- What we perceive to be the edge of our universe is not the actual edge of the universe, with most scientists in agreement that more space lies hidden beyond what we're able to see. Last time out, we travelled to the very edge of our observable universe. But today, we will be going even farther, as we wade out into the darkness of the unobservable universe.

Thank you to everyone who watched and enjoyed this. I’ve been planning this vid for more than 2 years and I hope you all enjoy watching it as much as I did making it. Merry Christmas and see you in 2023 🍺
From the bottom of my hearth: Thank you so much for your videos ❤
I enjoyed it, will watch it again tomorrow. Hope you make stacks of cash for it and get ultra famous. Thank You.
Thanks for the amazing content bro merry Christmas 🎄 🎅
Love your videos bud. Merry Christmas!
Thank you for your videos they make me actually think about these things and i love this shit i put on ur vids spark a lil sum and just let my mind run mind with theory's and different ideas thank you truly
my name is kuiper and im autistic and my special interest since i was really young has been space. I watch all your videos over and over and i never get tired of them. You make the most informative and comforting videos on space and there’s nothing better than your content in my opinion. your content makes me so so happy, and i love sharing these videos with all my friends too! these videos help me sleep too and i just can’t thank you enough for what you do
Hi Kuiper, that’s really kind of you and I’m so glad you enjoy these videos. And thank you so much for the incredibly generous donation, I really appreciate it and please don’t feel pressured to give something off the back of these videos, this is already a very generous donation and just your viewership of the channel is invaluable to what I do 😊 thanks again and all the best 💚
@@sea_space very thoughtful and beautiful response ❤💯
I also find videos like this good for falling asleep to.
I’m gonna find you and your gonna be sorry

It’s amazing we get to watch this level of content for free. This channel is way better then the stuff I see on Netflix. He goes into such depth with facts that are actually true. The video is 40 minutes of actual knowledge and i love every second of it .
So true. This channel & History of the Universe are both of INSANE quality!
Indeed we are blessed by channels like SEA, one of my absolute favourites. Used intelligently the internet is pore honey for a curious mind! I am 69 yrs old and still amazed and full of wonder
You should allow him to slide into your cheeks for free too☺️
You know you can support your favourite content creators instead of paying for netflix, right?

I was born with many difficulties in my life. Although I am not fully educated, I have a strong love for science and the universe. Thank you for bringing it to me. Love you

Hope the difficulties you have experienced have served only to make you stronger and more determined to learn and grow. Best wishes.
I love this channel so i decided to do a shot everytime he says universe ✨️ im so drunk 🥴 🥴🥴

Came out of this understanding less than what I understood coming in. This is how you know when a science video is amazing.
Well i will say that more understanding but with a lot more questions arised
It's ten minutes to 3 in the morning. There's a blizzard raging outside and i'm curled up in bed under many blankets watching this video. I've never felt at once so large and so small; so tethered to my immediate physical time and place, and so free to wander a possibly infinite universe. This video is a master work. I love that we know so much, and I love that there is so much we may never know.
it’s no good staying up that late, you owe it to yourself to give your body a good schedule
My video will be done around ten to 3 lol
@@HarryG98
There were literally trees blowing down left and right during this blizzard. All evening long I just stood at the kitchen window watching a complete white-out surround me, waiting for something to slam into the house. It was an unreal couple days in the Buffalo, NY area. Mother Nature giveth, and Mother Nature taketh away....
Can I get under the blankets with you ?😂

The cyclical, never-ending, forever identically looping concept of a Toroidal Universe is both supremely terrifying and deeply comforting.

It's not accurate
@@hennersssCare to elaborate, buddy?
@@ProxinemIdk what his argument is….but just to play devils advocate….you cant actually prove what he’s saying because we cant actually see it to prove it. Idk. Seems pretty obvious to me.
@@hennerssswho said this video was "accurate"?? Scarecrow...
I love the idea of a cyclical universe, where everything begins anew, instead of every photon and proton eventually decaying into nothing, and the universe becoming a graveyard of what once was. But I also understand that the universe is under no obligation to make sense to me or bend to my wishes. This content is so awesome! Thanks so much!
I don't think you could put my thoughts into words any better! It gives me a warm fuzzy to think it goes on forever, even though in probably 30-40 or so years I won't be around to see beyond that timeframe.
You would live a number of lifetimes that makes a number so large the human total population will never reach it including if we never go extinct.
So it doesnt really matter.
I like that too
Still it is not a 0% chance that from an endless entropy something might eventually form into existence. Boltzmann brain theory for example
@@mr.voidroy6869 No humans will ever see it, but it matters in a philosophical sense.
I play your videos for my astronomy students pretty regularly and they are always in awe at what you're describing. As the semester is coming close to an end, I cannot wait to show them this video after watching the cosmic scale at the start of the year.
Thank you for making such fantastic content!
I would have fallen in love with astronomy many years ago if I saw these videos in class!
These kind of comments fill me with particular joy, because I actually got into this stuff via my physics teacher playing me largest star videos in 2009/2010. And if I can have any similar impact to students that’s friggin incredible to me personally
Lol, your students are paying for you to teach, not play them youtube videos. Lazy

