I followed your tutorial step by step and it turned out fantastic!!! I have just the right length layers and I finally achieved the face-framing layers I was lacking and never quite achieved at the salon. This was so easy to follow and it is seriously the best cut I’ve ever had-and I did it my self!!!❤. Thank you!!!!!!
Thank you❣️ 💯🥂 I have been try to tell stylists this is the cut I want for years now since I had it done once long ago and it was the best ever. I say long layers and no hole on my left side. No one has ever gotten it quite right. I appreciate this tutorial and am glad I’ve put off the cut until now.
Great turorial! For years I've been cutting my own hair exactly like this method. If you master this method there is really no need to ever go to a hairdresser again.
I can't thank you enough for sharing your amazing skills with this cut. It's literally been life changing! I wish I knew this years ago.. You are so amazing, beautiful inside and out 💛🙏
Oh my gosh, thank you so much for this! For the last several years I’ve wanted my hairdressers to cut my hair like this and none of them ever would because it was “never in style.” I used to see a hairdresser for many years and he always would cut my hair in this style and it always looked amazing. He retired about 9 years ago, so I’ve gone that long without being able to have this cut. Going to try doing this myself now since no one ever will for me! Thank you! (Also, as a side note, I started cutting my husband’s hair at the beginning of the pandemic and I finally feel I’ve got some skills to the point that I’m confident enough trying to cut my own. Hopefully, it goes well! 🤞🏻)
This was so much more helpful than other tutorials I have seen. I impulsively gave myself a wolf cut in August and it worked out well with some tweaks but it's well grown out now and time for a change.
Hey Colleen! Did you do it with a ponytail technique? I have seen tons of wolf cuts done that way recently. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment!
@@GlamGirlGabi Yes. I used ponytails for both the back and front sections before I overextended the front to soften the front peices and then thinned out the thicker spots with thinning sheers. My hair is ultra thick and wavy so it took a little while to do.
The ponytail layer cut actually worked really well for me. So does work for some. I've always had waist length long super thick hair (never cut or layered till my late 20's) i actually liked the diy layered look and got a bunch of compliments. The only thing about it really was that it was difficult to do braids, esp french braid on my hair. But it worked for my face shape and everything.
You helped me so much ! I've had these overgrown layers for over a year, and I needed help! Your video Gabi, helped me have the confidence to give myself so well deservced style. So much love and light to you beautiful soul. Love and Light.
I have a short-long bob that had grown out and was looking really flat and awkward. This tutorial was perfect, I just followed the instructions and cut only the front section of my hair (which had grown out) and I got so much volume back! Thank you for explaining it so well! ❤
Excellent video. I’ve been cutting my own hair since I was about 18 (59 now). I got tired of hairstylists always cutting too much off. I have fine hair. I also colored it myself, blonde. I did go to a stylist years ago for color because I wanted red, brown and blonde streaks. I went to her for years because she only trimmed about 1/4 of an inch each time. She moved out of state in 2010. Devastating! I stopped coloring (LOVE my gray hair!) and since then I’ve had my hair professionally cut about 6 times, otherwise I do it myself. This video helped me with the front area. Going to try that pulling to one side. I have bangs and want the curve from the bang down to the sides, like in a ‘C’ shape. Thanks for the tutorial. It helps a lot.
Thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment! I am really happy that I was able to help you (especially with the front sections!) The key is to always go slow and cut off less then you think. You can always slowly add more later.
I tried it and my hair feels so much lighter. This is the best DIY I’ve found. A lot have the stylist with a mannequin and I just can’t follow that as well as DIY videos and this one was detailed and easy. Thank you so much 😊🎉
I’m SO SICK of getting horrible haircuts!!! Haven’t had it cut since April & just wore it up all Summer. Now it’s pretty bad, but it’s curly, so curl often hides a multitude of ills. I really need a cut but am afraid to go anywhere, (will YOU please cut it???) so I took the plunge!! Bought some stylist’s scissors & followed your directions to a tee. We’ll see…my hair is longer than yours & taking off length wasn’t addressed, so it is the same length but the layers are cleaned up. We’ll see what happens when I wash it again and style the curls as usual. Thanks for a GREAT tutorial!!! I’ve never done this, so it took forever just to section off that first front quadrant!😂🤣I know it’s not perfect, but it’s better than it was! Thanks again!!!
