I know what you mean. Best method to avoid trashy videos is skipping everything with sensational titles with words like “shocking” “mysterious “ “secret “ “unbelievable “ etc.
I don't know what's more terrifying: knowing that such vacuum monsters exist in the universe, or knowing that, even though they are billions of kilometers wide, these monsters still represent a minuscule point in the universe and we are just waiting to find another one that's even BIGGER than these gigantic vacuums, and it will probably represent another minuscule point in the never-ending universe.
You make absolutely fantastic content that I don't see many other channels equaling, much less surpassing. I am so glad that you haven't gone down the road of clickbaity titles/thumbnails and nothing-burger topics like Astrum has of late. Please never change!
I recently just finished watching most of his videos, all the way down to the one about Clowns and now hes uploaded another video about Black Holes, im amazed i didnt find this channel earlier its so much fun to just sit back and enjoy simple but fascinating and long documentaries about space.
The rarity, mostly. If we assume that on the large scale the universe is mostly the same, with only local degrees of randomness, then the likelihood of two 40 billion solar mass black holes forming close enough to one-another to collide in a 13.7 billion year timeframe is near-impossibly rare. Excluding Phoenix A and the Camelopardalis black hole for unreliability, we've found a grand total of four 40 billion solar mass black holes, a fifth which could be one with generous estimation, and if we assume Phoenix A and Camelopardalis to be at 40 billion, that would make seven. Five reliable estimations (seven including the unreliables). Going back to the relatively even distribution of matter in the universe at-scale, you would need an asymmetric region of space flooded with plasma in the early universe where two equally sized galaxies (as opposed to one incredibly massive one) would be formed, chiefly from the direct collapse of all of that gas. Supermassive black holes are rare enough as-is; don't forget that the observable universe is 93 billion light years in diameter, and we've found only FIVE of those boiz. tl;dr: Big space empty, not enough time.
What I love about these documentaries from your channel is that you always seem to take us on a journey through deep space or in our milky way just to show us some stuff and with out breaking away from the topic to talk about something else. Good job
@@ishitatiwari6056 Probably because it was ‘newer’ even though it is not accurate. The user that added it to Wikipedia just said ‘update’ in the edit summary. I was thinking of adding the 20 billion solar masses back.
Half an hour never passed so fast. I was glued to the screen in amazement of our incredible and scary universe. Shows us how much we still don't know, and how small we actually are. Beautiful video. ❤
Soooo, am I gonna see the fictional Gargantua on this? :'D JK. Really excited to watch this since black holes are one of the most fascinating mysteries of the universe and the subject of my personal interest!
he explained it in the video. It's because of the physics at play at the size. The amount and state of the gas and matter in the accretion disk at that size of blackhole would cause stars to form. Then their radiation would cause the surrounding gas and matter to dissipate out of the accretion disk which would then slow / thwart the black hole's consumption thus limiting their size to ~50 billion solar masses
Black hole basically Don't have a size limit. And If a black hole breaks this theoretical size limit which you talked about then it is supposed to suck up the unstable part of the accretion disk. However, Ton 618 violates this limit.
So excited to watch this. Thank you as always SEA. Your videos are a masterpiece. I anticipate they will be extensively referenced for education systems in the future
Thank you very much for yet another illuminating video, sir! It is utterly mind boggling. I haven´t felt this small since I was still fluid. Love your channel. Keep it up. 😍
the fact he started with Geometry Dash content and then went to space related content is amazing. space related content is better than geometry dash imo.
You know at some point does it really matter how big a black hole can get? It's so mind boggling to even conceive a super massive black hole being 100,000 times the mass of the sun let alone 40,000,000,000x the sun's mass. So 60,000,000,000 or 100,000,000,000 are just dumbfoundingly absurd. Very cool and interesting but just insanely absurd.
SEA.. Great work. Your one of the best . !!! It's your ability of projecting an honest report regrading the fundamental topics of the cosmos. Everyone can feel your enthusiasm.
There is a certain primal horror about these massive black holes. Imagine floating in space just a few kilometers away from it: When you face it, you can turn your head entirely from left to right and all you would see would be utter blackness, the actual void. Just trying to imagine an object that large and menacing sends shivers down my spine.

Black holes aren't vacuums. They don't stuck things in. But for the rest; Yes space is literally incomprehensibly big.
I’m always looking forward to your videos. I absolutely love the way you narrate. Great job SEA. Keep up the great work.
Dude, I have a 35 minute commute to and from college, making these videos literally perfect to listen to during the drive. Hope you keep making these!
Tonka Tokugawa!
Thank you for debunking that Phoenix A* 100 billion mass estimate! When I first heard of it, I knew something was a bit off.
IKR astrokobi , seekers of the cosmos were lying to us.
