just bought my ticket this morning to see her this summer!!! Soooooo excited
mini ripperton inside my love! best whistle note in the game ever!
She's an amazing Canadien artist proud she's one of ours
alanis morissette is my secret. I listen to her jagged little pill album all the way through, all the time.
I love watching her sing 😊❤ great songwriting
"Hand In My Pocket" should be next ...enjoy your Alanis journey!
The lyrics are: „You treat me like a princess and I‘m not used to liking that!“
👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍your smile shows how good she is
Can't get it to work
I never win
again and again on howards show the artist sound so fng good. talent shows in this type of setup and damn she has it.

🇨🇦 I TOLD YOU ! I will make you hear me !
I told you, Canadian female artists are BadAss !
First verse “You treat me like a princess; I’m not used to liking that”
"I'm not used to.... liking it."
It’s beautiful! Fyi, the #CLASSIC song is likewise
Alanis is unbounded by conventional phrasing. Great work Britt
I know her but never heard that song. It is great, I am with my wife for 13 years now and she loved it to, we can relate to it. I am maybe the luckyiest guy in the world but the magic is still there. She was one of the first “cursive singers” haha
Yeeeesssss
Try to listen to her "My Humps" parody. Her voice is so angelic, though lyrics says otherwise 😅
I would love to hear you do some covers of this and similar
The line is "I'm not used to liking that"
Requesting this one agaiin...
"Your House"

I know you like storytelling you should check out Red Sorvine Teddybear or Phantom 309

I’m pretty sure she says lying in
Remember she played God in the movie dogma.
Britt is cute as a button.
girl water your plant it's driving my crazy 😊😊
She said "I'm not used to . . . . liking that", do a lyric video for once ?
You should check out some songs from Jewel next

"im not used to liking that"....
one of my fave from Alanis, I like the studio version better than this one though, but it is an interesting spin on it
1:47 "I'm not use to liking that"
It's "I'm not used to lying like that"
What she says is:
You treat me like I'm a princess
I'm not used to liking that
You ask how my day was
Alanis was heavily influenced by Joni Mitchell. If you listen to her you will understand why immediately. Songs like "Help Me", "Both Sides" "Big Yellow Taxi" "Tapestry" and more.

React to her songs Ironic, Hand In My Pocket and Thank U please.
ugh these Howard Stern variations drive me a little nuts lol I don't know how to feel, grew up on the originals lol