I've been using the unicorn pony tail for a long time and have been cutting my daughters hair this way too. I do the face framing layers as well and fringe bangs . It's actually not difficult, it's easy . I have alot of hair and by cutting it during a full moon , it grows very long every year . I usually cut it in a layer bob during the Fall.
Mee Too...... I will never trust a beauty shop They don't care....do what they want and get paid on top of it My hair is long and looks fabulous.....and I color it myself too.... I'm glad you do you and your daughters hair.... Good for you ! !
I am due for a hair cut and this video came just in time❤! I've cut my hair since 2017. I was sick of paying for the holes in the front that you mentioned in the video and having to wait months for them to grow back.
During covid out of boredom more than needing the cut I followed the pony tail method. Divide hair in the middle and cut the front towards face. It came out awesome and I have tons of volume with soft waves…then being the perfectionist I am given to details, started trying to even out the tips like how a hairdresser does at the end and messed up an entirely good thing. 😂 but it turned out pretty darn good! I showed to my mom and she wasn’t aware I had experimented. Lol! I think I’ll try it again. To keep, the back is the problem lots of hair and separating hair then evening out things. Maybe I should just clip the very ends and call it a day. Only the dry tip ends.
This was incredibly helpful! Thank you! I've been cutting my own hair for years and I didn't know about the angling of you fingers. Which makes complete sense. I've just brought my hair straight up, let a bit fall in the back and cut the rest straight across. I was about 12 when I learned how to cut my own hair. My brother's girlfriend at the time cut his hair and his friends hair. I watched and figured it out. But, I didn't notice the angling of the fingers. Now I understand how to change the depth of my layers. I am definitely giving this a try for my next cut. I think I'll try the angle up for a shag. I'm really looking forward to my next cut now. 😁💖🌺
So... if I pull it more towards nt face when I pull it up, that should give me longer layers? I pretty much already have built in long layers from the vid and losing my hair 3xs. It has finally gotten back to the thickness I am used to. However, that is only abot 4 or 5 inches from the scalp. It get thinner as it goes towards the ends. So I'm thinking to get it to look and feel healthier, some long layers may do the trick.
Gabi, you look gorgeous ❤The hairstylist I saw a few weeks ago needs some lessons from you. I have fine textured hair and she cut all these short layers (2") over my head. Then she said she had to cut off the back length of my hair to even off what she had done. The only long section left was my bangs and she styled them with a big round brush and it was all puffed out 😬 I am glad I am in Canada and I can pull up my parka hood and hide under it 🤣
Gabi, you are an inspiration and all your videos have been so helpful. I have not been happy with haircuts lately from my stylists so I have been using your video tutorials and have now cut my own hair and am loving the styles I'm achieving on my own. Thank you so much. You are so darling and fun to watch as well as being a brilliant stylists with great ideas. I don't know why there are not more hair stylists who know what you know in styling hair and I loved watching your hairstylist cut your hair and was so happy to hear your views of starting from the front instead of the back which I've always suggested to my stylists and they always refuse. Now I'm going to insist. thank you so much for all your wonderful videos.
Nothing like running your fingers through freshly cut hair! I have cut my own hair many times in my life, got better at it with time but made some big mistakes along the way. For example in high school, every other month, I would trim the ends of my long hair by dumping my hair upside down, brush thoroughly and lightly trimmed the ends parallel to the floor. Then I would stand up, brush my hair into place and trim the ends from side to back. It turned out pretty blunt in the front and uneven layers in the back. Not perfect…but I didn’t have split ends! Lol. Thankfully my wavy texture was very forgiving and disguised the mistakes well. Thanks for this tutorial! I am sticking with my hairdresser, Melody. She is such a great listener and so precise!