It's here!!! Thank you for what you do bro
Thank you we love you and your brilliant work
Exactly the topic I was hoping you to cover! Love it!
Everytime Sea releases a new video it feels like Christmas :)
I was deeply looking for this channel, thank you sir
SEA I swear to God if this is another joke about my mom I'm going to lose it
CHRISTIANITY is a JOKE
Truly masterful. An enormous amount of your following wasn’t interested in science or space before they found your content.
What's preventing 2 40 billion black holes from merging?
Yo mama
I love the whole topic of black holes! Currently working on a realtime render ^^
What I love about these documentaries from your channel is that you always seem to take us on a journey through deep space or in our milky way just to show us some stuff and with out breaking away from the topic to talk about something else. Good job
great work keep it up
Again, the best channel on UA-cam. Outstanding work as usual
Can't wait to fall asleep to this
Always quality content!
Glad that you checked up on the article instead of just reshuffling the sources! I really valued that!
23:45 That black hole also was known before to have a mass of ~20 billion solar masses which is also a reason to doubt the 10^11 Msol.
If it is 20 billion solar masses why suddenly it is said to be 100 billion solar masses?
@@ishitatiwari6056 Probably because it was ‘newer’ even though it is not accurate. The user that added it to Wikipedia just said ‘update’ in the edit summary. I was thinking of adding the 20 billion solar masses back.
@@SpaceImplorerExplorerImplorerSo overall Phoenix a is not the largest black hole?
@@ishitatiwari6056 no
@@SpaceImplorerExplorerImplorer So that means ... Ton 618 is again the best shot for the biggest black hole?
Here we go! Been waiting for this the the hole week 😂
Superb, as always ❤
This channal Is the universe becoming aware if itself!!
I'm gonna sleep so goddamn good.
I can't believe I just discovered this channel . I watch stuff like this all the time and its only recently UA-cam recommend it.
Your editing has gotten insane, as someone who watched u in your geometry dash days I can say you’ve improved a lot!
Half an hour never passed so fast. I was glued to the screen in amazement of our incredible and scary universe. Shows us how much we still don't know, and how small we actually are. Beautiful video. ❤
Instant favorite.
This is a fantastic break down for anyone new to learning about black holes. Thank you for this video.
damn i remember you from the geometry dash days :)
thank you! great video, as always! I'm gonna rewatch it several times for sure.
Soooo, am I gonna see the fictional Gargantua on this? :'D
JK. Really excited to watch this since black holes are one of the most fascinating mysteries of the universe and the subject of my personal interest!
Been watching ever since you were dissin' Cyrillic and making the Legends Series. Amazing work as always!
Thank you so much for the donation, and it’s good to see someone around from the early GD days 🙂🙏
Who remembers the good old gd days 🙂
I just got a new phone and this video was perfect for trying out its better picture quality 😍
I would like to know why scientists think black holes have a limit of 50 billion solar masses?
he explained it in the video.
Since į found this channel couple years ago never missed a single video. Great content as always. Keep it up!
So excited to watch this. Thank you as always SEA. Your videos are a masterpiece. I anticipate they will be extensively referenced for education systems in the future
40 billion solar masses. Sea, keep up the great work. You blow my mind. I always look forward to your videos.
Thank you very much for yet another illuminating video, sir! It is utterly mind boggling. I haven´t felt this small since I was still fluid.
Love your channel. Keep it up. 😍
You can definitely see the passion in the videos here, certainly more than the old Geometry Dash videos that SEA used to make.
Absolutely mindboggling! Thank you for the awesome content, SEA 💪👍
the fact he started with Geometry Dash content and then went to space related content is amazing. space related content is better than geometry dash imo.
Last time i was this early, sea was still making gd content
You know at some point does it really matter how big a black hole can get? It's so mind boggling to even conceive a super massive black hole being 100,000 times the mass of the sun let alone 40,000,000,000x the sun's mass. So 60,000,000,000 or 100,000,000,000 are just dumbfoundingly absurd. Very cool and interesting but just insanely absurd.
Phoenix A doesn't need to be the largest to be special, its definitely unique in its behavior and surroundings compared to other studied Black Holes.
And ton 618 is da biggest shiny boy
Just when I needed him the most he returns
thoughts on spaceuk hacking?
My guy he doesnt play the game anymore
SEA.. Great work. Your one of the best . !!! It's your ability of projecting an honest report regrading the fundamental topics of the cosmos. Everyone can feel your enthusiasm.
This is truly one of the geometry dash documentaries of all time
There is a certain primal horror about these massive black holes. Imagine floating in space just a few kilometers away from it: When you face it, you can turn your head entirely from left to right and all you would see would be utter blackness, the actual void. Just trying to imagine an object that large and menacing sends shivers down my spine.
