TBC and WOTLK are incredibly outdated, it's very hard to follow the story in the region of wrath and only 2 of the zones follow arthas and his scourge, the rest of the time you only revive and help other things or end wars etc, but you never actually deal with anything arthas has done. No city gets attacked (except undercity and that was patched out) no part of azeroth is attacked except for northrend, which is not even an important region to the alliance or horde, it's just a filler location if we remove arthas' backstory. As a new player who loved warcraft 3 and still hope to play through the entire campaign again when re-reforged is out, this expansion was pain. There was only four cinematics of arthas in the entire expansion, you only see him in one raid really, except one where you run from him and another where you fight him and the rest of the time you just...explore the region and do grindy side content. it's all filler content until you actually get to the wrath gate. Then when the wrathgate is done, there's no guide to what happens next, and once you do enter the next region (Ice crown) there's no sense of urgency at all. And TBC? even worse, go here kill 10 things, now go back to the same location, kill 10 more things. Oh yea, Illidan's story is only only one zone. (why was Illidan then on the front of the damn expansion!) Story wise, these expansions suck. I don't like MMO'S in general (except ESO as it has good stories!) but my point is, these are not fun to level through and they aren't good story wise at all. I realize you guys experienced it differently when it came out, but...fuck man, it does not hold up at all.
Damn, I'm old enough to have played, witnessed, and enjoyed! The "original release of wotlk." Now we have the "remastered/classic" edition of cata in 2024...Keep it up, it's a cool throwback to the old days!
Great movie of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. This expansion has one of the greatest stories right next to Legion. Maybe there will be films of both Wrath of the Lich King and Legion sometime in the future, maybe with the same animation style as these games.
Simple compared to later expansions but incredibly well done. A compelling story with stakes and a tragic backstory. I could not wait for that final encounter against the greatest antagonist in my opinion. The death cinematic a fitting end to a legend. Well a kind of end…

I wish they created a proper movie like LOTR or something.. not this garbage Warcraft movie. The lore of WoW is so fucking deep and epic, it would 100% become the biggest hit. So fucking lame they're wasting such potential for a movie, it just blows my mind.
I think they started nicely with the WoW movie only if they start making WoW 2, etc going forward to Lich King story and so on it will be bigger then Marvel movies.