U got some Cindy Crawford vibes going on! I think you're so gorgeous! Your personality makes you even prettier! This was proly the best tutorial I've seen. I cut my own hair but never follow any directions lol.. I think I'll actually use your directions bc they're so easy.. I'm usually fixing small parts of my hair for a few says until I feel it's "almost" perfect lol EDIT: OMG I paused & wrote this b4 hearing u say u were going for 90s supermodel vibes.. u really are reminding me of C. CRAWFORD!
Girl, that is the BIGGEST COMPLIMENT EVER! I loooove Cindy Crawford! Can you tell? LOL. She is probably my biggest style icon. Very classic and not overdone. I am so happy that you enjoyed this tutorial and found it helpful. If you do it and post a pic, tag me on instagram @glamgirlgabi because I would love to see it!
@@GlamGirlGabi Aww, yay! She is stunning, she doesn't seem to age either! I'll def try it next time I cut! I just cut about 1.5 weeks ago but I can tell using ur technique will make it look alot better. I'll actually start wearing it down lmao
Great tutorial! If only I could do that to myself, my hair is long, thin and fine and I’m terrified of most hairstylists, I’ve tried so many…I usually look worse after they are done than before they don’t seem to know how to deal with hair as fine as mine once they wet it they can’t find the layers and just cut it straight across like a kid with scissors. Yours is beautiful ❤
I am so sorry that you had such a tough experience getting your hair cut in the past. Have you ever considered cutting your hair shorter and closer to my length? The shorter and more blunt you cut your hair, the thicker it looks.
@@GlamGirlGabi thanks Gabi I think of it but I don’t think I have a pretty/perfect enough face for it, I had short hair for a couple of years like 15 years ago every time I see a pic from then I notice some uneven features, people looked at me so much harder in the face, with long hair people mostly just notice my hair (for better or worse ha ha)
I love that cut, the length it’s perfect, I cut my own hair but I’m always sketch and while I do get compliments I know it’s not perfect and badly cut.
My husband has a Barber license and went to cosmetology school. He’s a great barber but is not really comfortable cutting longer ladies hair. I hope I can get him to learn this!
Oh my gosh Gabi those videos stress me out you have no idea. I watch with one eye open cringing as they cut the ponytail in a sweat. I feel like I need a glass of wine afterwards lol. I wish I could be like that but I’m too type A personality I’m definitely not a risk taker. These type of hair tutorials I definitely appreciate. 😊
I am the same way. I am too controlling. I went through this precision haircut three times LOL. Twice wet and once dry....The thought of my just grabbing a ponytail and cutting...HELLLLLSSSS NOOOO
Although a little nervous about cutting .y iwn hair, this was very helpful just when I needed a haircut. Yours was perfection and it looks so sophisticated.
Omg thank you so much. I recently blunt cut my hair and it really needs some shape. My hair density is very similar to yours, I can’t wait to try this tonight, this is the exact cut I was wanting!
We used to do the ponytail cut back in the day, but it was a bend over kind of thing, and you could control whether the front was longer or shorter by moving the rubber band back and forth. I called it the "self inflicted shag" as my hair was fairly short. Lately I have done it with my husband's automatic trimmer and it's a lot easier, since my hair is really long now. It works OK in a pinch but I end up with too much distance between the layers for my taste. I am going to watch this a few times and maybe try it. Would love to hear how it works for people!
I've been binging on you since I found you 2 days ago. Tonight, I had my hair parted in the front. Brushed out. But the length in front can't go any shorter and still be pulled back. I could cut the sides, but I chickened out. I've cut my own hair for decades I. Between finding a good stylist. But for the next 1.5 yrs I'm letting it grow longer. I don't want the sides shorter than the rest but I do need face framing
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I’ve been cutting my own hair for years and this is the first I’ve seen for low density hair. My hair has thinned out so much over the last few years and it’s great to finally have one out there for that! I’ve tried just about every diy haircut on UA-cam and none of them really turned out how I would’ve liked them to. Would this also translate well for wavy/curly textures?
