Boondocking would be okay, since a person stays in one place for a while, perhaps multiple weeks. It looks uninhabitable all closed up, though. It'd be great if one could at least climb in and sleep in the case of bad weather conditions or arriving at night when it's a bad time (or simply inconsiderate) to set up camp. I'm going to subscribe, because I want to see these minds further at work. Something great will come forth, just not this time. Consider it a prototype. They should have a variety of people test it out for troubleshooting and brainstorming improvements for the next update.

I can think of one scenario where this camper works. If you are going down really rough trails where a regular camper won't fit or would get shaken apart, and once you get there you're planning to stay at least a week, AND you go to multiple places like that, not your own property where you could build a cabin instead.
In that one scenario this would work for a person who doesn't like putting up with minimalist camping for a week at a time.

I love this concept! A+ for creative solutioneering. It reminds me of the videos of creative multiuse artists make of their Manhattan apartments, where they need to be studio, bedroom, and kitchen/living area, but can't be all three at the same time. The modularity and folding away of an entire home. It left me with a couple of "why" questions, though; and the tent poles burst my enthusiasm. The poles look just like three housekeeping failures I've experienced: the meh shower pole with 4 shelves, that I've forced to persevere and now only has two shelves and is very flimsy; the ironing board/laundry bags (3) combo that mostly works but falls apart frequently, and the canvas shelf unit that was an embarrassing waste of money on mostly nonrecyclable materials. Perhaps it requires seeing and feeling them in-person to ascertain the quality of your components Now for the whys. It seems odd that the pull-out tray adjacent to the cooktop uses the same airspace. It also seemed strange that fold-outs by the fridge were facing the opposite direction from the cooking area, while the fridge was in between. I would like to see that configuration tweaked, somehow, to one person could access all the prep area at once, with priority over direct access between stove and fridge-which is nice, but awkward in this layout. Could the fridge move to where the pull out tray is? Perhaps embed the stove where the fridge is now, and allow it to swivel so as to use it in the same position it was here. It seems the stove slide-out could be embedded in that larger slide-out, rotate 90° within the larger tray, then pull out perpendicularly either alongside the camper or extending it, choice upon use. That would certainly help with potential air/smoke circulation.

Hmmm, I bring a couple of ice chests, a pillow, put a sleeping bag in the back seat of my truck and I'm good for the weekend. I used to unload the horse, sweep out the trailer and make camp back there but it was too much trouble. Had to put down the indoor/outdoor carpet, drag a couple of mattress pads out of the back seat of the truck, move the coolers back there, etc. Then the worst part was putting everything back away to drive home after 2 full days of trail riding. 😉

Ridiculous amount of work to set it up. Have to have the owners manual on hand at all times.

Nice we have had a dry summer. It does occasionally rain, and putting that unit away in the rain would turn into quite the experience. We do enjoy our truck camper, steps down open door.

Nice camper, I like to see a cassette toilet built in to the wall and you open the hatch behind it and just slide out the tank and dump it. It’s nice because the waste tank lasts for days. But still love the camper. I wish you sold this in the US.

Can you imagine how long it would take to get replacement parts????? And then have to do the work yourself? Sounds like a fun time to me.

What a ridiculous amount of faffing around required to set that thing up. Would someone own a vehicle like this just to make an impression on their neighbours in a caravan park, perhap? Whoever designed this piece of nonsense has obviously never camped, and particularly, never set up camp in the rain. Sheesh, get a teardrop instead, folks. No setting up at all.

I bought a reliable used Cargo Van...outfitted with bed memory foam mattress,50quart 12volt/110volt freezer/refrigerator, 340 watts of Solar...
A Solar Generator,Gas Inverter Generator, folding 5foot lightweight table, got 2 cheap like new cole camp stoves 1 propane 1 white gas or pump gas only caveat with pump gas requires occasional cleaning of the components. Have a catalytic heater & Mr Buddy plus a Little Buddy heater.. -30 sleeping bag pillows extra covers & blankets. Cookware utensils Etc. 5gallon Water jug, got good set of sockets basic tire repair kit air compressor, good hydraulic Jack and commonly used hand tools.. power inverter myriad of lights, several flashlights, gas can etc. Canned goods and non perishables.. 6x6 Canopy and other things. It all stores neatly in home Depot storage containers and under bed. Solar panels are secured and stored on top of mattress.... I had a family member that stopped camping gave me some things... Most everything else was easily found second hand at yard sales thrift stores or Facebook market place Craigslist.. I can use this van as extra vehicle if needed. Having stated all that I got under $4,000 in Everything vehicle included!! Bought the van in Fall of 2019 it was a Carpent Installer's Company Van that had been meticulously maintained for $1,000 with 150K Miles ... its a 1 ton V8 4 speed Automatic no frills work van and the 4 years I've owned it I've only put 2 hundred dollars in repairs.. it's mechanically sound and very dependable. Tires are still good... Exhaust and brakes are still perfect... Start idols and runs like brand new... The best part if I ever have to get another Van everything can be easily moved to other van... Don't have to worry about leaks and very safe inside when sleeping.. it has excellent ground clearance and with a heavy duty frame and suspension with aggressive tread on rear tires it allows accessing places that towing a camper would be near impossible... The Badger is very expensive for something you have to tow and you're still sleeping in a tent... As things start to wear out it would be very expensive to fix and maintain... Unless you have money to burn it seems very very impractical.

What’s “Extreme” is how cumbersome and time consuming this thing is for what limited capabilities and amenities that it provides. My Airstream Basecamp will go just as far off-road as this one, can be towed by an SUV, doesn’t require any significant set up or tear down, has air conditioning, heat, a flushable toilet, inside kitchen, water and waste tanks, and it’s much more weather resistant and bear proof. Many teardrop campers are similarly appointed. Who is the target market for this ridiculously complicated camper?

This is one of those......."just because you can doesn't mean you should" things. Neat concepts. Well thought out and quite visionary, but as a total package?
I'll keep camping simple. There's nothing on my off road teardrop I can't fix or worry about breaking in the middle of a trip.
