Amazing Remaster of one of the most iconic scenes in Warcraft history. For me, this cinematic was the end of World of Warcraft. Sure, there were more expansions, there were more final bosses and impressive cinematics but never again a boss kill felt like this. There was never this sense of closure of the story arc that started when we followed Arthas to discover the source of the mysterious Scourge plague in Human Campaign in W3. Good night, sweet Prince.
I agree, except I came back for Legion which was pretty good though and closed even more story threads, they could've ended WoW with Legion if it was ran by the structure of the story alone, but gotta keep that cash coming in
Wrath of the Lich King was the highest point of WoW for me. First raiding guild, a ton of friends, and the closest I ever got to BiS. I will always treasure those memories.
@@barrelz8646 The reason he sucks is because ever since he got popular he became a massive douche who no longer respects the source material and just goes for what looks cool that will get him the views, his remasters dropped in quality ever since Blizzard hired him to make their arena adverts and his only response to criticism was that he doesn't care. I liked IKEdit, I will always like his older remasters, but after his response to criticism on the Ulduar "remaster" (quotes because I don't consider that to be a remaster), I'm completely fine with not seeing his work anymore. I'm just glad that he inspired others to do the same, and honestly these guys have done a better job than IKEdit ever did, they did a complete 1:1 remaster of the original, no funny business with hiding certain angles that are too hard to animate and making up new shots like IKEdit did.
The fact that the all music for the WoW was composed, rehearsed, played, conducted, recorded, mixed, mastered and so on... by people we will never met or know their names.....please give them a respect
Arthas was a tale about how even the greatest of us can fall if we are not careful. We can lose ourselves to the abyss, starring at it too long. The Abyss of darkness is endless and before long we too can become the Abyss. Arthas was a hero in life, and a villain in undeath. But Arthas could have still been redeemed and I think he did in his last moments. True, it doesnt change the horrible things he did. The lives taken can never be returned and many were cheated of living their lives out in peace. But what were his intentions? How much of it was him and how much was it Frostmourne? Arthas in his right mind would have never done the things he did as a DK and later LK. It started the moment his friends chose to abandon him rather than council him.

Arthas just looks like a scared boy, it’s fantastic to see that at the end of his life, that’s what he really was, a scared man willing to go any distance for his people.
his heart was so big, he made more for his people than any other human leader, although it was used by Nerzul later, but still, no other human was as heroic as Arthas, he was young, but he didn't fear to go ends of earth even to battle some great evil which plagued his people, selfless

A more fitting analogy would be Activision as Frostmourne/Lich King, and Blizzard as Arthas - true, the aquisition wasn't exactly voluntary on Blizz's behalf, but Arthas believed he had no other choice either, so it checks out. You could maybe add the "succeeding" part for Warcraft 3 being succeeded by WoW, killing off any chances that another Warcraft strategy ever comes out. And then Illidan from TBC steps in, telling us we were NOT prepared for Reforged...
Even with the curveball of a twist that really came out of nowhere, still the absolute peak of Warcraft. As far as I'm concerned, this is how it ended. *No king rules forever.* Fantastic work remastering this. As close to perfect as you could get it.
I love the attention to detail in this fan made remaster. You can see Tirion's mouth accurately moving in the reflection on the jewel that is on the crown of domination! Excellent job!
It’s kinda sad how Arthas was once determined to save his people and kingdom but he wasn’t thinking straight about how to better fight the undead and now he had become the very evil he had swore to destroy because he took up Frostmourne and it took his soul He was once a noble prince and now he is the Lich King
@kota h make me love both of those characters so much more it's hard not to pity them both immensely seeing arthas in such a state hearing how in hell he suffers it just sucks
I do not agree with that. he just played both sides of the conflict. one of the things to take into account is who is "his people" and what it means saving them. the way I see it, arthas feels relieved once defeated. as if being the lich king was a burden to him. one that he had to endure to save his people from a worse fate. and now, with his death, that burden is lifted, for him, and he can find peace in death. even if there's "nothing but darkness before me" even that is better than having to carry the burden of being the lich king. so, in the end, Arthas, even as lich king. continued to work to save his people. and if everything else failed... he could always add his people to his army. it's another way to "save" them. note (no need to read): I hate with passion the fact that blizzard always favores the alliance races. Illidain was a bad guy but, in legion, he proves to be on the good side. the end of arthas showed, in my opinion, that arthas wasn't as evil as he looked, and something tells me that, in shadowlands, we will get proof of that fact when he appears again. will we see the good side of garrosh or Sylvanas? perhaps, but I wouldn't bet a copper coin against all your gold. (end of the rant. my apologies for it)

Wait rly now you say ikedit sucks , despite all the cool stuff he made too
They remastered the beginning of fall of the lich king

It started the moment his friends chose to abandon him rather than council him.
literally the moment he touched frostmourne he became a different man, it literally was arthas without a soul

“ Do it Tyrion, you must get wrecked by Gul dan in Legion to make sure people know he is a villain, this last act of service is mine “
Better than anything in Reforged and better than the ending of BFA.
I feel bad for Arthas. I can See fear and sadness in his eyes.
That was great, you really cooked with this.
It’s kinda sad how Arthas was once determined to save his people and kingdom but he wasn’t thinking straight about how to better fight the undead and now he had become the very evil he had swore to destroy because he took up Frostmourne and it took his soul
He was once a noble prince and now he is the Lich King
"you've become the very thing you swore to destroy"
- a Very wise Bearded man
@kota h make me love both of those characters so much more it's hard not to pity them both immensely seeing arthas in such a state hearing how in hell he suffers it just sucks
I do not agree with that. he just played both sides of the conflict.
one of the things to take into account is who is "his people" and what it means saving them.
the way I see it, arthas feels relieved once defeated. as if being the lich king was a burden to him. one that he had to endure to save his people from a worse fate. and now, with his death, that burden is lifted, for him, and he can find peace in death. even if there's "nothing but darkness before me" even that is better than having to carry the burden of being the lich king.
so, in the end, Arthas, even as lich king. continued to work to save his people. and if everything else failed... he could always add his people to his army. it's another way to "save" them.
note (no need to read):
I hate with passion the fact that blizzard always favores the alliance races.