I thought it was just me who had recession at the temples! Nice to know I'm normal after all. I have very similar thick hair, so I'm going to try this. Thank you.
love your vibe and you're gorgeous. This video was well explained, thank you. I am in the process of fixing a botched haircut I unfortunately paid for.
Can you do a whole box dye video for men? Garnier, Clairol, L'oreal vs Men brands (Just for Men etc), Which reflect of color fits men better (Ash vs Neutral vs Golden)? How to dye very short hair and root touch up? Thanks!
I don’t think I angled my fingers right, and definitely cut the back and the sides of my hair with more layers than it’s supposed to be 😅 (but I wouldn’t mind) And it looks so amazing with my natural wavy hair (even without much styling)! I love it, thank you so much for this tutorial.
Great Vid! Could you do one with someone who has very long hair. Most of the pony tail vids I have seen are very long hair almost to the waist, some actually are, not mid length or shoulder.
I got medium layers cut into my hair & I really like them. Not sure whether prefer the longer curtain bangs (currently trying) or medium face framing layers. Been washing my hair less frequently & using velcro rollers for a bit of volume
Your channel was mentioned by Penn.Smith.Skincare and I've been loving most of your content! I'm looking forward to seeing future videos - Merry Christmas to you & your family!!
Perfect timing because I am gearing up to cut layers in my hair for the first time 😁 I really appreciate your tutorial ❤ I had an amazing stylist but he has retired. So detail oriented and did an amazing job. I miss him. I’d like to cut my hair close to how he cut it. I wish I could send you some pictures in case I need to modify the cut to be a little closer to what I used to have. Is that possible? to get your feedback I just had one question. The pie shape in the back rear crown is a pizza slice with the point going down correct?
it really looks great ! I'm wanting to get a cut that is similar. My hair is fine texture, but I have a lot of it & it's super curly & frizzy so it's a lot of work... but you've inspired me !!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! But, I’m a little confused - in this video, you angle your fingers downward in your first cut at the top of the head so that your top layer is longer than the hair underneath BUT, in your other video of a beautiful woman with thin grey hair (“Women Over 50”) you angle your fingers up to the ceiling. Can you please tell me which angling technique works best to create layers for fine hair? Would appreciate it so much since you’re the best! Thank you so much!!!
No love, it's not neurotic- it's called perfectionist. And in my book, that's a great thing! Plus, I'm a Virgo😂...I think I don't have to explain any further 😉 I was becoming more and more desperate because I cannot decide which hairdresser to choose and I almost did that "butterfly cut" on myself, although it didn't have much sense...but, as the saying goes: desperate times call for desperate measures. Or something like that🙄😁 Anyways, I'm more that happy and forever grateful for this video!!! I'm going to my mum's tomorrow for lunch and I'll ask her to help me. Definitely there are far less possibilities for it to go wrong than trying that infamous "butterfly butchering". Thank you, not just for this video, but for every single one. Beside being a real professional, you are an amazing, beautiful inside and out woman. I'm so thankful for finding your channel about a year, or a bit longer, ago. I could write an essay praising you, but I hope you know how wonderful and helpful you are. I've watched, I think it was the last one, your video where you talked about your grandparents. I was crying as crazy because it was so relatable. And everything else that you've stated in regards to being a content creator...damn, I always knew it was a tough job, but moreover, everything you've said showed what kind of a person you are: honest, real, kind, lovely...as I've said, I could write an essay. Well, I've already done it 😅 I wish you all the best- lots of love, health and tranquillity and I'm sending you the biggest hug! Love from Croatia 💙
Oh lala beautiful girl..🤩 I put my hand up with the pony tail cut.. sometimes there's just not enough $$$ to go around with the life responsibilities 😢 I know for me personally it's a great cut when I style my hair at home and I love it 💜 I've used a few choice words when I can't..lol 😱 Thank you ..great session. Stay well 💜🙏🇦🇺
Ooooh yes this is an extreme volume blowout. I filmed this after cutting my hair but I’m in the process of editing it still. Stay tuned for that. It should be posted shortly.
