I have a 2023 Paradym and a 2024 AI smoke driver, mine are both custom built clubs from Callaway . Both are + 2 inches on shaft, the stronger COG, oversized Winn dritec grips with + 6 on the wraps. Both clubs are awesome. My club head speed is 148 and I drive them both about the same yardage around 300 yards average. I’m a 3.4 handicap at 54 years old . Honestly both are great but right now you can save $200 on the 2023 Paradym driver and $100 in the fairway woods for that price you cant give wrong with the 2023 Paradym . Like the video shows I’m only hitting the AI Smoke less than 5 yards further. For the $200 dollar price difference I would just buy the 2023 Paradym your not going to see much difference to justify paying $200 dollars more. Also if you order off callaways website you get to choose your shaft, shaft length either shorter or longer than store bought, your COG, and your grip. With a custom built club and different grip you will not believe how much better you hit and control the ball. Just my opinion on these two great clubs

Club repair tech here. Looking at the part of the video where you are talking about the driver at the 6:33 mark or so you have the shaft adaptor on the head the incorrect way. The small white hash lines need to like up between the shaft and the head for the numbers on the cogs to make any real world sense. No telling what the head is set to unless those marks are lined up. The cogs rotate independently so you can set them to any combination you like between them. Love your channel, and videos!
Would be great to see a review of the new Paradym vs something like the Rogue ST Max. Probably more likely to be interested in changing a club that's a few years old to changing last year's model. 😊
Golf club manufacturers are VERY good at telling us about all of these crazy advancements, but realistically they're so minimal. The only thing AI is doing is gaslighting everyone into thinking this years line up is even needed.
it's absolutely 99% fluff. there are only so many places you can relocate mass to on a club head. And of all those places, only a few of them are beneficial and legal.
Sure thats marketing 🤷♂️ but in 5-8 years there will absolutely be some improvements, not 70yards and zero dispursion but maybe 15 yards and some firgiveness
The Paradym is already one of the best drivers ever made, so the fact that the AI Smoke is even slightly better is a great achievement. Not worth upgrading to if you already have last year's model, but a very tempting option if you don't.
I've got an AI Smoke Max on the way after my fitting two days ago. A little secret I'll share for a fellow Seahawks fan is that that you can get an absolutely GREAT shaft at no upcharge if you custom order. The Mitsubishi Vanquish driver shaft is available with the Max head (and only that one I think.)
I just got fitted for, and bought one today. Compared to my old driver (a 2019 TM M2) on the Trackman , with 15 shots each, the Smoke was, on average, 16 yards longer and had 10 yd narrower dispersion. Fingers crossed that this carries over to the real world once they build it for me.
I will certainly never tell another person how or what to spend their money on. All I can say is I hit the AI Smoke Max, Taylormade Q10 and Ping G430. I currently have a G425 Max 10.5 loft, after 100’s of shots, I came to the conclusion I love the AI smoke. It had a heavier shaft that any of the other clubs but my typical swing speed is around 98mph with 143-145 ball speed. This is what I was seeing with the TM and both Pings. The AI smoke gave me 151-154 mph ball speed and club head speeds of 102-105. I carried the Calloway 240 -250 with 260-275 total distance. Accuracy was good as well. Needless to say, it came home with me. I absolutely love the driver.
I just got a krank formula fire and i have been thrilled with it, if i had any complaints it would be that the head is pretty heavy but just the feel and distance I've been seeing absolutely blows all the other drivers I've hit out of the water.
I'm not a fan of the blue in the paradym. Not 100% sold on the underside of the smoke but prefer over last year's model. Love the top of it though. Shame about the font party... Top video and production as usual Pete and team. Yours is the first new driver vid I've watched and the others have a high bar to beat!
Paradym driver and 5 wood are 2 of my best club purchases ever. I love the look, feel, sound, and performance. The ONLY reason I would upgrade is because of my 2019 Apex Smoke irons. To have a full bag of smokes would just be too cool!
Just watched a few of the same reviews from other creators - you guys are doing a stellar job! The only problem is that I'm already subscribed to your channel 😁 Keep up the great work!
I had a driver fitting today. I was looking for the ping 10k max or Qi10, but the Callaway suited me the best. I was really amased how good the driver worked. So get fitted and take the best one for you
As someone who really liked the looks of 2023 Paradym (and ended up getting the LS version)... this year's models aren't doing it for me in the looks department at all.
