    Hi Gabby… I’ve been a hairdresser since 1972 I’m 68 years old but I’m a young 68 years old… I’ve been following you for about three months and I just adore you… You’re so informative and you’re right on… And so transparent… I do my own hair… I am a blonde… And I saw your haircut… I went to a hairdresser to Cut my hair like yours she did a great job but I hated the curtain bangs… I came home and saw your video on how to cut your own bangs I followed your directions… And they came out amazing thank you so much … Please continue your informative videos… Also I had very very long thick hair and when I got the Covid my hair started falling out and now I have sort of thin hair and your advice on thin hair is amazing… I have started doing Botox and everything and I watch you first before I do anything thank you again you are a doll…. I practice being a nurse now but in my heart I am a cosmetologist I still have my license also again thank you love you

    My mother (God rest her soul) was a hairdresser in the seventies and eighties.
    She mostly did older ladies’ hair, but she could do everything else too. She showed me how to cut my bangs just like you are now, and I’ve done it myself from time to time, but it always looks boxy like you said. My mom didn’t show me the part when you pull the hair to the opposite side,
    so it never looked completely beautiful. Good, but not REALLY good. I’m happy you showed this so I can complete my bang beauty🥰

    You are a life saver ❤️ I have learned so much from you that has helped me so much. My hair is so thin, and my eye broughs are almost gone. I never had a sister or friend that was into hair and makeup. I have 4 older brothers and my Dad was awesome, he was my softball coach and I was a Tom boy. So I stink at hair and makeup. I want to look pretty and never knew how. Your a big help to my low self esteem 😊Thank You so much ❤️

    Hello Gabi!! I am so glad that I found you and your amazing videos. I hope all is well with you and yours. With fine, straight and sorta thin hair, you give me hope!!! It is awesome to be able to learn from you and bring it to my hairdresser. For the first time in over 40 years I am growing out my bangs. This will be an awesome way because it will give my facial structure a youthful and soft look. I absolutely love you Gabi, your energy, your gentle but firm truth, your guidance and the time you take out of a busy life to help us all feel great about ourselves and our hair. So much love peace and joy to you and all who gather here. Be happy 🤭 Be well

    Love your videos! I’ve been needing to cut my hair and wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. This curtain bangs look was just the inspiration I needed. I gave myself some curtain bangs right away and then trimmed and relayered the rest of my hair. I love the overall look and you’re right-the curtain bangs look super cute with a quick updo! I love my new look. Thanks so much.

    The timing of this video is perfect because I have been debating doing this exact thing! But I'm scared because I have zero bangs right now so I'd be cutting a lot off.. Also a stylist told me once (like 20 years ago) that I could never get bangs. Are there any indicators that a person's hair won't work for bangs?

    • @GlamGirlGabi
      @GlamGirlGabi  3 роки тому +7

      I can’t see why it wouldn’t work unless you have a very aggressive cowlick. Even then you could still do it, it would just require a lot of daily styling. You have such high and beautifully pronounced cheekbones that I feel like a fringe that highlights this area would be incredible on you. Since it’s your first time and you have no reference point, I would let your stylist do it. And then you can follow this tutorial for maintenance. I am doing a video very shortly on the best fringe for your face shape. Hold off a tiny bit because you may get some other ideas from that video.

    Not a dramatic side part, that's definitely out of style. Works better for me cause the middle part highlights the asymmetry of my face

    • @GlamGirlGabi

    Thank you!! Great video… do you recommend to blend hair when you have longer hair ?

    • @GlamGirlGabi
      @GlamGirlGabi  3 роки тому

      Yes! You can blend by slide cutting. Take the curtain bangs and start at the longest section and slide the scissors down to connect the front pieces. If you’re not experienced, make sure to get a hairdresser to do it :)

    How do I cut curtain bangs if I have very fine, thin hair? Do I make the triangle further back?