It’s looks wonderful, your face and hairstyle reminds me Eva Longoria. I would need a second person to do my hair, as I have lots of thick hair… even when my son helps me colour my hair gets all crazy messy trying to part it in sections to apply the colour to my roots.
This is a great cut technique, but I get all caught up in the back trying to make sure my finger angles are the same on each section. It’s so hard to remember exactly how angled my fingers were on previous cut. I always make things harder than they need to be. 😂
I know how you feel. When you don't have the experience of doing it a lot, it can be really confusing. The key is mainly to follow the guide. Take sections that are small enough that you can see the guide through. That is the easiest way to make sure that every section is exactly the same. Practise makes perfect too. You just have to practise and you will get better and better each time.
@@abunchahooey Yes I did that too when I was a beginner. Be careful that you have the angle you want when you make your guide and then just use that for everything else. As soon as you have your guide, the rest is easy because it's just dragging that guide around the head (by taking half of it as you move around) and cutting to match that line. If you can't see your guide, it is because your section is too thick. Slow and steady wins the race :)
I tape a piece of paper in the proper angle on the wall opposite the mirror. I’ve been cutting my own hair for almost twenty years and I’m not a professional by any means. The paper trick I’ve used for years because my astigmatism makes me see really wonky if I look too far into my periphery. 😂 I’ve used a few pieces of colored construction paper for this when I’ve cut my hair super short. My DH has suggested painter’s tape but I’m used to the paper. If you have good eyesight, a Sharpie marker line on a mirror can do the same thing. Rubbing alcohol takes Sharpie right off the glass.
Thank you. Can You please write what kind of iron did you use ? It doesn’t look to big and looks like it does a quick , right job with your hair 👍👏thank you
Hey Gabi, I've always loved this style and your technique seems simple enough to follow. I just want to know, what are your thoughts on thinning scissors? I'm not sure if that's the technical term or not...🤔 ❤️
Give it a shot and if you get stuck, leave a comment and I can try to help the best that I can! I appreciate you taking the time to leave me some feedback.
I would love it if you could do a side part face framing layer tutorial. Your hair may be too short right now but if you could grow it out and do be it would help me so much. When I try to do the middle tutorial it gives me a lot of heavy layers on one side and almost none on the other and when you say cut it to the side part I have no idea what that means without instruction. I can’t find a single video on doing this with a side part so Um sure it would be hit as many of us can’t part our hair in the middle because of an asymmetrical faces or cowlicks so we have no choice. Thanks for considering this!
I want to try the blunt bob you talked about previously. I have lost a lot of hair and now a lot is growing back so I have flyaways everywhere! (Advice appreciated!) I’ve just been letting it grow. I can tell at the bottom, it’s super thin and unbalanced. I had the idea to just blunt cut to the point where it looks thicker. That would put it more shoulder length. Do you have any tips on how to cut that myself? 😅 Thanks for another amazing video! I always look forward to new videos from you!! ❤🥰🤗😍
Look up a video for “dusting” & dust the hair. Mine is really thick & not a stylist was ever able to figure it out, they were lazy and would hack through it with razors, thinning shears, other short cuts tools that shattered & frizzed out my thick, curly wavy frizzy hair. I do it myself now & takes a long time because I get the shape first , then go in & add texture by kind of point cutting it/thinning areas (super thick massive hair!) & then dust flyaways. Work very slowly over the course of days. Don’t be afraid to follow your intuition around your face shape & texture. you don’t have to measure everything and make it perfect. If you have a lot of hair, it’s a lot more forgiving of a process. Mine is asymmetrical in areas & I know if a stylist saw it they’d insist on chopping it into their one-size-fits-all template & I have to go home and fix their mistake! I hope this helps. I feel your pain.