Whoever approved the smokey design must have been smoking something themselves. Also naming something AI is just bottom of the barrel creativity - seriously you don't have to shove AI in everything. Great the tech sounds good now that it's more forgiving, but you didn't need AI to tell you that people want more forgiveness or how to get there. They need to stop releasing golf clubs like they were apple iphones, one every year, the incremental changes are so small it's pointless. Disappointing Callaway.
I think the Rogue ST Max is the best looking of the last few years. Its a shame they all feel the need to make their drivers look so flashy so we can tell that the pros are using it on tv.
@@azt129 could not disagree more. 'you didn't need AI to tell you how to get more forgiveness' thats literally the point of AI calculations! I just got the ping g430 max driver .. I tested them all (paradym, stealth 2 etc etc) and ping was the best option for me.. I love it … I just wasn’t hitting the others as well .. love the design of the smokes tho 🤘🏻
I love you are comparing the previous gen. Thank you for the vid. I will consider buying it when they launch something next year. Then I can get it at a reasonable price.
I love my Paradym. Used to play the tsi3 but on my bad days it didnt help me keep it in play. no drivers magic, but the paradym for me feels about as close to automatic as i can get with the big stick. Love to see more improvement, Callaways doing some really cool stuff right now, hope some other manufacturers can follow suit.
Also, Peter I think you should do a driver test using your 'optimum recoil backlash swing'.... It gives a truer reflection of the approach of many amateurs!
It's really important to test before buying! I really wanted a Paradime, but after extensive testing Ping430 ended up being the best for me in the long run! A lot of adjustability thar i can implement when i get better at striking🤔
Agree. Tested the Paradym last year and even though it was the smoothest and softest feeling driver I’ve ever swung, the results just were not there. I currently use a Mizuno JPX 900 driver and even though it sounds awfully clunky and loud and don’t have the distance I would like, I am extremely accurate with it. Keeping the ball in the fairway with a 250 yard drive, especially as I get older, is just a little more of an important factor than the ability to crush a drive 300 yards wide right or left into the trees.
Excellent video. Really liked the summary at the end of your personal viewpoint. Smoke was tighter dispersion etc. for 2 extra yards I will keep the older model. Great review.
Excellent review, i have just got the Paradigm X and 1st round took 9 shots off my previous best score. Mainly due to being more accurate with the driver! Anyone out there looking to upgrade, i would really recommend getting a fitting and getting the 2023 Paradigm while they are discounted, because although the smoke might get tou a few more yards the cost saving i feel makes the Paradigm a much better deal.
when you are buying a top end driver (Callaway, Titleist, Taylormade et al), the real difference maker.....based on launch monitor results is finding the right shaft as the club heads are all well made but its the right shaft that will drive the big dif in terms of spin and launch.
Hey Pete, take one or two of the guys in your team, higher handicappers (thus playing more like me...😅) and also run a structured review. Yours will be what the driver can actually deliver, but your guy's review will really show if it truly brings more forgiveness for higher handicap golfers... I would love to see a review like that!
I have a 2016 M1 that, with a modern shaft, still hits as good as anything available. Having a club thats built for you is more important than having the latest and greatest. I have a "new" G425 and its no better on average than my older M1 driver.
I can always count on Finchy for a good laugh and a very well produced video. However, the one thing I appreciate the most about Pete, he is honest. I love the colorway of the Paradym and how great it feels. For the price, I will keep the oldy but goody!
It would be easy to just roll out a lazy ‘which is longer’ head to head but congratulations to Pete and team as this is an excellent data and information driven video. Keep up the good work.
Iv just got rid of a stealth 2 and got a ai smoke max and the difference in my drives is unreal , same distance but straight as an arrow , can’t rate them enough ⛳️
I tried the new smoke max today and the ping 430. I really liked the ping lst I think it was (the straight one) but the data said take the callaway. So bought it this afternoon
Pete I already have last years Paradym so I wasn’t really interested in the club review. I just watched so I could hear your beautiful voice and see your handsome face with that infectious smile.
Pete, Man, I always enjoy your videos. Funny thing, on my second viewing of this one I noticed you spelled AeroJet wrong on the screen at about 2:12. Great video, I have a Paradym and I like it. I'll be giving the AI smoke a test drive.
I like Callaway’s adjustment because you don’t have to regrip the shaft if you want to play around…yes I understand you get fitted for what is best for you…I am just say if you want to play around…
They should have called it the "No Ego" driver. It's perfect. Instead of them claiming the usual "more yards with this new driver" BS, they bring out something designed to work with the way you're actually going to hit it. Genius.
