Definitely my favourite 4x4 related channel, so relatable and genuine. I Love buying average things and turning them into something next level. Keep up the great work mate, hopefully see you on the tracks some day 🤙🏻🤙🏻
AGM is good if you have the room to put a few in. Remember you only have 50% effictive capacity on them, so you dont have much wiggle room to operate in with only 60ah.
Another way you could have done it was to mount the shower tent on a draw slide off the front of the tent, so it just slides out. Nice set up though mate
Mate what a quality job you absolutely killed this trailer build and I’m looking forward to finding out how much you and the fam enjoyed the first camping trip 🤙🏼
i am actually going through this same process with my ute tub camping trailer. I found the best place was over the A frame and have it hinge around so it was parallel with the side of the A frame. I think you hinge is way better than mine, so might steal your work...lol...
Yoo mate 😁 new to your channel and loving it so far, Honestly man you're an inspiration to me! I'm new to the 4x4 family as I always wanted to own my own but never had the opportunity. Now finally I got my first 1991 80series, long way to go as we want to go in camping trips around Europe so I want to make it comfortable specially for the wife😊 Keep it up man and again love learning from you 💪
Love the build, I’ve have the same issue with my gas struts to not being able to hold up the rooftop tent and the gas struts I’ve got are 500Nm but will definitely need to upgrade the Nm gas struts, so when you upgraded your gas struts how many Nm did you end upgrading to?
Lithium Kicks-Arse( how good was that?) Way more usable power & way cheaper in the long run. I used AGM & was very disappointed. 120AH is only 60AH usable. No gusetting on the bracket?? Looking forward to you building the Poo-troll & the touring/camping videos
Just binge watched the trailer build man. Real nice stuff! similar to what i wanted to do with one of these old girls. I very surprised you haven't put shocks on it. It would be much kinder on your gear inside especially the electronics.
Looking mint bro, I’ve got a V8 87 rangie classic I’m building she’s got paint and barwork to go and then done, currently building the batt system up been trying to find a good deep cycle for second batt might have to look into kick ass for a 120 👌🏻
Haa I can’t believe it, this is literally exactly what I need to make next for my trailer, I was only saying last weekend I need to build a bracket with a 90 swing out hahah Coincidence’s hahaha Looks awesome bro
@@RoamLyfe Glad you clarified that ;) because lead acid/AGM batteries take a long time to charge back up. So AGM does the job for weekend work but very painful for anything else .
I’m only talking for the average bloke who is camping over the weekend! I’d say that a $1500 battery is out of the question for most! Including me!! 😓😂😂
🛻🌊🏞️🤙😎📹 the more I see this trailer now the more I kinda want one . but I still wanna have my tinny , haha it does seem very practical in not having to packup ur campsite to go 4wding that's all.
Can't wait for the 'I should have got lithium from the start' update vid. This trailer looks mint and now i know 12v blankets are a thing
✔️GOOD POINT! Probably asked for lithium, however, KA, only gave the AGM?🤔
Love watching Diesel doing his own thing in the background 😂
Haha he’s something else hey hahaha

That shower turned out sweet. I love the sponsorship you are getting.
"AGM is where it's at"😂
😂😂😂
It's come a long way, keep up the good work. Working out the mounting location for either end of the strut is an effort I've found.
Good on KickAss for jumping on board. 🍺❤️👍🇦🇺
Legends!!
kickass are doing all the things right, love them

binging on a great trailer build series but lithium is your friend mate
Try mounting toe gas struts with the trailer end mounted back towards the hinge you can use stronger struts and it’s easier to put them up and down
Depending on the setup lithium is well worth it, weight being one but you can use like 80% of the charge compared ti the 50% of a AGM
Yeah I agree, if you where relying on your 12v setup on a two week trip it would be worth it for sure and weight can be huge for AGM!!
Another way you could have done it was to mount the shower tent on a draw slide off the front of the tent, so it just slides out. Nice set up though mate
Trailers looking great mate can't wait to see full camp trip setup
Mate what a quality job you absolutely killed this trailer build and I’m looking forward to finding out how much you and the fam enjoyed the first camping trip 🤙🏼
Awesome! Do you have a video of the water system? As in how you ran lines and connected everything? Thanks.
“Chuck on the bracket cos it’s probably dry”
Hands covered in black paint. Love it 😂😂
Keep up the quality content!
Awesome. Congratulations
The Trailer is looking great, I have used the kickass gear for about 5 years now, and rate them pretty high, I've never had an issue
Agree, much better than the 4x4SuperCentre junk
I would highly recommend getting hardcor lighting in on the build

That's a good setup
Bunnings bucket and hot water shower when we took our youngest one to straddie when he was 2 weeks old . Missus will approve to mate top job.
That’s a great idea actually, might have to invest in a bucket 😂😂
@@RoamLyfe buckets are the go, plenty of photos of me out bush having a bath in a bucket 😂
You nailed it again.....well done.
Thanks Malcolm!

Hey mate, curious where you bought those support legs than can be moved up and down from
I did something similar to this. But i cant weld so it was a bolt together job on my roof racks. Worked great, the struts rust in a few days tho lol.
Another brilliant video bud. Keep it up 🤙🏼
Thanks mate!!
Hey @RoamLyfe, in your 15 minute build video what paint did you spray the under body with?
looks great man
All you need now is some form of organisation in the draw and tool box
Nice work mate
you should by a rear car awning and mount it at the back
Trailer looks unreal mate, where did you buy the trailer from ?
When do we get to meet the little fella mate? Keep up the great work sir!
Love it bro. What the side for the awaing braket might make one
hey m8 love the vids, I'm raptor coating my swb safari and really like the colour coal just wondering if i could get the colour code

I went lithium and love it mate.
13kg for a 110amp. I can discharge 80 to 90% if needed. Loving the build mate.🇦🇺👍❤️🍺
Lithium is awesome don’t get me wrong!! I’m only talking for the average bloke thats watching my channel to go for a weekend camp! 👌

Do a geo tracker build please!!!!!!!
How big is the gas strut for The tent man?
Kings sell exact same shower awning $120-00
If I wouldn’t have seen your number plate I would’ve thought you have a West Aussie accent mate
R.i.p Coal
💂i would have mounted it on the front in the center and it swinging out to the same position you have it now ( OCD ) 😅
🍻 💂
Mint 👍🏼
Thanks legend!
Nice build but cmon mate. Lithium is a waste of money farkin LOL. you basically only have a 60ah battery. AGM is dead technology
How much is this kick ass shower cost.
chicken pie
Something I simply must know and forgive me I’m Irish, but are you saying Arse or Ass???
Ridiculous thing to say about lithium batteries.

@@RoamLyfe try from $700
@@lyleneumann2245 still out of reach for many people
one battery has been your problem all along.........hint,
With all that stuff you put on your trailer is probably overweight!
I actually found out my trailer is registered as a 900kgs

I agree with u about the lithium battery prices . and I also do need a new 120ah battery . been looking for a decent one .
you never use galvonised steel so it doesn't rust .? u always get these blue ones , at least u paint it good tho .