Dear Gabbie Thank you for helping all of God's fine hair fillies! Question: Have you ever tried Ion's Brown shampoo & conditioner? I am trying to cover fine gray hairs, with as little damge as possible. F
This is 1,000% the exact hair cut I want and need. I don't have near the skill to DIY it, but may email my stylist this video, is that wrong? Following you now, here and on IG.
So much love for you , thank you beautiful soul 💛 Wish you showed us the end result for little longer, to my taste was not long enough to appreciate your amazing haircut. I want to show it to my hairdresser. Is the cut of the hair ends at the back of your hair (to remove heaviness)appropriate for fine hair? What I mean us about the point cutting to remove density, is it appropriate for fine hair? Blessings 🙌 beautiful sister
I don't know if this could help, but you can slow the video speed down as low as to 25%, and then if you're on your phone take a screen shot or two or three. If you're on a computer you can use "snip" and cut around the portion of the screen you want to save and then send it to your email to show stylist on your phone.
I have tried those unicorn cuts on the mannequins and I never liked how they looked. Look how long your hair has gotten it looks fabulous. Doesn't even look thin at all. Great tutorial. What would we do without over direction LOL
What would we do without over direction is CORRECT! LOL. It saves every thin girl hair's sides! LOL. My hair is getting long and it is so exciting. I don'y know how much longer I will grow it because as it gets longer, it also gets hideous and thin but we will see. My hair is in much better shape then it was a couple of years ago.
Maybe Gabi will reply to you but meanwhile she did a video on the fact that she got hair transplant so maybe find that video. Also she has one step by step on the very blunt cut her own stylist gives her to maximize fullness which is a great video to show your stylist.
If they were really great senior stylists, they were not really that great. I find the majority of hair stylists are not that great. They watch too much social media and think they are worth their crazy prices. They are not.
@@tconcotelli You mean you have never had a stylist be a neurotic psychopath? LOL. I joke about that with my clients all the time. I practically following them to their car with a comb. They don't care....do what they want and get paid on top of it
My hair is long and looks fabulous.....and I color it myself too....
I'm glad you do you and your daughters hair....
Good for you ! !
This is a best tutorial on fine hair. I have some hairdressing background. Thank you so much! All the details about framing the face are priceless
I am due for a hair cut and this video came just in time❤! I've cut my hair since 2017. I was sick of paying for the holes in the front that you mentioned in the video and having to wait months for them to grow back.
Can you give links to pics of 'holes' because I can't imagine a hairdresser deliberately doing that. Or the name of a website with holey pics.
The result was perfection. You look amazing with that haircut.
Plus, your lip color was awesome!
Thank you so much 🙂 I just bought this lip color! I almost never wear such a nude lip but I am really loving it.
@@GlamGirlGabi what is the shade and brand if you don’t mind sharing? I was noticing how fabulous it was too! 💄
Gabi, you look gorgeous ❤The hairstylist I saw a few weeks ago needs some lessons from you. I have fine textured hair and she cut all these short layers (2") over my head. Then she said she had to cut off the back length of my hair to even off what she had done. The only long section left was my bangs and she styled them with a big round brush and it was all puffed out 😬 I am glad I am in Canada and I can pull up my parka hood and hide under it 🤣
This is why I don't go to hairdressers any more. 😆
😏😃😁This gives me the feels! Hope your hair grows fast over winter!!
I'm usually fixing small parts of my hair for a few says until I feel it's "almost" perfect lol
EDIT: OMG I paused & wrote this b4 hearing u say u were going for 90s supermodel vibes.. u really are reminding me of C.
@@carriethompson84 Yes the key is to have hair that you love so much that you want to wear down!
My hair is the same. I don't know what I should do with it. Setting it in curls can damage it over time for work
I love that cut, the length it’s perfect, I cut my own hair but I’m always sketch and while I do get compliments I know it’s not perfect and badly cut.