I own the Paradym with the slider. I have to say it totally changed my game. I don't think about my drives anymore. It allowed me to focus on my iron play. When I'm on the course I rave about the club and if players are interested I let them try my Paradym driver.
really like how this driver looks, both the carbon and the smokey underside. Impressed with the new face considering they ditched jailbreak after so long
I need a new driver this year, I’m most interested in a consistent and reliable strike. Speed is less of a concern because the harder I swing the less control I have. Will be testing this new driver soon I hope
New Paradym looks better, hard to justify an upgrade from last year but maybe if you have an older driver. I’m currently using the Rogue and will wait and see after all new driver reviews are released. Great review as always Peter
Rogue is a fantastic club and honestly from everything I've seen appears to still offer more forgiveness than the paradigm or even this new AI version. Might be slightly less in distance, but I think for most golfers the forgiveness on strikes is most important.
Hit it today, agree with the feel. Paradym from last year was better in this department. I liked it better than the AI. Several callaway staffers are still gaming the original from last year. AI is a good driver, but not worth upgrade from the original triple diamond.
peter fantastic review i wont be buying the smoke this year , too expensive for me, however you were very concise yet indepth with your review and totally unbiased as with all your reviews. at the moment i am watching everything you do its great entertainment and informative thanks .Rob long time subscriber.
I've been thinking about this "smoke" name and i think i've figured out where it came from --- somehow, the engineers digitized marijuana INTO the AI and its systems. This has resulted in a secret hidden feature of the club -- when you strike the ball, a whiff of marijuana can be detected by anyone on the tee box within 10' of you. The higher your clubspeed, the larger the effective radius.
Hey Peter, first off I'm a big fan. I enjoy the content I'm not sure if you are aware but the is an aftermarket adapter available that adjusts to -2. It's on ebay.
Hi Peter I am using the Paradym X Driver and it is fantastic as like you share it feels soft and responsive of the face. Now the issue I have is that I also bought the paradym X hybrid from new. I have noticed that after a few months of use the face does not feel as responsive as when it was when new? Have you had any feedback about this? Many thanks Rob
15 HCPer & I find the Smoke more accurate/consistent & further distance than my original Paradigm - the shaft seems better to with the new Tensei AV vs what I had - more stable, solid & consistent everywhere off face
So crazy with the price increase thing as year goes as well. With money you could afford a full 4-p iron set back in the day, you can only buy a driver with these so called state-of-the-art technology. Well.
Every review I seen last year raved about the paradym. I hit a buddies triple diamond and gotta say. It just felt dead. It performed great, just didn’t give you that pop feel off the face. And that was his thoughts as well. Wonder if it is still the same.
At address, it looks like the Callaway erc fusion driver from about 20 odd years ago... hopefully, it doesn't mark up as easily as the blue finish did. You can get callaway red dot and a green dot adapters that offer different adjustability than the standard adapter, including minus 2° and flat lie angle.
At least with Callaway you don’t need to regrip your club when you adjust the shaft. Fitters talk about puring shafts and most other drivers you rotate the shaft when adjusting head.
Thats because as yet no golf manufacturer has stepped forward to say which way round a shaft works best , basically pured but in what way ? , its a minefield that i dont think anyone wants to be the first across . Either because of the mechanics or the added build costs or maybe its just to individual . No argument shafts ( especially graphite) perform different in different orientations but what suits who , when or where on what day ? If i was making drivers to sell to people who already had perfectly good drivers is that a corner id want to fight ? Or would i stay in the distance forgiveness for everyman corner ? Or just newer shinier 😊 newer shinier works , doesnt it ?
I still have my Paradym X. I would love to get the Smoke just for the cool factor, but I’m still striping it down the center of the fairway as a 20 handicap. Kinda hard to justify $600 for just an extra 2 yards of carry. Companies have to sell product, or they’ll go out of business. Of course they’re gonna try to make it sound as good as possible.
Thank you for being release Smoke, just bought an ex demo Paradym for way less than half its original price, got to love new club release time.

Great review. It's been a tough 3 weeks without any PF content. I've been watching some weird and wonderful things. Glad to have you guys back.
Glad to hear it!
Best golf equipment reviews on UA-cam! Keep up the great work Pete and team.
