Awesome video as always Daniel and Marisa. Daniel, you made a great shooting for black and white video that got split in two... I started to watch it, left it for when I could give it 100% attention, but now it's gone Tell me it's coming back online!
Very nice folks. Nice shots. Any new Mentoring Marisa on the horizon? Just on a different note, I often find Marisa has a somewhat close resemblance to Grace Kelly. Could be how she carries herself also. Just a rambling side thought.
Very cool demonstration! I didn't realise how much of a difference that step back would make. Will have to try it once I get a second stripbox! Did you work out what made the noise!?
Great example. I noticed in the second shot she had a strong catchlight in her eyes and not many shadows on her face, I can see the shadows maybe lessened from the strip boxes but why was there more catchlight in her eyes when you moved her backwards?
Hi Daniel, Many thanks for this and all your videos! They are a great source of knowledge and inspiration! Could you please try to explain one thing, I try to figure out and it is very obvious in this video? You said, for the second look, “She is further away from this light which is gonna make it harder.” But the second look looks definitely softer to me, Marsia's face is lit evenly (because she is further away), there are less shadows in her face. This doesn't fit in that famous concept "hard/soft, further/closer, smaller/bigger" to me! How do you explain this? Many thanks! Bojan
I understand what you are saying. I think the rim lights are wrapping around filling the face making the front light more of a fill. In general There are just less shadows available to see if they are hard or soft.
Always love the Dynamic Duo of Daniel and Marisa.
Marisa *is* Wonderwoman, with and without lighting 💫
Thank you Daniel, it's everytime good to see the positioning of the lighting! ;)
Awesome! Does anyone else wish they had a best friend like Marisa and a creative mentor like Daniel?
Hello from Nicaragua You! You are great! I have learnt a lot with your videos.
The shadows are so different on her face by taking 2 steps back. Love it Daniel! As always, great work Marisa.
Thank you for this tutorial, dear Daniel and Marissa.
Short but good video. Thanks to both of you.
Interesting and useful lighting, Thanks Daniel and Marisa 😎👍🇨🇦
Short, simple, comfortable, yet concise. Great video, thanks for the wisdom❤
hi Daniel, hi Marisa, great, nice video. :)

You make it look so easy 🙂

I wonder if my studio is too small to have this setup, but I love it

Sounded like a scaffolding outside. Maybe a window washer? Either that or they got aliens running around the vents.
Hope to see few more videos from you before new years. Thanks for making the videos.
Very Nice 👍, thanks for sharing this 👍
Love how the strip boxes outline her cheekbones.
Stripboxes are my favorite
Another great tutorial.
She is wonderwoman

That was nice
Thanks!

You might want to check the link to the clothing store. Does not work.
Does the first shot have shadows under the cheek that narrows the face?
Where do I get myself a Marisa :o)
And ? what was that weird sound ? now we wanna know it... 😁😋
Avoid vegan tacos when back-lighting!
:)
Thank you Daniel @ I.Shoothumans