My husband has a Barber license and went to cosmetology school. He’s a great barber but is not really comfortable cutting longer ladies hair. I hope I can get him to learn this!
Thank you for sharing your technique. I rarely attempt cutting my own hair but face framing layering is useful !
This is an excellent tutorial. I'm going to try this in a couple of weeks. Thank you Gabi!!!! ♥
You are so beautiful in your own style! Simply love your style. Stay blessed sis!
Update: the haircut looks great! Exactly what I needed!
Gabi I did it! It’s perfect!!! Thank you!!
My hair is a little bit longer so a little more challenging pulling those sections up, but still managed ;)
Update: 6 months later I used this same tutorial and achieved perfect results again. My go-to!
This absolutely made me smile today! I love your tutorials!
I'm so glad! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment.
Does this look nice on a 62 year old? Could you do a video on hair for older woman with fine hair? Love, love your channel. Just found you recently!
Best layering I've done on myself. Thanks for the tutorial!
This was great. You have the best personality for this type of video teaching. Thanks!
This video should be watched by millions! Including professional hairdressers
Thanks!
I did it and it looks great, might be the best ever! Thank you!!
I absolutely LOVE this haircut! Thank you for showing us how to DIY it
I don’t think I angled my fingers right, and definitely cut the back and the sides of my hair with more layers than it’s supposed to be 😅 (but I wouldn’t mind) And it looks so amazing with my natural wavy hair (even without much styling)! I love it, thank you so much for this tutorial.
What is the color in your hair? I love it!
Great Vid! Could you do one with someone who has very long hair. Most of the pony tail vids I have seen are very long hair almost to the waist, some actually are, not mid length or shoulder.
I do the ponytail cut and if done properly, it works!!
I got medium layers cut into my hair & I really like them. Not sure whether prefer the longer curtain bangs (currently trying) or medium face framing layers. Been washing my hair less frequently & using velcro rollers for a bit of volume
Thank you so much. Your cut looks beautiful. I was wondering what type of flat iron you were using?
Tell you what, you are truly amazing in your work, keep it up.
My career was hair cutting...
Perfect haircut...love❤
Your channel was mentioned by Penn.Smith.Skincare and I've been loving most of your content! I'm looking forward to seeing future videos - Merry Christmas to you & your family!!
Perfect timing because I am gearing up to cut layers in my hair for the first time 😁 I really appreciate your tutorial ❤
I had an amazing stylist but he has retired. So detail oriented and did an amazing job. I miss him.
I’d like to cut my hair close to how he cut it. I wish I could send you some pictures in case I need to modify the cut to be a little closer to what I used to have. Is that possible? to get your feedback
I just had one question. The pie shape in the back rear crown is a pizza slice with the point going down correct?
it really looks great ! I'm wanting to get a cut that is similar. My hair is fine texture, but I have a lot of it & it's super curly & frizzy so it's a lot of work... but you've inspired me !!
Gosh, you're gorgeous. I'm not brave enough to do that to my own hair, but glad some folks are!
Plus, I'm a Virgo😂...I think I don't have to explain any further 😉
I was becoming more and more desperate because I cannot decide which hairdresser to choose and I almost did that "butterfly cut" on myself, although it didn't have much sense...but, as the saying goes: desperate times call for desperate measures. Or something like that🙄😁
Anyways, I'm more that happy and forever grateful for this video!!!
Well, I've already done it 😅
I wish you all the best- lots of love, health and tranquillity and I'm sending you the biggest hug!
Love from Croatia 💙
I had that cut in 1998. Love it. It’s so good
It's a great cut! It's so pretty and also incredibly low maintenance.
Oh lala beautiful girl..🤩
I put my hand up with the pony tail cut.. sometimes there's just not enough $$$ to go around with the life responsibilities 😢
I know for me personally it's a great cut when I style my hair at home and I love it 💜
I've used a few choice words when I can't..lol 😱
Thank you ..great session.