Thanks 👍
Iv just got rid of a stealth 2 and got a ai smoke max and the difference in my drives is unreal , same distance but straight as an arrow , can’t rate them enough ⛳️
I tried the new smoke max today and the ping 430. I really liked the ping lst I think it was (the straight one) but the data said take the callaway. So bought it this afternoon
I'm glad someone else finds the words being all different fonts off putting!! At least it is only on the bottom
Happy New Year and thanks for the honest, straightforward feedback Rick, better than other channels (RS)
Love the dispersion graph, top work as always from all of the team👏🏻
Pete I already have last years Paradym so I wasn’t really interested in the club review. I just watched so I could hear your beautiful voice and see your handsome face with that infectious smile.
You can get a reverse sleeve to adjust it 1 up and 2 down and also a flat setting! A good fitter should tell you that!
Can't wait to try one of these out. I know someone who hits some out of the heel once in a while.
You can order it with strong adapter so you can get 8 degree head and knock it down 2 degrees and play it at 6 degrees. That's how I play it.
Pete, Man, I always enjoy your videos. Funny thing, on my second viewing of this one I noticed you spelled AeroJet wrong on the screen at about 2:12. Great video, I have a Paradym and I like it. I'll be giving the AI smoke a test drive.
Great review on a driver that’s out of my budget. In my bag I’ve got Taylormade M4 and it’s wonderful club.
Love your reviews. The AI smoked loocks insane
Fantastic review! Loved this video, can’t wait for all the reviews coming out this year!
Just saying great job on the review. Honest and true!
really like how this driver looks, both the carbon and the smokey underside. Impressed with the new face considering they ditched jailbreak after so long
I need a new driver this year, I’m most interested in a consistent and reliable strike. Speed is less of a concern because the harder I swing the less control I have. Will be testing this new driver soon I hope
Love that you compared it with last years version!
An actual improvement and not just telling us it is. Cool
New Paradym looks better, hard to justify an upgrade from last year but maybe if you have an older driver. I’m currently using the Rogue and will wait and see after all new driver reviews are released. Great review as always Peter
Rogue is still a great club
Rogue is a fantastic club and honestly from everything I've seen appears to still offer more forgiveness than the paradigm or even this new AI version. Might be slightly less in distance, but I think for most golfers the forgiveness on strikes is most important.
I can't believe you're not at a million subs yet, but I'm sure you'll get there by the end of this year 👍🏽💯🥳 Great video!
Hit it today, agree with the feel. Paradym from last year was better in this department. I liked it better than the AI. Several callaway staffers are still gaming the original from last year. AI is a good driver, but not worth upgrade from the original triple diamond.
Excellent video Pete and ur technical team.
Nice to see such a solid review and comparison. Great stuff as always.
Perfomance. Ha. Forgot the 2nd R @ 10:16 in. Ha. Really enjoy your videos man. Keep up the good work.
What a video. Just the best in the biz peter!
peter fantastic review i wont be buying the smoke this year , too expensive for me, however you were very concise yet indepth with your review and totally unbiased as with all your reviews. at the moment i am watching everything you do its great entertainment and informative thanks .Rob long time subscriber.
Getting to the market first definitely helps them get in front of sales too.
Seamless Segway to reminding viewers to subscribe. No one on UA-cam is as professional as Peter Finch
I Love the editing on your recent videos . Long time fan. Keep it up!
Fellas, G425 Max are marked down everywhere and still available new. Just FYI. Ugly sound? Yep. Crazy forgiving driver, also yep.
Hey Peter, first off I'm a big fan. I enjoy the content I'm not sure if you are aware but the is an aftermarket adapter available that adjusts to -2. It's on ebay.
Interesting stats I might have to take a test myself, thanks for the video
Bravo - better review than you know who on this one! 🎉
Well.
Great video! Appreciate the extensive review
Every review I seen last year raved about the paradym. I hit a buddies triple diamond and gotta say. It just felt dead. It performed great, just didn’t give you that pop feel off the face. And that was his thoughts as well. Wonder if it is still the same.
Great review Pete. Preferred yours to Ricks. Glad you actually focused on the dispersion, which I think is the larger claim with the new driver. 👍🏼
Great review and a great looking driver, love that Smokey grey pattern
I still have my Paradym X. I would love to get the Smoke just for the cool factor, but I’m still striping it down the center of the fairway as a 20 handicap. Kinda hard to justify $600 for just an extra 2 yards of carry.
Companies have to sell product, or they’ll go out of business. Of course they’re gonna try to make it sound as good as possible.
I wish I had this driver. Best golf content bar none
A fantastic review and a big difference Peter ❤
Great stuff Peter... Keep up the great work.