4D Hyper Torus fan here. One simple reason. "As above, so below. As below, so above" All around us, on every level we can see, the nature of things is cyclical. An explanation that jives with that is simply best. The Universe is expanding, and indeed accelerating from our point of view. Without knowing exactly how, I know that it won't continue to do it forever. That's like a crest without a trough, a light without dark, a yin without yang. Nothing works that way. Nothing.
This is my main theory for why the “big bang” happened. If every other observable process is cyclical, why not universal creation? Who’s to say gravity doesn’t eventually pull all matter together after the heat death and explode back into a fresh new universe?
Then again, it’s a theory subject to change, but it’s the best i can come up with.
You mean a 3-torus? I think that and the surface of a hypersphere are equally plausible
I watch videos like this all the time and you had by FAR the most understandable explanations for some very trippy concepts. Well done!
We were left hanging with your last upload! The wait, while unbearable, was well worth it for this gem 💎! Thank you 🙏 SEA for allowing us to make this incredible journey into the great unknown with you.
you havent even watched it
Yes it has been unbearable, but now, finally...
Am not surprised anymore with this guy.
You won't find a science show on Netflix or anywhere with this quality and clarity that just focuses on the science like this. And it's just one dude🤯.
Done it again hats off to u Sir.
This might be your best work yet!Unbelievably well put together and very explanatory! Thank you for this awesome content 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Simply amazing that anyone can follow along with your videos, regardless of our backgrounds in cosmology and physics (or lack thereof in my case), and still come away with an appreciable understanding of the topics covered. Just thank you.
The mystery of reality can haunt your mind sometimes, but the human brain is just something else. Are we just gonna accept that we can describe the 10^-31 seconds after the universe was born? It's so crazy what humans can do. I think we are a burning flame in an endless sea of emptiness. Thank you for this great video.
I feel like I'm at school where my favorite teacher teaches me one of my favorite subject and I absorb every word from him. After the class is over, I will remain in a pleasant state and look forward to learning more next time.
SEA creates a state of dependence that I have never encountered before, not even with Neil deGrasse Tyson, who has a very pleasant style of telling stories and making himself understood by every person on the planet.
Addiction is more beautiful and sweeter with SEA! Thank you so much !!!
The best cosmic videos on UA-cam

I hadn't even watched this yet...but already owe you a sincere thank you to express appreciation & encourage more great content. Stay blessed & thanks again for all the hard work that goes into these great videos. A favorite channel for sure
Wow, this video is absolutely mind-blowing! It's so incredible to think about the vastness of the universe and how much we still have yet to discover. The visuals in this video are absolutely stunning and really help to bring the concept to life. I especially appreciated the explanations of the various theories and phenomena being discussed, as it really helped me to better understand the complex concepts being presented. Overall, this is a fantastic educational resource and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about the mysteries of the universe. Great work!
It's not that vast, you can fit the entirety of the universes possibilities in a single 13x13 square grid.
Even if we started expanding as fast as we could, we'll probably never go beyond our galaxy local group. The expansion of space time will take away all the other galaxy clusters beyond the observable limit. Light speed is too slow to explore the universe.
Wow! Great presentation. I will need to watch it again. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing. I’ve been obsessively learning about our "existence" for a few years now. The more I learn the more I realize I know so little. It’s overwhelming at times.

Thanks man! I just wandered into your video, I cannot truthfully claim to be passionate about Cosmology, though I am fascinated by the Universe. And, for the first time, I understood something about the shape of the Universe, Dark Energy, Anti Gravity, what lies beyond the observable Universe, etc. I thank you once again!
These sorts of videos are a religious experience for me. I believe in God _and_ science.
It annoys me how so many people act like they're mutually exclusive. 🙄
I'm always in such awe and reverence when learning about the Universe,
and I wish more people would think _outside_ the box...or y'know, the Bible.
There are means for exploring the holistic path that are not legal in some or many countries, but they can be quite potent. The experience of transcending both science dogma and religious dogma can be quite overwhelming. And ultimately, all it can do is provide the diet. The student still has to be able to digest it.
These should go straight to Netflix or such! Great job, hopefully we will soon discover more of this mystery we are in.

Very enjoyable. I’m just an infotainment seeker but this glued together so many bits and pieces that I felt like an expert for a moment. Whilst we may never know what’s beyond our visible universe, the fact that some can conceive plausible descriptions and communicate them so lay people can understand-ish, says it may not be impossible and so-what if it is.

As always, your videos continue to amaze me.
Super fantastic content. Love the pace at which you proceed. This episode is another masterpiece.
It's interesting to realize we live in the past, that we only react to what we perceive as now a fraction of a second ago. The farther away we can detect light, the more obvious this becomes. yet at the same time: The light we perceive perceives no distance, no time. To the perspective of a photon it is transmitted and received in the same instant. Both of these realities are entangled and quite true.
also, everything we know of is moving relative to everything else: systems, galaxies, strings, etc. If everything is moving and spinning then it is probable that if the universe is expanding it is also rotating. But as far as we can tell the universe if flat? We're looking billions of years into the past relative to our position...
@Human Being Yet, cannot physically place anything/travel into the past...only can we view light from said past. Such an oxymoron it seems. Light/radiation be all like: "Yeah, I come from 450 million years ago. What?! You can't even look back at yesterday? You guys are so far behind, wow!" Lol.