Stay well 💜🙏🇦🇺
Great video. How did you get your hair full and bouncy after straightening it? Did you wet it and blow it again or use rollers?
Youd be a really good instructor in a beauty school if you already arent. You explain stuff really good
Hello, I love your hairstyle! Do you have a video to blowdry this style?
Ooooh yes this is an extreme volume blowout. I filmed this after cutting my hair but I’m in the process of editing it still. Stay tuned for that. It should be posted shortly.
YES!
It’s looks wonderful, your face and hairstyle reminds me Eva Longoria.
I would need a second person to do my hair, as I have lots of thick hair… even when my son helps me colour my hair gets all crazy messy trying to part it in sections to apply the colour to my roots.
That cut looks so good on you. Thanks for the DIY
Anytime Patty! Thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment. It means a lot to me and really helps my channel grow.
@@GlamGirlGabi Good point about the guide. See, I get all caught up in finger angles and forget there is a guide! 😂 Thank you.
@@GlamGirlGabi Useful advice! I watch a lot of hair cutting videos, and nobody has made your point clear to us amateurs.
Appreciate your replies. 🙂
It doesn’t look to big and looks like it does a quick , right job with your hair 👍👏thank you
Great tutorial thank you 🙏
I enjoy cutting my hair. I will try this
Hey Gabi, I've always loved this style and your technique seems simple enough to follow. I just want to know, what are your thoughts on thinning scissors? I'm not sure if that's the technical term or not...🤔 ❤️
Love it! What product do you use for volume? I’ve had no luck… I find they all make my hair sticky
Very helpful tutorial. Thanks for sharing this much needed information and tips for us do it yourselfers
I am going to try this tonight! Thank you for being so thorough!
Thanks for sharing. Loved ur tutorial 💓 I also cut my hair in the same way and what a transformation 👏 👌
Are you loving it? I’m so happy that you found this tutorial to be helpful. That makes me really happy.
It looks gorgeous!! YOU look gorgeous! Such a great technic, and your step by step guidance seems doable...I think 😬
I'll see what I can do, but in the meantime maybe check out Styles By Summer. She's a cutting expert! www.youtube.com/@stylesbysummer
I would never, ever try this, but you make it look easy :)
I love this cut & thank you so much for all the details re: cutting in the tutorial!
What a great video! 💇♀️ I predict a million views on this one! ❤
Your hair is pretty!💖💖💖
Absolutely beautiful!☺️
I want to try the blunt bob you talked about previously. I have lost a lot of hair and now a lot is growing back so I have flyaways everywhere! (Advice appreciated!) I’ve just been letting it grow. I can tell at the bottom, it’s super thin and unbalanced. I had the idea to just blunt cut to the point where it looks thicker. That would put it more shoulder length. Do you have any tips on how to cut that myself? 😅 Thanks for another amazing video! I always look forward to new videos from you!! ❤🥰🤗😍
Brittnee Alexis has videos on how to do this
@@TheFitTherapist thanks!
@@mulliganstew72 thank you! I’ll check that out!! ❤️

So much love for you , thank you beautiful soul 💛
Wish you showed us the end result for little longer, to my taste was not long enough to appreciate your amazing haircut.
Great video! Random question: which lipstick are you wearing? :)
Great! Thanks! Tell me, please, how did you get over the thinning period and hair loss. What products did you use?
Maybe Gabi will reply to you but meanwhile she did a video on the fact that she got hair transplant so maybe find that video. Also she has one step by step on the very blunt cut her own stylist gives her to maximize fullness which is a great video to show your stylist.

If they were really great senior stylists, they were not really that great. I find the majority of hair stylists are not that great. They watch too much social media and think they are worth their crazy prices. They are not.
Tell me how you really feel… 😂 😂 Just kidding. I feel your pain too.
Most are lazy…I’ve never had a stylist that attended to details like Gabi.
@@tconcotelli You mean you have never had a stylist be a neurotic psychopath? LOL. I joke about that with my clients all the time. I practically following them to their car with a comb.
