The pulse carbines do 10*3-4 dmg, meaning a total of 30-40*acc, whereas pulse rifles do 4*5-7 dmg for a total of 20-28*acc. As armor is percentile (10% damge reduction per point) there's an extra hidden effectiveness against it in the rilfe. Combined with the extra range it might actually be worth it.
My opinion on overwatch, setting it at at the optimum distance only lets a few of your men shoot, the ones at very long range. Considering it is a free shot, might as well set it to the most reasonable long range, rather than not shooting at all, which is evident at 6:40 , look at practically the whole army who does 0 damage, rather than lots of small damage.
I don't know how it works on the tabletop, but having the enemy surround you does kind of negate the objective. I imagine killing off the entire enemy army wouldn't be as problematic if it'd require you (or make sense for you) to take and hold the area. Aside from the enemy positions at the start maybe it would help giving the area some sort of tactical advantage like high ground or cover. Would also make more sense than it being just another stretch of unremarkable ground. - edit - Thanks for the videos, by the way.

You still not using your Crisis suits' jet boost when many times it would have gotten you into a much better position
It was annoying to me when you used the power for extra fire only to waste crisis suits to use missiles.
This game really needs an sequel if they're going to include every faction in the franchise
Ooooh friends!
Piranha friends! 👍
